Indicators, different in terms of nature and grading scales, are used to recognise hazardous and harmful factors that affect human health. However, no single methodology is available for their assessment, and the variety of qualimetric assessment methods requires in-depth research, in part on optimality and efficiency. Therefore, this work aimed to conduct several scientific studies to obtain the results of the assessment in unified units of measurement, which would provide a generalised indicator of harmful factors at the workplace. The article proposes to use dependencies to assess indicators of harmful factors, considering the maximum, minimum, and optimal values as well as the shape parameter, the change of which produces various assessments in a dimensionless scale. A hierarchy analysis method was used to obtain reliable values with a small number of experts and determine the form parameter. These efforts resulted in the value of the overall index for harmful factors, which serves as grounds for decisions regarding further improvements in working conditions. The developed methodology was used to assess the safety of working conditions at a machine-building enterprise, and the results are presented in the article.

Purpose: One of the strategic challenges of many higher education institutions is digital transformation. The success of this process depends not only on the technologies and IT systems being introduced but also on the actions of leaders in the field of digitalisation. This article aims to examine the relationship between agile leadership practices found in HEIs and the level of the progress of digital transformation. Design/methodology/approach: The article presents the results of quantitative research conducted in 2023 among 515 teaching and administrative staff members in 20 Polish HEIs. Findings: The results of the study confirm the relationship between the level of progress of an HEI’s digital transformation and the selected leadership practices, in particular flexibility, encouraging staff to frequently test, experiment, and seek innovative solutions. At the same time, these practices were less frequent in the surveyed HEIs than the practices with less impact on the progress of digital transformation. Research limitations/implications: The results of the study may be applicable to the broader HEI population, but caution should be exercised in their generalisation due to certain limitations of the sample. In the course of further investigations, it would be worthwhile to supplement the research approach with mixed methods that provide opportunities for deeper analysis of the described phenomenon. Practical implications: The results of the study can provide valuable information for higher education institutions regarding the implementation of new digital leadership strategies. They can inform the design of academic leadership development programmes focused on developing an agile approach to management in educational institutions. Social implications: Implementing effective leadership strategies can lead to increasing innovation within HEIs, optimising educational processes, and improving the quality of education. Originality/value: Literature review shows research gap in digital academic leadership's role in HEI's digital maturity. The results of the study provide important insights and contribute to developing knowledge on the relationship between agile leadership practices and an HEI's digital transformation process. The environment in which organisations (including universities) operate is increasingly enforcing digital transformation, the success of which depends not only on the technology to be implemented but also - and in particular - on the human factor. Leaders play a major role in guiding the organisation through the change process. This article attempts to synthesise researchers' scientific pursuits to date when it comes to digital leadership at universities. The purpose of this work is to evaluate and synthesise the published literature referring to digital leadership at universities and to identify future directions for research on academic digital leadership. A systematic review of the literature was conducted in order to identify the state of the art and to integrate and synthesise the existing body of literature on this topic. The research was undertaken based on two main databases: Scopus and Web of Science. In line with the selection stages and criteria adopted, 20 articles were subjected to the final analysis. Keyword mapping was carried out as part of the review, which made it possible to create three clusters. The first cluster combines leadership with the area of digital competence building, the second cluster focuses around digital transformation at universities, and the third cluster is related to digital leadership, namely the characteristics of digital leaders. The results of the analysis combined with the rapidly increasing popularity of topics related to digital transformation in its broadest sense demonstrate that the contemplated research field is in the early growth phase and requires further exploration. Education 4.0 is considered a significant technology for teaching and learning. The present study aims to explore the impact and the importance of Education 4.0 for improving English language learning in the perception of students in India, especially Hyderabad City. Moreover, Education 4.0 has bloomed as an important need to move along with the fast-growing education system of the world. But, it is a fact that many Indian students have complications and difficulties in learning English due to many reasons. The traditional methods of teaching are one of those reasons. Students learn only through the conventional methods, and they may find it boring and not effective. The education and mode of teaching have changed a lot, and it has attained a newer form of using the technology. Moreover, in the current era, where work from home and online teaching has become a new normal throughout the world, the technology used for teaching is inseparable. Hence, the authors are motivated to study the impact of Education 4.0 on improving English learning from Hyderabad, India. The methodology of the study has applied quantitative research. The study has employed pre-tested, close-ended questionnaires and post-assessment to gather data from the respondents to understand students' performance in English language learning after implying Education 4.0. The five-point Likert scale has been used to analyse the collected data and to get mean values of responses. The total number of respondents is 145 students who pursue their engineering degrees in the select region. Among the collected data, most of them were from urban. The data obtained from the respondents proved that there is a direct correlation between the students' perception and implementation of Education 4.0 in learning the English language. Regional policy of the countries - reducing disparities between economic development of the regions - has been, is and will continue to be the focus of policy makers' attention, therefore it is important to assess regional conditions qualitatively and to spot the differences in the change of these condition. This would be the basis for developing targeted strategies for further regional development. The process of regional economic development may be assessed quantitatively and qualitatively. The integrated mean of the statistical indicators reflects the dynamics of development. The paper's objective is to develop an aggregate indicator of development dynamics and to quantify the dynamics of the economic development of the Polish and Lithuanian regions. The employed methodological approach is based on the authors' definition of the mean of regional economic development equilibrium. The analysis of the statistical characteristics of the indicators of three regions of Poland and Lithuania has shown that the dynamics of economic development in the regions of both countries is similar. On the other hand, Poland is characterized by a more intensive development, while the development of Lithuanian regions is more levelled. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
