This research aims to examine the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on the financial performance of highly polluted national and international companies in Indonesia. Additionally, the study explores the role of industry competitiveness in mediating the relationship between CSR dimensions and financial performance. The research employed a quantitative methodology and collected data from 238 company respondents using primary and secondary sources. Partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to analyze the data and establish significant relationships between the variables. The results indicate that both CSR dimensions and industry competitiveness have a substantial impact on financial performance. Specifically, CSR’s economic, environmental, and social dimensions positively and significantly affect financial performance. Furthermore, industry competitiveness significantly mediates between corporate social responsibility (CSR) and financial performance. These findings provide empirical and theoretical insights for improving CSR measures and financial performance in heavily polluted industries. Companies should actively pursue CSR initiatives and increase industry competitiveness to enhance financial performance sustainably.

Against the backdrop of innovation fault-tolerance, government compensation for failed generic technological innovation projects is beneficial to stimulate re-innovation behaviour. However, considering the information asymmetry, a collusion tendency exists between the compensated party and the evaluator during the process of compensation. To prompt the government to build collusion-proof mechanisms to reduce collusion loss, the evolutionary game method was used to build replicated dynamic equations and a Jacobian matrix of both sides based on the information topology between the conspirators and regulator. Through the evolutionary equilibrium analysis and numerical simulation, evolutionary stability strategies (ESS) under different topological relationship information (non-intersect, partial intersect, and inclusive type) were found. Results show that the collusion behaviour can be effectively restrained when the government is unaware of collusion information, the net defense income is positive, and the penalty threshold is the product of the net collusive income and the ratio of the collusive and regulatory information. With the increasing amount of collusive information available to the government, the conspirators tend to adhere to moral principles subject to strict regulation. In addition, the moderating effect of penalty factor is positively correlated with the private information possessed by both sides. The conclusion is beneficial to provide theoretical support for optimizing the government-led compensation mechanism for failed generic technological innovation projects.

The knowledge-based view (KBV) in the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is a debatable topic in the current literature. Although convergence of technological and financial literacy (techno-finance literacy) is an essential knowledge-based tool to address rapid digitalization of business, the influence of techno-finance literacy in the development of SMEs is still not adequately researched. Drawing upon KBV, we developed a single-mediator structural model with an aim to explore the effect of techno-finance literacy and enterprise risk management (ERM) practices (applications) on the performance of SMEs. A self-administered structured questionnaire was employed to collect data from 319 chief financial offers (CFOs) in Sri Lankan SMEs. The outcome of our study highlights that techno-finance literacy is a significant determinant of two endogenous constructs, namely, SME performance and ERM practices. Furthermore, ERM practices of SMEs were also positively affected to the SME performance. Moreover, ERM practices were observed to have a partial mediation on the relationship between financial literacy and SME performance. These findings form the basis for theories in techno-finance literacy and SME performance, as well as present managerial implications to enhance the performance of SMEs.

The essence of technological innovation in the biomedical industry is the classification and evaluation of the technical information in the target domain. This is highly similar to the genetic engineering theory, and the generic technology in the biomedical industry can be regarded as a generic technology gene. In order to identify and extract generic technical information from the biomedical industry and to realize the systematization and visualization of technical gene mapping, thus, deep learning techniques need to be introduced. Based on the method of word vector and deep autoencoder, this paper trains and reduces the dimensionality of a large number of technical text information in China's biomedical industry, and combines cluster analysis to extract generic technology gene information and map the genome. On this basis, the application prospect of deep learning technology in the gene identification of generic technology in general industry is further proposed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Existing research generally suggests that the psychological contract is an effective way to solve the problem of employee turnover when a labor contract is missing or incomplete. However, with dual organizational identity, the effect of a dispatched employee's psychological contract on turnover intention differs from the effect for an ordinary employee. Consensus has not been reached regarding how to intervene in the high turnover rates of dispatched employees in terms of psychological contracts. This study investigated the relationship between psychological contracts and the turnover intention of dispatched employees, with consideration of the mediating role of job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Using a questionnaire survey, data were obtained from 271 dispatched employees in the banking industry in Henan province (China) from February to June 2016. It was found that a dispatched employee's psychological contract has a dual aspect involving strong relations between the employee's psychological contract with the dispatching agency and with the client. Meanwhile, a dispatched employee's psychological contract with the client has a significant positive influence on job satisfaction and organizational commitment, and indirectly influences turnover intention through the mediating roles of job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Further, the individual mediating effect of job satisfaction is greater than the continuous mediating effect of organizational commitment and job satisfaction. By revealing the influence of a dispatched employee's psychological contract on turnover intention, this study can help organizations develop intervention strategies at the level of individual psychology to address the high turnover rates of dispatched employees.
