Objectives Fetal health locus of control has been indicated to effect how mothers approach their health beliefs and health-related decisions. The purpose of this study was to determine the fetal health locus of control (FHLC) level in high-risk pregnancies and to evaluate the factors affecting FHLC in high-risk pregnancies. Materials and Methods The descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted with highrisk pregnant women. A total of 221 participants were included. Results and Discussion It was shown that The Internality Locus of Control was low and The Chance-Based Locus of Control was high in high-risk pregnant women. The current age of women and the age of their first pregnancy had a positively relationship with Powerful Others Locus of Control (FHLC-P). Although FHLC scores of multigravidas were higher than primiparous, no significant difference was found. Besides, there was a significantly higher FHLC-C score in women who did not change their exercise habits during pregnancy (p=0.008). Although the FHLC-I score was higher in women, who made changes in nutrition habits, it was determined that it was not significant. Conclusion The results of fetal health locus of control in high-risk pregnancies will lead to women who have high-risk pregnancies taking responsibility for adapting to the treatment process, taking into account the controls and making lifestyle changes, rather than leaving the situation to fate. This study used Hypnofertility-based interventions to determine whether these interventions would lead to increased fertility preparedness and pregnancy outcomes and decreased cortisol levels in women undergoing In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) treatment. This randomized, controlled, prospective study was conducted from November 2017 through March 2019 in 61 Turkish women with unexplained infertility (intervention group: 30, control group: 31). Hypnofertility-based nursing care included affirmations, visualization, imagination, and relaxation from the first day of treatment until the day of the pregnancy test. The Fertility Preparedness Scale, a saliva sample for cortisol level, and the pregnancy test results were used for data collection. Hypnofertility-based nursing care decreased the cortisol levels of women in the intervention group compared to that in the control group (p = 0.00). Though fertility preparedness was higher in the intervention group, the difference was not statistically significant (p = 0.13). Although interventions relieved the women during the treatment process, there was no anticipated effect on pregnancy outcomes (p = 0.75). Hypnofertility-based nursing care significantly reduce the cortisol levels, suggesting that the intervention helped women relax. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Climate change is one of the most common global environmental problems facing humanity today. The effects of climate changes in the natural balance of the world on human health have also begun to become visible. As one of the indicators of human health, fertility health is also directly or indirectly affected by climate change. In this review, it is aimed to draw attention to this area and to raise awareness by determining the effects of climate change and its consequences on female and male fertility. In this study, which was made as a compilation, Google Scholar, PubMed, Science Open and Elsevier databases were searched to identify studies on the subject. The survey was conducted in Turkish and English using a total of five keywords as 'climate change, fertility health, global warming, woman and man'. As a result of the literature review, 25 studies, which can be accessed as full text regardless of the date of publication, were discussed. In the studies reviewed, meteorological changes in women were found to be effective on the menstrual cycle, and it was determined that temperature increases changed follicle size, ovulation frequency and the duration of the menstrual cycle. It has been observed that the temperature disrupts spermatogenesis, reduces sperm quality and sperm motility. If fertilization is achieved through heat-affected sperm, it has been determined that the developmental competence of the formed embryo is impaired. Hormonal disorders caused by air pollution, induction of oxidative stress, cell DNA and epigenetic changes are thought to be effective on fertility. It has been observed that women exposed to air pollution have a reduced chance of pregnancy and an increase in pregnancy loss. It has also been found that the deterioration in air and water quality as a result of climate change affects fertility health indirectly by disrupting food and shelter insecurity, general environmental and sociodemographic factors. According to the results of the study, climate change and its consequences negatively affect the reproductive health of men and women directly or indirectly. For this reason, it is important for health professionals to be aware of climate change and the reproductive health problems it creates, to know these problems, and to organize training programs for the implementation of approaches that will help individuals cope with the effects of climate change. The aim of this study; was to determine the experiences, feelings and thoughts of men with infertility problems by analysing their anonymous or anonymous comments on infertility support blog pages. It is a descriptive qualitative4 design research that was conducted by evaluating blogs related to fertility in May-July 2023. The total 46 worldwide related blog pages were reached. Because mostly of blogs were used only by women, finally seven blog used also by mens with infertility problems were reviewed. For this purpose, the expressions of 29 men identified between 2018 and 2023 were evaluated with directed qualitative content analysis. The comments taken from the blogs were viewed independently by the three authors. Comments from blogs were carefully evaluated several times to get a general idea of the information and to ensure the accuracy of the data analysis. During the thematic analysis, three researchers independently read comments and identified the codes. After this evaluation, codes and sub-themes were combined to form themes. The regions where the comments were made and the participants were located are listed as London, Boston, Germany and some of that were anonymous. In the blog comments analyzed, it was seen that the majority of the participants expressed their feelings anonymously. The generally mentioned sub-themes of the detected comment titles; "stress burden, self-blame, difficulty in empathizing with the spouse, weakness in communication, trying to stay strong all the time, starting to feel the burden of existence and treatment, lack of information, etc. As a result of the evaluations, it was determined that men who have infertility problems mostly prefer to express their comment about their feelings anonymously, besides they write their past treatment experiences transparently and by sharing their names. This study demonstrates the value of using qualitative methods to evaluate the posts of men with infertility problems on their web blogs. According to the results; men have difficulty expressing themselves with their own identities. Sharing their feelings related to infertility process and receiving support from people with the same problem helps them to cope with this process better. The study was planned as a descriptive, cross-sectional study, comparative study to determine the stigma, infertility self-efficacy and fertility preparedness of infertile couples in two different provinces in Turkey. In the provinces of Mardin and Bursa, between September 2020 and October 2021, a total of 220 infertile couples, 110 from each province participated. In the study, data were collected with Personal Information Form, Infertility Stigma Scale, Infertility Self-Efficacy Scale, and Fertility Preparedness Scale measurement tools. In Bursa and Mardin, the mean stigma of infertility couples, the mean of infertility self-efficacy and fertility preparedness were statistically significant (p < 0.001).In province of Bursa the negative significant correlation was determined between stigma total score and infertility self-efficacy total score (r = -.454, p < 0.001), stigma total score and fertility preparedness total score (r = -.292, p<0.001). In Mardin, there was a negative correlation between stigma total score and infertility self-efficacy total score (r = -.491, p < 0.001) , stigma total score and fertility preparedness total score (r = -.669, p<0.001) besides there was positive and significant correlations between total fertility preparedness score and infertility self-efficacy score (r =.634, p<0.001). While among the variables in Mardin, only Fertility Preparedness (β = -0.111, p<0.001), in Bursa infertility self-efficacy (β = -0.444, p<0.001) and fertility preparedness (β = -0.230, p<0.001) were statistically significant predictor for stigma. The results in the Mardin, that is representative city for east part of country the stigma was higher and self-efficacy and preparedness was lower. Besides as the level of stigma increased in both provinces, it was determined that the level of self-efficacy and fertility preparedness decreased, and it was concluded that support interventions from health professionals should be planned in this direction. It is a common problem in practice to stop and not continue the infertility treatment which has a long physical, emotional and financial burden. Although there are many reasons for this, it is stated that couples go from one treatment process to another without feeling ready about this. The aim of this study is to determine the fertility preparedness status of women undergoing fertility treatment and to determine the factors that affect it positively or negatively. It was descriptive and cross-sectional study conducted with 375 women in a virtual environment, regardless of the province, by using the Google survey method. The data were collected by using the 'Descriptive Information Form', 'Fertility Hitory Form', and 'Fertility Predperadness Scale for Women Receiving Fertility Support' measurement tools. Analysis of Variance, Mann-Whitney U test, Kruskal Wallis H Test were used in analysis process. The median of Fertility Predperadnes Scale (FPS) was 56 points (min23-max115), which was accepted as the cut-off value. A scale score below 56 indicates that the participant is not sufficiently ready for fertility treatment. In the present study, the mean score was X̄=83.01 (min 39-max115). Moostly of the participants (94.67%) were above the cut-off value. This showed us that 94.67% of women had a high level of preparedness. Factors such as; advancing age, prolongation of infertility, increase in the number of treatments, female infertility factor were neggative factors related to fertility prepardness. Besides increased education level, increased income, secondary infertility, feel less pressure from their families and being able to share with the social circle about the treatment were positive factors that increased the woman's prepareadness for treatment. Fertility prepareadiness; It has a very important place in starting and continuing fertility treatment. There are many factors that affect fertility prepreadiness. Being able to detect and intervene these factors will contribute to the fertility treatment success rate.If a woman/copule starts well prepared in this expensive and stressful treatment process financial loss may be prevented, the treatment success may be improved and discontinuation of treatment may decrease.
