Background and Objectives: Sensory neuronopathies (SNNs) are a rare group of pure sensory disorders causing asymmetrical, multifocal pattern of sensory loss with distinct clinical and electrophysiological features. We aimed to study the clinical features and etiology and share the experience of treating SNN from our center. Methods: A prospective observational study was conducted over 3 years. Patients with predominant sensory complaints and electrophysiological evidence of neuropathy were evaluated. Possible/probable SNN was diagnosed using Camdessanch´e criteria. Detailed workup was done to determine the etiology and treatment given accordingly. Follow-up was done and response to treatment was assessed using modified Rankin Scale grading at 12 months. Results: Fourteen patients with SNN were studied. Two (14.3%) patients were diagnosed with Sjogren's syndrome (SS-SNN), two (14.3%) with paraneoplastic syndrome, one (7.1%) with leprous ganglionitis, and nine (64.3%) were idiopathic sensory neuronopathy (I-SNN) cases. Improvement occurred in nine (64.3%), stability in three (21.4%), and worsening in two (14.3%) patients. Out of 11 SS-SNN and I-SNN patients, eight showed improvement on follow-up, seven with injection rituximab (RTX) and one with azathioprine. We found positive correlation between RTX treatment and improvement on follow-up (P = 0.0256). Six (66.66%) out of nine I-SNN patients had early initiation of immunotherapy, of which all improved. There was positive correlation between early treatment initiation time in I-SNN patients and improvement (P = 0.0119). Conclusions: Promising results were noted in SS-SNN and I-SNN patients with intensive treatment approach using RTX. Hit hard and early treatment approach is crucial for achieving improvement in sensory neuronopathies. Abstract In order to improve road safety and offer extra services to cars and their users, vehicular ad hoc networks, or VANETs, are essential parts of intelligent transportation systems (ITS). The primary aim of this research is to suggest and assess a new approach for mitigating network congestion in VANET technology through the implementation of dynamic grouping of vehicles for safety (DGVS). To do this, virtual regions are created around cars using the DBSCAN and K Mean method. This allows vehicles to communicate directly with others within the same DGVS, eliminating the need to broadcast messages across the entire network.The ultimate goal is to drastically decrease traffic while preserving vital data transfer for VANET traffic control and safety. The suggested technique determines the optimal transmission rate in accordance with the existing channel circumstances, yielding a balanced performance concerning both packet delivery and channel congestion. With this novel method, cars may only talk to other vehicles that are in the same DGVS, thus there’s no need to broadcast messages to the whole network. With the use of this technique, the efficacy of DGVS in reducing VANET congestion and enhancing network performance will be thoroughly assessed. The study’s conclusions demonstrate how well the suggested dynamic grouping of vehicles for safety (DGVS) technique works to reduce VANET congestion. It was shown through simulation-based studies that, in comparison to current approaches, DGVS dramatically decrease network congestion, resulting in notable gains in network performance and decreased communication delay. Additionally, the study found a number of possible uses for DGVS in the transportation industry, such as emergency response, traffic management, and accident prevention.

Abstract Currently, polycyclic aromatic compounds in organic solar cells (OSCs) have gained substantial consideration in research communities due to their promising characteristics. Herein, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) core-based chromophores (TTFD1-TTFD6) were designed by structural modifications of peripheral acceptor groups into TTFR. The density functional theory (DFT) and time dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT) calculations were carried out at B3LYP/6-311G (d, p) functional to explore insights for their structural, electronic, and photonic characteristics. The structural modulation unveiled notable electronic impact on the HOMO and LUMO levels across all derivatives, leading to decreased band gaps. All the designed compounds exhibited band gap ranging from 2.246 to 1.957 eV, along with wide absorption spectra of 897.071-492.274 nm. An elevated exciton dissociation rate was observed due to the lower binding energy values (E b = 0.381 to 0.365 eV) calculated in the derivatives compared to the reference (E b = 0.394 eV). Furthermore, data from the transition density matrix (TDM) and density of states (DOS) also corroborated the effective charge transfer process. Comparable results of V oc for reference and designed chromophores were obtained via HOMOdonor−LUMOPC71BM. The declining V oc order values was noted as TTFD5 > TTFD6 > TTFD4 > TTFD3 > TTFD2 > TTFD1 > TTFR. Interestingly, TTFD5 was found with the smallest energy gap and highest absorption value, resulting in better charge transference among all the derivatives. The results illustrated that the modification in indenofluorene based chromophores with end-capped small acceptors proved to be a significant approach in achieving favorable photovoltaic properties.

Abstract Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide, accounting for nearly 10 million deaths in 2020. Reviews indicated a positive relationship between exposure to pesticides and the development of cancers. In the present study, we have estimated the level of oxidative stress markers in serum samples of pesticide exposure and unexposed cancer patients as compared to normal control. We have found a significant decrease in peroxygenase (PON) and arylesterase (ARE) activity and substantial increases in homocysteine levels in both cancer groups. The level of heme biosynthesis rate-limiting enzymes delta-aminolevulinic acid dehydratase (δ-ALA-D) also significantly decreased compared to control. The statistical comparison between the cancer groups does not show significant changes. We concluded the involvement of oxidative stress in carcinogenesis in both cancer group patients. However, more study is needed to put homocysteine as a novel marker for a variety of diseases on a single platform.

The study also included cell-based neutralization assays and in vivo studies using mouse models to evaluate the efficacy of Indikizumab.Results: Indikizumab demonstrated a high binding affinity (KD=27.2 pM) and specificity for IL-17A, with comparable potency to Secukinumab. In cell-based neutralization assays, Indikizumab effectively neutralized the effects of IL-17A and demonstrated a statistically significant reduction in plasma KC (Keratinocyte) levels in a mouse model. In imiquimod-induced psoriasis mouse model, Indikizumab showed potential in reducing the psoriasis index.Conclusion: Indikizumab represents a promising therapeutic option for inflammatory indications with its high binding affinity, specificity for IL-17A, and effectiveness in neutralizing IL-17A effects in vivo.Keywords: monoclonal antibody, neutralization assay, psoriasis, inflammation. keratinocyte

Sand production along with the oil/gas detrimentally affects the oil production rate, downhole & subsurface facilities. Mechanical equipment and various chemicals like epoxy resin, furan resin, phenolic resin, etc. are used in the industry to reduce or eliminate this problem. In the present study, a blend of organic and inorganic silicates are used to consolidate loose sand in the presence and absence of crude oil using a core flooding apparatus. The effects of chemical concentration, pH, curing temperature and time, and the presence of residual oil on the consolidation treatment results such as compressive strength and permeability retention, were investigated and optimized. FT-IR and FE-SEM characterization techniques were employed to investigate the interaction between the chemical molecules and the sand grains. The current binding agent exhibited a viscosity of less than 6 cP at room temperature, which facilitates efficient pumping of binding agent into the desired formation through the well bore. The developed mixture demonstrated consolidation properties across all pH conditions. Furthermore, during the experimental investigation, the curing time and temperature was carefully optimized at 12 h and 423.15K, respectively to achieve the highest compressive strength of 2021 psi while achieving the permeability retention of 64%. The current chemical system exhibited improved consolidation capacity and can be effectively utilized for sand consolidation treatment in high-temperature formations.
