Gender equality is a topical issue that also concerns the transport sector. Gender-neutral transport systems may not be equally suitable for each gender and thus fail to meet their mobility requirements. Therefore, there is a need to study the transport behaviour of men and women and use the findings to further develop transport systems. This article focuses on gender differences in transport behaviour patterns. To obtain the necessary data, a survey was conducted through a structured personal questionnaire. The results were then processed using selected statistical methods. The results of the survey show that the differences are mainly in the means of transport used or the purposes of the trips. On the other hand, as for the criteria that influence the selection of a mode of travel, time is equally important for both women and men, followed by the purpose of the journey and the availability of transport. The survey thus confirmed that there are significant differences in the transport behaviour of men and women.

General activity in the tourism market has been stagnating since the market paralysis caused by the COVID-19 global pandemic. The situation is difficult to predict due to political and legislative interventions, changes in the economic performance of the tourism sector, and massive changes in demand. The paper aims at depicting the current macro-economic trends that have an impact on the tourism sector, thus contributing to the formation of some basis of inputs into the discussion concerning a possible orientation of the sector and businesses and future creation of services and products in the European area. The objective is achieved using the model of PESTLE analysis based on a comparative analysis of the latest and the most recent factors of the macroeconomic marketing environment, the findings of a study on a change in mobility of the inhabitants of the Czech Republic, trends in the tourism sector before and after the COVID-19 pandemic. The presented findings provide a basis for discussion on the concept orientation and the creation of tourism services and products in the Czech Republic and Europe.

Job satisfaction is a highly relevant topic across all sectors of the national economy worldwide. A contented employee significantly enhances a company's performance compared to a dissatisfied one. Simultaneously, a contented employee increases the human capital value of the company, which has a substantial impact on its overall value. However, employee satisfaction is not a static state; it can be influenced by various factors, one of which is perceived workload resulting from the nature of the job. The aim of this article is to investigate whether there is a demonstrable impact of perceived workload on employee satisfaction. This relationship is examined within the context of subway train drivers in the Czech Republic. In exploring this relationship, we also delve into the psychological factor of whether there is a connection between perceived workload and the satisfaction of subway train drivers based on their personality types according to the MBTI test. These dependencies are assessed through correlation analysis using a comprehensive dataset obtained. In the course of the research, data were collected from the entire basic sample of respondents, namely from 654 subway train drivers. The results confirmed the existing influence of perceived workload on employee satisfaction and, concurrently, the influence of perceived workload on employee satisfaction based on the personality typology determined by the MBTI test. These findings are undoubtedly beneficial for the management of transportation companies, particularly those involved in passenger transportation, specifically in the provision of subway services. The human factor is still an irreplaceable element bearing a competitive advantage in the changed conditions of the wood-processing industry created by Industrial Revolution 4.0. Their sophisticated use and motivation result in the company's higher performance potential, and satisfaction is reflected in higher employee loyalty. The study aims to evaluate the level of motivation of employees working in the wood-processing industry in selected Central European countries (Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine) from the point of view of groups of motivation factors and then to compare them between countries in terms of gender and age. Differences in the mean values of the compared groups were tested, taking into account the confidence interval. The research was conducted at the beginning of 2021 when Ukraine has not been in a military conflict yet. The result of our findings is the knowledge that the most important motivation factors for Slovak employees in the wood-processing industry are those related to finance and employer-employee relationships. Czech employees also prefer the same motivation factors but place less emphasis on them. Employees of the wood-processing industry in Ukraine prefer motivation factors related to finance and career aspiration. From the point of view of motivation, the input qualitative parameters of rawwood material and its assessment in forest stands are also important. In globalization, the findings of our study can serve as insights for managers within the wood-processing industry. The motivational preferences of employees can be statistically determined, but not lifted out of context in terms of the field they work in. The transport and logistics sector is undergoing a significant transformation, characterised by new technological solutions in everyday practice. It is a sector subject to a high number of legislative, economic, social, technological and environmental changes. Such changes have a secondary influence on the expectations, values and therefore preferences and job satisfaction of employees. The objective of this contribution is to identify the development of the motivational preferences of employees in the transport and logistics sector over time. These changes are monitored within the context of key changes and the strategic direction of the sector. The achievement of the objective is based on the partial results of research conducted by means of a questionnaire survey (n = 3,543) on motivational preferences and job satisfaction within the field. The ANOVA test and Tukey's HSD test were used for the verification of the hypotheses. The results show that employee preferences are changing significantly, with the most significant increase being identified in the case of social factors (environmental approach, corporate vision and regional development), reflecting current green innovation trends in the sector. Also, employees perceive education and professional growth, self-realisation, competencies, corporate prestige, physical and mental demands, content and type of work, working hours and environment and such feedback on results as increasingly important. In Industry 4.0 completely new production worlds are emerging, where robots are becoming a key element and where common human skill activities and thinking are commonly surpassed. The growing degree of automation and the interconnection of the digital and the real-world create an environment that requires a set of interdisciplinary skills. For the sustainability of enterprises in this environment, human creativity acquires an irreplaceable role. The aim is to compare the application of selected values in corporate culture, which creates a space for increasing the creativity of employees from the perspective of different sizes of enterprises. The research sample consists of 1,716 companies of the Czech and Slovakia that participated in the questionnaire survey. The results of the independent T -test confirmed significant differences in the applied values between the countries being compared. Differences in terms of business size have been further explored through the ANOVA test and the Tukey HSD test. The results subsequently confirmed that the values: work meaningfulness, passion for work, and trust are applied more significantly to microenterprises in both the countries, creating an environment that supports creativity.
