The article discusses the development and implementation of the Tool for Integrated Planning and Costing (TIPAC) by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to support neglected tropical disease (NTD) control programs. The TIPAC is a planning and costing instrument designed to help NTD programs accurately determine the cost of program implementation and identify funding gaps. The article presents data collected from four countries (Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Nepal, and Haiti) to assess the feasibility and effectiveness of the TIPAC in informing decision-making and integrating program activities. The TIPAC was found to be useful in estimating costs, quantifying resources, identifying funding gaps, and facilitating coordination and planning of NTD programs. [Extracted from the article]
