This paper uses daily data to investigate the behavior of institutional investors in Taiwan’s stock market. We adopted TGARCH and EGARCH models to test various news. We found that, for the entire sample, a significant clustering phenomenon exists in the investment behavior of three institutional investors, and the impact due to a change of news content shows significant asymmetry and leverage effects. That is, the impact of bad news from the market is stronger than that of good news. In addition, an asymmetric phenomenon can also be seen for the international news aspect as responded to by foreign institutional investors. This phenomenon is more significant than those of the dealers and institutional trust investors. Moreover, the asymmetric phenomenon as responded to by the dealers for domestic news is more significant than those of foreign investors and institutional trust investors.

Objective: To explore the key genes and their expression profiles in L-arginine biosynthesis and metabolic pathways in renal cell carcinoma (RCC) using bioinformatics methods. Methods: Differential expression analysis, prediction of upstream transcription factors, and survival analysis were carried out using gene expression data from RCC patients in the TCGA public database and clinical data. Results: Among 64 genes related to L-arginine anabolism, only the gene PYCR1 was up-regulated (P < 0.01); 31 genes were down-regulated (P < 0.05), including argininosuccinate synthase (ASS1), argininosuccinate lyase (ASL), and arginase 2 (ARG2). The transcriptional activators of these three genes, BRD2, EGR1, HNF4A, JUN, NFYA, NFYB, NFYC, SPI1, and TCF7L2, were down-regulated in cancer, whereas the transcriptional repressors c- Myc, ATF4, and ZNF263, were up-regulated. It is hypothesised that the down-regulation of these three genes is associated with changes in the expression of the above transcription factors. In addition, compared to control samples, the correlation between ASL and ASS1 in expression became weaker in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), papillary renal cell carcinoma (pRCC), and chromophobe renal cell carcinoma (chRCC), from 0.77, 0.86, and 0.85, respectively, to 0.36, 0.16, and 0.24. Respectively, high expression of ASL corresponded to longer ccRCC patients' overall survival (OS) (P = 0.024), which could be an independent prognostic factor for pRCC (P = 0.04). Conclusions: It is hypothesized that down-regulation of ASL, ASS1 and ARG2 expression leads to inhibition of the L-arginine-related pathway, which in turn correlates with RCC development, and that this down-regulation may be due to changes in transcription factor expression.

Environmental sciences ,GE1-350 - Abstract
In the current environment of China's vigorous development of energy storage, it is essential to carry out research on the benefits and economic evaluation of new energy storage. This paper establishes a framework for analyzing the revenue models of various types of energy storage under different scenarios. The framework complements the lack of previous studies on energy storage regulation under power generation systems such as wind power and coal power. In addition, a variety of scenarios were developed for the application of energy storage in the spot market, secondary service market, capacity market and user-side trading market. The results show that the case study energy storage plant has the highest revenue in the spot market, followed by the capacity market, and relatively low revenue in the secondary service market, while the leasing service can also bring a lot of revenue for the energy storage plant and thus become one of the more promising energy storage revenue models in the future.

Environmental sciences ,GE1-350 - Abstract
Field monitoring of water quality during the autumn flood season in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River in 2021 was carried out. During this period, a host of methods, including the single-factor evaluation method, index evaluation method, and fuzzy mathematics method, were utilized to evaluate the water quality status. The relevant findings indicate that the water quality of the mainstream and tributaries in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River in the autumn flood season is excellent, which meets the water function zoning and water quality goals. In particular, the single-factor evaluation method emphasizes the use of the single index with the most serious pollution to represent the comprehensive water quality category, whereas the fuzzy mathematics method uses the multi-factor contribution rate to calculate the membership degree of water quality. Therefore, it is superior to the single-factor evaluation method in determining the water quality of the water functional zones within the evaluation scope. Meanwhile, the Nemerow index of the water quality of the tributaries of Yiluo River and Qinhe River at the section entering the Yellow River is lower than that of the mainstream, indicating that the water quality of tributaries is better than that of the mainstream during the monitoring period. Overall, the results of this research are conducive to the objective evaluation of the water quality of the Yellow River during the autumn flood season, thus providing more scientific technical support for the ecological conservation and restoration of the Yellow River basin.

Environmental sciences ,GE1-350 - Abstract
Air injection has been widely considered as a technology to enhanced heavy oil recovery on account of the heavy oil upgrading caused by high temperature oxidation during this process. This paper aims at exploring the effects of oxidation thermal processing in a porous media at high temperature from 500 to 540℃ which is the high temperature oxidation range of heavy oil known from TG results, and reaction time from 8 to 16 hours for heavy oil upgrading. It was suggested that the viscosity decreased with the temperature and retention time increased due to getting less ring structure seen from IR Spectrum results. It was observed that the viscosity of heavy oil was reduced 1 to 2 orders of magnitude. Besides, the kinetics of heavy oil upgrading were analysed using five pseudo components including HO (C35+), MO (C15 ~ C35), LO (C5 ~ C14), coke, G (gas products) and successfully predicted the products results with an error of 4.34%, and great correlation to Arrhenius equation. The activation energies obtained are in the range of 44 ~ 215 kJ/mol. This work has great value in revealing the mechanisms of high temperature oxidation heavy oil upgrading and assisting heavy oil production.

Environmental sciences ,GE1-350 - Abstract
In order to a the flow of the plane flow field induced by the inner rod rotates and revolves in the cylinder, the Fluent software is used to numerically simulate the plane flow field of the eccentric annulus generated by the planetary motion of the rod string and based on the superposition principle. The velocity distribution and secondary flow of the two flow fields, as well as the fluid force on the inner rod are analyzed. The calculation results show that the flow field induced by the eccentric rotation of the inner rod and the self-rotation of the outer cylinder is quite different from the planetary motion of the inner rod. When rotation of the inner rod has the same direction with the revolution direction, the fluid velocity distribution near the wall of the inner rod is that the velocity on the narrow space side of the annulus is large, and on the wide space side is small. There is a critical value of eccentricity for secondary flow appears when the eccentricity is greater than this value. When rotation of the inner rod is contrary to the revolution, the fluid velocity distribution near the wall of the inner rod is that the velocity on the wide space side of the annulus is large, on the narrow space side is small. Different eccentricity has obvious secondary flow phenomenon where appears in a wide gap and close to the inner rod. When the inner rod revolves, there is a critical value of eccentricity, the inner rod is pushed outward by the fluid force when the eccentricity is less than this critical value. On the contrary, the inner rod is pushed inward. When rotation and revolution are reversed, the critical value of eccentricity increases, when the rotation and revolution are in the same direction, the critical value of eccentricity decreases.

Environmental sciences ,GE1-350 - Abstract
Regional comprehensive energy is the focus of current research, and electric vehicles are an important part of regional energy. The orderly participation of regional EV groups in demand response for optimal scheduling of charge and discharge can not only save the charging cost of EV owners, but also smooth the load fluctuation caused by EV charging. In this paper, an Integrated Energy Electric Vehicle Scheduling Model Based on Prospect Theory is proposed. Firstly, the optimal charging and discharging strategy of each Electric Vehicle is obtained Based on the price demand response Model. Secondly, a decision-making method of participation willingness based on the prospect theory is proposed to consider the risk bias of EV owners. Finally, a case study is provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. Compared with electric vehicles participating in random charging, the optimization model proposed in this paper reduces the cost by 32% and the average hourly load by 67%.

Accurate information about regional precipitation and trends in spatiotemporal variation is crucial, both from the perspective of quantifying water budgets and to determine appropriate vegetation restoration. The objectives of this study were to evaluate spatiotemporal changes in precipitation and to analyze the monthly, annual, and seasonal precipitation trends of 85 stations in the Loess Plateau during 1957−2013. The Mann−Kendall test and Sen’s slope estimator were applied to analyze the precipitation data. Monthly precipitation trends exhibited apparent regional differences over the Loess Plateau, significant increasing trends in rainfall were found in winter. On the seasonal scale, the magnitude of significant negative trends in seasonal rainfall varied from 0.595 mm/yr2 to 2.732 mm/yr2. The magnitude of significant positive trends varied from 0.010 mm/yr2 to 1.987 mm/yr2. One of the most remarkable findings was that all the stations showed significant positive trends in winter. For annual average rainfall, the magnitude of significant positive trends varied from 2.075 mm/yr2 to 3.427 mm/yr2. No significant negative trends were detected. Although, the annual average rainfall over the Loess Plateau showed a non-significant increasing trend, the seasonal and regional pattern was obvious. Such findings can provide important implications for ecological restoration and farming operations across the study region.

Engineering (General). Civil engineering (General) ,TA1-2040 - Abstract
To better coordinate the interaction of inhalation and aerosol release, an intelligent adapter (IA) was developed for metered dose inhalers (MDIs). The adapter included three main units: a signal acquisition device, a micro-control-unit (MCU), and an actuation mechanism. To fully study the effectiveness of the intelligent adapter, an inhalation simulation experiment was done, and two bands of MDI were used for the experiment. The results indicated that, when inhalation, the intelligent adapter can press down the MDI automatically; moreover, this intelligent adapter could achieve an aerosol-release time Tr of 0.4 s for MDI A and 0.60 s for MDI B, which compares very well with the existing pure mechanical systems at 0.8 s and 1.0 s.
