The article discusses scientific curation as being digital and social. The author discusses digital curation, which he links to e-science, which maintains, preserves, and validates digital research data through their life cycle. He also discusses social curation which allows an individual researcher to edit Web content and a team of researchers to read social research representations or act collectively within the framework of one activity such as crowdsourcing or open peer review.
