The article presents the conceptual aspects associated with the development of a small-scale lander (SSL) for the delivery of scientific cargo from orbital stations located in low earth orbit. A distinctive feature of the designed lander is a unique set of landing aids in the subsonic descent section due to the autorotation effect. The thermal processes arising during the descent of the lander are considered. The main aerodynamic characteristics are considered. On the basis of the data obtained, the design of the thermal protection of the apparatus is proposed. A number of solutions have been proposed on the principles of constructing control systems for the apparatus at various sections of the descent. The issues of the SSL layout and the main parameters of its systems are considered. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

CHICKENS , *POULTRY farms , *EIMERIA , *SPRING , *EIMERIA tenella - Abstract
The study of the prevalence of chicken eimeriosis in private poultry farms was carried out in the Aragatsotn region of the Republic of Armenia. Three species of Eimeria were discovered, of which Eimeria acervulina is the most common. The highest rates of infection with Eimeria were recorded in the foothills zone in the spring months, and the lowest in the high mountain zone in the winter. A low extensiveness and intensity of invasion was recorded, which is due to the geographical location and climatic conditions of the region. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Background: Physicians' adherence to guideline-recommended therapy is associated with short-term clinical outcomes in heart failure (HF) with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). However, its impact on longer-term outcomes is poorly documented. Here, we present results from the 18-month follow-up of the QUALIFY registry. Methods and results: Data at 18 months were available for 6118 ambulatory HFrEF patients from this international prospective observational survey. Adherence was measured as a continuous variable, ranging from 0 to 1, and was assessed for five classes of recommended HF medications and dosages. Most deaths were cardiovascular (CV) (228/394) and HF-related (191/394) and the same was true for unplanned hospitalizations (1175 CV and 861 HF-related hospitalizations, out of a total of 1541). According to univariable analysis, CV and HF deaths were significantly associated with physician adherence to guidelines. In multivariable analysis, HF death was associated with adherence level [subdistribution hazard ratio (SHR) 0.93, 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.87–0.99 per 0.1 unit adherence level increase; P = 0.034] as was composite of HF hospitalization or CV death (SHR 0.97, 95% CI 0.94–0.99 per 0.1 unit adherence level increase; P = 0.043), whereas unplanned all-cause, CV or HF hospitalizations were not (all-cause: SHR 0.99, 95% CI 0.9–1.02; CV: SHR 0.98, 95% CI 0.96–1.01; and HF: SHR 0.99, 95% CI 0.96–1.02 per 0.1 unit change in adherence score; P = 0.52, P = 0.2, and P = 0.4, respectively). Conclusion: These results suggest that physicians' adherence to guideline-recommended HF therapies is associated with improved outcomes in HFrEF. Practical strategies should be established to improve physicians' adherence to guidelines. © 2019 The Authors. European Journal of Heart Failure © 2019 European Society of Cardiology

- Abstract
Hypothalamic neurosecretory cytokine, proline-rich peptide-1 (PRP-1) may protect against myocardial dysfunction and hypocalcemia induced by experimental pancreatic necrosis (PN) and/or crush syndrome (CS). 24 and 48 h after initiation of experimental PN, effective doses of PRP-1 were administered to adult Wistar male rats divided into groups corresponding to early, reparative, chronic, and chronic recurrent stages of PN. Similarly age and sex matched rats were immediately administered PRP-1 after 2 h of compression injury. The PRP-1 normalized the histopathological changes in cardiac tissues in the dynamics of both PN and CS. Study of 45Ca++ binding to the membrane proteins of cardiomyocyte sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR) showed that PRP-1 could prevent an impairment in the calcium binding ability of the Ca2+ depot proteins caused under pathological conditions. Besides, PRP-1 suppresses a PN and/or CS-induced compensatory manifestation the affinity to calcium of the 32-kDa SR membrane protein and restores its native properties. The results highlight new prospects over the functional implications of PRP-1 and its possible therapeutic potential for the treatment of patients at high risk of cardiovascular disease associated with different pathologies., European Chemical Bulletin, Vol 5, No 6 (2016): European Chemical Bulletin

The purpose of the study is to identify deficiencies in the legal regulation of the moment of entry into force of criminal procedural decisions influencing the practice of investigating and hearing criminal cases. The provisions of the current legislation on criminal procedure serve as the basis for the study. Moreover, the conclusions reached in the article are based on a compilation of investigative and judicial practice. In the course of the study, a number of scientific methods are used: analysis and synthesis, comparative legal, empirio-critical, systematic, formal legal. They make it possible to identify problems in determining when individual decisions taken in criminal proceedings enter into force. The study resulted in proposals aimed at improving the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation and its application. It is proposed to add to the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation that interlocutory judgments must initially be enforceable, and come into force after a certain period. The position is taken on the need to invalidate paragraph 13 of part 2 of Art. 37 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation and the exclusion of the wording «to approve the decision of the investigator to discontinue criminal proceedings» from the wording of paragraph 9 of part 1 of Art. 39 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation, which will lead to uniformity in the practice of investigating criminal cases and reduce the risk of manipulation of the right to annul decisions to discontinue a criminal case (criminal prosecution) by the head of the investigative body and the prosecutor.

[SDU.STU.OC]Sciences of the Universe [physics]/Earth Sciences/Oceanography - Abstract
International audience; Large-scale climate patterns influenced temperature and weather patterns around the globe in 2011. In particular, a moderate-to-strong La Nina at the beginning of the year dissipated during boreal spring but reemerged during fall. The phenomenon contributed to historical droughts in East Africa, the southern United States, and northern Mexico, as well the wettest two-year period (2010-11) on record for Australia, particularly remarkable as this follows a decade-long dry period. Precipitation patterns in South America were also influenced by La Nina. Heavy rain in Rio de Janeiro in January triggered the country's worst floods and landslides in Brazil's history. The 2011 combined average temperature across global land and ocean surfaces was the coolest since 2008, but was also among the 15 warmest years on record and above the 1981-2010 average. The global sea surface temperature cooled by 0.1 degrees C from 2010 to 2011, associated with cooling influences of La Nina. Global integrals of upper ocean heat content for 2011 were higher than for all prior years, demonstrating the Earth's dominant role of the oceans in the Earth's energy budget. In the upper atmosphere, tropical stratospheric temperatures were anomalously warm, while polar temperatures were anomalously cold. This led to large springtime stratospheric ozone reductions in polar latitudes in both hemispheres. Ozone concentrations in the Arctic stratosphere during March were the lowest for that period since satellite records began in 1979. An extensive, deep, and persistent ozone hole over the Antarctic in September indicates that the recovery to pre-1980 conditions is proceeding very slowly. Atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations increased by 2.10 ppm in 2011, and exceeded 390 ppm for the first time since instrumental records began. Other greenhouse gases also continued to rise in concentration and the combined effect now represents a 30% increase in radiative forcing over a 1990 baseline. Most ozone depleting substances continued to fall. The global net ocean carbon dioxide uptake for the 2010 transition period from El Nino to La Nina, the most recent period for which analyzed data are available, was estimated to be 1.30 Pg C yr(-1), almost 12% below the 29-year long-term average. Relative to the long-term trend, global sea level dropped noticeably in mid-2010 and reached a local minimum in 2011. The drop has been linked to the La Nina conditions that prevailed throughout much of 2010-11. Global sea level increased sharply during the second half of 2011. Global tropical cyclone activity during 2011 was well-below average, with a total of 74 storms compared with the 1981-2010 average of 89. Similar to 2010, the North Atlantic was the only basin that experienced above-normal activity. For the first year since the widespread introduction of the Dvorak intensity-estimation method in the 1980s, only three tropical cyclones reached Category 5 intensity level-all in the Northwest Pacific basin. The Arctic continued to warm at about twice the rate compared with lower latitudes. Below-normal summer snowfall, a decreasing trend in surface albedo, and above-average surface and upper air temperatures resulted in a continued pattern of extreme surface melting, and net snow and ice loss on the Greenland ice sheet. Warmer-than-normal temperatures over the Eurasian Arctic in spring resulted in a new record-low June snow cover extent and spring snow cover duration in this region. In the Canadian Arctic, the mass loss from glaciers and ice caps was the greatest since GRACE measurements began in 2002, continuing a negative trend that began in 1987. New record high temperatures occurred at 20 m below the land surface at all permafrost observatories on the North Slope of Alaska, where measurements began in the late 1970s. Arctic sea ice extent in September 2011 was the second-lowest on record, while the extent of old ice (four and five years) reached a new record minimum that was just 19% of normal. On the opposite pole, austral winter and spring temperatures were more than 3 degrees C above normal over much of the Antarctic continent. However, winter temperatures were below normal in the northern Antarctic Peninsula, which continued the downward trend there during the last 15 years. In summer, an all-time record high temperature of -12.3 degrees C was set at the South Pole station on 25 December, exceeding the previous record by more than a full degree. Antarctic sea ice extent anomalies increased steadily through much of the year, from briefly setting a record low in April, to well above average in December. The latter trend reflects the dispersive effects of low pressure on sea ice and the generally cool conditions around the Antarctic perimeter.

The four most stable structures of Ni$_N$ clusters with $N$ from 2 to 150 have been determined using a combination of the embedded-atom method in the version of Daw, Baskes and Foiles, the {\it variable metric/quasi-Newton} method, and our own {\it Aufbau/Abbau} method. A systematic study of energetics, structure, growth, and stability of also larger clusters has been carried through without more or less severe assumptions on the initial geometries in the structure optimization, on the symmetry, or on bond lengths. It is shown that cluster growth is predominantly icosahedral with $islands$ of {\it fcc}, {\it tetrahedral} and {\it decahedral} growth. For the first time in unbiased computations it is found that Ni$_{147}$ is the multilayer (third Mackay) icosahedron. Further, we point to an enhanced ability of {\it fcc} clusters to compete with the icosahedral and decahedral structures in the vicinity of N=79. In addition, it is shown that conversion from the {\it hcp}/anti-Mackay kind of icosahedral growth to the {\it fcc}/Mackay one occurs within a transition layer including several cluster sizes. Moreover, we present and apply different analytical tools in studying structural and energetic properties of such a large class of clusters. These include means for identifying the overall shape, the occurrence of atomic shells, the similarity of the clusters with, e.g., fragments of the {\it fcc} crystal or of a large icosahedral cluster, and a way of analysing whether the $N$-atom cluster can be considered constructed from the $(N-1)$-atom one by adding an extra atom. In addition, we compare in detail with results from chemical-probe experiment. Maybe the most central result is that first for clusters with $N$ above 80 general trends can be identified., 37 pages, 11 figures

The measurements of temperature dependence of AC magnetic susceptibility were used to study the influence of inhomogeneities on intragranular superconducting properties of YBa2Cu3-xMxOy (M=Fe,x=0.005; Al,x=0.01; Cr,x=0.01), Bi1.7Pb0.2Sb0.1Sr2Ca2Cu3Oy and Bi1.5Pb0.3Sb0.2Sr2Ca2Cu3Oy ceramics. It is found that step-like regions are revealed on AC magnetic field dependence curves Tmg(ho) of hysteresis losses peak temperature for superconducting granuls. The steps at temperature scale depend on sample's composition as well as on the type of atoms sabstituted for the copper. They range from 1 to 2 K for Y-based and about 5 k for Bi-basedsamples. Possible interpretation of the obtained results is presented., 11 pages LeTex, 4 figures, table

Condensed Matter::Superconductivity ,Condensed Matter - Abstract
The influence of the bulk density of YBa2Cu3-xFexOy (0 < x < 0.01) ceramics on the intergranular superconducting (SC) properties was studied using the temperature dependence of AC magnetic susceptibility measurements. It was found that the simultaneous variation of the sample's density and the iron impurity concentration does not influence effectively the onset temperature of the superconducting state Tc(on). While only increasing of the sample's density shifts the intergranular hysteresis losses peak temperature Tm(J) to the lower values which connects with the decreasing of the Josephson magnetic vortices pinning role. It was established that the shielding capability and Tm(J) display a plateau with X in the 0.003 < X < 0..007 region which is due to the monotonous decrease of the sample's density. It was shown that the shielding capability at the T=78K for the sample with 3.8g/cm3 is two times higher than that for the sample with the density of 5.0g/cm3. The possible interpretations of the observed results are discussed., Comment: 6 pages, LaTex, 4 figures
