Aim: To compare the level of diagnostic coincidence between classical (standard) method and VELscope and ViziLite Plus systems in the diagnosis of different oral lesions.

Broad absorption signatures from alkali metals, such as the sodium (Na i) and potassium (K i) resonance doublets, have long been predicted in the optical atmospheric spectra of cloud-free irradiated gas giant exoplanets.sup.1-3. However, observations have revealed only the narrow cores of these features rather than the full pressure-broadened profiles.sup.4-6. Cloud and haze opacity at the day-night planetary terminator are considered to be responsible for obscuring the absorption-line wings, which hinders constraints on absolute atmospheric abundances.sup.7-9. Here we report an optical transmission spectrum for the 'hot Saturn' exoplanet WASP-96b obtained with the Very Large Telescope, which exhibits the complete pressure-broadened profile of the sodium absorption feature. The spectrum is in excellent agreement with cloud-free, solar-abundance models assuming chemical equilibrium. We are able to measure a precise, absolute sodium abundance of log[epsilon].sub.Na = [Formula omitted], and use it as a proxy for the planet's atmospheric metallicity relative to the solar value (Z.sub.p/Z.sub.Ê = [Formula omitted]). The contamination of feeds and foods with mycotoxins is a global ecological and public health issue. The effects of fungi growing on feeds and of mycotoxins produced by them are outlined with the fact that even minimum concentrations, especially in cases of potentiated synergism and continuous exposure, may cause substantial harm to health manifested with immunosuppression, reproductive disorders in farm animals and hence, reduced productive performance and great economic losses. By affecting numerous economic sectors and the food industry in particular, mycotoxins pose a huge threat to animal and human health. The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) reports that 25% of global food crops used as primary feed ingredients in animal and human nutrition are affected by mycotoxins and contaminated as early as during the stages of plant growth, harvesting, transportation or storage. The most important mycotoxins, subject to extensive research and of enormous economic relevance in modern livestock husbandry, pig farming in particular, are deoxynivalenol (DON), zearalenone (ZEA), T-2 toxin (T-2), fumonisin B1 (FB1), ochratoxin A (OTA) and aflatoxin B1 (AFB1). We present Hubble Space Telescope (HST) transit observations of the Hot-Jupiter WASP-79 b acquired with the Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph (STIS) in the near ultraviolet (NUV). Two transit observations, part of the PanCET program, are used to obtain the transmission spectra of the planet between 2280 and 3070 Å. We correct for systematic effects in the raw data using the jitter engineering parameters and polynomial modelling to fit the white light curves of the two transits. We observe an increase in the planet-to-star radius ratio at short wavelengths, but no spectrally resolved absorption lines. The difference between the radius ratios at 2400Å and 3000Å reaches 0.0191 ± 0.0042 (~4.5-s). Although the NUV transmission spectrum does not show evidence of hydrodynamical escape, the strong atmospheric features are likely due to species at very high altitudes. We performed a 1D simulation of the temperature and composition of WASP-79 b using Exo-REM. The temperature pressure profile crosses condensation curves of radiatively active clouds, particularly MnS, Mg2SiO4, Fe, and Al2O3. Still, none of these species produces the level of observed absorption at short wavelengths and can explain the observed increase in the planet's radius. WASP-79 b's transit depth reaches 23 scale height, making it one of the largest spectral features observed in an exoplanet at this temperature (~1700 K). The comparison of WASP-79 b's transmission spectrum with three warmer hot Jupiters shows a similar level of absorption toWASP-178 b andWASP-121 b between 0.2 and 0.3 µm, while HAT-P-41 b's spectrum is flat. The aim of the pr esent work is to model the damping ratio of a mechanical system by comparing experimental and numerical studies. The mechanical system consists of a cantilever steel beam and an attached mass - accelerometer. The system's free damped oscillations were measured. The dynamic model of the system is discretized using the finite element method, and the equations are solved in a Matlab® environment. The best match between the experimental and numerical results is obtained within the frequency interval (related to Rayleigh damping) between the first and the third natural frequencies, at a damping ratio of 0.0069. Our research was aimed at revealing the influence of sample, author stretching methods for development and maintenance of the physical quality flexibility among greco-roman wrestlers. Aim. We wanted to examine the influence of the implementation of sample flexibility exercises in the educational-training process of a particular sample of wrestlers on their general and special flexibility. Methods. In order to collect and process the data needed to conduct the research we used the following methods - pedagogical experiment; testing; math-statistical processing of the obtained data - variation analysis (for determining the normality of the distribution of the data), t-criterion of Student for independent samples. The results were processed with MS Excel 2016. Results. The results from the variation analysis of the control and experimental groups are presented in tables with the values of each index. Both groups were homogeneous and relatively homogeneous as regards the tests used, and according to the indexes for asymmetry and excess, we can summarize that the distribution of the data was symmetrical. The last table shows the comparison between the mean values at the beginning and at the end of the experiment for both the control and the experimental groups. Conclusion. In conclusion, we point out the necessity of purposeful inclusion of flexibility exercises in wrestlers' training process because they help maintaining and increasing the physical quality flexibility, which on the other hand, is a premise for the successful learning and applying certain technical elements and holds in sports wrestling. The Bulgarian Bent-toed Gecko (Mediodactylus danilewskii Strauch, 1887) is one of the two species of geckos inhabiting the territory of Bulgaria. In the recent years, new information on its distribution was published and big amount of data were collected. We organized an information platform for sharing data on the biology and live-range of M. danilewskii in inland North-East Bulgaria. This gecko is a highly synanthropic species which is often observed by citizens. Here we report on four new observation spots and also confirm the presence of the species from recently published localities. All data were recorded by volunteers, hence we discuss on the methods for documentation of the specimens and the critical role of the citizen science to assess the range of distribution of the species. The Pan-STARRS1 Planet Survey (Pan-Planets) is a search for transiting extra-solar planets in the Galactic disk with a focus on planets around M-dwarfs and White dwarfs. The large field of view of the Pan-STARRS1 camera enables us to monitor ∼50 000 M-dwarfs and ∼5 000 White dwarfs brighter than iP1 = 18 in seven fields. We give a description of the science goals and observating strategy and present some early results from the first two observing campaigns conducted in 2010 and 2011.

We present preliminary single field results on a search for transiting extrasolar planets with the LAIWO wide field optical CCD camera, attached to the 1-m telescope at the Wise Observatory. With a 3 min integration time, the system achieved a few mmag precision for the brightest stars in a field of view of one square degree. We detect several periodic variables and a few transit-like events. The promising candidates will be followed-up in the near future.

Hemangiomas are the most common benign tumors of the liver. There are two main methods for surgical treatment of hepatic hemangiomas: liver resections of different sizes and enucleation. To date, there is no consensus on the surgical treatment of benign liver tumors, including hemangiomas.
