Organosulfur-based polymers have unique properties that make them useful for targeted and managed drug delivery, which can improve therapy while reducing side effects. This work aims to provide a brief review of the synthesis strategies, characterization techniques, and packages of organosulfur-based polymers in drug delivery. More importantly, this work discusses the characterization, biocompatibility, controlled release, nanotechnology, and targeted therapeutic aspects of these important structural units. This review provides not only a good comprehension of organosulfur-based polymers but also an insightful discussion of potential future prospectives in research. The discovery of novel organosulfur polymers and innovations is highly expected to be stimulated in order to synthesize polymer prototypes with increased functional accuracy, efficiency, and low cost for many industrial applications. Chiral organoselenium compounds have shown an important role as intermediates in many areas, such as drug discovery, organic catalysis, and nanomaterials. A lot of different methods have been developed to synthesize chiral compounds which contain selenium, because they have interesting properties and can be used in real life. Over the last few decades, a lot of progress has been made in synthesizing chiral organoselenium compounds. This work gives an overview of the progress made in creating new ways to synthesize chiral organoselenium compounds by categorizing them into groups based on the reactions they undergo. A three‐component reaction involving alkenes, N‐sulfonylhydrazones, and N‐bromosuccinimide (NBS) is described that uses Indium(III) triflate for the synthesis of bromoethyl sulfonyl hydrazones. Using N‐tosylhydrazones as a nitrogen source and NBS as a bromine source, this intermolecular aminobromination of alkenes is carried out under air in mild conditions. Organochalcogen molecules have extensive applications in various fields. They serve as pharmaceuticals, ligands, organocatalysts, agrochemicals, and other functional materials. Difunctionalization of olefins, which belong to a class of multicomponent reactions, is a successful technique for introducing two functional moieties in a single‐step reaction, both in terms of atom economy and step economy. The difunctionalization of olefins with diorganyl dichalcogenides may effectively increase the molecular complexity, which has achieved significant advancements in recent decades. We have developed a diversity‐oriented, substrate‐controlled, chemoselective synthetic method for a variety of structurally diverse 1‐sulfonylquinazoline‐2,4(1H,3H)‐diones and 2‐sulfonamidobenzonitriles. This substrate‐controlled synthesis is accomplished through the condensation reaction of 2‐(sulfonamido)benzamides with or without an N‐methyl group on the amides. The reactions are fulfilled within half an hour at room temperature with solid triphosgene as a convenient condensing agent and pyridine as an acid acceptor. Enantiomerically enriched five‐ and six‐membered benzo oxygen heterocycles are privileged architectures in functional organic molecules. Over the last several years, many effective methods have been established to access these compounds. However, comprehensive documents cover updated methodologies still in highly demand. A three‐component reaction of olefins, indoles, and diaryl diselenides catalyzed by copper chloride under irradiation of blue LED light is disclosed. Various diaryl diselenides including diheteroaryl diselenides are suitable for this bifunctionalization of olefins. This protocol provides 26 examples of β‐(hetero)arylselenyl indoles in 60%–87% yields. The proposed mechanism involves activation of diaryl diselenides by coordination with copper chloride, generation of arylselenium cations by heterolysis of activated diaryl diselenides, electrophilic addition of arylselenium cations to styrenes, and then Friedel–Crafts‐type alkylation at the 3‐position of NH‐indoles. Chiral sulfoximines have significant roles in pharmaceutical industry and agricultural chemicals. Furthermore, chiral structurally related sulfoximines are used for their wide potential applications in some uncharted territory. However, chromatographic study on these compounds has not been systematically performed. Herein, this paper describes the enantioseparation of 12 chiral sulfoximines on polysaccharide-based chiral stationary phases (CSPs). Separation factors of chiral column, high-performance liquid chromatography parameters such as mobile phase composition and column temperature were carefully investigated. Chiralcel OJ-H column can resolve all of the 12 compounds, while Chiralpak AD-H column and Chiralpak AS-H column can separate eight and nine molecules, respectively. The sulfoximines are effectively resolved with Chiralcel OJ-H column with a mixture of n -hexane/2-propanol (80:20) as the mobile phase. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

However, the synthesis of these enantioenriched sulfur(VI) compounds has posed significant challenges, necessitating the exploration of diverse synthetic methods. Accordingly, this review aims to provide an in‐depth analysis of the latest advancements in the synthesis of sulfoximines, sulfonimidate esters, sulfonimidamides, and sulfonimidoyl halides, with a focus on developments since 1971. Electrocatalytic water splitting provides an effective way to store electrical energy (i.e., solar and wind energy) intermittently. It is believed that developing electrocatalysts with excellent stability, high catalytic efficiency, and abundant natural reserves is the key to the industrialization of electrochemical water splitting. Herein, nickel–molybdenum electrocatalyst formed on the surface of a low‐cost etched stainless‐steel mesh via a one‐step electrodeposition method exhibits a low hydrogen evolution overpotential of 53 mV and oxygen evolution overpotential of 261 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm−2 due to the synergistic effect of nickel and molybdenum. Moreover, the as‐prepared catalyst demonstrates superior hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) catalytic performance than commercial Pt/C at current density exceed 200 mA cm−2. The electrocatalyst also shows excellent HER and oxygen evolution reaction stabilities at high current density attribute to the tightly bond between electrocatalyst and the etched stainless‐steel mesh, as well as the surface reconstruction of catalyst during the cycle test. The facile electrodeposition method has lower requirements on production equipment, using stainless steel mesh as the basement reduces the production cost, the nickel–molybdenum alloy possesses excellent electrolytic water splitting performance and stability. Sulfoxides and sulfinamides play important roles in the pharmaceutical industry, organic synthesis and fine chemicals. This review will demonstrate that, under catalysis by transition metals, β-sulfinyl esters, as nucleophilic reagents, react with a variety of electrophilic reagents to produce sulfoxides and sulfinamides. A white light/iodosuccinimide (NIS)‐promoted three component reaction of alkenes, N‐sulfonylhydrazones, and diorganyl diselenides for synthesis of organylselenylethyl sulfonylhydrazones under air is disclosed. This intermolecular aminoselenylation of alkenes using N‐tosylhydrazones as nitrogen source was performed under mild conditions and well tolerated for common groups. In addition, heteroaryl and aliphatic diselenides also gave the target compounds. Gram‐scale reaction also carried out smoothly. This protocol has a wide range of substrates and affords moderate to high yields and excellent regioselectivities. The photoactive intermediates from the interaction between NIS and diphenyl diselenide was detected by UV‐visible absorption spectra, which matches the wavelength of the applied white LED. Ring‐opening addition reaction of activated vinyl cyclopropanes with N‐tosylhydrazones in the presence of palladium(0) and triphenylphosphine affords N‐tosylhydrazone butenylmalonate compounds. Aromatic aldehyde‐derived N‐tosylhydrazones produced terminal and internal N‐allylated products, in which the terminal products are the main. While ketone‐derived tosylhydrazones produced only terminal addition products. The transformation relationship of the terminal and internal N‐allylated products in the reaction was also observed. Sulfoximines, a ubiquitous class of structural motifs, are widely present in bioactive molecules and functional materials that have received considerable attention from modern organic chemistry, pharmaceutical industries, and materials science. Sulfoximines have proved to be an effective directing group for C–H functionalization which was widely investigated for the synthesis of cyclic sulfoximines. Within the last decade, great progress has been achieved in the synthesis of cyclic sulfoximines. A novel [3+2]‐cycloaddition reaction of cyclic pyridinium ylides and α,β‐unsaturated ketones derived from indanones for the synthesis of dispiropyrrolidinyloxindoles is described herein. Various types of dispiropyrrolidinyloxindoles can be conveniently accessed with moderate to good yields and up to >99 : 1 dr from easily available pyridinium salts which bear an electron‐withdrawing group on the pyridine ring under mild conditions for short reaction time. N‐Sulfenylation of sulfoximines with thiosulfonates under mild conditions was disclosed. 1,1-Difunctionalization of α ‑carbonyl sulfur ylides and thiosulfonates under simple conditions is disclosed. In this protocol, two new C–S bonds are constructed in a one-step reaction. A series of aliphatic and aromatic β -keto thiosulfones were obtained in moderate to good yields.
