Electrochromic smart windows are promising for building energy savings due to their dynamic regulation of the solar spectrum. Restricted by materials or traditional complementary device configuration, precisely and independently controlling of visible (VIS) and near‐infrared (NIR) light is still on the drawing board. Herein, a novel Zn2+ electrochemically active Ce4W9O33 electrode is reported, which demonstrates three distinct states, including VIS and NIR transparent "bright and warm" state, VIS and NIR opaque "dark and cool" state, VIS transparent and NIR opaque "bright and cool" state. A dual‐operation mode electrochromic platform is also presented by integrating Ce4W9O33/NiO complementary device and Zn anode‐based electrochromic device (Ce4W9O33/Zn/NiO device). Such a platform enables an added VIS opaque and NIR transparent "dark and warm" state, thus realizing four color states through individually controlling Ce4W9O33 and NiO electrodes, respectively. Improving the quality of enterprise innovation is a key path to implementing the innovation‐driven development strategy and thus promoting high‐quality economic development. Using a sample of Chinese A‐share listed companies from 2011 to 2019, this paper empirically examines the impact of institutional investor shareholding (IIS) on corporate innovation quality. The study finds that (1) IIS has a significant effect on the quality of corporate innovation, and it can also improve the quality of corporate innovation by increasing corporate financial support and promoting the efficiency of corporate management. (2) Heterogeneous IISs have different impacts, with pressure‐defensive IIS contributing more significantly to the quality of corporate innovations than pressure‐sensitive IIS. (3) The internal and external environments play an important moderating role. External market competition incentives and supervision means play a positive moderating role; internal financing constraints and business risks play a negative moderating role. Gromov proved a quadratic decay inequality of scalar curvature for a class of complete manifolds. In this paper, we prove that for any uniformly contractible manifold with finite asymptotic dimension, its scalar curvature decays to zero at a rate depending only on the contractibility radius of the manifold and the diameter control of the asymptotic dimension. We construct examples of uniformly contractible manifolds with finite asymptotic dimension whose scalar curvature functions decay arbitrarily slowly. This shows that our result is the best possible. We prove our result by studying the index pairing between Dirac operators and compactly supported vector bundles with Lipschitz control. A key technical ingredient for the proof of our main result is a Lipschitz control for the topological K‐theory of finite dimensional simplicial complexes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Active fractions and constituents with antioxidant and lipid-lowering activities were investigated using bio-assay-guided isolation and identification. The data showed that the antioxidant fraction of A. cepa was AC50%, the main constituents of which were quercetin and isoquercitrin, by way of both ultra-high performance liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS) and bio-assay-guided purification and elucidation. Similarly, the lipid-lowering active fraction of A. cepa was AC30% with the main constituents of 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid and quercetin 3,4′-O-diglucoside. Also, bio-assay-guided isolation led to the isolation and identification of five known compounds with a purity of more than 98%, and quercetin was both the best free radical scavenger and lipid-lowering constituent. Moreover, the mechanism of the lipid-lowering effect of AC30% might be its reduction in mRNA expression levels of sterol regulatory element binding protein 2 (SREBP2) and FAS gene in lipid synthesis. Otherwise, reducing the mRNA expression level of lipid synthesis genes, including SREBP1, SREBP2, fatty acid synthetase (FASN), β-Hydroxy β-methylglutaryl-CoA (HMGCR), stearoyl CoA desaturase 1 (SCD1), and increasing the mRNA expression level of lipid decomposition gene, such as carnitine palmitoyl transferease-1 (CPT1), might be involved in the lipid-lowering activity of quercetin. High-temperature negative thermal quenching (NTQ) phosphors are crucial to high-performance light-emitting devices. Herein, we report the high-temperature NTQ effect in deep-red to near-infrared (NIR) emitting copper iodide cluster-based coordination polymers as unconventional phosphors, whose NTQ operating temperature can reach as high as 500 K, the highest temperature reached by NTQ molecular-based materials. A new luminescent hybrid material with dual-emission centers (Eu@Dye@TpDq hydrogel) based on a covalent organic framework (COF) has been successfully prepared. First, we designed a dye (coumarin) modified COF (TpDq) hybrid fluorescent material (Dye@TpDq), and then the material was formed into a hydrogel film, with an Eu3+ ion being introduced as another luminescent center into the material during the cross-linking process. As a dual-emission fluorescent platform, it exhibits a double-response towards different heavy metal ions: a ratiometric identification response to Cu(II), and a turn-off fluorescence response to Cr(VI). This research not only introduces a novel synthesis of Eu3+-functionalized double emitting COF-based hydrogels, but also inspires the development of COF-based multifunctional analytical tools. Farmers' cooperatives play an important role in enabling small farmers to integrate into modern agriculture. Based on the survey data of 7200 farmers in four provinces of China, this paper uses the multi-dimensional poverty measurement method and the instrumental variable method to reveal the transmission mechanism and multi-dimensional poverty reduction effect of farmers' cooperatives in deep poverty-stricken areas in China to realize joint agricultural empowerment through the supply chain. The results show that farmers' cooperatives play an important role in enhancing small farmers' financing, technology application, market sales, and rights decision-making. Every increase in the degree of interest connection between the two will help farmers reduce the multi-dimensional poverty level by 12.3%, and the mitigation effects on material poverty, ability poverty, and rights poverty are between 10% and 13%. Compared with agricultural cooperatives with weak organizational service capacity, cooperatives with high organizational service capacity have a more significant multi-dimensional poverty reduction effect on farmers, which leads to farmers obtaining financing and improving their ability and income. In addition, the difference in benefit coupling between agricultural cooperatives and farmers of different leading bodies also results in the heterogeneity of multi-dimensional poverty alleviation effects of farmers. To a certain extent, the supply chain is affected by the risk endowment of members, the supply chain's poverty alleviation performance is affected by members' supply chain's poverty alleviation performance, and there is a certain risk transfer and "distribution failure". Therefore, optimizing the benefit coupling structure and risk sharing mechanism between farmers' cooperatives and farmers has become an important way to break the pattern of "the strong are always strong" and "distribution failure" for supply chain members and farmers. Quantitative identification of several volatile organic compounds (VOCs) associated with the same disease provides a strong guarantee of the accurate analysis of the disease. Designing a single luminescent material to interact differently with multiple analytes can generate response patterns with remarkable diversity. Here, a highly green luminescent imine-based 2D COF (TtDFP) is designed and synthesized. TtDFP has ultrasensitive detection performance for trace water in organic solvent. Constructing a ratiometric fluorescence sensor can improve sensitivity for detecting analytes. To contrast the fluorescence signals of Eu3+ and COFs in sensing assays, a simple postsynthetic modification (PSM) method is used to introduce Eu3+ into TtDFP. The obtained red luminescent hybrid material Eu3+@TtDFP EVA film can be a fluorescent nose capable of "sniffing out" and quantifying VOCs (GA and PhA) associated with Huanglongbing (HLB, a devastating disease of citrus) at ppb levels. This work provides a technique of developing functionalized COF hybrid material to facilitate the distinction of various VOCs, which can also be extended to monitor the levels of other VOCs relevant to human health. This article adopts the extended transaction cost theory to analyze the entry mode choices of Chinese multinational enterprises and their effects on overseas business performance. Theoretical hypotheses, which are developed from the perspectives of asset specificity of parent companies and investment environment differences of host countries, are tested with sample data of 406 overseas subsidiaries of Chinese multinational enterprises from 2015 to 2017. The empirical results show that the overseas subsidiaries of Chinese multinational enterprises whose entry mode choices can be predicted by the extended transaction cost theory usually perform significantly better than those whose entry mode choices cannot be predicted by the extended transaction cost theory.
