Many discourses emphasize the great educational potential of digital technologies. These technologies can renew both the activities carried out with students, the management of their learning paths, working methods, etc. In theory, this will be beneficial for education. But the evolution of these technologies in the field of education does not necessarily lead to idyllic results. In reality, the changes observed in these areas are slow and are based on very localized, rarely convergent, and often incomplete. Several elements are likely to determine the uses of computer technologies: the strategies of publishers and links with «EdTech» companies; political choices (in terms of curricula, equipment, examinations, etc.); materials (tablets, smartphones, etc.); educational resources, their modes of production and exchange, the place of free educational resources; changes in national and European legislation about digital matters. In this paper, we will try to show how the French publishing landscape and access to educational resources is currently undergoing important changes, starting from a configuration where textbooks are central to sketch out the current situation, where the supply of online digital resources seems to open up alternatives. We will rely in particular on the case of a portal of resources financed by the Ministry of National Education and published by consortia bringing together publishers and EdTech structures. La reutilización de información fue introducida por la directiva europea 2003/98/CE y apoyada por la ley española 37/2007 para dar un enfoque uniforme a los aspectos relativos a la reutilización de datos del sector público. Se pretende caracterizar la información y analizar diversos aspectos de la reutilización de la información en la Comunidad Autónoma de Madrid. Se presenta el Portal de datos públicos como resultado de la investigación, y se recomienda la creación de productos de información, normalización, control, comunicación y difusión para potenciar la reutilización de la información madrileña.Re-use of information was introduced by European Directive 2003/98/EC and supported by the Spanish Law 37/2007 in order to provide a uniform approach on all aspects related to the re-use of public sector data. The study aims to characterize the information and analyze different aspects of the re-use of information in the Autonomous Community of Madrid. The article presents the public data Web portal as a result of our research and it recommends the creation of information products, standardization, control, communication and dissemination to promote the re-use of information in Madrid.

Television industries around the world have weathered profound change as technologies advanced and services developed to allow internet-distributed television to compete alongside broadcast and cable-distributed television. This article, drawn from the context of the U.S., explores the emergence of internet-distributed television as a mechanism that provides the affordance of nonlinear distribution. It assesses the preliminary organization of internet-distributed television by portals and explores the similarities and differences between portals and networks/channels with an eye toward conceptualizing emerging business practices and strategies. The abundant vascular structures that surround the shoulder joint are complex and variable, complicating arthroscopy approaches. The aim of this study is to determine safe and risky areas around standard posterior and standard anterior portals, and accounting for the distribution of neurovascular structures of small and medium diameters that can lead to intra-articular bleeding during surgery. The standard posterior portal, and standard anterior portal were placed as described in the literature, and punch dissection was performed 2.5 cm around the trocar in situ. The arrangement of each identified structure was photographically documented and digitalized for each anatomic plane; the distance to the trocar and the diameter of each structure were measured. Based on each digitalized anatomic plane, safe and risky tissue areas were determined, and a clock face coordinate system was used to represent these areas. The safe area around the standard posterior portal was located between 11 and 1 o'clock for the left shoulder and 11 and 2 o'clock for the right shoulder. For the standard anterior portal, the safe area was located between 2 and 3 o'clock for the left shoulder and between 9 and 12 o'clock for the right shoulder. However, we did document a risk of injuring the cephalic vein 5 times, the axillary artery 3 times and the deltoid branch of the thoracoacromial artery once. This study reports quantitatively the total number of small diameter structures present in the two shoulder arthroscopic portals evaluated. The safe areas proposed in this study must be evaluated to propose new access points for performing arthroscopic procedures on the shoulder. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Este artículo pretende ilustrar un aspecto poco tratado sobre la presencia de los museos en Internet. Se trata de la gestión de los portales de los centros, y como esta actividad afecta a la organización del propio personal del museo, así como su adaptación a este nuevo entorno. Actualmente se orienta hacia un modelo que permite implicar activamente al personal en la gestión del contenido del portal, a partir de la adaptación de Gestores de Contenidos de software libre. El texto refleja los cambios experimentados en los proyectos realizados por el grupo Òliba en los últimos años y plantea una reflexión sobre la aplicación de dichos gestores.

Internet y su tecnología han transformado los Medios de Comunicación Social, generando nuevos modelos comunicativos entre los que destacan los portales periodísticos como figuras emergentes. Para comprender este fenómeno es conveniente realizar una revisión de la evolución del periodismo electrónico. Los portales periodísticos se están consolidando como nuevos medios de comunicación social y para disponer de una percepción adecuada del estado de la cuestión, es preciso un análisis taxonómico de los componentes de estos portales: productos informativos, productos documentales y servicios de valor añadido. Esta observación permitirá definir el grado de desarrollo en el que se encuentran los portales periodísticos, señalando tanto los aspectos más positivos como las carencias identificadas. Como resultado de la revisión se propone un modelo de referencia para el diseño de los portales periodísticos, con base en una serie de niveles que permitirán el establecimiento de un principio metodológico para futuros proyectos sobre esta cuestión.

El World Wide Web presenta problemas de acceso a la información de una orden de magnitud mayor que cualquiera de los encontrados anteriormente. Se identifican y discuten estos problemas. Aunque es imposible la indización intelectual de todo el Web y, en todo caso, no merece la pena, es esencial la indización selectiva de recursos de alto valor (e. g., mediante portales especializados). También es importante el resumen de recursos Web aunque para algunos propósitos pueden construirse automáticamente resúmenes aceptables. A pesar de los avances en procedimientos automáticos, habrá probablemente una necesidad de habilidades de indización y resumen durante mucho tiempo, aunque este trabajo podría llevarse a cabo de diversas formas

The World Wide Web presents information access problems orders of magnitude greater than any encountered before. These problems are identified and discussed. Although the intellectual indexing of the entire Web is impossible and, in any case, not worthwhile, selective indexing of high value resources (e.g., by means of specialized portals) is essential. The summarization of Web resources (i.e., abstracting) is also important although acceptable abstracts for some purposes may be automatically constructed. Despite advances in automatic procedures, there will probably be a need for indexing and abstracting skills for a very long time, although this work may take on somewhat different forms. Este trabajo pretende analizar cómo Internet se convierte en un medio para el surgimiento de Comunidades Virtuales, siendo éstas una evolución del concepto tradicional de comunidad. En relación con el concepto de Portal, se estudian sus principales características y servicios. Se concluye la necesidad de la aplicación de técnicas documentales a los proyectos de comunidades virtuales, y la utilidad de aplicar el modelo de las comunidades virtuales al diseño de la difusión de información en las instituciones documentales
