INTRODUCCIÓN. La educación artística influye beneficiosamente en el desarrollo integral del ser humano. Sin embargo, existe una carencia por lo que respecta a su investigación, como también lo es respecto al conocimiento de estas ventajas. Por ese motivo, es de especial relevancia examinar la actitud de los futuros maestros sobre el arte, o de forma más concreta, en cuanto a su didáctica. No obstante, hasta el momento no se han encontrado escalas que evalúen, desde una metodología cuantitativa, las actitudes con respecto a la Didáctica de la Expresión Plástica. Por ese motivo, este trabajo tuvo como objetivo diseñar y validar la Escala breve de Actitudes sobre la Didáctica de la Expresión Plástica (EADEP) y observar la invarianza entre sexos. MÉTODO. Para ello, se partió de una muestra de 190 futuros docentes (Medad = 20.05; DT = 3.67) para un primer estudio y 790 (Medad = 19.88; DT= 4.03) para un segundo. RESULTADOS. El primero de ellos arrojó un factor para la EADEP con adecuadas propiedades psicométricas. El segundo de ellos indicó un buen ajuste de los datos para la estructura unidimensional de la EADEP, manteniéndose invariante en función del sexo. CONCLUSIÓN. Se ofrece, por tanto, un instrumento de medida válido y fiable para la actitud hacia la Didáctica de la Expresión Plástica y se reflexiona sobre la necesidad de aumentar los estudios en este campo.

Perfectionism shows a multidimensional character whose main characteristic in the subjects that possess it is to establish excessively high standards, self-assessing with too much rigor. For this reason, studies that address it have focused their conceptualization on observing the tendency to psychopathological disorders. On the other hand, school rejection, among other aspects, shows one of the causes whose logic lies in the pursuit of tangible reinforcement outside of school. That is, that rejection focuses on the refusal to attend the school because it is considered boring and it is preferred to be with friends or doing recreational activities. The objective of the following work was to analyze the statistically significant differences of perfectionism with students with high and low levels of the pursuit of tangible reinforcement outside of school. The Child-Adolescent Perfectionism Scale (CAPS) was used to assess perfectionism, and the School Refusal Assessment Scale-Revised for Children (SRAS-R-C) to measure school rejection. The sample of the selected population reached a total of 1920 students between 1º and 3º of Baccalaureate. The results show differences in the groups with high and low levels of the IV SRAS-RC factor, in Socially Prescribed Perfectionism (SPP), Self-Oriented Perfectionism-Strivings (SOP-S) and Self-Oriented Perfectionism-Critical (SOP-C), observing scores higher in SPP (d = .37), SOP-S (d = .38), and SOP-C (d = .14) in those students with high levels of school rejection compared to their peers with lower levels of refusal school. In conclusion, the present study collaborates with new knowledge in the scientific-educational field, and encourages further research on the subject, taking into account the psychological and academic impact that can contribute to the Ecuadorian youth population.

This article explores whether the implementation of the B-Learning (BL) and Flipped Classroom (FC) methodologies, using the ICT tool Edpuzzle, in the mandatory subject of Didactics of Plastic Expression in the Early Childhood Education teacher training programme leads to improvements in their education as future teachers. To address this investigation, two different pedagogical interventions were proposed: Unit 1 (U1), implementing BL, and Unit 2 (U2) through traditional lectures. For the analysis, a qualitative methodology using the focus group technique was employed. The results revealed high satisfaction among students regarding U1, implying that the use of ICT through the implementation of BL and FC methodologies has created a more dynamic and enriching educational environment, thereby enhancing their learning.

Los problemas de asistencia a la escuela son un tema candente dentro de la sociedad en la que nos encontramos ya que poseen un impacto significativo en el desarrollo del alumnado. El objetivo de este estudio consiste en comprobar si existen diferencias en las puntuaciones medias entre los sujetos con bajas y altas puntuaciones en rechazo escolar en función de las dimensiones de las atribuciones académicas en Lengua. Se administraron la Sydney Attribution Scale (SAS) y la School Refusal Assessment Scale-Revised (SRAS-R) a 732 estudiantes (52% chicos) comprendidos entre 8 y 11 años (M =9.71; SD = 1.06). A partir de los resultados hallados, se confirma la hipótesis de inicio, según la cual se esperaba que el alumnado con altas puntuaciones en rechazo escolar obtuviera puntuaciones significativamente superiores en su atribución del fracaso a la falta de capacidad y esfuerzo. Esto ocurrió en aquellos estudiantes que basaban su rechazo a la escuela en evitar la afectividad negativa generada por determinadas situaciones escolares o escapar de situaciones de aversión social o evaluación. La actual situación ocasionada por la pandemia de la COVID-19, ha acentuado los problemas de la sociedad, y, sobre todo, del alumnado y todo lo que ello conlleva. Con el propósito de prevenir los problemas subyacentes es necesario conocer las necesidades de este alumnado y formar a los docentes para que sepan detectar estas dificultades a la hora de asistir a la escuela y estar preparados para ayudar al alumnado en su proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje.

Aesthetic-musical awareness demarcates a person's own perception of their ability to connect with music and the emotions it evokes. This may imply a benefit for the affective state of the individual. Therefore, the aim of this study was to observe whether there are statistically significant differences in emotional intelligence, perceived academic self-efficacy, and perfectionistic automatic thoughts when there are high and low scores in aesthetic-musical awareness in late adolescence. Likewise, we also aimed to determine whether emotional intelligence, perceived academic self-efficacy, and perfectionistic automatic thoughts are predictors of high aesthetic-musical awareness. To this end, a sample of 798 Spanish students between 17 and 23 years of age (Mage = 18.5 years) was used. Statistically significant differences were found for the dimensions of each variable when there were high and low scores in aesthetic-musical awareness (scores between d = −0.31 and −0.40), with higher mean scores for emotional intelligence, perceived academic self-efficacy, and perfectionistic automatic thoughts being present in the group with high aesthetic-musical awareness. Likewise, it was observed that the probability of presenting high scores in aesthetic-musical awareness was higher when there was an increase in emotional intelligence, perceived academic self-efficacy, and perceived automatic thoughts. In conclusion, the results found demonstrate that both emotional intelligence, perceived academic self-efficacy, and the presence of perfectionistic automatic thoughts influence on whether an individual has greater aesthetic-musical awareness. Taking into account previous studies that show how music influences the well-being of the person, these findings show a favorable link for the design of programs that benefit the emotional state of adolescents.

BACKGROUND: When the school climate is not ideal and coping skills for school situations are not strengthened in adolescents, school anxiety and stress may be manifested, potentially harming development and mental health during adulthood. This study aimed to analyze the predictive ability of school anxiety on elevated levels of stress in high-school students. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This cross-sectional predictive study was conducted with 1588 students aged 12–18 (M = 14.82; SD = 1.86) years in 2023. The School Anxiety Inventory (SAI) and the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS-21) were administered to the participants. An inferential data analysis method was applied. Specifically, binary logistic regression was used for data analysis. The influence of school anxiety on stress was examined using the odds ratio statistic. RESULTS: The total score on school anxiety (OR = 1.02), the situational factors: anxiety about aggression (OR = 1.03), anxiety regarding social evaluation (OR = 1.02), anxiety about failure and school punishment (OR = 1.03), and anxiety about school evaluation (OR = 1.04), as well as the response systems: cognitive (OR = 1.04), behavioral (OR = 1.08), and psychophysiological (OR = 1.04), positively and significantly (P = 0.000) influenced the high scores on stress. CONCLUSION: The results demonstrate the need to detect school anxiety in adolescents at an early state to intervene in both anxiety-provoking situations and responses and in the resulting high stress. Similarly, schools should promote mental health work and self-regulation to prepare students for adult life.
