The objective of this article is to show the vulnerability of economic growth in Africa to external shocks, relative to other regions of the developing world. Moreover, we tried to explain this vulnerability theoretically and empirically. The main explanatory factors are; domestic demand, the level of development of the financial system and the quality of exports. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The object of this work is to analyze economic growth in African countries. The approach followed consists in using recent developments in econometrics of non-stationary panel data to examine the relationship between the industrial sector and economic growth for a sample of 10 African countries during the period (1995-2015), distinguished in two panels. From a theoretical point of view, economic theory confirms the importance of the contribution of the industrial sector in economic growth. The results of our empirical verifications have shown that there is indeed a positive and statistically significant effect of the level of industrialization on economic growth in these two groups of countries. This paper examines, in the context of MENA region, the impact of information and communication technology on the growth and dynamics of international income inequality. It checks whether the technology could be a means reducing the income gap between these countries from developed countries or contrary it allows increasing it, and examine the inter-relationship between ICT and economic growth. The results highlight the non-existence of a causal relationship between ICT investment and economic growth and emphasize a key role of ICT in increasing the international gap between the countries of MENA and OECD countries. The objective of this paper is to determine the factors affecting the level of insurance using different models and econometric techniques on data for the period 1974- 2011. The results of the MCO indicate that the real density depends positively on real GDP per capita, the liquidity ratio and the life expectancy and negatively on the level of study. The test of Granger causality does not indicate a causal relationship between the real density and real GDP per capita. In this article, we aim to examine the multidimensional nature of the political instability in developing countries and to derive new measures of political instability. To this end, we use a principal components analysis on a set of 25 indicators of political instability for 114 developing countries. We arrived to detect four dimensions of political instability, namely; the level of democracy, violence and politically motivated protest, the effects of neighboring countries, and instability in government. This article provides an empirical analysis of intra-industry trade in the developing regions (Middle East, Europe C / O, NPI, Latin America and Africa) with the rest of the world and with developed countries in the period 1993-2001 similarities and differences of trade relations in these regions are analyzed using the index Grubel-Lloyd (GL). We note that different estimation methods yield different results, and the relationship between trade openness and growth is far from simple and needs to be treated with great caution. Poverty is a multidimensional problem which presents many faces and it is no longer restricted to the lack of income. It is a subject that worries economists and policy makers which seek the best ways to fight against and reduce its magnitude. Our work fits into this framework and its objectives is to contribute to the debate on the role of economic growth, public spending and generational relations in alleviation poverty in Tunisia using a multidimensional approach. To do it, we develop, first of all, the state of the literature on these topics. Then, we study the incidence of these factors on four dimensions of poverty relating exclusively to health and education. The study period spans the years 1970-2012. The objective of our work is to show the importance of a healthy institutional framework in the finance-growth relation. In this context, we start by presenting, a theoretical lighting on this subject while trying to define the concept of the governorship and to determine its various measurements. Then, we empirically test a model of growth of Solow increased by the human capital to treating the relation between financial intermediation, institutions and economic growth. The various estimates were made by Vector Autoregressive Method over the period of 1980 to 2011 for Tunisia. Following these estimates, it seems that the quality of the institutions is regarded as an important factor which must not be neglected in the study of the relation between the financial sphere and the real sphere.
