Abstract Highly forbidden $$\beta $$ β decays provide a sensitive test to nuclear models in a regime in which the decay goes through high spin-multipole states, similar to the neutrinoless double- $$\beta $$ β decay process. There are only 3 nuclei (50V, 113Cd, 115In) which undergo a $$4^\textrm{th}$$ 4 th forbidden non-unique $$\beta $$ β decay. In this work, we compare the experimental 113Cd spectrum to theoretical spectral shapes in the framework of the spectrum-shape method. We measured with high precision, with the lowest energy threshold and the best energy resolution ever, the $$\beta $$ β spectrum of 113Cd embedded in a 0.43 kg $$\hbox {CdWO}_4$$ CdWO 4 crystal, operated over 26 days as a bolometer at low temperature in the Canfranc underground laboratory (Spain). We performed a Bayesian fit of the experimental data to three nuclear models (IBFM-2, MQPM and NSM) allowing the reconstruction of the spectral shape as well as the half-life. The fit has two free parameters, one of which is the effective weak axial-vector coupling constant, $$g_A^{\text {eff}}$$ g A eff , which resulted in $$g_A^{\text {eff}}$$ g A eff between 1.0 and 1.2, compatible with a possible quenching. Based on the fit, we measured the half-life of the 113Cd $$\beta $$ β decay including systematic uncertainties as $$7.73^{+0.60}_{-0.57} \times 10^{15}$$ 7 . 73 - 0.57 + 0.60 × 10 15 yr, in agreement with the previous experiments. These results represent a significant step towards a better understanding of low-energy nuclear processes.

Abstract Purpose For the first time, three currently available 360° CZT-SPECT/CT cameras were compared under clinical conditions using phantom-based measurements. Methods A 99mTc- and a 177Lu-customized NEMA IEC body phantom were imaged with three different cameras, StarGuide (GE Healthcare), VERITON-CT versions 200 (V200) and 400 (V400) (Spectrum Dynamics Medical) under the same clinical conditions. Energy resolution and volumetric sensitivity were evaluated from energy spectra. Vendors provided the best reconstruction parameters dedicated to visualization and/or quantification, based on their respective software developments. For both 99mTc- and 177Lu-phantoms, noise level, quantification accuracy, and recovery coefficient (RC) were performed with 3DSlicer. Image quality metrics from an approach called “task-based” were computed with iQMetrix-CT on 99mTc visual reconstructions to assess, through spatial frequencies, noise texture in the background (NPS) and contrast restitution of a hot insert (TTF). Spatial resolution indices were calculated from frequencies corresponding to TTF10% and TTF50%. Results Despite the higher sensitivity of VERITON cameras and the enhanced energy resolution of the V400 (3.2% at 140 keV, 5.2% at 113 keV, and 3.6% at 208 keV), StarGuide presents comparable image quality. This highlights the need to differentiate sensitivity from count quality, which is influenced by hardware design (collimator, detector block) and conditions image quality as well as the reconstruction process (algorithms, scatter correction, noise regulation). For 99mTc imaging, the quantitative image optimization approach based on RCmean for StarGuide versus RCmax for V200 and V400 systems (RCmean/RCmax: 0.9/1.8; 0.5/0.9; 0.5/0.9 respectively—Ø37 mm). SRTB10/50 showed nearly equivalent spatial resolution performances across the different reconstructed images. For 177Lu imaging, the 113 keV imaging of the V200 and V400 systems demonstrated strong performances in both image quality and quantification, while StarGuide and V400 systems offer even better potential due to their ability to exploit signals from both the 113 and 208 keV peaks. 177Lu quantification was optimized according to RCmax for all cameras and reconstructions (1.07 ± 0.09—Ø37 mm). Conclusions The three cameras have equivalent potential for 99mTc imaging, while StarGuide and V400 have demonstrated higher potential for 177Lu. Dedicated visual or quantitative reconstructions offer better specific performances compared to the unified visual/quantitative reconstruction. The task-based approach appears to be promising for in-depth comparison of images in the context of system characterization/comparison and protocol optimization.

Abstract Relapse after immunosuppression (IS) treatment withdrawal is frequent in patients with Autoimmune Hepatitis (AIH), and non-invasive biomarkers predictive of this risk are lacking. We assessed the frequency of circulating T cell subsets as potential biomarkers of disease activity and predictor of the risk of relapse after IS withdrawal. Serum levels of the cytokine B-cell Activating Factor (BAFF) were also investigated. Blood samples from 58 patients with active AIH, 56 AIH patients in remission, and 31 patients with NASH were analyzed. The frequency of activated CD4+ T peripheral helper (TPH) cells (CD4+CD45RA-CXCR5-PD1+CD38+) and of activated CD8+ T cells (CD8+CD45RA-PD1+CD38+) were assessed by flow cytometry. BAFF levels were determined by ELISA. Activated TPH and CD8+ T cell frequencies were significantly increased in patients with active AIH compared to remission AIH or NASH (TPH: 0.88% of total CD3+ vs. 0.42% and 0.39% respectively, p 0.5% of total CD3+) and/or activated CD8+ T cells (> 0.18% total CD3+) had a higher risk of relapse (80% vs. 15% after 2 years, p = 0.0071). High BAFF serum concentration (> 213pg/ml) was also associated to a higher risk of relapse (57% vs. 11%, p = 0.0452). In conclusion, high frequency of activated TPH and of activated CD8+, as well as high levels of BAFF, before IS discontinuation, were significantly associated to a greater risk of relapse during the first two years. Thus, they represent promising biomarkers to provide personalized clinical follow-up for patients with AIH.

Abstract The current experiments searching for neutrinoless double- $$\beta $$ β ( $$0\nu \beta \beta $$ 0 ν β β ) decay also collect large statistics of Standard Model allowed two-neutrino double- $$\beta $$ β ( $$2\nu \beta \beta $$ 2 ν β β ) decay events. These can be used to search for Beyond Standard Model (BSM) physics via $$2\nu \beta \beta $$ 2 ν β β decay spectral distortions. 100Mo has a natural advantage due to its relatively short half-life, allowing higher $$2\nu \beta \beta $$ 2 ν β β decay statistics at equal exposures compared to the other isotopes. We demonstrate the potential of the dual read-out bolometric technique exploiting a 100Mo exposure of 1.47 kg $$\times $$ × years, acquired in the CUPID-Mo experiment at the Modane underground laboratory (France). We set limits on $$0\nu \beta \beta $$ 0 ν β β decays with the emission of one or more Majorons, on $$2\nu \beta \beta $$ 2 ν β β decay with Lorentz violation, and $$2\nu \beta \beta $$ 2 ν β β decay with a sterile neutrino emission. In this analysis, we investigate the systematic uncertainty induced by modeling the $$2\nu \beta \beta $$ 2 ν β β decay spectral shape parameterized through an improved model, an effect never considered before. This work motivates searches for BSM processes in the upcoming CUPID experiment, which will collect the largest amount of $$2\nu \beta \beta $$ 2 ν β β decay events among the next-generation experiments.

14. ChatGPT for Learning HCI Techniques: A Case Study on Interviews for Personas

Before interacting with real users, developers must be proficient in human--computer interaction (HCI) so as not to exhaust user patience and availability. For that, substantial training and practice are required, but it is costly to create a variety of high-quality HCI training materials. In this context, chat generative pretrained transformer (ChatGPT) and other chatbots based on large language models (LLMs) offer an opportunity to generate training materials of acceptable quality without foregoing specific human characteristics present in real-world scenarios. Personas is a user-centered design method that encompasses fictitious but believable user archetypes to help designers understand and empathize with their target audience during product design. We conducted an exploratory study on the Personas technique, addressing the validity and believability of interviews designed by HCI trainers and answered by ChatGPT-simulated users, which can be used as training material for persona creation. Specifically, we employed ChatGPT to respond to interviews designed by user experience (UX) experts. Two groups, HCI professors and professionals, then evaluated the validity of the generated materials considering quality, usefulness, UX, and ethics. The results show that both groups rated the interviews as believable and helpful for Personas training. However, some concerns about response repetition and low response variability suggested the need for further research on improved prompt design in order to generate more diverse and well-developed responses. The findings of this study provide insight into how HCI trainers can use ChatGPT to help their students master persona creation skills before working with real users in real-world scenarios for the first time.

Abstract Background Dengue fever remains a significant public health challenge in tropical and subtropical regions, with its transmission dynamics being influenced by both environmental factors and human mobility. The Dominican Republic, a biodiversity hotspot in the Caribbean, has experienced recurrent dengue outbreaks, yet detailed understanding of the virus's transmission pathways and the impact of climatic factors remains limited. This study aims to elucidate the recent transmission dynamics of the dengue virus (DENV) in the Dominican Republic, utilizing a combination of genomic sequencing and epidemiological data analysis, alongside an examination of historical climate patterns. Methods We conducted a comprehensive study involving the genomic sequencing of DENV samples collected from patients across different regions of the Dominican Republic over a two-year period. Phylogenetic analyses were performed to identify the circulation of DENV lineages and to trace transmission pathways. Epidemiological data were integrated to analyze trends in dengue incidence and distribution. Additionally, we integrated historical climate data spanning several decades to assess trends in temperature and their potential impact on DENV transmission potential. Results Our results highlight a previously unknown north–south transmission pathway within the country, with the co-circulation of multiple virus lineages. Additionally, we examine the historical climate data, revealing long-term trends towards higher theoretical potential for dengue transmission due to rising temperatures. Conclusion This multidisciplinary study reveals intricate patterns of dengue virus transmission in the Dominican Republic, characterized by the co-circulation of multiple DENV lineages and a novel transmission pathway. The observed correlation between rising temperatures and increased dengue transmission potential emphasizes the need for integrated climate-informed strategies in dengue control efforts. Our findings offer critical insights for public health authorities in the Dominican Republic and similar settings, guiding resource allocation and the development of preparedness strategies to mitigate the impacts of climate change on dengue transmission.

The power of logarithmic quantizations and computations has been recognized as a useful tool in optimizing the performance of large ML models. There are plenty of applications of ML techniques in digital preservation. The accuracy of computations may play a crucial role in the corresponding algorithms. In this article, we provide results that demonstrate significantly better quantization signal-to-noise ratio performance thanks to multiple-base logarithmic number systems (MDLNS) in comparison with the floating point quantizations that use the same number of bits. On a hardware level, we present details about our Xilinx VCU-128 FPGA design for dot product and matrix vector computations. The MDLNS matrix-vector design significantly outperforms equivalent fixed-point binary designs in terms of area (A) and time (T) complexity and power consumption as evidenced by a 4 × scaling of AT 2 metric for VLSI performance, and 57% increase in computational throughput per watt compared to fixed-point arithmetic.

Abstract In a retrospective study, 54 patients with treatment-resistant major depressive disorder (TRD) completed a free-viewing task in which they had to freely explore pairs of faces (an emotional face (happy or sad) opposite to a neutral face). Attentional bias to emotional faces was calculated for early and sustained attention. We observed a significant negative correlation between depression severity as measured by the 10-item Montgomery-Åsberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS) and sustained attention to happy faces. In addition, we observed a positive correlation between depression severity and sustained attention to sad faces. No significant correlation between depression severity and early attention was found for either happy or sad faces. Although conclusions from the current study are limited by the lack of comparison with a control group, the eye-tracking free-viewing task appears to be a relevant, accessible and easy-to-use tool for measuring depression severity through emotional attentional biases in TRD.

Background: Hepatic encephalopathy (HE) is highly prevalent in patients with liver diseases. The pathophysiology of HE is centered on the synergic role of hyperammonemia and systemic inflammation. However, some data suggest altered functioning of the blood–brain barrier (BBB). Assessing BBB function is challenging in clinical practice and at the bedside. Protein-S-100 Beta (PS100-Beta) could be a useful peripheral marker of BBB permeability in HE. This study aimed to assess plasmatic PS100-Beta levels in a prospective cohort of patients admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) with decompensated cirrhosis with and without overt HE. Methods: We retrospectively evaluated a prospective cohort of cirrhotic patients admitted to the ICU from October 2013 to September 2015 that had an available plasmatic PS100-Beta measurement. Patients with previous neurological impairment or limitation of intensive or resuscitative measures were excluded. Overt HE was defined as West-Haven grades 2 to 4. The patients were compared to a control cohort of outpatient clinic cirrhotic and non-cirrhotic patients explored for isolated elevation of liver enzymes. After ICU discharge, the patients were followed for at least 3 months for the occurrence of overt HE. Adverse outcomes (liver transplantation or death) were collected. The ability of PS100-Beta – in combination with other factors – to predict overt HE was evaluated in a multivariate analysis using logistic regression. Likelihood ratios were used to determine the effects and calculate odds ratios (OR). Survival analysis was performed by using the Kaplan–Meier method and survival between groups was compared using a Log-rank test. Results: A total of 194 ICU patients and 207 outpatients were included in the study. Leishmania major is responsible for zoonotic cutaneous leishmaniasis. Therapy is mainly based on the use of antimony-based drugs; however, treatment failures and illness relapses were reported. Although studies were developed to understand mechanisms of drug resistance, the interactions of resistant parasites with their reservoir hosts and vectors remain poorly understood. Here we compared the development of two L. major MON-25 trivalent antimony-resistant lines, selected by a stepwise in vitro Sb(III)-drug pressure, to their wild-type parent line in the natural vector Phlebotomus papatasi. The intensity of infection, parasite location and morphological forms were compared by microscopy. Parasite growth curves and IC50 values have been determined before and after the passage in Ph. papatasi. qPCR was used to assess the amplification rates of some antimony-resistance gene markers. In the digestive tract of sand flies, Sb(III)-resistant lines developed similar infection rates as the wild-type lines during the early-stage infections, but significant differences were observed during the late-stage of the infections. Thus, on day 7 p. i., resistant lines showed lower representation of heavy infections with colonization of the stomodeal valve and lower percentage of metacyclic promastigote forms in comparison to wild-type strains. Observed differences between both resistant lines suggest that the level of Sb(III)-resistance negatively correlates with the quality of the development in the vector. Nevertheless, both resistant lines developed mature infections with the presence of infective metacyclic forms in almost half of infected sandflies. The passage of parasites through the sand fly guts does not significantly influence their capacity to multiply in vitro. The IC50 values and molecular analysis of antimony-resistance genes showed that the resistant phenotype of Sb(III)-resistant parasites is maintained after passage through the sand fly. Sb(III)-resistant lines of L. major MON-25 were able to produce mature infections in Ph. papatasi suggesting a possible circulation in the field using this vector.

Eighteen high-grade glioma patients underwent two L-3,4-dihydroxy-6-[18F]-fluoro-phenylalanine positron emission tomography (PET) dynamic scans: the first during treatment and the second at temozolomide chemotherapy discontinuation. Radiomics features from static/dynamic parametric images, alongside conventional features, were extracted. After excluding highly correlated features, 16 different models were trained by combining various feature selection methods and time-to-event survival algorithms. Performance was assessed using cross-validation. To evaluate model robustness, an additional dataset including 35 patients with a single PET scan at therapy discontinuation was used. Model performance was compared with a strategy extracting informative features from the set of 35 patients and applying them to the 18 patients with 2 PET scans. Delta-absolute radiomics achieved the highest performance when the pipeline was directly applied to the 18-patient subset (support vector machine (SVM) and recursive feature elimination (RFE): C-index = 0.783 [0.744–0.818]). This result remained consistent when transferring informative features from 35 patients (SVM + RFE: C-index = 0.751 [0.716–0.784], p = 0.06). Abstract Background Although moderate physical activity (PA) during cancer treatment has been associated with improved quality of life, reduced side effects, and even lower mortality, many barriers to successful implementation remain. Digital technology has been perceived as an effective lever for overcoming access and motivational issues but few studies have been performed to confirm this assumption. The “VISIO-AJUST” study explored the factors affecting the conditions of adherence to video-conference-based PA programs in patients undergoing cancer treatment. Methods The VISIO-AJUST study was based on a qualitative successive case approach, guided by the principles of the realist evaluation, and applied to two French programs of PA, following three main steps: (1) Identification of factors likely to influence conditions of patients’ adherence; (2) Elaboration and testing of explanatory “Context-Mechanism-Outcome (CMO)” configurations; (3) Refinement of CMO configurations, in order to understand what, how, for whom, and under what circumstances video-conference-based PA programs work. Results Five main CMO configurations were found to be associated with adherence to video-conferencing-based PA programs, promoting (i) accessibility and a supportive environment for adapted physical activity, (ii) a setting conducive to sociability despite distance, (iii) Confidence and security of practice, (iv) a combination of several motivational levers in favor of continuity of effort and progress, (v) regularity of the sessions, progressiveness in the effort and evaluation of progress as a basis for the adoption of a regular physical practice. Conclusion This study provides original insights into the use of videoconferencing to enable patients to improve their PA during cancer treatment. Future research with long-term follow-up would allow for a better understanding of the key conditions promoting sustainable behavior change.

Background: COVID-19 is primarily known as a respiratory illness; however, many patients present to hospital without respiratory symptoms. The association between non-respiratory presentations of COVID-19 and outcomes remains unclear. We investigated risk factors and clinical outcomes in patients with no respiratory symptoms (NRS) and respiratory symptoms (RS) at hospital admission. Methods: This study describes clinical features, physiological parameters, and outcomes of hospitalised COVID-19 patients, stratified by the presence or absence of respiratory symptoms at hospital admission. RS patients had one or more of: cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, runny nose or wheezing; while NRS patients did not. Results: Of 178,640 patients in the study, 86.4 % presented with RS, while 13.6 % had NRS. NRS patients were older (median age: NRS: 74 vs RS: 65) and less likely to be admitted to the ICU (NRS: 36.7 % vs RS: 37.5 %). NRS patients had a higher crude in-hospital case-fatality ratio (NRS 41.1 % vs. RS 32.0 %), but a lower risk of death after adjusting for confounders (HR 0.88 [0.83–0.93]). Conclusion: Approximately one in seven COVID-19 patients presented at hospital admission without respiratory symptoms. These patients were older, had lower ICU admission rates, and had a lower risk of in-hospital mortality after adjusting for confounders.

Lewis' acceptance of Christianity raises questions about the nature of the relationship between these two fundamental elements of his philosophical evolution: joy and imagination. In this article, we aim to clarify this aspect of Lewis' intellectual and spiritual life by considering his philosophical development. The essential relationship between joy and imagination becomes clear only if we consider Lewis' intellectual journey from Atheism to Idealism and then to Christian theism. In this article, we consider Lewis' intellectual development from the moment he adopted his own version of subjective idealism.

Cell culture devices, such as microwells and microfluidic chips, are designed to increase the complexity of cell-based models while retaining control over culture conditions and have become indispensable platforms for biological systems modelling. From microtopography, microwells, plating devices, and microfluidic systems to larger constructs such as live imaging chamber slides, a wide variety of culture devices with different geometries have become indispensable in biology laboratories. However, while their application in biological projects is increasing exponentially, due to a combination of the techniques, equipment and tools required for their manufacture, and the expertise necessary, biological and biomedical labs tend more often to rely on already made devices. Indeed, commercially developed devices are available for a variety of applications but are often costly and, importantly, lack the potential for customisation by each individual lab. The last point is quite crucial, as often experiments in wet labs are adapted to whichever design is already available rather than designing and fabricating custom systems that perfectly fit the biological question. This combination of factors still restricts widespread application of microfabricated custom devices in most biological wet labs. Capitalising on recent advances in bioengineering and microfabrication aimed at solving these issues, and taking advantage of low-cost, high-resolution desktop resin 3D printers combined with PDMS soft lithography, we have developed an optimised a low-cost and highly reproducible microfabrication pipeline. This is thought specifically for biomedical and biological wet labs with not prior experience in the field, which will enable them to generate a wide variety of customisable devices for cell culture and tissue engineering in an easy, fast reproducible way for a fraction of the cost of conventional microfabrication or commercial alternatives. This protocol is designed specifically to be a resource for biological labs with limited expertise in those techniques and enables the manufacture of complex devices across the μm to cm scale. We provide a ready-to-go pipeline for the efficient treatment of resin-based 3D-printed constructs for PDMS curing, using a combination of polymerisation steps, washes, and surface treatments. Together with the extensive characterisation of the fabrication pipeline, we show the utilisation of this system to a variety of applications and use cases relevant to biological experiments, ranging from micro topographies for cell alignments to complex multipart hydrogel culturing systems. This methodology can be easily adopted by any wet lab, irrespective of prior expertise or resource availability and will enable the wide adoption of tailored microfabricated devices across many fields of biology.

Intrinsic and extrinsic aging affect the health of human skin. Extracellular matrix protein degradation, DNA damage and oxidative stress are known to disturb skin architecture and skin homeostasis leading to skin aging. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) delivers a large amount of knowledge regarding the phytotherapeutic power of diverse plants. Panax ginseng, Polygonatum cyrtonema, Epiphyllum oxypetalum, Nelumbo nucifera and Osmanthus fragrans are five plants used in TCM for their protective effect. In this study, several combinations of these TCM plants were explored: first, an in silico analysis was performed to predict their potential to target biological activities in the skin and then, some predictions were verified with in vitro studies to underline the synergistic effect of plant extracts. The results showed a stronger anti-aging activity for the combination with the five plants compared to the combination with Panax ginseng, Polygonatum cyrtonema, Epiphyllum oxypetalum and, compared to Panax ginseng alone.

This is the Final Report of the study on "Promoting education, training and skills across the bioeconomy" conducted by Deloitte, Empirica and Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini Srl SB (FGB), mandated by the European Commission's DG Research & innovation (DG RTD). The study assesses the current and future (2030 and 2050) needs for professional profiles and skills, bringing together a quantitative forecast exercise and a qualitative 'foresight' activity, which incorporates expert insights on the future of the bioeconomy. This assessment is compared against the current education and training provision in the bioeconomy at three levels: higher education, vocational education and training, and entrepreneurship training. This comparison highlights key unmet training needs that need to be addressed to realise the opportunities that the bioeconomy can provide in the future. Recommendations are provided for each of the education levels to address these skills needs, including model curricula which draw on case studies of good practices. These recommendations cover both the content of model curricula, as well as approaches to developing and updating programmes to meet the changing needs of the bioeconomy. The bioeconomy, as a catalyst for systemic change, tackles the economic, social and environmental aspects of the European Green Deal, seeking new ways of producing and consuming resources while respecting our planet's limits and moving away from a linear economy based on extensive use of fossil and mineral resources. As defined in the European Commission's updated Bioeconomy Strategy of 2018, the bioeconomy covers "all sectors and systems that rely on biological resources (animals, plants, micro-organisms and derived biomass, including organic waste), their functions and principles. It includes and interlinks land and marine ecosystems and the services they provide; all primary production sectors that use and produce biological resources; and all economic and industrial sectors that use biological resources and processes to produce food, feed, bio-based products, energy and services." The transition to a sustainable and circular bioeconomy will be achieved through the five goals of the EU Bioeconomy Strategy: Ensuring food and nutrition security; Managing natural resources sustainably; Reducing dependence on non-renewable, unsustainable resources; Limiting and adapting to climate change; Strengthening European competitiveness and create jobs. This transition presents opportunities for jobs and economic growth. In particular, the Bioeconomy Strategy forecasts that one million new jobs could be created by 2030, supported by the "strong and fast-growing start-up ecosystem in the biotechnology sector". Abstract Background Healthy eating is vital to well-being and during the COVID-19 pandemic, it was especially important for boosting immunity and protecting against viral infections. Yet, by many accounts, keeping a nutritious diet was a casualty of the pandemic rather than a means to fight it. Young adults experienced disproportionate pandemic-related disruptions during a formative stage of development while little is still known about dietary outcomes. Methods We employed a cross-sectional design to examine dietary disparities targeting young adults (ages 18–28) during the COVID-19 lockdown period. Participants (N = 254) responded to a 15–20-min online survey with questions related to food composition and sources of food, perceptions of healthy eating, weight change, physical activity, and food insecurity. Comparisons were made by household income and gender. Multiple regression analyses were conducted to investigate factors that predicted perceptions of healthy eating behaviors while controlling for other sociodemographic factors. Results A clear overall trend toward unhealthy behaviors was found while positive changes were also identified. Consumption of junk food significantly increased (+ 3%), 40% gained weight, a third were less active, and 5–8% were food insecure on a regular basis. Meanwhile, eating food from restaurants declined and, for some, home-based cooking increased. Lower income participants were overly represented in unhealthy changes and higher income participants were disproportionately represented in healthy changes. Males reported more changes in dietary composition while females reported more fluctuation in weight. Reduced activity, weight gain, and food insecurity predicted unhealthy eating behaviors. Living with friend(s)/roommate(s) predicted healthier eating, but only among lower income participants. Conclusions It is recommended that pandemic minded public health interventions account for negative dietary trends with particular attention to low-income young adults. Solutions should be geared toward reshaping fiscal, social and physical environments, rather than relying solely on behavioral interventions.
