With the development of the Internet and information technologies, new communication tools have been created that allow researchers to present their research results and communicate with each other. Using visual and audio resources to share research results is a new type of scholarly communication essential for disseminating knowledge and has recently been the focus of journals. Our objective was to help authors, journal editors, and publishers become familiar with the criteria they should consider when producing standard video abstracts. This descriptive study used content analysis. We systematically searched the Web of Science Core Collection and Scopus to identify journals with video abstracts and analyzed their authors’ guidelines to extract the criteria needed for producing and evaluating video abstracts. The research community comprised 209 journals with video abstracts. After reviewing their authors' guidelines, we found that only 90 journals mentioned video abstracts in their authors’ guidelines. Of 90 journals, 22 dedicated authors’ guidelines and 68 journals belong to nine different publishers. Therefore, 31 authors’ guidelines were examined in this study using MAXQDA 12. We identified six main categories, six subcategories, and 87 criteria for producing and evaluating video abstracts. The six main categories included the type of video, technical features, provider features, presentation features, legal aspects, and criteria for publishing and sending video abstracts. Most criteria were related to the technical characteristics of video abstracts, and the least number of criteria were related to attention to legal aspects during the production and evaluation of these abstracts. The scientific community now uses video abstracts as a complementary medium to articles. Researchers can use this type of abstract to share their research results with others. Authors and journals should pay attention to the production criteria when planning to use this type of abstract so that by preparing a suitable video abstract, they can more effectively convey the results of their research to the audience and lead to the promotion of science. Persons with Disabilities are the world's largest minority. This group, like others, needs information and skills to play a positive role in the community. Public libraries play an important role in providing services to the community, including People with Disabilities, by providing a variety of sources and services. The present study has been conducted using the qualitative content analysis method for identifying the types of library services and programs required for people with visually impaired, physically disabled, and hearing impaired using a semi-structured interview. The sample of the study consisted of 84 individuals, including librarians of public libraries and the disabled in the three groups mentioned. The identified library needs and services are categorized into eight categories: planning and budgeting, advertising and service development, library accessibility and physical condition, services and programs, human resources and training, collection, information equipment, and technology and welfare facilities. The category of services and programs had the highest frequency in all three groups of the disabled. In the group of physically disabled individuals, the category of accessibility ranked highest, and in the two groups of the blind and deaf, services and programs had the highest frequency. The need to know about library services in different ways (email, SMS, and social media, ...) had the highest frequency. Public libraries should plan to make the library accessible, and provide a variety of services and programs for individuals with disabilities. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background: Tracheal stenosis remains a challenge in the thoracic surgery field. Recognizing the hot topics and major concepts in this area would help the health policy makers to determine their own priorities and design the effective research plans. The present study analyzed and mapped the topics and trends of tracheal stenosis studies over time as well as authors' and countries' contributions. Materials and Methods: Search results were obtained employing Bibexcel. To determine cold and hot topics, co-occurrence analysis was applied using three international databases 'Web of Science', 'PubMed' and 'Scopus'. Appropriately, different categories in the articles such as keywords, authors, and countries were explored via VOSviewer and NetDraw. Afterward, the trends of research topics were depicted in four time-intervals from 1945 to 2015 by ten co-occurrence terms. Results: The majority of articles were limited to case series and retrospective studies. The studies had been conducted less frequently on prevention, risk factors and incidence determination but extensively on treatment and procedures. Based on the articles indexed in WOS, 45 countries and 8,260 authors have contributed to scientific progress in this field. The highest degree of cooperation occurred between the USA and England with 15 common papers. Conclusions: Most of the published literature in tracheal stenosis research field was about surgical and non-surgical treatments. Conducting the screening and prevention studies would diminish the burden of this disease on the health system as well as the patients and their families' well-being. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
