Purpose: Based on social influence theory, this paper aims to explore the influence of academic entrepreneurs on team innovation activities. The innovation behavior of academic team members is the key behavior in academic entrepreneurial activities. As a special entrepreneurial group, academic entrepreneurs' political skills play an important role in stimulating team innovative behaviors. Design/methodology/approach: This paper adopts a multi-level study design and takes as samples the paired data of 91 academic entrepreneurial teams (n = 475). Based on team cognition, it constructs a model of the influence mechanism of academic entrepreneurs' political skills on team innovation behavior and explores the mechanism of transactive memory system in this influence effect. The authors use HLM and PROCESS macro to test our multilevel model. Findings: The results show that academic entrepreneurs' political skills positively impact team innovation behavior, and a transactive memory system plays a mediating role between them. Team psychological safety significantly enhances the positive relationship of both academic entrepreneurs' political skills and a transactive memory system with team innovation behavior. Moreover, with enhanced perceptions of team psychological safety, academic entrepreneurs' political skills are more likely to improve team innovation behavior through the transactive memory system. Originality/value: The study explores the influence of transactive memory system on the relationship between academic entrepreneurs' political skills and team innovation behavior, with the team cognitive perspective derived from social influence theory. Gegenqinlian decoction (GQD) is a classic prescription of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), which originated from Shanghanlun. The combination of GQD and hypoglycemic drugs (saxagliptin, Sax, metformin) is often used to treat Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in TCM clinics. However, the herb–drug interactions (HDIs) between GQD and hypoglycemic drugs are still unclear. In order to determine the safety of the combination, we assessed the influences of GQD on the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of Sax in T2DM rats. The plasma concentration of Sax (5 mg/kg) pretreated with GQD (freeze‐dried powder, 1.35 g/kg) or not was determined by high‐performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), and pharmacokinetics parameters were calculated. The influence of GQD on the pharmacodynamics of Sax was investigated by detecting the levels of weight, (see abbreviations list) OGTT, TC, TG, LDL‐C, HDL‐C, FBG, FINS, HOMA‐IR, QUICKI, AST, ALT, and the liver coefficient. The Cmax, AUC0‐t,and AUC0‐∞ of Sax increased significantly in the combination group whether in normal or T2DM rats. The results of pharmacodynamics showed that the weight of rats in each treatment group increased. FBG, TC, TG, LDL‐C, and HOMA‐IR decreased, HDL‐C, FINS, and QUICKI increased significantly (p < 0.05) compared with the model control group. The result showed that the combination of GQD and Sax could not only improve the hypoglycemic effect but also increase the plasma exposure of Sax. The potential HDIs between GQD and Sax should be taken into consideration in clinics. Moreover, for the complexity of the human compared with experimental animals, as well as genetic differences, the in‐depth study should be carried out to assess the uniformity of the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics between rats and humans. Breast cancer (BC) is the most common cancer among women worldwide and the main cause of cancer deaths in women. Metabolic components are key risk factors for the development of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), which may promote BC. Studies have reported that increasing PGC1α levels increases mitochondrial biogenesis, thereby increasing cell proliferation and metastasis. Moreover, the PGC1α/ERRα axis is a crucial regulator of cellular metabolism in various tissues, including BC. However, it remains unclear whether NAFLD is closely associated with the risk of BC. Therefore, the present study aimed to determine whether hepatic PGC1α promotes BC cell invasion via ERRα. Various assays, including ELISA, western blotting, and immunoprecipitation, have been employed to explore these mechanisms. According to the KM plot and TCGA data, elevated PGC1α expression was highly associated with a shorter overall survival time in patients with BC. High concentrations of palmitic acid (PA) promoted PGC1α expression, lipogenesis, and inflammatory processes in hepatocytes. Conditioned medium obtained from PA-treated hepatocytes significantly increased BC cell proliferation. Similarly, recombinant PGC1α in E0771 and MCF7 cells promoted cell proliferation, migration, and invasion in vitro. However, silencing PGC1α in both BC cell lines resulted in a decrease in this trend. As determined by immunoprecipitation assay, PCG1a interacted with ERRα, thereby facilitating the proliferation of BC cells. Background and Aim: We investigated the most beneficial propofol sedation model for same‐day painless bidirectional endoscopy (BDE). Methods: Asymptomatic participants scheduled for same‐day painless BDE examination from October 2020 to September 2021 were randomized to three groups: sedated esophagogastroduodenoscopy followed by unsedated colonoscopy (Group A); sedated esophagogastroduodenoscopy followed by sedated colonoscopy (Group B); and sedated esophagogastroduodenoscopy followed by sedated insertion colonoscopy (Group C). Patient discomfort, colonoscopy performance, doses of propofol, cardiovascular stress, anesthesia resuscitation, and sedation‐related adverse events were evaluated. Results: A total of 3200 participants were analyzed. Baseline demographics, patient discomfort, cecal intubation rate, adenoma detection rate and sedation‐related adverse events were similar in the three groups. Propofol dose was the lowest in Group A (137.65 ± 36.865 mg) compared with Group B (177.71 ± 40.112 mg, P < 0.05) and Group C (161.63 ± 31.789 mg, P < 0.05). Decline in vital signs was most obvious in Group B during the procedure (P < 0.05). Recovery time was the shortest in Group A (5.01 ± 1.404 min) compared with Group B (9.51 ± 2.870 min, P < 0.05) and Group C (5.83 ± 2.594 min, P < 0.05); discharge time was the shortest in Group A (3.53 ± 1.685 min) compared with Group B (11.29 ± 5.172 min, P < 0.05) and Group C (6.47 ± 2.338 min, P < 0.05). Adenomas per positive patient of Group A (2.29 ± 1.055) and Group C (2.28 ± 0.931) were more than that in Group B (2.11 ± 0.946, P < 0.05). Conclusions: Sedated esophagogastroduodenoscopy followed by unsedated colonoscopy is the superior model for same‐day painless BDE with the benefits of satisfactory patient comfort, reduced sedation dose, less cardiovascular stress, faster recovery, shorter discharge time and high colonoscopy quality. Widespread soil acidification due to atmospheric acid deposition and agricultural fertilization may greatly accelerate soil carbonate dissolution and CO2 release. However, to date, few studies have addressed these processes. Here, we use meta-analysis and nationwide-survey datasets to investigate changes in soil inorganic carbon (SIC) stocks in China. We observe an overall decrease in SIC stocks in topsoil (0–30 cm) (11.33 g C m–2 yr–1) from the 1980s to the 2010s. Total SIC stocks have decreased by ∼8.99 ± 2.24% (1.37 ± 0.37 Pg C). The average SIC losses across China (0.046 Pg C yr–1) and in cropland (0.016 Pg C yr–1) account for ∼17.6%–24.0% of the terrestrial C sink and 57.1% of the soil organic carbon sink in cropland, respectively. Nitrogen deposition and climate change have profound influences on SIC cycling. We estimate that ∼19.12%–19.47% of SIC stocks will be further lost by 2100. The consumption of SIC may offset a large portion of global efforts aimed at ecosystem carbon sequestration, which emphasizes the importance of achieving a better understanding of the indirect coupling mechanisms of nitrogen and carbon cycling and of effective countermeasures to minimize SIC loss. Online social question-and-answer (Q&A) communities provide a platform for people to acquire high-quality knowledge and have become an important mode through which users can cocreate value. We applied self-determination theory and the stimulus–organism–response framework to develop a model of how platform characteristics influence users' self-determination in virtual communities, thereby influencing their value cocreation behavior. Data obtained from a survey of 385 users in an online social Q&A community show that personalized recommendations, social interaction, and information richness each had a positive impact on user self-competence, self-autonomy, and self-relatedness, which subsequently affected their knowledge-sharing and knowledge-integration behaviors. Moreover, self-determination had a mediating effect in the relationship between platform characteristics and users' knowledge-sharing and knowledge-integration behaviors. Stakeholders have heterogeneous expectations and demands for corporate environmental responsibility (CER). Going green may cause potential conflicting-interests among stakeholders, because stakeholders who benefit from environmental-management endorse making and implementing environmental-friendly policies. In contrast, stakeholders who bear the costs of a firm's corporate greening may not support CER initiatives. Firms with differentiated strategic-orientation, which reflect preferences of select stakeholders (controlling families, consumers, and employees), exhibit different perception of and response to CER. Using a panel dataset of South Korean manufacturing firms from 2011 to 2015, this study investigates benefits and costs of CER by exploring relationships among family owned and managed, consumer-oriented, employee-oriented firms, and corporate environmental performance (CEP). Our empirical results show that family owned and managed and employee-oriented firms are less likely to engage in environmentally friendly management. This activity occurs because corporate greening may damage these firms' interests, such as controlling family shareholders' private wealth and their employee's work-life balance. The effects of phlorotannin extracts (PTE) (from sporophyll of Undaria pinnatifida) added at different concentration (0, 1.6, 8, and 40 mg/g protein) with and without ultraviolet A (UVA) irradiation treatment on gel properties of mackerel (Scomberomorus niphonius) mince (MM) were investigated. The results indicated that both the breaking force and water‐holding capacity (WHC) of the MM gel increased with addition of PTE, and the highest breaking force and WHC were observed with 40 mg/g PTE under UVA irradiation. Low‐field nuclear magnetic resonance revealed that free water significantly decreased in this PTE‐MM gel as well. UVA irradiation treatment led to reduction of total sulfhydryls and free amines in the PTE‐MM gel, indicating more cross‐linking between proteins. Electrophoresis results indicated that myosin heavy chains were aggregated in the UVA‐treated PTE‐MM gel. The microstructure of the UVA‐treated PTE‐MM gel showed that protein formed more evenly distributed cross‐linked structures and was more compact than the untreated control gel. We report a novel biomimetic drug discovery platform using high expression epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) HEK 293 cell membrane camouflaged magnetic nanoparticles. The EGFR/magnetic cell membrane nanoparticles (MCMNs) integrated desirable magnetic features and special binding bioaffinity. Abstract The excessive application of fertilizer has become a serious problem for vegetable farming in China and aggravates agricultural non-point pollution. As a soil amendment, biochar has obtained worldwide attention. Irrigation and fertilization management also play an important role in controlling agricultural non-point pollution. To investigate the effects of biochar addition, irrigation and fertilization management on phosphorus (P) leaching as well as water utilization efficiency (WUE) in vegetable fields in northeast China, a field experiment with three treatments, i.e., regular fertilization and irrigation (CK), regular fertilization and irrigation with biochar addition (100WF+B) and 20% reduction of chemical fertilizers and irrigation compared to 100WF+B (80WF+B), was conducted. The P leaching amounts in 100WF+B and 80WF+B were only 15.91% and 11.36%, respectively, of that in CK. The P uptake amounts in the three treatments in descending order were 100WF+B, 80WF+B, and CK. The WUE in 100WF+B and 80WF+B were 15.3 and 25.2 kg/(ha mm) higher, respectively, than that in CK. There were no significant differences between the yield of CK and 80WF+B. The yield of 100WF+B was 3.4 t/ha higher than the yield of CK. Biochar significantly increased WUE, yield, TP (total phosphorus) and AP (available phosphorus) contents in the surface layer as well as P uptake and decreased P leaching when comparing 100WF+B to CK. Fertilization and irrigation reduction decreased P leaching and significantly increased WUE, but the yield was affected when comparing 80WF+B to 100WF+B. Biochar combined with fertilization and irrigation reduction significantly increased WUE and decreased P leaching without affecting yield when comparing 80WF+B to CK. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
