This paper examines the potential of piezoelectric substances in presenting sustainable and renewable energy solutions, that specialize in energy harvesting and self-maintaining smart sensing mechanisms inside numerous systems. Highlighting the inefficacy of conventional construction substances like simple cement paste in energy capture, this study delves into current methodologies that expand the piezoelectric abilities of cement-based composites through innovative admixtures and physical treatments. Additionally, the research explores the broader utilization of piezoelectric materials across various sectors together with healthcare, environmental tracking, and consumer electronics, propelled by using the need for wireless sensing nodes and embedded microsystems to have a reliable power source. Emphasizing the environmental advantages, this paper affords a comparative analysis of cutting-edge developments, challenges, and future possibilities within the area of piezoelectric power harvesting (PEH), which include the exploration of lead-free substances and the advancement in hybrid energy harvesting devices.

Losses, at every point in the food system, impact how much the nutritional demands of an increasing world’s population can be sustainably met. The food losses in the primary production (farm-level) play a significant role. The farmers believe that the food losses are not a problem and represent an intrinsic part of farming. Primary production losses are not trivial, and knowledge is needed about the factors that influence the food losses. Many factors can cause food losses that occur in the primary production, including but not limited to: insects, pests, diseases; unfavourable environmental conditions; improper harvesting techniques and distribution and storage infrastructure; price volatility, overproduction; high retail standards, limits on primary processing. This paper aims to provide an overview of the factors influencing food losses in the primary production phase.

Abstract: The heat wave that struck France in 2003 has been accompanied with an estimated 15 000 excess deaths. This paper stresses the difficulties of the epidemiology of such an event. The relevant clinical and biological information is incomplete or even inaccessible and many of the deaths are due to multiple factors. The data presently available indicate that the deaths occurred in persons already vulnerable, and that the heat wave caused a five- to eight-month loss of lifetime for the affected individuals. There is a noteworthy similarity between the profiles of this exceptional summer mortality surge, and those of many past winters when similar or larger excess mortalities have occurred without as yet eliciting much public attention. This paper, the model considered is a predator-prey model for an exploited population. Predator and prey species in the offered concept have schooling characteristics. The characteristics of schooling are very similar to behavior in natural ecosystems. Based on the equilibrium analysis obtained five equilibrium points. The equilibrium point is the only one that satisfies the equilibrium model based on the Routh-Hurwitz criteria. Meanwhile, harvesting effort using the chosen equilibrium point was also calculated in the study. The principle of bionomic equilibrium is a method of showing the results of harvesting as a parameter control. Numerical simulations are also carried tor to validate the findings in the research discussion. Parameters taken from assumptions and references become important and critical references. Trajectories show a population of prey and predator one population that continues to be sustainable despite harvesting efforts. Meanwhile, different trajectories are shown by the population of two predators, which experienced a decrease in population growth. Harvesting attempts carried out on predator two continuously until a certain time will result in serious extinctions.
