The structural parameters, electron localization functions, electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) parameters, formation energies, and thermodynamic transition levels of various oxygen vacancy defects in amorphous silica are comprehensively and integrally investigated by using density functional theory. The trends of changes in the oxygen vacancy defect structure and electron localization induced by the increase in distance between defective silicon atoms are clearly identified. It is shown that the dimer configuration may be the potential structure of the E δ ′ center. For the back-projected unpuckered configuration and the puckered configuration, whose EPR parameters are more consistent with the experimental values of the E γ ′ center, the unpaired electron localized on the sp3 hybridized silicon atom is a common feature. Due to the three-coordinated oxygen atom in the forward-oriented configuration, the EPR parameters are closest to those of the E α ′ center. Transformations of oxygen vacancy defects under different charge states are studied by sequentially adding and removing electrons. The thermodynamic transition level analysis reveals that the dimer and forward configurations may behave as deep traps for electron accumulation. The back-projected puckered fourfold-coordinated and fivefold-coordinated configurations are comparatively stable and may be able to function as shallow traps for electron transport. The neutral double unpuckered, neutral back-projected puckered fourfold-coordinated, and neutral back-projected unpuckered configurations are more likely to lose electrons during hole trapping. As the bias voltage is repeatedly changed, the defect density of the puckered configuration may reduce, while that of the dimer and unpuckered configuration may take an opposite trend. This article explores the use of breast cancer organoids (BCOs) in personalized medicine. The study reveals that BCOs effectively preserve molecular characteristics in hormone receptor-positive and HER2-positive breast cancers, but there are notable differences in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) due to culture conditions. BCOs exhibit a decrease in immune and stromal cells compared to primary breast cancer tissues, but an increase in epithelial cells. The study also investigates genomic concordance, gene expression profiling, and drug sensitivity in BCOs. The findings suggest that BCOs are valuable for studying epithelial components of tumors, but may have limitations in accurately predicting drug sensitivity in TNBC. Inspired by biological systems that are highly connected and can process massive amounts of data, neuromorphic transistors may overcome the traditional von Neumann bottleneck. In this work, an organic synaptic transistor was fabricated with a covalent organic polymer MT-TP to mimic the behavior of biological synapses. The device exhibits hole trapping/detrapping ability and outstanding stability. The common biological synaptic behaviors were successfully simulated by the MT-TP synaptic transistor. Eventually, an artificial neural network was constructed and the total accuracy for identifying numbers could reach 86.2%. The rapid advancement of tumor immunotherapies poses challenges for the tools used in cancer immunology research, highlighting the need for highly effective biomarkers and reproducible experimental models. Current immunotherapy biomarkers encompass surface protein markers such as PD‐L1, genetic features such as microsatellite instability, tumor‐infiltrating lymphocytes, and biomarkers in liquid biopsy such as circulating tumor DNAs. Experimental models, ranging from 3D in vitro cultures (spheroids, submerged models, air–liquid interface models, organ‐on‐a‐chips) to advanced 3D bioprinting techniques, have emerged as valuable platforms for cancer immunology investigations and immunotherapy biomarker research. By preserving native immune components or coculturing with exogenous immune cells, these models replicate the tumor microenvironment in vitro. Animal models like syngeneic models, genetically engineered models, and patient‐derived xenografts provide opportunities to study in vivo tumor‐immune interactions. Humanized animal models further enable the simulation of the human‐specific tumor microenvironment. Here, we provide a comprehensive overview of the advantages, limitations, and prospects of different biomarkers and experimental models, specifically focusing on the role of biomarkers in predicting immunotherapy outcomes and the ability of experimental models to replicate the tumor microenvironment. Background: This single-center retrospective study compared the efficacy of breast-conserving therapy along with axillary lymph node dissection (ALND) with mastectomy and ALND with regard to survival of Chinese patients with occult breast cancer. Materials & methods: Univariate Kaplan–Meier analysis and multivariate Cox proportional hazards model were used to compare treatments and prognosis. Results: A total of 111 patients with a median follow-up of 72.9 months were included. 39 patients with mastectomy + ALND had better disease-free survival than 72 patients with breast-conserving therapy + ALND (HR = 0.31; p = 0.012). Patients with radiotherapy demonstrated inferior survival for both overall survival (HR = 2.67; p = 0.071) and disease-free survival (HR = 5.35; p = 0.002). Surgical strategies and radiotherapy remained significantly predictive of better disease-free survival in multivariate analyses. Conclusion: Mastectomy and ALND demonstrate superior disease-free prognosis compared with breast-conserving therapy and ALND in occult breast cancer. Single atom catalysts (SACs) show potential application for highly efficient water splitting. Herein, we designed Co single atoms (SAs) dispersed on N and P co‐doped porous carbon nanofibers as electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER). The configuration of Co SAs is proved to coordinate with 4 N/O atoms. The long‐range interactions between doped P atoms and Co−N4(O) sites could modulate the electronic structures of M−N4(O) sites, which greatly reduce the adsorption energies of HER and OER intermediates at metal sites. Density Functional Theory calculations reveal that CoSA/CNFs exhibits optimized HER and OER kinetics when P coordinates with two N atoms. The atomically dispersed Co electrocatalyst exhibits the low overpotentials of 61, 89 and 390 mV for acidic HER, alkaline HER and OER at 10 mA cm−2 current density, along with the Tafel slope of 54, 143 and 74 mV dec−1, respectively. Background: Early detection is critical for improving the survival of breast cancer (BC) patients. Exhaled breath testing as a non-invasive technique might help to improve BC detection. However, the breath test accuracy for BC diagnosis is unclear. Methods: This multi-center cohort study consecutively recruited 5047 women from four areas of China who underwent BC screening. Breath samples were collected through standardized breath collection procedures. Volatile organic compound (VOC) markers were identified from a high-throughput breathomics analysis by the high-pressure photon ionization–time-of-flight mass spectrometry (HPPI-TOFMS). Diagnostic models were constructed using the random forest algorithm in the discovery cohort and tested in three external validation cohorts. Results: A total of 465 (9.21%) participants were identified with BC. Ten optimal VOC markers were identified to distinguish the breath samples of BC patients from those of non-cancer women. A diagnostic model (BreathBC) consisting of 10 optimal VOC markers showed an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.87 in external validation cohorts. BreathBC-Plus, which combined 10 VOC markers with risk factors, achieved better performance (AUC = 0.94 in the external validation cohorts), superior to that of mammography and ultrasound. Overall, the BreathBC-Plus detection rates were 96.97% for ductal carcinoma in situ, 85.06%, 90.00%, 88.24%, and 100% for stages I, II, III, and IV BC, respectively, with a specificity of 87.70% in the external validation cohorts. Conclusions: This is the largest study on breath tests to date. With the rapid development of the Internet and the rapid expansion of the advertising market, display advertising has become the most popular means of publicity. Accurate advertising recommendation is the guarantee of Internet platform revenue, and accurate advertising click-through rate prediction is the premise of accurate recommendation. According to the requirements of the update rate and real-time of the advertising platform, the coupling relationship of the advertising business module can be divided into two categories: offline business module and online business module. The offline advertising management module is mainly based on the construction of the mathematical model, which is used to mine the complex relationship between users and commodity characteristics; the online advertising management module is mainly based on the real-time feedback of users and changes the recommendation strategy in real time by collecting feedback information. For the offline advertising management module, an advertising click-through rate prediction model based on attention mechanism and neural network is proposed, which is called CAN. This method provides richer feature interaction information for a neural network layer. For the online advertising management module, a real-time recommendation algorithm based on Gaussian process is proposed. This method can solve the universality of specific function assumptions in various environments. Through the coupling of the advertising click-through rate prediction model constructed by the offline advertising management module and the real-time recommendation algorithm of the online advertising management module, the accurate delivery of advertising can be realized. Image classification and recognition has a very wide range of applications in computer vision, which involves many fields, such as image retrieval, image analysis, and robot positioning. Especially with the rise of brain science and cognitive science research, as well as the increasing diversification of imaging means, three-dimensional image data mainly based on magnetic resonance image plays an increasingly important role in image classification and recognition, especially in medical image classification and recognition. However, due to the high dimensional characteristics of human magnetic resonance images, human readability is reduced. Therefore, classification and recognition of 3-dimensional images is still a challenge. In order to better extract local features from images and effectively use their spatial information, this paper improved the "feature bag" and "spatial pyramid matching" algorithms on the basis of 3D feature extraction algorithm and proposed an image classification framework based on 3D feature extraction algorithm. Firstly, the multiresolution "3D spatial pyramid" algorithm, the multiscale image segmentation and image representation method, and the SVM classifier and feature fusion method are described. Secondly, the gender information contained in the magnetic resonance images is classified and recognized on the three databases selected in the experiment. Experimental results show that this method can effectively utilize the spatial information of three-dimensional images and achieve satisfactory results in the classification and recognition of human magnetic resonance images. Simple Summary: In this study, we focused on exploring phagocytosis regulators' expression and mutational characteristics in skin cutaneous melanoma samples and delineating two molecular subtypes based on expression characteristics. We determined the relationship between phagocytosis regulators and survival by survival analysis of molecular subtypes. We then constructed a survival model (PRRS) to further quantify the criteria. Moreover, we combined pathway analysis, immune infiltration analysis, and mutation analysis to deeply explore the effects of phagocytosis regulators on skin cutaneous melanoma samples. Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) have gained considerable attention as therapeutic targets. Monoclonal antibody treatments directed against tumor antigens contribute significantly to cancer cell clearance by activating macrophages to phagocytose tumor cells. Due to its complicated genetic and molecular pathways, skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM) has not yet attained the expected clinical efficacy and prognosis when compared to other skin cancers. Therefore, we chose TAMs as an entrance point. This study aimed to thoroughly assess the dysregulation and regulatory role of phagocytosis regulators in SKCM, as well as to understand their regulatory patterns in SKCM. This study subtyped prognosis-related phagocytosis regulators to investigate prognostic differences between subtypes. Then, we screened prognostic factors and constructed phagocytosis-related scoring models for survival prediction using differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between subtypes. Additionally, we investigated alternative treatment options using chemotherapeutic drug response data and clinical cohort treatment data. We first characterized and generalized phagocytosis regulators in SKCM and extensively examined the tumor immune cell infiltration. We created two phagocytosis regulator-related system (PRRS) phenotypes and derived PRRS scores using a principal component analysis (PCA) technique. We discovered that subtypes with low PRRS scores had a poor prognosis and decreased immune checkpoint-associated gene expression levels. We observed significant therapeutic and clinical improvements in patients with higher PRRS scores. Our findings imply that the PRRS scoring system can be employed as an independent and robust prognostic biomarker, serving as a critical reference point for developing novel immunotherapeutic methods. Cold stress (CS) severely affects several physiological, biochemical, and molecular mechanisms and limits the growth and production of rapeseed (Brassica napus L.). Trehalose (Tre) acts as a growth modulator, which is extensively used to improve the tolerance to multiple plant stresses. Further, Tre also serves as an external force in inducing plant signaling molecules, regulating the expression of stress-responsive genes, and enhancing the CS tolerance in plants. Nevertheless, the importance of exogenous Tre in improving the CS tolerance in rapeseed is still unclear. Therefore, the current study was designed to get mechanistic insights into Tre-mediated CS tolerance in rapeseed seedlings. To explore the Tre role, we designed four treatments [control (CK), CK + 20 mM L–1 Tre, Cold, and Cold + 20 mM L–1 Tre] and three CS conditions (4, 0, and −4°C). The results showed that Tre treatments significantly mitigated the adverse effects of CS on the seedlings and increased the survival rate of Tre-treated seedlings under CS conditions. The exogenous Tre dramatically increased the contents of osmoprotectants, including the soluble sugar (SS), soluble protein (SP), and proline (Pro), and the activities of antioxidant enzymes, such as catalase (CAT), peroxidase (POD), superoxide dismutase (SOD), and ascorbate peroxidase (APX) were also increased under CS conditions. Additionally, Tre decreased the malondialdehyde (MDA) contents to protect the rapeseed seedlings. Moreover, Tre also remarkably augmented the expression levels of antioxidant genes (CAT12, POD34 , and FSD7), CS-responsive marker genes (CBF1, CBF2, CBF4, COR6.6, COR15, COR25, COL1 , and KIN1), and Tre-biosynthesis genes (TPS4, TPS8 , and TPS9). Background: BRCA1/2 mutation carriers are suggested with regular breast cancer surveillance screening strategies using mammography with supplementary MRI as an adjunct tool in Western countries. From a cost-effectiveness perspective, however, the benefits of screening modalities remain controversial among different mutated genes and screening schedules. Methods: We searched the MEDLINE/PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Scopus, and Web of Science databases to collect and compare the results of different cost-effectiveness analyses. A simulated model was used to predict the impact of screening strategies in the target group on cost, life-year gained, quality-adjusted life years, and incremental cost-effectiveness ratio (ICER). Results: Nine cost-effectiveness studies were included. Combined mammography and MRI strategy is cost-effective in BRCA1 mutation carriers for the middle-aged group (age 35 to 54). BRCA2 mutation carriers are less likely to benefit from adjunct MRI screening, which implies that mammography alone would be sufficient from a cost-effectiveness perspective, regardless of dense breast cancer. Conclusions: Precision screening strategies among BRCA1/2 mutation carriers should be conducted according to the acceptable ICER, i.e., a combination of mammography and MRI for BRCA1 mutation carriers and mammography alone for BRCA2 mutation carriers. Tumour lysis syndrome (TLS) represents a group of fatal metabolic derangements resulting from the rapid breakdown of tumour cells. TLS typically occurs soon after the administration of chemotherapy in haematologic malignancies but is rarely observed in solid tumours. Here, we report a case of brigatinib-induced TLS after treatment with sequential anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) inhibitors in a patient with advanced ALK -rearranged lung adenocarcinoma. The patient was treated sequentially with crizotinib, alectinib, and ensartinib. High-throughput molecular profiling after disease progression indicated that brigatinib may overcome ALK resistance mutations, so the patient was administered brigatinib as the fourth-line treatment. After 22 days of therapy, he developed oliguria, fever, and progressive dyspnoea. Clinical manifestations and laboratory findings met the diagnostic criteria for TLS. The significant decrease in the abundance of ALK mutations in plasma indicated a therapeutic response at the molecular level. Consequently, the diagnosis of brigatinib-induced TLS was established. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case of TLS induced by sequential targeted therapy in non-small cell lung cancer. With the extensive application of sequential therapy with more potent next-generation targeted therapeutic drugs, special attention should be given to this rare but severe complication. COF-DL229 is one of the promising sorbents for the capture of volatile radioiodine due to its large adsorption capacity. However, the interaction mechanism between them remains unclear. In the present work, the adsorption of volatile iodine onto COF-DL229 was systematically investigated using periodic density functional theory and crystal orbital Hamilton population calculations. The "soft" characters of COF-DL229 have been theoretically demonstrated. Furthermore, the adsorption energies are extremely large (−8.38 to −9.26 eV), which mainly originate from the framework deformation energies, accounting for 90% at least. The I2 interacts with the skeleton mainly through the N atoms of the imine linkers or the C atoms of the phenyl rings. And, the I–N bond is the strongest bond among all the potential secondary bonds formed between the skeleton and I2. The electrons could be transferred from the skeletons to the iodine atoms and from the near iodine atom to the far one. It is also found that the energy gap becomes narrow after iodine adsorption and the skeletons mainly interact with the bonding orbital σp of I2. The present work could provide reasonable theoretical explanations to the corresponding experimental investigations and contribute to the design and screening of better sorbents for the capture of volatile radioiodine. A proportion of up to 10% of breast cancer resulted from hereditary germline pathogenic variants (GPVs) in cancer predisposition genes (CPGs), which been demonstrated distinct clinical features and imaging manifestations. However, the performance of imaging modalities for breast cancer surveillance in CPG mutation-carriers is still unclear, especially in Asian women. A population of 3002 breast cancer patients who received germline genetic testing of CPGs was enrolled from three hospitals in China. In total, 343 (11.6%) patients were found to harbor GPVs in CPGs, including 137 (4.6%) in BRCA1 and 135 (4.6%) in BRCA2. We compared the performances of ultrasound, mammograms, MRI, and the combining strategies in CPG mutation carriers and non-carriers. As a result, the ultrasound showed a higher detection rate compared with mammograms regardless of the mutation status. However, its detection rate was lower in CPG mutation carriers than in non-carriers (93.2% vs 98.0%, P =2.1×10-4), especially in the BRCA1 mutation carriers (90.9% vs 98.0%, P =2.0×10-4). MRI presented the highest sensitivity (98.5%) and the lowest underestimation rate (14.5%) in CPG mutation carriers among ultrasound, mammograms, and their combination. Supplemental ultrasound or mammograms would add no significant value to MRI for detecting breast cancer (P >0.05). In multivariate logistic regression analysis, the family or personal cancer history could not replace the mutation status as the impact factor for the false-negative result and underestimation. Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide, and its occurrence is related to the accumulation of gene mutations and immune escape of the tumor. Sequencing of the T-cell receptor (TCR) repertoire can reveal the immunosurveillance status of the tumor microenvironment, which is related to tumor escape and immunotherapy. This study aimed to determine the characteristics and clinical significance of the TCR repertoire in lung cancer. To comprehensively profile the TCR repertoire, results from high-throughput sequencing of samples from 93 Chinese patients with lung cancer were analyzed. We found that the TCR clonality of tissues was related to smoking, with higher clonality in patients who had quit smoking for less than 1 year. As expected, TCR clonality was correlated with stages: patients with stage IV disease showed higher clonality than others. The correlation between TCR repertoire and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) status was also investigated. Patients with EGFR non-L858R mutations showed higher clonality and a lower Shannon index than other groups, including patients with EGFR L858R mutation and wild-type EGFR. Furthermore, we analyzed the TCR similarity metrics—that is, the TCR shared between postoperative peripheral blood and tissue of patients with non-distant metastasis of lung cancer. A similar trend was found, in which patients with EGFR L858R mutations had lower overlap index (OLI) and Morisita index (MOI) scores. Moreover, the OLI showed a positive correlation with several clinical characteristics, including the tumor mutational burden of tissues and the maximum somatic allele frequency of blood; OLI showed a negative correlation with the ratio of CD4+CD28+ in CD4+ cells and the ratio of CD8+CD28+ in CD8+ cells. In conclusion, TCR clonality and TCR similarity metrics correlated with clinical characteristics of patients with lung cancer. Differences in TCR clonality, Shannon index, and OLI across EGFR subtypes provide information to improve understanding about varied responses to immunotherapy in patients with different EGFR mutations. Here, we developed an expedient access route to highly functionalized pyrroles from readily available α-amino acid ester hydrochlorides and alkynals via a cascade condensation/intramolecular cyclization followed by a unique C–N ester migration process. The k-prototypes algorithm is a hybrid clustering algorithm that can process Categorical Data and Numerical Data. In this study, the method of initial Cluster Center selection was improved and a new Hybrid Dissimilarity Coefficient was proposed. Based on the proposed Hybrid Dissimilarity Coefficient, a weighted k-prototype clustering algorithm based on the hybrid dissimilarity coefficient was proposed (WKPCA). The proposed WKPCA algorithm not only improves the selection of initial Cluster Centers, but also puts a new method to calculate the dissimilarity between data objects and Cluster Centers. The formation and characterization of positively surface charged TiN surfaces were investigated for improving dental implant survival. Surface nitrogen atoms of a traditional TiN implant were converted to a positive charge by a quaternization reaction which greatly increased the antibacterial efficiency. Ti, TiN, and quaternized TiN samples were incubated with human patient subgingival bacteria for 4 hours at 37 °C in an anaerobic environment with an approximate 40% reduction in counts on the quaternized surface over traditional Ti and TiN. The samples were challenged with Streptococcus Mutans and fluorescent imaging confirmed significant reduction in the quaternized TiN over the traditional Ti and TiN. Contact angle measurement and X‐Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) were utilized to confirm the surface chemistry changes. The construction of novel heterojunctions is precisely deemed to be an effective strategy to facilitate photo-generated carrier separation and boost charge utilization efficiency, leading to much enhanced photocatalytic activities. Herein, in situ of growing ultrafine SnS2 nanoparticles on a porous g-C3N4 sheet (SnS2/g-C3N4) 0D/2D heterojunction was achieved via a low-temperature solvothermal process. Combined with various characterization techniques, it is revealed that SnS2 dots with a diameter of 3 nm distribute evenly on the surface of the g-C3N4 substrate with strong C–S bonds. The photocatalytic activities are evaluated by the degradation of Rhodamine B (RhB) under visible light irradiation, showing a much enhanced photodegradation efficiency of 96.8% over 105 min irradiation and an enhanced reaction rate constant (k = 3.3% min−1, 8.25 and 8.05 times that of pure g-C3N4 and SnS2). The improved photocatalytic activities could be ascribed to the efficient electron–hole separation of porous g-C3N4, which is caused by the ultrafine SnS2 dots linked with the g-C3N4 substrate through C–S bonds. Therefore, the recombination efficiency is decreased. In addition, reactive active species trapping experiments prove that the superoxide radical (ṖO2−) and holes (h+) are the main active species in this photocatalytic system. Superoxide dismutase (SOD) is an important enzyme that acts as the first line of protection in the plant antioxidant defense system, involved in eliminating reactive oxygen species (ROS) under harsh environmental conditions. Nevertheless, the SOD gene family was yet to be reported in rapeseed (Brassica napus L.). Thus, a genome-wide investigation was carried out to identify the rapeseed SOD genes. The present study recognized 31 BnSOD genes in the rapeseed genome, including 14 BnCSDs, 11 BnFSDs, and six BnMSDs. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that SOD genes from rapeseed and other closely related plant species were clustered into three groups based on the binding domain with high bootstrap values. The systemic analysis exposed that BnSODs experienced segmental duplications. Gene structure and motif analysis specified that most of the BnSOD genes displayed a relatively well-maintained exon–intron and motif configuration within the same group. Moreover, we identified five hormones and four stress- and several light-responsive cis-elements in the promoters of BnSODs. Thirty putative bna-miRNAs from seven families were also predicted, targeting 13 BnSODs. Gene ontology annotation outcomes confirm the BnSODs role under different stress stimuli, cellular oxidant detoxification processes, metal ion binding activities, SOD activity, and different cellular components. Twelve BnSOD genes exhibited higher expression profiles in numerous developmental tissues, i.e., root, leaf, stem, and silique. The qRT-PCR based expression profiling showed that eight genes (BnCSD1, BnCSD3, BnCSD14, BnFSD4, BnFSD5, BnFSD6, BnMSD2, and BnMSD10) were significantly up-regulated under different hormones (ABA, GA, IAA, and KT) and abiotic stress (salinity, cold, waterlogging, and drought) treatments. The predicted 3D structures discovered comparable conserved BnSOD protein structures. Developing electrode materials with high energy and power densities holds the key for satisfying the urgent demand for energy storage. Addressing at this issue, we herein report a nanophase MnV 2 O 4 material as a novel anode material for lithium-ion batteries. Nanoscale V 2 O 3 precursor was employed as raw material and successfully limited the diameter of the MnV 2 O 4 particles. Nanoscale MnV 2 O 4 with carbon coating behaves an ideal electrochemical performance, and its initial capacity and Coulombic efficiency are 736.9 mAh g−1 under 50 mA g−1 and of 83.17%, respectively. Besides, the MnV 2 O 4 also shows the high lithium-ion storage capacity and excellent cycling stability under high current density, indicating potential application in energy storage devices. • The application of MnV 2 O 4 particles are extended as a novel anode for lithium-ion batteries. • Precursor-based strucutural regulation. The β-amylase (BAM) gene family, known for their property of catalytic ability to hydrolyze starch to maltose units, has been recognized to play critical roles in metabolism and gene regulation. To date, BAM genes have not been characterized in oil crops. In this study, the genome-wide survey revealed the identification of 30 BnaBAM genes in Brassica napus L. (B. napus L.), 11 BraBAM genes in Brassica rapa L. (B. rapa L.), and 20 BoBAM genes in Brassica oleracea L. (B. oleracea L.), which were divided into four subfamilies according to the sequence similarity and phylogenetic relationships. All the BAM genes identified in the allotetraploid genome of B. napus, as well as two parental-related species (B. rapa and B. oleracea), were analyzed for the gene structures, chromosomal distribution and collinearity. The sequence alignment of the core glucosyl-hydrolase domains was further applied, demonstrating six candidate β-amylase (BnaBAM1, BnaBAM3.1-3.4 and BnaBAM5) and 25 β-amylase-like proteins. The current results also showed that 30 BnaBAMs, 11 BraBAMs and 17 BoBAMs exhibited uneven distribution on chromosomes of Brassica L. crops. The similar structural compositions of BAM genes in the same subfamily suggested that they were relatively conserved. Abiotic stresses pose one of the significant constraints to plant growth and productivity worldwide. Thus, the responsiveness of BnaBAM genes under abiotic stresses was analyzed in B. napus. The expression patterns revealed a stress-responsive behaviour of all members, of which BnaBAM3s were more prominent. These differential expression patterns suggested an intricate regulation of BnaBAMs elicited by environmental stimuli. Altogether, the present study provides first insights into the BAM gene family of Brassica crops, which lays the foundation for investigating the roles of stress-responsive BnaBAM candidates in B. napus.
