Site selection is a critical strategic decision for inland nuclear power plants which have broad prospects of development. However, several shortcomings exist in current researches, such as the incomplete decision frameworks, the indiscriminately treated properties, and the information loss. To handle the above flaws, this study establishes a two‐stage site selection framework. In the first stage, the geographic information system and preselection criteria are applied to identify suitable alternative sites. And in the second stage, the interval type‐2 fuzzy PROMETHEE II and suitability criteria are utilized to rank alternatives and select the optimal site, where different preference functions are selected accordingly. Thereinto, the interval type‐2 fuzzy numbers are adopted to describe the uncertainty and vagueness in calculation, without being transformed to exact value. Finally, based on the proposed two‐stage decision framework, a case of Hunan, Hubei, and Jiangxi provinces is studied, to demonstrate its validity and practicability. The results show that S8 is selected as the optimal site for its strong government support, convenient fuel transport, and land availability. This study not only enriches the material databases for inland nuclear power plant site selection, but also offers theoretical reference for site selection studies of various objects. The purpose of this study is to assess the performance of wind power coupling hydrogen storage projects from the perspective of sustainability. Firstly, an evaluation criteria system for sustainability performance assessment is established, which includes economic, environmental and social aspects. Then, the criteria performances of each alternative are determined by expert groups in the fields of energy economy, energy environment and society sciences. Later, considering the uncertainty in the decision-making, the interval type-2 fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process and the interval type-2 fuzzy Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution technique are employed to weight the criteria and sort the alternatives, respectively. Finally, a case study in Tibet autonomous, China is given to illustrate the effective of the proposed evaluation criteria and technique. The result shows the alternatives A4 gets the highest score. Moreover, the results of sensitivity analysis reveal that the alternative A4 always secures its top ranking when its weight is floating within a certain range. Meanwhile, the weight results show that the criteria of levelized cost of energy and poverty alleviation promotion should gain more attention. The development of low-speed wind farms (LSWFs) has been recognized as the most promising option for onshore wind power project in the future. However, existing research on hilly LSWFs is still insufficient, and site selection is a vital in the construction of LSWF projects. This paper proposes a decision framework to provide investors with guidance for LSWF site selection in hilly areas. First, an indicator system that complies with the peculiarities of hilly LSWF projects has been established from the sustainability perspective. Second, the indicator data are collected by adopting hesitant fuzzy linguistic term sets (HFLTSs) to ensure the completeness of the data. Third, considering the impact of subjective preferences and objective fairness on the indicator weights, a method combining the extended triangular intuitionistic fuzzy number-decision making trial and evaluation laboratory (TIFN-DEMATEL) method and the entropy weight method for multiple data types is used to determine the indicator weights. Fourth, an acronym in Portuguese for interactive multi-criteria decision-making (TODIM), which takes the psychological characteristics of decision makers (DMs) into account, is applied to rank alternative sites.
