Introduction: Ventilator is used as one of the most frequent life-supportive technology in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). There are only few studies from Asian Countries, especially Indonesia regarding the use of ventilator in PICU. The aim of this study was to describe the demographic, indications, length of use, complication, and outcome of patients with ventilator in PICU Dr.Soetomo Hospital, Surabaya.Methods: This is a descriptive study. Collecting data was done retrospectively using medical records of patients using ventilator in PICU Dr. Soetomo General Hospital from January-December 2017 . Statistical analysed was performed using Microsoft Excel 2016.Results: 59 patients met the inclusion criteria. Of the 59 patients, 34 (57.63%) were female and 27 (45.76%) were infant (1-12 months). Common indication of ventilator were status epilepticus and shock that happened in 17 (28.81%) patients. 44 (74.58%) patient was using ventilator >48 hours. There are only 4 (6.78%) of 59 patients that happened to had Ventilator Associated Pneumonia (VAP) as a complication of using ventilator. Mortality occurred in 40 (67.80%) patients and mostly happened in female (60%) and infant (50%). Mortality occurred in 10 (90%) of 11 patients with cardiac failure as the indication of ventilator and in 11 (73.33%) patients who used ventilator ≤48 hours.Conclusion: Status epilepticus and shock was the most common reason for ventilation. Incidence of VAP as the complication of ventilator is relatively low. Relatively high mortality found in age group infants, patients with cardiac failure as indication of ventilator and in patient with short duration use of ventilator.

Cluster has an important role in developing the existing resources in an area to be economic value. Companies gain competitive advantage through competing with each other. However, there is now an increased awareness that to ensure survival, it is necessary to balance industrial advocacy and personal interests. Thus, cluster operations are characterized by competition and cooperation, where the role of quadruple helix plays a role in it. SME clusters occur in every country, considering that SMEs are an important element in the economy of the country. Most SMEs in developing countries are located in industrial clusters. Despite the limitations in organizational resources and capacity, the grouping of companies in geographic proximity is capable of improving the performance of the companies within them. Therefore, cluster formation becomes the main attraction for deeper examination, how clusters are formed and how the process and role of elements in it. This study involves two different case studies of the chips and milk dairy clusters, both located in Cimahi, West Java. West Java is one of the provinces that have potential in the development of food and beverage clusters. This research uses qualitative data approach and supported by literature data support. From the analysis result, both clusters have different cluster forming approach, where the formation of clusters of chips, formed spreads and dairy cluster vertically.

Low access to credit in the agricultural sector is also caused by problems of agricultural sector actors (especially farmers) and financial institutions. Farmers are still having difficulty in accessing credit (accessibility and unbankable) and the limited financial institutions that channel credit to the agricultural sector. Therefore, the government must issue a policy in growing the agricultural sector, especially in anticipation of access credit constraints by farmers. The agricultural sector as a high-risk business, therefore formal institutions are less interested in financing the agricultural sector on the grounds of high transaction costs, asymmetric information, low profits, lack of collateral, education of farmers is relatively low. In addition, most banks do not want to finance agriculture due to fluctuating production and uncontrolled price risk. While the constraints of the farmers in obtaining formal credit is a complex procedure, there should be collateral as well as high payment delay fees, long distances and less information about capital.

This paper tries to conceive a conceptual framework for analysing cluster effect on firm's innovation capability and firm's business performance. This paper is written as part of the research on information and communication technology (ICT) innovation cluster in West Java, Indonesia. Analysis on the firm's innovation capability including its factors will be elaborated and followed by the discussion on firm's business performance. The relationship of firm's innovation capability and business performance will be discussed while considering the effect of clusters in terms of cluster's effect as a value chain cluster, as a coopetition cluster and as a resource-shared cluster. Cluster is hypothesized to have moderating effect on the relationship between firm's innovation capability and business performance.Conceptual framework from this paper will be used at preliminary stage of the research on ICT innovation cluster that can be expected to contribute into the development of ICT cluster in West Java in particular and Indonesia in general.
