A practical electrochemical method for the synthesis of β‐hydroxyselenides has been developed under an external oxidant‐free condition at room temperature under air from alkenes with diselenides and H2O. In recent years, a variety of adsorbents have been developed for Hg2+ removal. However, these adsorbents are unsatisfactory for adsorption due to narrow and irregular pore channels or poor adsorption capacity and low stability. Therefore, it is worth exploring a porous Hg2+ adsorbent material with high adsorption performance and stability. In this study, a benzothiadiazole-based nonbranching functionalized covalent organic framework (COF) material (TPS-COF) by one-step synthesis was reported, which exhibited a high specific surface area of 1564 m2 g−1, high crystallinity and stability attributed to its high conjugated linkage structure of benzothiadiazole. In addition, due to the rich S and N elements of the benzothiadiazole unit, it exhibited excellent adsorption performance on Hg2+, including excellent adsorption amount (1040 mg g−1), high initial adsorption rate (448 mg g−1 min−1) and very short adsorption equilibrium time (10 min), with an efficient removal rate of Hg2+ in the pH range of 2–8. After desorption, the TPS-COF still retained good pore stability, adsorption capacity, and reusability. Such a one-step synthetic unbranched functionalization strategy provides further insights to achieve a good balance between the high crystallinity, functionality and stability of COFs. Due to its success in treating cardio-cerebrovascular illnesses, salvianolic acid A (SAA) from Salvia miltiorrhiza is of major importance for effective acquisition. For the adsorption of salvianolic acid, cationic polyelectrolytes, and amino-terminated silane intercalated with phenylboronic-acid-functionalized montmorillonites, known as phenylboronic-acid-functionalized montmorillonites with PEI (PMP) and phenylboronic-acid-functionalized montmorillonites with KH550 (PMK), respectively, were produced. In this paper, detailed comparisons of the SAA adsorption performance and morphology of two adsorbents were performed. PMP showed a higher adsorption efficiency (>88%) over a wide pH range. PMK showed less pH-dependent SAA adsorption with a faster adsorption kinetic fitting in a pseudo-second-order model. For both PMP and PMK, the SAA adsorption processes were endothermic. Additionally, it was clearer how temperature affected PMP adsorption. PMK has a higher adsorption selectivity. This study demonstrates how the type of intercalator can be seen to have an impact on adsorption behavior through various structural variations and offers an alternative suggestion for establishing a dependable method for the synthesis of functional montmorillonite from the intercalator's perspective. Fe3+ and Al3+ ions existed in phosphoric acid–nitric acid solutions are very troublesome for the neutralization process of nitrophosphate (NP) fertilizer. This paper studied the performances of three chelating resins (S957, S950 and S930) on the removal of Fe3+ and Al3+ ions from phosphoric acid–nitric acid solutions, and one strong acid cation resin (001×7) was also studied for comparison. The batch adsorption equilibrium of Fe3+ ion and Al3+ ion on four resins and the effects of phosphoric acid and nitric acid concentrations on the separation characteristics of four resins were firstly investigated. After that, the dynamic adsorption and elution processes through the fixed bed column were carried out. The batch adsorption results reveal that S957 and 001×7 resins present the higher adsorption ability to Fe3+ ion and Al3+ ion in pure water. But in phosphoric acid–nitric acid solutions, the adsorption ability of S957 and S950 resins is better for the removal of Fe3+ ion and Al3+ ion, whereas 001×7 and S930 resins present very low or even no adsorption ability. The dynamic adsorption and elution processes show that S957 resin is more suitable for the further dynamic operation in view of the recyclability of separation process, while S950 resin expresses poor regeneration performance. Moreover, the coexistent Ca2+ and Mg2+ ions in phosphoric acid–nitric acid solutions have little influence on the removal of Fe3+ and Al3+ ions through the fixed bed S957 resin column. Two wide bandgap conjugated polymers (PBTZNT and PFBTZNT) based on naphthobistriazole (TZNT) as the acceptor unit and benzodithiophene (BDT) as the donor unit were developed and applied in non-fullerene polymer solar cells (NF-PSCs). Detailed investigations revealed that the TZNT unit and fluorine atom substitution of BDT have significant influence on the resultants’ optical and electronic properties, molecular aggregation properties, and charge separation in the bulk-heterojunction films, and thus the overall photovoltaic performances. Two copolymers exhibited wide optical bandgaps, strong absorption and high hole mobility. The NF-PSCs based on the resulting copolymers as the donor materials and m-ITIC as the electron acceptor exhibited impressive photovoltaic performances. Among them, the devices based on the PFBTZNT:m-ITIC system exhibited a high power conversion efficiency of up to 11.02%. This work demonstrates that the TZNT unit is a promising candidate as an electron-deficient building block for high performance NF-PSCs, and side-chain engineering with the addition of fluorine substituents is an effective molecular design strategy for further improvement of the photovoltaic performance. With the advantages of facile one-pot synthesis and THF-irrigating purification, we first developed novel cyclic compounds with deep blue thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) and room-temperature phosphorescence (RTP) dual emission even in the as-spun films. Careful crystal analysis, combined with theoretical calculations, reveal that abundant inter- and intra-molecular interactions, whatsoever the molecular packing, are obligated to unique RTP properties. These results open up a new study of compounds with multiple acceptors and donors, and represent an important step in the further development of deep blue TADF and easy RTP emission. We developed a novel highly efficient blue-light-emitting polymer (P0) containing the alternating electron-deficient diphenylsulfone and the electron-rich 4-octyloxy-aniline moieties, which was synthesized by a palladium catalyzed C–N coupling reaction. Photophysical and light-emitting device characterization confirmed the delayed fluorescence mechanism of this copolymer. A polymer light-emitting diode based on P0 exhibited pure blue emission with CIE coordinates of (0.16, 0.10), which has a maximum external quantum efficiency of 5.3%. In addition, a series of color-tunable polymers that exhibit delayed fluorescence with light emission ranging from sky blue to bluish green and improved efficiency were developed by incorporating a ditriphenylamine-functionalized triazine unit. Selective removal of Ca 2+ and Mg 2+ ions using the 001 × 7 resin and Fe 3+ and Al 3+ ions using the S957 resin is able to achieve the deep purification of the phosphoric acid-nitric acid solution, but the adsorption behaviors of Fe 3+ and Al 3+ ions are seriously suppressed by phosphoric acid. In order to understand the interaction mechanism of separation processes and the influence of phosphoric acid, we first studied the bonding form of Ca 2+ , Mg 2+ , Fe 3+ , and Al 3+ ions on 001 × 7 and S957 resins using FT-IR and XPS techniques; subsequently, quantum chemistry computation was carried out to further explore the bonding mechanism between the functional groups on resins and metal ions. FT-IR and XPS results reveal that for the adsorption process on the 001 × 7 resin, hydroxyls from sulfonic acid groups combine with Ca 2+ and Mg 2+ ions. Whereas Fe 3+ and Al 3+ ions are adsorbed on the S957 resin through an exchange reaction with hydroxyls on the phosphonic acid group but not on the sulfonic acid group. Quantum chemistry computation results reveal that the phosphonic acid group has a larger binding energy with Fe 3+ and Al 3+ ions.
