L’objectif de cette étude est de présenter le corpus FRAPéOR (FRançais d’Allophones Parlé à ORléans) et de discuter de son lien avec son prédécesseur les ESLO (Enquêtes Sociolinguistiques à Orléans), dont il constitue une extension à la fois sur le plan des procédures de constitution et de la chaîne de traitement des données. FRAPéOR s’inscrit dans une double ambition: (1) compléter, dans le cadre d’une sociolinguistique urbaine, le Portrait sonore de la ville d’Orléans par ses habitants, entrepris dans ESLO 1 et ESLO2 et où le recueil globalement n’a concerné jusqu’ici que des variétés de français parlées par des francophones natifs de la ville d’Orléans; (2) servir d’observatoire pour le français langue étrangère que parlent les populations d’allophones qui vivent dans l’agglomération orléanaise. Ainsi, notre propos, ici, est de procéder à la présentation générale de ce nouveau corpus, de sa genèse, de ses spécificités, de ses objectifs et de son intérêt pour l’enseignement du FLE de manière générale et plus particulièrement pour le travail sur la prononciation en suivant une démarche verbotonale. Le projet FRAPéOR a abouti à une plateforme qui se prédestine aux formateurs et aux apprenants de FLE et qui utilise des procédés IA à la fois dans les phases de transcription et dans les phases de transferts et de remédiation.

We model the ferroelectric and paraelectric phases in the YMnO3 and YMn2O5, compounds with discussion of the hyperfine parameters at the atomic nuclei: electric field gradient and magnetic hyperfine field, using first-principles density functional theory FP-L/APW+lo method (WIEN2K code). The differences of the changes in hyperfine properties and their correlation due to the onset of polarization in both cases reveal their sensitivity to the different electronic densities changes due to ferroelectricity. In the case of YMnO3 the greater changes appear in the Y and O atoms, while in YMn2O5, where the polarization is induced by a magnetic transition, the parameters at Mn and its bonded O atoms are changed the most. The sensitivity of the parameters to different degrees of approximation in calculations is also discussed.

Abstract Background Triatoma infestans is the most relevant vector of Chagas disease in the southern cone of South America. Since its genome has not yet been studied, sequencing of Expressed Sequence Tags (ESTs) is one of the most powerful tools for efficiently identifying large numbers of expressed genes in this insect vector. Results In this work, we generated 826 ESTs, resulting in an increase of 47% in the number of ESTs available for T. infestans. These ESTs were assembled in 471 unique sequences, 151 of which represent 136 new genes for the Reduviidae family. Conclusions Among the putative new genes for the Reduviidae family, we identified and described an interesting subset of genes involved in development and reproduction, which constitute potential targets for insecticide development.

Abstract Background Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) is an advanced technique of therapeutic endoscopy alternative to endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) for superficial gastrointestinal neoplasms >2 cm. ESD allows for the direct dissection of the submucosa and large lesions can be resected en bloc. ESD is not limited by resection size, increases histologically complete resection rates and may reduce the local recurrence. Nevertheless, the technique is time-consuming, technically demanding and associated with a high complication rate. To reduce the risk of complications, different devices and technical advances have been proposed with conflicting results and, still, ESD en bloc resections of huge lesions are associated with increased complications. Case Presentation We successfully used a combined ESD/EMR technique for huge rectal laterally spreading tumors (LSTs). ESD was used for circumferential resection of 2/3 of the lesion followed by piecemeal resection (2-3 pieces) of the central part of the tumour. In all three patients we obtained the complete dissection of the polyp and the complete histological evaluation in absence of complications and recurrence at 6 months' follow up. Conclusions In the treatment of rectal LSTs, the combined treatment - ESD/EMR resection may be considered a suitable therapeutic option, indicated in selected cases as an alternative to surgery, in which the two techniques are neither reliable nor safe separately. However, to confirm our results, larger trials with longer follow up are required together with improvement of the technique and of the technical devices.

Background: Few studies have evaluated the effects of structured early mobilization (EM) protocols on the level of mobilization in critical care patients. Objective: To evaluate the impact of a structured EM protocol on the level of mobilization, muscle strength, and the level of activities of daily living (LADL) after intensive care unit (ICU) and hospital discharge. Methods: This randomized clinical trial (U1111-1245-4840) included adults patients who were randomized into two groups: intervention (n = 40) and control (n = 45). The intervention group underwent conventional physiotherapy and structured EM protocols, and the control group underwent conventional physiotherapy. The level of mobilization from 0 (no mobilization) to 5 (walking), muscle strength (Medical Research Council scale), LADL (Katz Index), and incidence of complications were evaluated. Results: The level of mobilization from day 1 to day 7 increased in the intervention group compared with the control group (p <.05). Muscle strength did not change during the protocol in the intervention and control groups {day 1 [effect size (r) = 0.15, p =.161], at ICU discharge [r = 0.16, p =.145], and after ICU discharge [r = 0.16, p =.191]}. The LADL did not differ between the intervention and control groups after ICU discharge [4 (1–6) vs. 3 (1–5), p =.702] or 30 days after hospital discharge [6 (5–6) vs. 6 (5–6), p =.945]. The structured EM protocol was safe, and no severe complications were observed during the protocol. Conclusion: A structured EM protocol increased the level of mobilization without improving muscle strength and the LADL compared with conventional physiotherapy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Solid organ transplant (SOT) candidates and recipients are a fragile population, in which the presence of a pre-transplant disease leading to organ insufficiency and the post-transplant immunosuppressive treatment expose them to an increased risk of infectious diseases. The best intervention to guarantee efficient prevention of infections, with optimal cost–benefit ratio, is represented by vaccination programs; however, the response to vaccines needs that the immune system maintains a good function. This is even more relevant at paediatric age, when specific immunological conditions make transplant candidates and recipients particularly vulnerable. Paediatric patients may be naïve to most infections and may have incomplete immunization status at the time of transplant listing due to their age. Moreover, the unaccomplished development of a mature immune system and the immunosuppressive regimen adopted after transplant might affect the efficacy of post-transplant vaccinations. Therefore, every effort should be made to obtain the widest vaccination coverage before the transplantation, whenever possible. This review reports the most relevant literature, providing information on the current approach to the vaccinations in paediatric SOT candidates and recipients. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Soft robotic devices are designed for applications such as exploration, manipulation, search and rescue, medical surgery, rehabilitation, and assistance. Due to their complex kinematics, various and often hard-to-define degrees of freedom, and nonlinear properties of their material, designing and operating these devices can be quite challenging. Using tools such as optimization methods can improve the efficiency of these devices and help roboticists manufacture the robots they need. In this work, we present an extensive and systematic literature search on the optimization methods used for the mechanical design of soft robots, particularly focusing on literature exploiting evolutionary computation (EC). We completed the search in the IEEE, ACM, Springer, SAGE, Elsevier, MDPI, Scholar, and Scopus databases between 2009 and 2024 using the keywords "soft robot," "design," and "optimization." We categorized our findings in terms of the type of soft robot (i.e., bio-inspired, cable-driven, continuum, fluid-driven, gripper, manipulator, modular), its application (exploration, manipulation, surgery), the optimization metrics (topology, force, locomotion, kinematics, sensors, and energy), and the optimization method (categorized as EC or non-EC methods). After providing a road map of our findings in the state of the art, we offer our observations concerning the implementation of the optimization methods and their advantages.
