1. An algorithm for crops segmentation in UAV images based on U-Net CNN model: Application to Sugarbeets plants

Abstract

In recent years, Digital Agriculture (DA) has been widely developed using new technologies and computer vision technics. Drones and Machine learning have proved their efficiency in the optimization of the agricultural management. In this paper we propose an algorithm based on U-Net CNN Model to crops segmentation in UAV images. The algorithm patches the input images into several 256×256 sub-images before creating a mask (ground-truth) that will be fed into a U-Net Model for training. A set of experimentation has been done on real UAV images of Sugerbeets crops, where the mean intersection over Union (MIoU) and the Segmentation accuracy (SA) metrics are adopted to evaluate its performances against other algorithms used in the literature. The proposed algorithm show a good segmentation accuracy compared to three well-known algorithms for UAV image segmentation.

Abstract

Se describen dos huellas crocodyliformes de “les couches rouges” del Jurásico Medio del Alto Atlas de las que se destaca su importancia por su escasez en el registro mundial. Las huellas no son comparables con los icnogéneros descritos hasta ahora. La huella del pie es incompleta. Suponemos que es un crocodiliforme continental porque el ambiente sedimentario en el que están las icnitas es fluvial. Finalmente se indica, aunque con unos márgenes de inseguridad amplios, el orden de tamaño que suponemos para el autor de las pisadas Two Crocodyliform footprints from "les couches rouges" of the Middle Jurassic of the High Atlas are described.We highlight it for its scarcity in the global record. Footprints cannot be compared with other known ichnogenus. The pes print is incomplete.We assume that it is a continental crocodyliform because the footprints are in fluvial deposits. Abstract

In 1BO, one of the outcrops of Bin el Ouidane sites, there are theropod footprints with narrow toemarks that are small in size. The prints, even those from the same trackway, are formed in two superposed levels (from an earlier and later time) of finely laminated sandstones separated by some three centimeters of sediment. The upper level cannot be identified as the tracking surface, given that the structures that accompany the footprints are similar to those of the lower level, which are clearly undertracks. The characteristics of many of them (very narrow toemarks, high divarication, very elongated marks of toe III, width of the footprints and very narrow trackways) are typical of avian ichnites. In this work, such an attribution has been ruled out and it is postulated that the trackmaker is a small theropod dinosaur, from the description and origin of the print structures.
