This paper analyzes the related research papers on food printing published on the Web of Science core collection and CNKI database by using bibliometrics, and finds that the number of articles published and the citation frequency of 3D printed articles on food in China and abroad are increasing year by year. China, Australia and the United States are the countries with the highest number of articles published and cited, but from the point of view of the single citation frequency of articles, the quality of articles in China still needs to be improved. The team led by Zhang M, Bhandari B, and Prakash S are leading the research on food 3D printing, with related research topics covering printability analysis of raw materials, post-treatment research, individualized nutrition requirements, and food customization. At present, the research on food 3D printing and 4D printing suitable for the elderly and patients with dysphagia is being focused on. It is proposed that the construction of domestic and foreign scientific research cooperation network should be strengthened in the future, with emphasis on improving the quality of the research.

The light characteristics of an ecosystem drive evolutionary adaptations in visual traits, enhancing the diversity and abundance of species living there. The visual systems of crustaceans are highly diverse and often correspond to the optical properties of their preferred environments. Although habitat depth is known to greatly influence visual specialization in marine crustaceans, it remains unclear whether depth drives visual adaptions in nocturnal species. Slipper lobsters (Scyllaridae) are nocturnal benthic marine crustaceans distributed throughout a wide range of depths. In order to understand the visual adaptive capabilities of slipper lobsters inhabiting different depths, we characterized the eye structures of a shallow-water species (Parribacus japonicas), an intermediate-depth species (Scyllarides squammosus) and a deep-water species (Ibacus novemdentatus). Moreover, we measured by electroretinogram (ERG) the spectral sensitivities and temporal resolutions for each species using the following light stimuli: UV (λmax 386 nm), blue (λmax 462 nm), green (λmax 518 nm), yellow (λmax 590 nm), and red (λmax 632 nm). Our histological experiments show that all three species possess a typical superposition compound eye with square facets, and their ERG measurements revealed a single sensitivity peak for each species. Notably, peak spectral sensitivity corresponded to habitat depth, with the estimated peak for I. novemdentatus (493.0 ± 9.8 nm) being similar to that of S. squammosus (517.4 ± 2.1 nm), but lower than that of P. japonicus (537.5 ± 9.9 nm). Additionally, the absolute sensitivities at respective peak wavelengths for I. novemdentatus and P. japonicus were higher than that of S. squammosus. No differences were observed among the three species for maximum critical flicker fusion frequency (CFFmax) across light stimuli. However, P. japonicus had lower CFFmax values than the other two species. These data suggest that all three nocturnal slipper lobsters are likely monochromatic and well adapted to dim light environments. Significantly, the deep-water slipper lobster displayed higher spectral sensitivities at shorter wavelengths than the shallow water species, but temporal resolution was not compromised.

With the increasing application of composite components in various industries, the assessment of their structural integrity, the analysis of damage processes, and the identification of damage patterns are becoming increasingly important. The accuracy of the analysis relies heavily on the selection of features. This paper presents a new idea to extract effective damage features from acoustic emission (AE) signals and accurately identify different damages in the failure process of carbon fiber reinforced polymer specimens. The method combines Hilbert–Huang transform (HHT) and Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) to analyze the AE signals generated during the damage process of composite specimens. Specifically, the Hilbert marginal energy spectrum of the signals was regarded as frequency domain descriptors. The frequency domain descriptors were subsequently associated with the parametric features after dimensionality reduction by LDA to construct the classification framework named HHT-LDA. The results show that the frequency domain descriptors of the AE signals associated with each damage mode characterized distinctly. The frequency band of energy distribution in the raw waveform for matrix cracking, delamination, and fiber breakage are (100–150 kHz), (150–300 kHz), and (300–350 kHz), respectively. In addition, the three damage patterns mentioned above were successfully detected and recognized from the complex AE waveforms using HHT-LDA with 85% overall classification rate. This research idea will serve as a potential method for future composite damage pattern recognition and provide supporting knowledge for practical applications of AE monitoring. Salvianolic acid A (SAA) is one of the major components in Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge., with various pharmacological activities, and is likely to be a promising agent for the treatment of kidney diseases. The purpose of this study was to explore the protective effect and mechanisms of SAA on kidney disease. In this study, the improvement effects of SAA (10, 20, 40 mg/kg, i.g.) on kidney injury rats were investigated by detecting the levels of KIM-1, NGAL in serum and UP in the urine of AKI model rats established with gentamicin, as well as the levels of SCr and UREA in serum and IL-6, IL-12, MDA and T-SOD in the kidneys of CKD model rats established with 5/6 nephrectomy. HE and Masson staining were used to observe the histopathological changes in the kidney. Network pharmacology and Western blotting were used to explore the mechanism of SAA in improving kidney injury. The results showed that SAA improved kidney function in kidney injury rats by reducing the kidney index and pathological injury by HE and Masson staining, reducing the levels of KIM-1, NGAL and UP in AKI rats and UREA, SCr and UP in CKD rats, as well as exerting anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative stress effects by inhibiting the release of IL-6 and IL-12, reducing MDA and increasing T-SOD. Western blotting results showed that SAA significantly reduced the phosphorylation levels of ERK1/2, p38, JNK and smad2/3, and the expression of TLR-4 and smad7. In conclusion, SAA plays a significant role in improving kidney injury in rats and the mechanism may be achieved by regulating the MAPKs and TGF-β1/smads signaling pathways. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In order to effectively measure the dynamic axle load of vehicles in motion, the dynamic weighing method of vehicles based on piezoelectric sensor was studied. Firstly, the influencing factors of the measurement accuracy in the dynamic weighing process were analyzed systematically, and the impacts of road irregularities and dynamic weighing system vibration on measurement error were discussed. On the basis of the analysis, the arithmetic mean filter method was used in the software algorithm to filter out the periodic interference added in the sensor signal, the most suitable n value was selected to get the better filtering result by simulation comparison. Then, the dynamic axle load calculation model of high speed vehicles was studied deeply, based on the theoretical response curve of the sensor, the dynamic axle load calculation method based on frequency reconstruction was established according to actual measurement signals of sensors and the analysis from time domain and frequency domain, also the least square method was used to realize the identification of temperature correction coefficient. A large amount of data that covered the usual vehicle weighing range was collected by experiment. The results show that the dynamic weighing signal system identification error all controlled within 10% at the same temperature and 60% of the vehicle data error can be controlled within 7%. The temperature correction coefficient and the correction formula at different temperatures ranges are well adapted to ensure that the vehicle temperature error at different temperatures can also be controlled within 10% and 70% of the vehicle data error within 7%. Furthermore, the weighing results remain stable regardless of the speed of the vehicle which meets the requirements for high-speed dynamic weighing.

The purpose of this study was to profile the mental development of children aged 18 to 96 months with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) using the Chinese version of the Griffiths Mental Development Scales (GMDS), and to explore the relationships between developmental levels and ASD severity, the sex of the child and the age of ASD diagnosis. Children with ASD (n = 398; 337 boys, 61 girls) were recruited and ASD severity evaluated using the Autism Behavior Checklist and the Childhood Autism Rating Scale, while the GMDS was used to evaluate the children's mental development. Study participants were divided into groups according to GMDS general and subscale quotients, ASD severity, sex, and age. The majority of groups divided according to the GMDS quotients exhibited an unbalanced distribution in respect of the six domains of the GMDS and there were significant differences within the six subscale quotients. Autism severity, sex and age had significant effects on the overall level of development of autistic children. The quotients recorded for the children with more severe ASD were significantly lower than those for the children with less severe ASD. A markedly higher proportion of developmental delay was recorded for girls than boys in relation to the performance subscale. The locomotor quotient decreased in line with age at diagnosis, while autism severity and age had significant effects on the general and subscale quotients and sex had a significant effect on performance quotient. Children with ASD exhibit an uneven cognitive development profile, and their overall developmental levels are affected by autism severity, sex and age. Specific cognitive domains differ according to sex in children with ASD. Locomotor skills tend to decrease according to the age at diagnosis for autistic children aged 18 to 84 months. Autism severity and age are also associated with the level of functioning in different cognitive areas. These findings contribute to define the cognitive developmental profiles of children with ASD. Through precipitation polymerization approach, bovine serum albumin (BSA) molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) was synthesized with various reagents to ascertain the optimal synthesis condition. The optimized synthesis condition is methacrylic acid (MAA) as functional monomer, N,N′-methylenebisacrylamide (MBA) as crosslinker, template molecular/functional monomer/initiator ratio of 1:6:3, and K2S2O8/NaHSO3 initiator ratio of 1:2. BSA adsorption by synthesized MIP conformed to second-order kinetic adsorption equation and Langmuir adsorption isotherm. The maximum adsorption amount of MIP was 106.2 mg/g. Moreover, when the lysozyme (LYZ) was introduced as interfering adsorbate, the separation factor was up to 3.09, indicating that the MIP has a high affinity towards BSA. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
