The article focuses on the representation at all ranks of women in the Australian Defence Force. This can be attributed to the difficulty of attracting men to fill the roles. However, these women do not progress upwards like their male counterparts due to systemic discrimination within the organization. But this seems equitable since women need to balance family life and their careers and having employment in the military is in a way impacting their relationships.
