Landslide susceptibility prediction usually involves the comprehensive analysis of terrain and other factors that may be distributed with spatial patterns. Without considering the spatial correlation and mutual influence between pixels, conventional prediction methods often focus only on information from individual pixels. To address this issue, the present study proposes a new strategy for neighboring pixel collaboration based on the Unified Perceptual Parsing Network (UPerNet), the Vision Transformer (ViT), and Vision Graph Neural Networks (ViG). This strategy efficiently utilizes the strengths of deep learning in feature extraction, sequence modeling, and graph data processing. By considering the information from neighboring pixels, this strategy can more accurately identify susceptible areas and reduce misidentification and omissions. The experimental results suggest that the proposed strategy can predict landslide susceptibility zoning more accurately. These predictions can identify flat areas such as rivers and distinguish between areas with high and very high landslide susceptibility. Such refined zoning outcomes are significant for landslide prevention and mitigation and can help decision-makers formulate targeted response measures.

Abusive supervision has been found to negatively impact employees. Extant literature based on the Social Exchange Theory (SET) has suggested that employees who experience abusive supervision are likely to engage in workplace deviant behaviors to respond to abusive supervision. However, from the standpoint of power distance, employees do not always respond to abusive supervision in negative ways. This paper aims to investigate employees’ perceptions and reactions to abusive supervision over time as well as factors that can impact their coping strategies to abusive supervision. By conducting two studies, including (1) a lagged-designed study with path analysis and mediation and moderation tests and (2) an experiment with independent sample t-tests, I examine employees’ reactions to abusive supervision over time as well as factors that impact their reactions. Results suggest that, over time, employees are likely to reconcile with their abusive supervisors. Furthermore, employees are less likely to reconcile with their abusive supervisor after engaging in workplace deviant behaviors. Furthermore, employees’ need for harmony (NFH) and the perceived value of the relationship with the supervisor (VOR) can impact their reactions to abusive supervision. This paper moves beyond the Social Exchange Theory, the overarching theory in abusive supervision literature, expands our understanding of abusive supervision, and discusses employees’ responses to abusive supervision over time. Contributions, implications, and future research are discussed.

The psychological factors of English as a foreign language (EFL) and English as a second language (ESL) teachers have significant roles in any language learning context. Previous studies in the related literature have shown that L2 learners’ learning, psychological factors, and emotional factors are closely related to teachers’ psychological factors. Mindfulness as one of the psychological attributes of L2 teachers and as a complex and multi-faceted construct influences l2 teachers’ professional development. Hence, this study aims to review the notion of mindfulness and its role in L2 teaching as a profession and pave a way for further research, highlighting its indispensable role in teacher-student relationships. To achieve this goal, this study has reviewed the theoretical perspectives of mindfulness, the construct of mindful L2 teaching education, and mindfulness as a closely related concept to teacher wellbeing. Based on the findings, some pedagogical implications for the policymakers, teacher trainers, materials developers, L2 teachers, and learners are provided. Finally, directions for future research are suggested to the interested L2 researchers.

Abstract Background Neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia (NAIT), caused by maternal antibodies raised against alloantigens carried on foetal platelets, is a very common haematological abnormality in newborns worldwide. However, baseline data on NAIT in China are lacking. Therefore, this study seeks to explore the incidence of alloantibody against the human platelet antigen (HPA) in pregnant women and its associations with NAIT in China. Methods A multicentre, prospective cohort study design will be used, and 55,497 pregnant women will be recruited for the first screening of the anti-HPA antibody at 12 to 28 weeks of gestational age. Subjects who are positive in the first screening for the anti-HPA antibody will be included in the exposure group. Re-tests of the antibody titre, antigen-specificity and genotyping of HPA and HLA will be conducted during admission. A ratio of 1:1 paired individuals with the same ethnicity and parity but testing negative for the anti-HPA antibody will be randomly selected to be included in the non-exposure group. NAIT will be diagnosed in the newborns on day one of the birth. The HPA of the neonates in the exposure group will also be genotyped by sequencing. Associations of maternal HLA with the occurrence of the anti-HPA antibody and correlation of the severity of NAIT with the titre of the anti-HPA antibody will be further analysed. Discussion The study is expected to provide baseline data on NAIT in China. Besides, we hope to find out a population who expresses particular HLA molecules has significant higher risk of HPA alloimmunization in Chinese individuals. We also hope to find a Chinese-specific cut-off antibody titre for the prediction of the severity of NAIT and to provide a means to evaluate the necessity of antenatal treatment. Crowd-based labor has been widely implemented to solve human resource shortages cost-effectively and creatively. However, while investigations into the benefits of crowd-based labor for organizations exist, our understanding of how crowd-based labor practices influence crowd-based worker justice perceptions and worker turnover is notably underdeveloped. To address this issue, we review the extant literature concerning crowd-based labor platforms and propose a conceptual model detailing the relationship between justice perceptions and turnover within the crowd-based work context. Furthermore, we identify antecedents and moderators of justice perceptions that are specific to the crowd-based work context, as well as identify two forms of crowd-based turnover as a result of justice violations: requester and platform turnover. In doing so, we provide a novel conceptual model for advancing nascent research on crowd-based worker perceptions and turnover.

The literature on abusive supervision continues to link it to multiple negative workplace outcomes. Yet, much work remains in unraveling the pathways linking abusive supervision to employees' responses to the perceived abuse. The present study investigated the moderating effects of the impostor phenomenon on employees' discretionary behaviors when abusive supervision is perceived. Findings from two studies reveal that employees who experience high levels of impostorism feelings indicate they may be more likely to engage in organizational citizenship behaviors and refrain from counterproductive work behaviors than employees who experience low levels of impostorism feelings. Corporate social responsibility has been broadly accepted as an effective way to maintain corporations’ sustainability. Many corporations have institutionalized CSR involvement and mobilized their employees to engage in CSR-related activities. However, little research has been done to examine the negative consequences when employees are mandated to engage in CSR activities, not to mention the mechanism connecting CSR mandate and negative consequences. In this research, I found that employees’ CSR engagement under organizational pressure will lead to psychological entitlement, subsequently leading to counterproductive work behaviors. The purpose of this research is to study the moderating effect of servant leadership in the relationships among job demands, mental health, and job performance during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Data from 302 individuals who have been working from home were collected from the United States. Partial least squares was used as the statistical analysis technique. The first analysis examined the direct effect of job demands on individual performance and mental health. The results show that the job demands variable is positively and significantly associated with individual performance and mental health. When the servant leadership variable was introduced as a moderator, high job demands lead to low levels of individual performance when the servant leadership level is low; however, individual performance is also high when the servant leadership level is high. Similarly, when the servant leadership level is low, high job demands lead to low levels of mental health, whereas employees present high levels of mental health when the servant leadership level is high. Therefore, it could be concluded that adopting a servant leadership approach during a crisis could help positively influence employee performance and mental health. The economic growth cycle are generated by inter-sectoral flow of capital and labor that arise endogenously from adaptive economizing behaviour. A more realistic modified model on 'adaptive economizing' shows that optimal growth can be derived if perfect foresight is assumed.

Objectives: Cigarette consumption has become global threat to both smokers and organizations. However, little is known about organizational smoking and vaping policies, and their influence to employees' smoking and vaping behavior. Methods: We collected data from 456 employed smokers, vapers, and/or dual users. Smoking and/or vaping behavior, along with perceived organizational smoking/vaping policies were examined. Results: Vapers reported perceiving more stringent smoking policy, while vapers who reported having workplace vaping policies perceived having generally more stringent vaping policy. Most smokers and vapers are well informed about smoking policy; however, a considerable portion of them do not have a good understanding about organizational vaping policy. Conclusions: Organizations should not consider smoking and vaping to be the same when setting policy. In this paper, the initial expansion process after trigger of vacuum arc was investigated experimentally with two typical axial-magnetic-field (AMF) distributions, i.e., bell-shaped AMF generated by traditional cup-shaped AMF electrodes and saddle-shaped AMF generated by specially designed coil-type AMF electrodes. The motion of cathode spots (CSs) in the initial expansion process was investigated by high-speed digital camera with exposure time of 2 μs. Experimental results indicated that CSs expanded faster under saddle-shaped AMF than under bell-shaped AMF at 5 (rms), 10, 15, and 20 kA. Furthermore, the motion of CSs slowed down between 15 and 20 kA in the case of bell-shaped AMF, whereas CSs tended to quicken up with the increase of arc current under saddle-shaped AMF. Based on the images of CSs, it was proposed that, besides direct influence of AMF on the retrograde motion of CSs, the concentration of CSs at relatively high current and strong central AMF could also inhibit the outward motion in the initial expansion process. The influence of the distribution of axial magnetic fields (AMFs) was investigated experimentally with three pairs of specially designed testing electrodes generating a conventional bell-shaped AMF profile and different saddle-shaped AMF distributions. The characteristics of high-current vacuum arcs (HCVAs) up to 20 kA (rms), e.g., the shape of the arc column and the distribution of cathode spots, were investigated with the aid of a high-speed digital camera with an exposure time of 2 its. Experimental results further manifested the distinct influence of AMF distribution on the characteristics of HCVAs. Saddle-shaped AMFs could resist the constriction of HCVAs more efficiently than traditional bell-shaped AMFs. Furthermore, cathode spots in saddle-shaped AMFs distributed more uniformly than that in bell-shaped AMFs. It was found that AMFs in the central region of saddle-shaped AMFs should not be too weak. Otherwise, cathode spots would be out of control in the central region as observed in experiments. The "optimal" minimal AMF in the central region was estimated to be about 3-4 mT/kA.
