Intussusception is a rare condition in adults that occurs when a segment of the bowel telescopes into the lumen of the more distal segment. Colocolic intussusception accounts for only 8.3-38% of all intussusception cases in adults, the majority due to malignant causes such as adenocarcinoma, lymphoma, leiomyosarcoma, undifferentiated carcinoma... Lipoma is the most common benign cause, followed by gastrointestinal stromal tumors and adenomatous polyps. Surgery is the recommended treatment for colonic lipoma-induced intussusception. In this report, we describe a rare case of a 52-year-old female patient with colocolic intussusception due to an ascending colon lipoma which was diagnosed by ultrasound and computed tomography.

To meet the increasing societal demands for the quality of childcare education in preschools and the requirements of the new Preschool Education Program, it is essential that the preschool teaching staff undergo comprehensive improvements in both ethical qualities and professional standards. Using theoretical research methods, reading and analyzing legal documents, examining management and autonomy documents, as well as employing synthesis, statistical, and comparative methods, this article focuses on several key areas: an overview of professional development and preschool teacher training; an analysis of the current state of teacher quality, ethics, and professional development of preschool teachers in Thai Binh; and recommendations for renewing the management of professional development activities to improve the quality of education, take care and upbringing of children in preschools in Thai Binh province in the current period.

Time-restricted eating (TRE) is a promising and cost-effective dietary approach for weight management. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of TRE on weight loss in three adult populations using pre- and post-intervention analyses while also investigating its underlying mechanism. A systematic search was conducted across four databases (PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and the CENTRAL) up until January 28, 2024, specifically focusing on prospective studies that examined the efficacy of TRE in achieving weight loss. A random effects model was employed to conduct meta-analyses, while heterogeneity was assessed using the I2 statistic (PROSPERO: CRD42023439317). The study encompassed 36 selected studies involving 44 effect sizes and 914 participants. The effectiveness of the TRE was found to vary across health conditions, with modest weight loss observed in healthy individuals (pooled effect size -1.04 Kg, 95% CI: -1.42 to -0.65) and more significant weight reduction seen in participants with chronic diseases (pooled effect size -3.33 Kg, 95% CI: -5.05 to -1.62) and overweight/obesity (pooled effect size -4.21 Kg, 95% CI: -5.23 to -3.10). The observed decrease in body weight could be partially attributed to factors influencing energy balance, as evidenced by the significantly lower mean calorie intake at the end of the intervention (1694.71 kcal/day, 95% CI: 1498.57-1890.85) compared to the baseline intake (2000.64 kcal/day, 95% CI: 1830-2172.98), despite the absence of intentional efforts to restrict energy intake by the participants. These findings support the efficacy of this lifestyle intervention for weight loss maintenance and guide the development of its clinical guidelines.

This study aimed to investigate the current state of education on the development of children's cooperative abilities via the use of themed role-playing games in Dak Lak, Vietnam. The period between March through June 2019 was devoted to administering an online survey for data collection. The findings indicate that preschools have devoted attention, effort, intellect, and time to developing primary students' collaboration abilities. Despite this, the findings are still relatively low and do not reflect the proportional number of participants. The youngsters aged 5 to 6 years old have shown that the measures benefit their ability to collaborate with others. The youngsters are more engaged in the activity, taking the initiative, and showing enthusiasm for interacting with one another. The experimental and control groups were quite different regarding their ability to collaborate effectively. In comparison to the youngsters in the control group, those in the experimental group demonstrated superior collaboration skills on a more consistent and regular basis.

The research aims to investigate common mistakes in students' paragraph writing and then suggest some solutions to overcome and enhance students' writing skills. Both quantitative and qualitative methods were employed. Mistakes in the paragraph writing of 60 first-year students were gathered and analyzed. The research results reveal a total of 435 mistakes categorized into three groups: grammar, vocabulary, coherence and four main error causes including grammar and vocabulary weakness, lack of wrtiting practice, Vietnamese interference, and infrequent feedback and correction. Through the findings, several suitable measures have been proposed to assist students in self-correcting their writing mistakes and improving writing skills more effectively. Simultaneously, these measures aim to enhance the effectiveness of teaching writing skills for instructors.

The wear of roller linear guides (RLG) has a direct impact on the tooling precision of CNC machine tool. Wear depends on working conditions: load P, speed V, work environment which includes relative humidity RH and ambient temperature T. In this paper the mathematical regression function describes the relationship between the wear amount U of RLG with the three factors P, RH and T built on the basis of experimental research. The results show that the wear regression function U has an exponential form, which is consistent with experiments about the influence of climatic environment. It describes the simultaneous impact of three factors P, RH, T that affect wear of CNC machine tool rolling guide. With Vietnam's hot and humid environmental conditions, relative humidity RH% = 51 - 99%, temperature T = 15 - 450C, and load P = 2 - 6kgf, the influence on rolling guide wear of normal load P is 2 times the humidity RH% and about 3.8 times that of temperature T. Therefore, it is possible to predict the change in wear amount according to two environmental factors when loading P at certain values.

BackgroundThe etiology of ischemic stroke is multifactorial. Several gene mutations have been identified as leading causes of cerebral autosomal dominant arteriopathy with subcortical infarcts and leukoencephalopathy (CADASIL), a hereditary disease that causes stroke and other neurological symptoms. ObjectiveWe aimed to identify the variants of NOTCH3 and thrombophilia genes, and their complex interactions with other factors. MethodsWe conducted a hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA) on the data of 100 patients diagnosed with ischemic stroke. The variants of NOTCH3 and thrombophilia genes were identified by polymerase chain reaction with confronting 2-pair primers and real-time polymerase chain reaction. The overall preclinical characteristics, cumulative cutpoint values, and factors associated with these somatic mutations were analyzed in unidimensional and multidimensional scaling models. ResultsWe identified the following optimal cutpoints: creatinine, 83.67 (SD 9.19) µmol/L; age, 54 (SD 5) years; prothrombin (PT) time, 13.25 (SD 0.17) seconds; and international normalized ratio (INR), 1.02 (SD 0.03). Using the Nagelkerke method, cutpoint 50% values of the Glasgow Coma Scale score; modified Rankin scale score; and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale scores at admission, after 24 hours, and at discharge were 12.77, 2.86 (SD 1.21), 9.83 (SD 2.85), 7.29 (SD 2.04), and 6.85 (SD 2.90), respectively. Abstract Background Vietnam is undergoing a rapid epidemiological transition with a considerable burden of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), especially hypertension and diabetes (T2DM). Continuity of care (COC) is widely acknowledged as a benchmark for an efficient health system. This study aimed to determine the COC level for hypertension and T2DM within and across care levels and to investigate its associations with health outcomes and disease control. Methods A cross-sectional study was conducted on 602 people with T2DM and/or hypertension managed in primary care settings. We utilized both the Nijmegen continuity of care questionnaire (NCQ) and the Bice - Boxerman continuity of care index (COCI) to comprehensively measure three domains of COC: interpersonal, informational, and management continuity. ANOVA, paired-sample t-test, and bivariate and multivariable logistic regression analysis were performed to examine the predictors of COC. Abstract Background While many studies on the determinants of post-COVID-19 conditions (PCC) have been conducted, little is known about the relationship between SARS-CoV-2 variants and PCC. This study aimed to assess the association between different SARS-CoV-2 variants and the probability of having PCC three months after the infection. Methods This study was a longitudinal cohort study conducted between April 2021 and September 2022 in Belgium. In total, 8,238 adults with a confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection were followed up between the time of their infection and three months later. The primary outcomes were the PCC status three months post infection and seven PCC symptoms categories (neurocognitive, autonomic, gastrointestinal, respiratory, musculoskeletal, anosmia and/or dysgeusia, and other manifestations). The main exposure variable was the type of SARS-CoV-2 variants (i.e. Alpha, Delta, and Omicron), extracted from national surveillance data. The association between the different SARS-CoV-2 variants and PCC as well as PCC symptoms categories was assessed using multivariable logistic regression. Results The proportion of PCC among participants infected during the Alpha, Delta, and Omicron-dominant periods was significantly different and respectively 50%, 50%, and 37%. Participants infected during the Alpha- and Delta-dominant periods had a significantly higher odds of having PCC than those infected during the Omicron-dominant period (OR = 1.61, 95% confidence interval [CI] = 1.33–1.96 and OR = 1.73, 95%CI = 1.54–1.93, respectively). Participants infected during the Alpha and Delta-dominant periods were more likely to report neurocognitive, respiratory, and anosmia/dysgeusia symptoms of PCC. Conclusions People infected during the Alpha- and Delta-dominant periods had a higher probability of having PCC three months after infection than those infected during the Omicron-dominant period. The lower probability of PCC with the Omicron variant must also be interpreted in absolute figures. Indeed, the number of infections with the Omicron variant being higher than with the Alpha and Delta variants, it is possible that the overall prevalence of PCC in the population increases, even if the probability of having a PCC decreases.

The paper presents the results of the first research on the synthesis of nano‐ZIF‐90 from zinc chloride. More specifically, the paper also introduces the results of large‐scale pure nano‐ZIF‐90 synthesis with a high specific surface, uniform cubic crystals, and good thermal strength. ZIF‐90 is synthesized from zinc chloride‐containing medium capillaries, which have both a weak acid center and a strong base center. The post‐synthetic ZIF‐90 was also evaluated for heat storage based on its ability to adsorb water, methanol, and ethanol. XRD, FTIR, SEM, TEM, N2 adsorption and desorption methods, TG mass thermal analysis, and NH3‐TPD/CO2‐TPD were used to study the ZIF‐90 crystallization process with modifications of precursors, solvents, additives, and reaction conditions. From this, a large‐scale synthesis of nano‐ZIF‐90 from high‐efficiency zinc chloride has been derived. Introduction There was a radically changed in nursing education during the nationwide lockdown due to the COVID-19 outbreaks. The transition to remote learning stressed nursing students in many countries, particularly in Vietnam. However, there is still lacking a novel study to describe the mental characteristics of nursing students in detail. Objectives To assess the mental health of nursing students, including stress, anxiety, and depression, and to identify the related factors to their mental health during the online study period because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods A cross-sectional survey was conducted on 540 nursing students at Dong A university using a socio-demographic questionnaire, the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale - 21 Items (DASS-21). Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and tests, including Mann-Whitney, Kruskal-Wallis, and Spearman's correlation to identify the related factors. Results In total 540 participants, nursing students reported stress (N = 120, 22.2%), anxiety (n = 195, 36.1%), and depression symptoms (n = 135, 23.1%). There was a significant relationship between age, work status, married status, number of children, stress, anxiety, and depression (P 0.05). Gender influences participation in food value chains (VCs) with implications for VC upgrading. This study investigated roles as well as differences in production activities, awareness, training, and attitudes between men and women in Vietnam's smallholder pig VCs. Data were gathered from a survey of 1,014 actors in different nodes along the chain, and the results showed that both men and women participated in all nodes of the VCs. Women were mainly in charge of routine husbandry activities (e.g., preparing feed, feeding animals, and cleaning pig pens) and participated in input supply (34.7%), pig production (60.2%), pork processing (63.6%), retailing (93.1%), and home preparation and cooking (100%). Men were more often responsible for tasks requiring strength, knowledge, and skills (e.g., disease management) and had greater involvement in larger-scale farming (60–80%) and slaughtering activities (98.0%). Selling of pigs was handled by both genders, but mainly men (73–80%), especially in larger farms. Likely challenges for upgrading pig VCs include limited training for producers, low concern for occupational health risks in all nodes, and misperceptions about food safety. In general, this study found no clear evidence of perceived gender inequality in the smallholder pig VCs in lowland Vietnam. Gendered upgrading in pig VCs should focus on improving women's ability to access veterinary services and animal disease management and on educating relevant VC actors about occupational health risks.
