As provas desenvolvidas por Jean Piaget fazem-se presente a todo o momento na Educação Infantil, colaborando significativamente na aprendizagem de conceitos matemáticos e de outras áreas do conhecimento, favorecendo o desenvolvimento da capacidade de raciocinar, de comparar, de classificar, de argumentar do aluno. Estudos comprovam, que quando as tarefas piagetianas, como: seriação, classificação, inclusão de classe e outras, são trabalhadas com os alunos desde a Educação Infantil, estes adquirem um progresso na compreensão de conteúdos e atingem um estágio de desenvolvimento intelectual mais avançado ao longo do Ensino Fundamental. A presente pesquisa tem como objetivo investigar a importância das tarefas piagetianas desenvolvidas na Educação Infantil e averiguar as contribuições para o desenvolvimento do raciocínio lógico dos alunos do Infantil ao Ensino Fundamental. O trabalho consiste em uma pesquisa bibliográfica, de textos relacionados aos estudos de Piaget e seus seguidores, além do desenvolvimento das atividades piagetianas em turmas do maternal da Educação Infantil, no Centro Educacional Nossa Senhora Auxiliadora (CENSA), de Campos dos Goytacazes, utilizando materiais concretos e o próprio corpo da criança. Foi constatado que o uso das tarefas piagetianas desde a Educação infantil, como mecanismo para a aprendizagem e para o desenvolvimento do raciocínio lógico matemático, contribui também para o desenvolvimento de habilidades essenciais para outras áreas do conhecimento. Piaget enfatiza que o conhecimento, incluindo a capacidade de raciocinar logicamente, é construído através de um processo de interação/reflexão no qual o sujeito age sobre o objeto. Proporcionar atividades concretas e lúdicas às crianças é determinante para o desenvolvimento significativo de suas estruturas mentais necessárias a construção de conhecimentos matemáticos.

A Matemática é parte essencial do conhecimento de todo cidadão e está presente na arte, na música, em histórias, na forma como organizamos o pensamento, nas brincadeiras, nos jogos infantis... Na educação básica concebemos e trabalhamos a matemática de diversas formas, tendo como objetivo desenvolver na criança o raciocínio lógico, a sua capacidade para pensar logicamente e resolver situações-problema, de modo lúdico, dinâmico e significativo. Os ambientes de aprendizagem lúdicos podem proporcionar um modelo de aprendizagem interdisciplinar motivador, criando oportunidades para o desenvolvimento das aptidões de colaboração entre os alunos, assim como ajudá-los a aprender novos conceitos e a sintetizar e fixar a informação nova. O trabalho propõe estimular o raciocínio lógico; o cálculo mental; a resolução de problemas matemáticos e a interação entre alunos através de atividades lúdicas, refletindo a importância do jogo na prática pedagógica como facilitador do processo ensino-aprendizagem. A presente pesquisa foi desenvolvida no 2º ano do Ensino Fundamental do Centro Educacional Nossa Senhora Auxiliadora (CENSA), de Campos dos Goytacazes, com a introdução dos conceitos matemáticos referentes à adição e a subtração por meio de atividades lúdicas, com jogos lógicos, corporais e espaciais. O uso dessa dinâmica possibilitou a consolidação de conceitos matemáticos, a cooperação entre alunos, a aprendizagem prazerosa e significativa, o estímulo à curiosidade, o desenvolvimento da capacidade de resolver problemas, possibilitando a desmitificação de que a Matemática é difícil e entediante.

AbstractThis paper presents research concerning the numerical analysis of two new carbon composite materials subjected to high-velocity impact. These new composites were produced using new out-of-autoclave processes, making them more environmentally friendly. An experimental campaign was conducted on these materials in order to determine the effects of a metal sphere during impact. A numerical model using ABAQUS explicit is assembled using shell finite element models, and a non-linear dynamic analysis is applied. For the constitutive relation of the material, a fiber-reinforced composite damage model from the ABAQUS library is used. This initial numerical model is then compared with the outputs of the experimental campaign in order to validated it. Next, a numerical campaign is performed to understand carbon composites response to the impact of a hailstorm strike, in which it is possible to verify that one of the specimens presented higher performance, by displaying less penetration and damaged area. The Car and Beam prototype is a teaching piece of equipment, inspired by Ball and Beam systems. It consists of a beam supported in its center by means of a rotating axis installed in two rolling bearings, allowing the beam to rotate through the actuation of a servo motor. A car is coupled to this beam, and its displacement is measured using a linear encoder. This paper focuses on two key aspects: firstly, it offers a mathematical model of the Car and Beam system, and secondly, it outlines the development of a state-feedback tracking controller through pole placement to this system. To validate the modeling and control approach, we present simulation and experimental results using three different reference profiles: step, square wave, and sine wave. Our findings demonstrate the effectiveness of the control strategy in tracking predefined trajectories, both in simulation and with the physical prototype. In conclusion, this study highlights the efficacy of the methodology employed for mathematical modeling and the controller's design in the context of this specific application. European sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax [Linnaeus, 1758]) is a euryhaline marine migrant fish highly valuable for fisheries and aquaculture. Although juveniles are known to use estuaries and occasionally move to freshwater environments, these freshwater incursions had not been reported for adults. Recently, this behavior was observed in the Tagus River (Portugal) for adults occurring up to 150 km from the river mouth, about 80 km upstream from the tidal influence, suggesting the existence of a freshwater contingent. A methodology is proposed in this paper allowing the classification of anomalies and subsequently their possible localization in nuclear reactor cores during operation. The method relies on the monitoring of the neutron noise recorded by in-core neutron detectors located at very few discrete locations throughout the core. In order to unfold from the detectors readings the necessary information, a 3-dimensional Convolutional Neural Network is used, with the training and validation of the network based on simulated data. In the reported work, the approach was also tested on simulated data. The simulations were carried out in the frequency domain using the CORE SIM+ diffusion-based two-group core simulator. The different scenarios correspond to the following cases: a generic “absorber of variable strength”, axially travelling perturbations at the velocity of the coolant flow (due to e.g. fluctuations of the coolant temperature at the inlet of the core), fuel assembly vibrations, control rod vibrations, and core barrel vibrations. In all those cases, various frequencies were considered and, when relevant, different locations of the perturbations and different vibration modes were taken into account. The machine learning approach was able to correctly identify the different scenarios with a maximum error of 0.11%. Moreover, the error in localizing anomalies had a mean squared error of 0.3072 in mesh size, corresponding to less than 4 cm. The proposed methodology was also demonstrated to be insensitive to parasitic noise and will be tested on actual plant data in the near future.
