The paper presents a summary of the begining research on some themes in the history of brewing in Benešov and at Konopiště in the second half od 19th century. It based on research of archival resources and literature and follows not discussed facts and brings criticism of earlier elaboration. It deals with the form and building developement of the brewery at Konopiště and especially with complicated developemet in Benešov, where three breweries developed in one place in a very short time. The existence of one of them is still not published above that. The paper is intended as a material for further research in addition to the continuous conclusion.

The paper investigates the transformation of Czech brewing industry in the 19th century from the technical, scientific and technological point of view, using wider context of European culture. Comparison of the Czech brewing industry and other European, mostly Western countries looks for intersections but also notices the differences and individual development ways. At the same time it also takes into account the tendency of experience hand-over, borrowing of inventions etc. and their use in real life. The contribution describes the role of Czech brewing industry as a firm part of European brewing industry of the 19th century showing itself not only in its similar development as in other countries but also by mutual connection of technical and scientific progress and handing over of experience with brewing technology.

The complex [TiCl 2{η 5-C 5Me 4(SiMe 2H)} 2] ( 3) was prepared by reacting the lithium salt of 2,3,4,5-tetramethyl-1-(dimethylsilyl)cyclopenta-2,4-diene ( 1) with [TiCl 3(THF) 3] followed by chlorination of the formed [TiCl{η 5-C 5Me 4(SiMe 2H)} 2] ( 2) with PbCl 2. The reduction of 3with excess magnesium in THF in the presence of excess bis(trimethylsilyl)ethyne (btmse) afforded the bivalent metal ansadisilylene complex with π-coordinated btmse [Ti{η 5-C 5Me 4(SiMe 2)} 2(η 2-btmse)] ( 4). The dehydrocoupling of the SiMe 2H groups was accompanied by hydrogen transfer to the free btmse. Analogous reduction of 3with magnesium in the presence of ethene gave a mixture of titanocene [Ti{η 5-C 5Me 4(SiMe 2Et)} 2] ( 5) and its ethene complex [Ti{η 5-C 5Me 4(SiMe 2Et)} 2(η 2-C 2H 4)] ( 6). The latter complex is however unstable in this mixture and rearranges with evolution of ethane to [Ti{η 5-C 5Me 4(SiMe 2Et)}{η 5:η 2-C 5Me 4(SiMe 2CHCH 2)}] ( 7), which has its vinyl group attached by π-coordination to Ti(II). The chlorination of 4by PbCl 2yields ansa-[TiCl 2{η 5-C 5Me 4(SiMe 2)} 2] ( 8), liberating the btmse ligand. Complex 8is reduced with a half-equivalent of Mg to give ansa-[TiCl{η 5-C 5Me 4(SiMe 2)} 2] ( 9). Compounds 5, 6, and 7were identified by 1H, 13C, and 29Si NMR spectra. Aims: To compare an impact of retransfusion of blood processed in cell-saver (CS) with that of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) on blood coagulation in patients undergoing cardiac surgery. Methods: Prospective observational study using thromboelastography (TEG). Results: TEG samples from 170 patients were analyzed. Cardiopulmonary bypass was used in 100 patients while 70 patients were operated off-pump. In 20 off-pump patients collected blood was processed by cell-saver and returned. In all patients clot formation after heparin neutralization by protamine was unimpaired. However, there was a significant increase in fibrinolysis defined by the TEG parameter Lysis time 30 min after the maximum amplitude of the clot was reached (Ly30) in groups with CPB or CS but this increase still did not exceed the threshold for clinical fibrinolysis (Ly30 > 7.5%). In the group without CPB there was no significant impact on coagulation. Conclusion: Surgery that avoids CPB and/or CS is the gentlest method for inducing blood coagulation.
