Left ventricular segmentation is a vital and necessary procedure for assessing cardiac systolic and diastolic function, while echocardiography is an indispensable diagnostic technique that enables cardiac functionality assessment. However, manually labeling the left ventricular region on echocardiography images is time consuming and leads to observer bias. Recent research has demonstrated that deep learning has the capability to employ the segmentation process automatically. However, on the downside, it still ignores the contribution of all semantic information through the segmentation process. This study proposes a deep neural network architecture based on BiSeNet, named Bi-DCNet. This model comprises a spatial path and a context path, with the former responsible for spatial feature (low-level) acquisition and the latter responsible for contextual semantic feature (high-level) exploitation. Moreover, it incorporates feature extraction through the integration of dilated convolutions to achieve a larger receptive field to capture multi-scale information. The EchoNet-Dynamic dataset was utilized to assess the proposed model, and this is the first bilateral-structured network implemented on this large clinical video dataset for accomplishing the segmentation of the left ventricle. As demonstrated by the experimental outcomes, our method obtained 0.9228 and 0.8576 in DSC and IoU, respectively, proving the structure's effectiveness. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In inductive power transfer systems, load and coupling fluctuations may cause significant reactive power. In this article, a dual shunt inductor compensation topology (named as L-S/S-L) with parallel inductors at both ports of the series/series compensation is proposed to maintain nearly unity power factor and implement a wide load range with considering misalignment. With the balanced parameter configuration, L-S/S-L compensation can keep a constant zero phase angle. This feature maintains nearly unity power factor under load, coupling, and frequency variations. A monotonically rising power versus frequency characteristic can be designed by setting the scale factors of L-S/S-L. Based on the designed characteristic, frequency control is implemented to adjust the output power over a wide range. Furthermore, zero voltage switching is achieved within the selected operating frequency range by slightly adjusting the primary shunt inductance in the design stage. A 2.1 kW prototype is built to demonstrate the validity of the proposed method. Experimental results show that the power factor is close to unity under various working conditions. Within the coupling coefficient range from 0.35 to 0.16, the maximum efficiency changes little from 95.6% to 94.7%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

To charge the battery of electric vehicles (EVs), inductive power transfer (IPT) system has been considered to be more appropriate than traditional plug‐in system especially for its security and convenience. This study proposes a hybrid IPT system for EVs charging applications adopting one transmitter coil with series compensation and two receiver coils with series compensation and LCL compensation. With the help of the two receiver coils and proper parameters design, the proposed system can naturally obtain constant current (CC) and constant voltage (CV) outputs and the maximum output power can be naturally limited which can prevent the system from possible overload. Therefore, the reliability of the proposed system is increased. Since the mode switching process can be automatically realised according to the value of battery equivalent load without extra control strategy and circuit, the fixed‐frequency control can be used. Therefore, not only zero phase angle condition, but also the soft switching can be achieved. The theoretical analysis is presented with the design process of the IPT coils and resonance parameters for required battery charging profile. With the development of molecular ecology, increasing low-abundance microbial populations were detected in oil reservoirs. However, our knowledge about the oil recovery potential of these populations is lacking. In this study, the oil recovery potential of low-abundance Dietzia that accounts for less than 0.5% in microbial communities of a water-flooding oil reservoir was investigated. On the one hand, Dietzia sp. strain ZQ-4 was isolated from the water-flooding reservoir, and the oil recovery potential was evaluated from the perspective of metabolisms and oil-displacing test. On the other hand, the strain has alkane hydroxylase genes alkB and P450 CYP153 and can degrade hydrocarbons and produce surfactants. The core-flooding test indicated that displacing fluid with 2% ZQ-4 fermentation broth increased 18.82% oil displacement efficiency, and in situ fermentation of ZQ-4 increased 1.97% oil displacement efficiency. Furthermore, the responses of Dietzia in the reservoir accompanied by the nutrient stimulation process was investigated and showed that Dietzia in some oil production wells significantly increased in the initial phase of nutrient injection and sharply decreased along with the continuous nutrient injection. Overall, this study indicates that Dietzia sp. strain has application potential for enhancing oil recovery through an ex situ way, yet the ability of oil recovery in situ based on nutrient injection is limited. It was found that Bacillus sp. Y1 could secrete alkaline pectinase with suitable enzyme system for powerful and fast degumming of ramie fiber. In this study, the medium components and fermentation conditions were optimized by some statistical methods including mixture design, fractional factorial design, central composite design and response surface methodology, and single factor method for enhancing the alkaline pectinase production. The optimized conditions for pectinase production were that the culture was shaken at 34°C for 60 h in 50 mL of medium containing 10.5% (w/v) carbon source (consisting of 3.8% starch, 4.2% wheat bran, and 2.5% sucrose), 0.37% (NH4)2SO4, 0.3% MgSO4, and 0.1% Tween-80, with initial pH 8.2 and inoculation amount of 1.3 mL (with the OD600 of the seed medium about 5.77). Using the optimizing conditions, the activities of polygalacturonate lyase (PGL) and polygalacturonase (PG) in fermentation liquor were increased to 2.00-fold and 3.44-fold, respectively, and the fermentation time shortened 12 hours (from 72 h to 60 h), which showed good application potential in degumming of ramie. Even worse, the price of Agaricus bisporus is cheap in boom season, reducing the economic benefits; but the product is unavailable off season. The whole-year production of Agaricus bisporus will help to solve the problem and increase the economic benefits of farmers. In this paper, the whole-year cultivation techniques of Agaricus bisporus were summarized. There are a total of 3 seasons of Agaricus bisporus (spring, summer, autumn-winter) throughout the year. Objective: Recent studies have utilized fluorine-18-fluorodeoxyglucose ( 18 F-FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) specifically to diagnose cases of idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIM), excluding inclusion body myositis (IBM). Conversely, carbon-11 ( 11 C) labeled Pittsburgh compound B (PIB)-PET imaging is exclusively used for the detection of IBM. This research is designed to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of PET/CT in identifying IIM by employing rigorous diagnostic accuracy testing methodologies., Materials and Methods: A systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted across multiple databases including PubMed, and Embase. We focused on the diagnostic utility of PET/CT in IIM, assessing sensitivities, specificities, and deriving likelihood ratios (LR+ and LR-). The study was registered with PROSPERO (CRD42022343222)., Results: This systematic review identified 635 citations, of which 10 eligible trials were included, with a total of 419 participants. The results indicated a sensitivity of 0.86 (0.81-0.90), and a specificity of 0.93 (0.88-0.96). The synthesis of LR revealed the LR+ of 10.35 (6.31-16.98), and LR-of 0.15 (0.07-0.32). The summary receiver operating characteristic curve (SROC) showed an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.9658. Regarding IBM, the sensitivity was 0.84 (0.60-0.97), and the specificity was 1 (0.69-1). The synthesis of LR showed the LR+ of 9.61 (1.46-63.15) and an LR- of 0.21 (0.09-0.51). For disease activity, the sensitivity was 0.96 (0.92-0.99), and the specificity was 0.91 (0.084-0.96). The synthesis of LR showed an LR+ of 9.43 (5.39-16.51) and an LR- of 0.05 (0.02-0.11)., Conclusion: Positron emission tomography/CT has great potential for accurately diagnosing and monitoring patients with IIM, and may have implications for their clinical management.
