The absence of consistent access to efficient energy sources has far-reaching consequences for people's health, their finances, and the economy as a whole. Using the UNDP human development index as a yardstick, this article compares and contrasts the effects of polluting versus clean energy sources on household economic growth, diverting attention away from the negative health consequences associated with energy poverty. Families who converted to renewable energy had an average 12.2% boost in family development, according to a comparison of 2005 and 2012 data from the Indian Human Development Survey. Taking into consideration the potential for endogeneity does not change the outcomes. We also found that, despite a surge in cleaner energy forms, families are still using polluting sources of power, which goes against our beliefs. A comprehensive evaluation was conducted on the innovation efficiency of advanced manufacturing in China from 2015 to 2017 with BCC model and super efficiency analysis and based on the data from 184 A-share listed advanced manufacturing companies. The results indicate that the total innovation efficiency, pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency of the advanced manufacturing in China are increasing year by year, especially the scale efficiency increases the most significantly; however, the advanced manufacturing is still at a relatively lower level and shows an unbalanced and insufficient development as a whole. In addition, the total innovation efficiency of 14 sub-sectors of the advanced manufacturing is increasing year by year.

Taking China's A-share listed manufacturing enterprises from 2014 to 2020 as objects, this paper discusses the impact and mechanism of corporate digital transformation on supply chain relationship transactions from the perspectives of information asymmetry and agency costs. The findings show that digital transformation significantly inhibits the supply chain relational transactions; the mechanism testing results reveal that digital transformation is conducive to the alleviation of information asymmetry and agency costs, which thereby reduces the degree of supply chain relational transactions; the regulatory effect analysis demonstrates that the impact of digital transformation on supply chain relationship transactions becomes more significant in non-high-tech enterprises and enterprises with less fierce industry competition. Finally, this paper confirms that a decline in the proportion of supply chain relationship transactions can significantly reduce the operational risk of enterprises. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Digital transformation has become a new engine driving the development of enterprises. Based on the data of Chinese A-share listed manufacturing enterprises from 2008 to 2020, this paper measured the intensity of enterprise digital transformation with the help of machine learning method, and empirically investigated the impact mechanism of digital transformation on the quality of enterprise's internal control. It is found that digital transformation can significantly improve the quality of internal control. Mechanism analysis shows that digital transformation has a positive impact on the quality of internal control mainly by reducing agency costs and increasing the shareholding ratio of institutional investors. The results of heterogeneity analysis indicate that the promotion effect of digital transformation on the quality of internal control is more significant in enterprises with small scale and strong manager's ability. In recent years, with the rapid development and popularization of information technology, digital management has become an indispensable part of enterprises. Digital management can improve enterprise efficiency, reduce cost, and optimize service, which is an important means for enterprises to realize transformation and upgrading and improve economic benefits. However, there are still many challenges and bottlenecks in the process of digital transformation. The emergence of cloud computing and big data technology also provides new ideas and methods for digital management. For this reason, this paper used cloud computing and big data to optimize the digital management efficiency of enterprises. It used a data envelopment analysis (DEA) model for analysis. The research results show that under the same other conditions, 140 people agreed and 160 people disagreed with the efficiency of enterprise digital management before optimization. There was no difference between the two. A total of 270 people agreed with the optimized digital management efficiency of the enterprise, while only 30 people disagreed. The significant increase in the number of people who agreed indicated that employees had a very high level of recognition for the efficiency of optimized digital management of the enterprise. These technologies have improved the efficiency of enterprise digital management and provided more practical, operable, and sustainable digital transformation solutions for enterprises. Investment and construction of energy and transport-related infrastructure are closely linked to the achievement of sustainable development goals. China's infrastructure-led foreign investment, technical integration, and tourism with Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) countries have maintained exponential growth. This growth certainly has an impact on economic development mode and environmental sustainability. Therefore, this study examines the impact of infrastructure-led Chinese outward foreign direct investment, tourism development, and technology innovation on carbon emissions across the selected BRI node countries and respective regions. This study employs cross-sectional autoregressive distributive lag model to deal with parameters and cross-sectional heterogeneity. The results exhibit that foreign direct investment and technology innovation reduces carbon emissions in the long run, while tourism development and its interaction with foreign direct investment led to higher emissions in the overall BRI sample. In contrast, the regional estimates show significant variations in the magnitude and direction of the relationship, where foreign direct investment produces an emissions-increasing effect in South Asian and MENA countries. Moreover, the results support the validity of the Environmental Kuznets Curve hypothesis in overall and regional samples. Digital transformation gives enterprises new development momentum and vitality. The existing research studies mainly focused on the economic consequences of the digital transformation of enterprises, and few literatures pay close attention to the driving factors of digital transformation. In particular, they ignored the important role played by the core element of executives. To fill this gap, this study empirically examines the influence mechanism of executive ownership on enterprise digital transformation based on Chinese A-share manufacturing listed companies from 2008 to 2021. The results show that there is an inverted U-shaped relationship between executive ownership and enterprise digital transformation. When the shareholding ratio is low, "interest convergence" is dominant; when the shareholding ratio is high, "trench defense" is more obvious. Heterogeneity analysis shows that the nature of property rights and the degree of industry competition can alleviate the threshold effect of executive ownership on digital transformation, while ownership concentration will aggravate the threshold effect of executive ownership on digital transformation. This study not only enriches the research on the influencing factors of digital transformation but also provides practical guidance for enterprises to improve the design of incentive mechanism and promote the digital transformation of enterprises. In order to promote digital industrialization and industrial digitalization, promote the deep integration of digital technology and real economy, and enable the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries and performance improvement, the method of digital transformation and enterprise performance under the sustainable background based on the mediation effect of behavior integration is proposed. This article adopts the case study method, takes Group A as the research object, and excavates the internal and external motivation and transformation path of Group A's digital transformation by combining the theories of organizational change, process reengineering and enterprise life cycle. Combined with the relevant indicators of four dimensions of balanced scorecard, this article deeply studies the impact of digital transformation on the performance of Group A and its internal mechanism. The experimental results show that compared with Group A before digital transformation, the growth rate of gross margin in 2013 was significantly accelerated, and it has always been in a state of stable growth. However, it fell in 2017, when the year-on-year growth rate of the company's total operating revenue and costs was more than 50%, but the actual growth rate of operating expenses was about 5% higher than that of operating revenue. The comprehensive score of Group A's financial performance in 2012 was very low, which did not achieve the desired effect either in terms of growth ability or business strength. In such a situation, Company A began to implement digital transformation, the overall IT system was to carry out a comprehensive reconstruction in the inventory management mode to implement a new model of "sales to production". By 2013, the financial performance composite score had increased significantly. The comprehensive score of Group A's financial performance in 2012 was very low, which did not achieve the desired effect either in terms of growth ability or business strength. Under such circumstances, Company A began to implement digital transformation, and the overall IT system was comprehensively reconstructed. In the inventory management mode, the new mode of "sales to production" was implemented. By 2013, the financial performance composite score had increased significantly. Conclusion. Reasonable risk-taking acts as a solid foreground for sustaining corporate growth. Having companies trading on Chinese stock exchanges between 2010 and 2019 sampled, this paper explored how an Internet-based business model would affect corporate risk-taking from the perspective of information empowerment. Through the mediation effect model and quantitative text analysis, the following findings were obtained here. First, a network-powered business model could significantly enhance the risk tolerance of companies. Second, mechanism testing showed that such a novel model would help reduce the asymmetry of corporate information and thus enhance corporate risk-taking capacity. Third, an analysis on heterogeneity revealed that businesses that enjoy a freer market and fewer financing constraints could better feel the positive impact of an Internet-based business model on corporate risk-taking. Fourth, an examination of economic consequences showed that risk-taking under Internet-based business models allowed enterprises to create sustainable value. Overall, the present work confirmed the positive impact of an Internet-based business model on corporate risk-taking from the information empowerment angle, and it is expected to provide a theoretical basis for enterprises to optimize their investment decision-making strategies and increase their risk-taking willingness and capacity. Under the backdrop of the continuous escalation of the Sino—U.S. trade friction, China's industrial development environment in global value chains (GVCs) has further deteriorated, research on the improvement GVC status of the Chinese manufacturing industry has become the focus of attention for industry and academia. The direction of R&D inputs are of utmost importance to the improvement of GVC status. However, comparatively little attention has been paid to this topic in existing studies. Following the production activity decomposition framework and combining with the World Input-Output Tables, the action mechanism of R&D inputs on GVC status from two aspects of industrial value-added and embedding position were analyzed, the moderating effect of digital servitization was demonstrated. Results show that: The input of applied research has inverted U-shaped influence on the industrial value-added, while it has U-shaped influence on embedding position; The input of basic research has U-shaped influence on the industrial value-added, while it has inverted U-shaped influence on embedding position; The moderating effect of digital servitization between R&D inputs and GVC status is significant, in the short term, the digital servitization can not only magnify the promotion effect of the applied research inputs on GVC status, but also shorten the lag period of basic research inputs on GVC status. In the long run, the digital servitization can not only weaken the marginalization trend of the applied research inputs on GVC status, but also enhance the positive feedback effect of basic research inputs on GVC status. Background: Value-driven career attitude (VDCA) is considered a dimension of a protean career attitude (PCA). Individuals with this attitude seek out personally meaningful experiences and set their own psychological career success standards. This study investigates the association between value-driven career attitude and job performance. It looks at how organizational citizenship behavior affects the relationship between value-driven career attitudes and job performance., Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was used to collect data from 400 random employees of SMEs in Pakistan during the early pandemic. We chose Cochran's formula to determine the appropriate sample size, and PLS-SEM was used to analyze the model. P-O fit and self-determination theory is the theoretical lenses used in this study. The underpinning theories to this study enable the researchers to establish a link between VDCA, OCB, and job performance., Results: By analyzing a sample of 400 employees from active enterprises, we discover that VDCA contributes to an improvement in job performance. Furthermore, OCB plays an intervening effect in the relationship between VDCA and job performance. Thus, the study provided evidence for the underpinning models of P-O fit and self-determination theory., Conclusion: This study adds to the body of knowledge by investigating the connections between VDCA, OCB, and job performance in SMEs. The existing literature sheds scant light on these linkages, leaving a gap that this study will address. Investors' confidence in the financial market is boosted by good corporate governance (CG). Good governance builds trust and improves an organization's financial performance (FP). However, organizations with bad management lose the trust of their stakeholders because they do not perform well financially. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the influence of CG 89; on FP through mediating the role of humble leadership (HL) and monetary incentive (MI) as a moderator between CG and HL. Data were collected from 300 respondents who were working in various cement manufacturing organizations located in different cities of Pakistan. The analysis was performed using SPSS software version 25 and AMOS version 22 software to work out the study sample size. The result revealed that the framework of CG has a positive impact in terms of FP. Furthermore, HL positively and significantly mediates on CG, and FP is inextricably linked. However, MI acts as a moderator between CG and HL, but despite strengthening, it weakens the impact of CG' on HL. This study contributes toward the literature, specifically toward the expectancy theory literature.
