Using a paperless patient registration project, this teaching case demonstrates an application of the six-step approach in developing a business case for an IT investment. More specifically, this case familiarizes students with the process of developing a solid business case by defining business drivers and investment objectives, identifying and structuring benefits and costs, and estimating return on investment (ROI) based on these values. Students learn, step-by-step, the process from raw data collected from organizational records and internet research to complete managerial decisions based on detailed analysis.

Comprehensive Summary: We report herein the first observation of MOF nanozyme enabling dual‐functional photo‐induced charge transfer and biomimetic precipitation for advanced organic photoelectrochemical transistor (OPECT) bioanalysis. Specifically, Fe/Co‐MIL‐88, serving simultaneously as the semiconductor and nanozyme, was explored as a dual‐functional gating module in OPECT. Upon light illumination, it could accelerate the charge transfer of the photogate to produce enhanced photo‐induced voltage. Meanwhile, its catalytic property could efficiently produce biomimetic precipitation to block the nanopores in Fe/Co‐MIL‐88 and thus alter the device characteristics. The generic bioanalytical potential of such a rationale was then demonstrated with an aptasensing assisted by magnetic separation. This work represents the first exploration of biomimetic precipitation from MOF nanozymes for generic OPECT bioanalysis, it is expected to attract more interest in various nanozymes for novel optoelectronic bioanalytics. The catalytic hydrogenation of CO2 to methane is one of the highly researched areas for the production of chemical fuels. The activity of catalyst is largely affected by support type and metal‐support interaction deriving from the special method during catalyst preparation. Hence, we employed a simple solvothermal technique to synthesize Ni‐based catalysts with different supports and studied the support role (CeO2, Al2O3, ZrO2, and La2O3) on structure‐activity relationships in CO2 methanation. It is found that catalyst morphology can be altered by only changing the support precursors during synthesis, and therefore their catalytic behaviours were significantly affected. The Ni/Al2O3 with a core‐shell morphology prepared herein exhibited a higher activity than the catalyst prepared with a common wet impregnation method. To have a comprehensive understanding for structure‐activity relationships, advanced characterization (e. g., synchrotron radiation‐based XAS and photoionization mass spectrometry) and in‐situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy experiments were conducted. Inverse synthetic-aperture radar (ISAR) can achieve precise imaging of targets, which enables precise perception of battlefield information, and it has become one of the most important tasks for radar systems. In multi-target scenarios, a resource scheduling method is required to improve the sensing ability and the overall efficiency of a radar system due to the limited resources. Considering the motion state of the target will change as the observation distance increases and image defocusing can occur due to the prolonged coherence accumulation time and significant changes in the target's motion state, the optimal observation period should be an important consideration factor in the resource scheduling method to further improve the imaging efficiency of radar system, which has not yet been involved in existing research. In this paper, we first derive the expressions of the target's effective rotation angle and the equivalent rotation angular velocity and then define the target's optimal observation period. Then, for multi-target imaging scenarios, we allocate pulse resources within a given time period based on sparse-aperture ISAR imaging technology. An adaptive radar resource scheduling algorithm for multi-target ISAR imaging is proposed, which prioritizes allocating resources based on the optimal observation periods for the targets. In the algorithm, a radar resource scheduling model for multi-target ISAR imaging is established, and a feedback-based closed-loop search optimization method is proposed to solve the model. Finally, the best scheduling strategy can be obtained, which includes imaging task duration and the pulse allocation sequence for each target. Our attention can be directed to specific locations in our visual field (space-based attention), or to specific objects (object-based attention). However, object-based attention tends to be less pronounced than space-based attention and can vary greatly between individuals. Here we investigated whether the low prevalence of object-based effects is related to variability in the temporal dynamics of attentional selection. We manipulated cue-to-target intervals from 50 to 600 ms in a two-rectangle discrimination task. Space- and object-based effects were measured at the group level and for individual participants. We used bootstrapping to highlight cue-to-target intervals with maximal space- and object-based effects, and fast Fourier transform (FFT) to investigate rhythmic sampling of locations within and between objects. Whereas overall, space-based effects were robust and stable across all cue-to-target intervals for most participants, object-based effects were small and were only found for a small subset of participants in the different cue-to-target intervals. In the frequency domain, only a small number of participants exhibited significant periodicities, prompting the need for further investigation and consideration. Overall, our study suggests variability in the temporal dynamics of object-based effects underlying their low prevalence, a finding that needs to be further investigated in future studies. This study aimed to estimate temporal trends in physical fitness (PF) by regions, age groups and nutritional status among Chinese children and adolescents and to longitudinally examine PF determinants based on social-ecological model. Participants (n = 68,265) aged 7–18 were from five successive national surveys (2000 to 2019). Six tested items of PF were calculated as PF indicator (PFI), which was used to divide participants into two categories: low vs. moderate/high. One-way analysis of variance was used to compare difference and change trend of PFI. Linear regression evaluated relationship between PFI and body mass index (BMI), and logistic regression assessed association between PFI and factors of behaviours and lifestyles on individual-, family- and school-level based on the social-ecological model. PFI declined sharply from 2000 to 2010, increased slightly from 2010 to 2014 and then edged down in 2019. Students with moderate BMI and students in urban areas tended to have higher PFI, and larger increase of PFI was found in students aged 7–9 and 13–15 after 2010. Several determinants on individual-, family- and school-level related to PFI. Efforts to develop PF mainly include increasing PA and reducing sedentary behaviours by facilitating home-school collaboration and emphasizing age-, region- and BMI-specific actions. Plants and microbial pathogens often engage in a fierce war that determines their survival. Host plants have evolved sophisticated regulatory mechanisms to fine-tune defense responses to counter attacks from pathogens, while pathogens often hijack the lipid-derived phytohormone jasmonate to cause hormonal signaling imbalances for efficient infection. This review focuses on the jasmonate-based warfare between host plants and pathogenic intruders, and further discusses approaches to uncouple plant growth and defense tradeoffs in crop breeding. Ozone addition is a promising way to control and monitor the combustion process, e.g., enhancing the low-temperature oxidation reaction. This paper studied the ozone-initiated low-temperature oxidation of methane and ethane in a jet-stirred reactor (JSR) at atmospheric pressure. For the first time, we observed that the low-temperature oxidation of methane and ethane started ca. 450 K. Dozens of low-temperature oxidation products, which are dominantly oxygenated species, were identified and quantified by synchrotron vacuum ultraviolet photoionization mass spectrometry (SVUV-PIMS). These data are valuable for evaluating the C 1 –C 2 chemistry of base models. NUIGMech1.1 was used to simulate the experimental data in this work. The results reveal that the model can predict methane conversion, but a large deviation is observed for the intermediate species. In the case of ethane, NUIGMech1.1 overpredicts the low-temperature reactivity of ethane. We found that the reaction mechanism of the alkylperoxy radicals (CH 3 Ȯ 2 and C 2 H 5 Ȯ 2) is crucial in accurately predicting the low-temperature oxidation chemistry of methane and ethane. The bimolecular reactions of the alkylperoxy radicals with Ö atoms and ȮH and HȮ 2 radicals, as well as the self and cross reactions of the alkylperoxy radicals, determine the balance of the radical pool of Ö, ȮH, and HȮ 2 , and subsequently the fuel reactivity and the formation of the oxidation intermediates. This work provides new insights into the reaction mechanism of the key intermediates in the base model for chemically sensitized low-temperature fuel oxidation that need to be thoroughly studied in the future. Because of the difficulty of evaluating uneven performance among group members, many researchers suggest incorporating peer evaluations in a grading system that permits an instructor to evaluate and grade individual performance more equitably within a group. In this study, the authors employ expectancy theory to assess key factors that may motivate students to participate in the peer evaluation process of group projects. Results show that students generally thought that the most attractive outcome of peer evaluation is its use in the determination of peers' grades. The second most attractive outcome is its use for reduction of conflict and uneven workload distribution among group members. The authors provide implications for instructors planning to use peer evaluation in group projects. (Contains 4 tables and 7 notes.)
