AI‐powered solutions are enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of healthcare delivery by demonstrating exceptional skills in personalized medicine, early disease detection, and predictive analytics. Furthermore, telemedicine and remote patient monitoring systems have overcome geographical constraints, offering easy and accessible healthcare services, particularly in underserved areas. Wearable technology, the Internet of Medical Things, and sensor technologies have empowered individuals to take an active role in tracking and managing their health. These devices facilitate real‐time data collection, enabling preventive and personalized care. Additionally, the development of 3D printing technology has revolutionized the medical field by enabling the production of customized prosthetics, implants, and anatomical models, significantly impacting surgical planning and treatment strategies. Accepting these advancements holds the potential to create a more patient‐centered, efficient healthcare system that emphasizes individualized care, preventive care, and better overall health outcomes. This review's novelty lies in exploring how these technologies are radically transforming the healthcare industry, paving the way for a more personalized and effective healthcare for all. It highlights the capacity of modern technology to revolutionize healthcare delivery by addressing long‐standing challenges and improving health outcomes. Although the approval and use of digital technology and advanced data analysis face scientific and regulatory obstacles, they have the potential for transforming translational research. as these technologies continue to evolve, they are poised to significantly alter the healthcare environment, offering a more sustainable, efficient, and accessible healthcare ecosystem for future generations. Summary: Streptococcus pyogenes is a Gram-positive bacterium, also known as Group A Streptococcus (GAS), that has become a significant threat to the healthcare system, infecting more than 18 million people and resulting in more than 500,000 deaths annually worldwide. GAS infection rates decreased gradually during the 20th century in Western countries, largely due to improved living conditions and access to antibiotics. However, post-COVID-19, the situation has led to a steep increase in GAS infection rates in Europe, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand, which triggers a global concern. GAS infections are normally moderate, with symptoms of fever, pharyngitis, and pyoderma; nevertheless, if left untreated or with continued exposure to GAS or with recurring infections it can result in fatal outcomes. GAS produces a variety of virulence factors and exotoxins that can lead to deadly infections such as necrotizing fasciitis, impetigo, cellulitis, pneumonia, empyema, streptococcal toxic shock syndrome, bacteremia, and puerperal sepsis. In addition, post-immune mediated disorders such as post-streptococcal glomerulonephritis, acute rheumatic fever, and rheumatic heart disease contribute to extremely high death rates in developing nations. Despite substantial research on GAS infections, it is still unclear what molecular pathways are responsible for their emergence and how to best manage them. This review thus provides insights into the most recent research on the pathogenesis, virulence, resistance, and host interaction mechanisms of GAS, as well as novel management options to assist scientific communities in combating GAS infections.

Summary: Carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (CRAB) is a top-priority pathogen causing a nosocomial infection that increases morbidity and mortality. Treatment options for CRAB are relatively limited by pharmacokinetic restrictions, such as substantial toxicity. Therefore, we must better understand this pathogen to develop new treatments and control strategies. The review aims to provide an overview of the current understanding of acquired, adaptive, and intrinsic Carbapenem-resistant pathways in A. baumannii, as well as its consequences on healthcare systems, particularly critical care units. The review also provides insights into how CRAB infections are currently managed worldwide and why novel therapeutic regimens are needed. The peculiarity of A. baumannii and its often reported virulence factors have been discussed further. In conclusion, the purpose of this review is to emphasize the current knowledge on CRAB, as it causes major worry in the field of nosocomial infections as well as overall public health.

The primary consequence of this infection is that it targets the individual's respiratory system and causes severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS-CoV-2). Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) remain a major global health burden, and emerging evidence suggests that the gut microbiome plays a pivotal role in their pathogenesis and progression. This review paper aims to comprehensively analyze the intricate interplay between the gut microbiome and cardiovascular health. An extensive examination of existing literature explores how gut microbial composition and function influence CVD risk factors, such as inflammation, lipid metabolism, and blood pressure regulation. Additionally, we delve into the impact of dietary patterns, medications, and lifestyle factors on shaping the gut microbiota and how these changes can exacerbate or ameliorate cardiovascular outcomes. We also discuss COVID-19, gut microbiome and CVDs. Furthermore, we discuss the potential of gut microbiome-targeted interventions as promising avenues for preventing and managing CVDs. By consolidating the current knowledge, this review aims to shed light on the intricate link between the gut microbiome and cardiovascular diseases and highlights the potential for novel therapeutic strategies to combat this significant public health challenge.

Abstract Marine sponges are sources of various bioactive metabolites, including several anticancer drugs, produced mainly by sponge-associated microbes. Palk Bay, on the south-east coast of India, is an understudied, highly disturbed reef environment exposed to various anthropogenic and climatic stresses. In recent years, Palk Bay suffered from pollution due to the dumping of untreated domestic sewage, effluents from coastal aquaculture, tourism, salt pans, cultivation of exotic seaweeds, and geogenic heavy-metal pollution, especially arsenic, mercury, cadmium, and lead. Low microbial-abundant sponge species, such as Gelliodes pumila and Cliona lobata, were found to be ubiquitously present in this reef environment. Triplicate samples of each of these sponge species were subjected to Illumina MiSeq sequencing using V3–V4 region-specific primers. In both C. lobata and G. pumila, there was an overwhelming dominance (98 and 99%) of phylum Candidatus Saccharibacteria and Proteobacteria , respectively. The overall number of operational taxonomic units (OTUs) was 68 (40 and 13 OTUs unique to G. pumila and C. lobata, respectively; 15 shared OTUs). Alphaproteobacteria was the most abundant class in both the sponge species. Unclassified species of phylum Candidatus Saccharibacteria from C. lobata and Chelotivorans composti from G. pumila were the most abundant bacterial species. The predominance of Alphaproteobacteria also revealed the occurrence of various xenobiotic-degrading, surfactant-producing bacterial genera in both the sponge species, indirectly indicating the possible polluted reef status of Palk Bay. Studies on sponge microbiomes at various understudied geographical locations might be helpful in predicting the status of reef environments.
