Naples has a rich and suggestive artistic, historical and cultural heritage. This characterization makes it one of the most attractive Italian tourist cities. Starting from 2018, the IT.A.CÀ Festival has also been included for two years in the already dense calendar of tourist events of the regional capital of Campania. It is one of the major Italian Festivals aimed at promoting responsible tourism and enhancing local realities. The purpose of this paper is to present the results of an action-research conducted by OUT (University of Naples' Research Center on Tourism) aimed at analyzing the impacts that the Festival has had on Naples. The study involved the main representatives of associations, institutions and local bodies that organized the past Neapolitan editions of IT.A.CÀ. More specifically, using the SWOT analysis tool, the research identified the strengths and opportunities associated with the event, but also the weaknesses and threats, to individuate a number of recommendations for its realization in Naples.

With the arising of environmental problems from the construction sector, the sustainability issues gained more space, making sustainability assessment tools emerge. These tools are based on the global definition of sustainability that meets Environmental, Economic, and Social criteria, and each system has a different and peculiar methodology. This paper aims to analyse the structure adopted by these European sustainability assessment systems: BREAM UK, DGBN (Germany), ITACA (Italy), LiderA (Portugal), and HQE (France), showing an overview of each system assisted by the SWOT Matrix, enabling the reader to better understand their differences. There are no superior or inferior systems, but each system notably performs much better in a subject or goal.

Isolated angioedema, which is a localized, non‐pitting, and transient swelling of the subcutaneous or submucosal tissue not associated with pruritus, urticaria, or anaphylaxis, may be classified, based on genetic pattern and mediators, respectively, as acquired or hereditary and histamine‐ or non‐histamine‐induced. The pediatric population with C1‐INH‐HAE (Hereditary angioedema due to C1‐inhibitor deficiency) is mostly symptomatic. The frequency of symptoms in such a population compared to adults seems to be lower, but we need more prospective data to conclude on this point. The HGR (Hereditary angioedema global registry), which collects symptoms in real time, will probably provide such information. He recognizes his territory, buries his father and accompanies his son in the latter s wedding. Now it is also the point of departure: Odysseus sails from it in a new voyage, perhaps longer than the previous one and with no return. The beloved island remains as such. Introduction: Hereditary angioedema due to C1-inhibitor deficiency is influenced by hormonal factors, with a more severe course of disease in women. Our study aims to deepen the impact of puberty on onset, frequency, location and severity of attacks., Methods: Retrospective data were collected through a semi-structured questionnaire and shared by 10 Italian reference centers of the Italian Network for Hereditary and Acquired Angioedema (ITACA)., Results: The proportion of symptomatic patients increased significantly after puberty (98.2% vs 83.9%, p =0.002 in males; 96.3% vs 68,4%, p <0.001 in females); the monthly mean of acute attacks was significantly higher after puberty, and this occurred both in females (median (IQR) = 0.41(2) in the three years before puberty vs 2(2.17) in the three years after, p <0.001) and in males (1(1.92) vs 1.25(1.56) respectively, p <0.001). The increase was greater in females. No significant differences were detected in attack location before and after puberty., Discussion: Overall, our study confirms previous reports on a more severe phenotype in the female gender. The paper presents a comparison between two different rating systems to evaluate buildings sustainability: LEED (USA) and ITACA (Italy), thanks to the application of both methods to two residential buildings located in Italy. The LEED green building rating system encourages an integrated design approach, with a points scheme that allots credits for building design features deemed to improve sustainability, which includes reductions in energy use, improvements in indoor environment quality, protection of the construction site, reduction in water consumption and use of sustainable materials. ITACA procedure, the environmental quality rating system adopted in Italy, consists of the compilation of a group of worksheets, one for each different performance indicator, at the aim of describing the building environmental quality, including the maintenance of indoor comfort during the entire life cycle. The chosen buildings are located in central Italy; they are both energy efficient and designed according to the principles of bioclimatic architecture, even if they are characterized by different features. Five common areas (site, water, energy, materials, indoor environmental quality) were identified in order to compare the two methods and to normalize their score; this original approach can be transferred also to the comparison of other building environmental assessment tools. The comparison allows to prove the main features of both schemes. Even though the two procedures give different importance to the various areas, the analysis show a proportionality between the respective normalized final score for the two examined buildings. In the last few years in Italy many ground motion prediction equations (hereinafter GMPEs) were calibrated both at national and regional scale using weak and strong motion data recorded in the last 30 years by several networks. Moreover, many of the strongest Italian earthquakes were included in global data sets in order to calibrate GMPEs suitable for the prediction of ground-motion at very large scale. In the last decade, the Sabetta and Pugliese (1996) relationships represented a reference point for ground motion predictions in Italy. At present all Italian strong-motion data, recorded from 1972 by Italian Accelerometric Network, and more recently by other regional networks (e.g., RAIS, Strong motion network of northern Italy), are collected in ITACA (ITalian ACcelerometric Archive). Considering Italian strong-motion data with Mw≥4.0 and distance (Joyner-Boore or epicentral) up to 100 km, new GMPEs were developed by Bindi et al. (2010), aimed at replacing the older Italian relationships. The occurrence of the recent December 23, 2008, Mw 5.4, Parma (northern Italy) earthquake and the April 6, 2009, Mw 6.3, L'Aquila earthquake, allowed us to upgrade the ITACA data set and gave us the possibility of validating the predictive capability of many GMPEs, developed using Italian, European and global data sets. The results are presented in terms of quality of performance (fit between recorded and predicted values) using the maximum likelihood approach as explained in Spudich et al. (1999). Considering the strong-motion data recorded during the L'Aquila sequence, the considered GMPEs on average, overestimate the observed data, showing a dependence of the residuals with distance in particular at higher frequencies. An improvement of fit is obtained comparing all Italian strong-motion data included in ITACA with the European GMPEs calibrated by Akkar and Bommer (2007a, 2007b) and the global models calibrated by Cauzzi and Faccioli (2008). In contrast, the Italian data seem to attenuate faster than the NGA models calibrated by Boore and Atkinson (2008), in particular at higher frequencies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper introduces REXELite, an internet version of REXEL, a software for automatic selection of ground motion suites for nonlinear dynamic analysis of structures. REXELite was developed with the aim of integrating an advanced earthquake records' repository, such as the ITalian ACcelerometric Archive (ITACA), with a tool to define seismic input for engineering seismic analysis according to international standards (with priority to Europe). In fact, REXELite allows to define target design spectra according either to Eurocode 8 or to the Italian building code, and to search ITACA for suitable sets of seven records (comprised of one or two horizontal ground motion components) matching such target spectra: on average, in a user-specified period range, and with the desired tolerance. The records in the set also have, individually and according to some criteria, the most similar spectral shape with respect to that of the code. Selection options include magnitude, source-to-site distance, soil conditions and, if desired, linear scaling of records to reduce further record-to-record variability of the selected suite.
