Tourism is one of the important factors that can affect the environmental and economic situation of any economy. This study investigates the relationship between tourist arrivals and CO2 emission in the top 20 tourist destinations using data from quarterly observations from 1995 to 2018. A unique technique via quantile-on-quantile regression and Granger causality in quantiles was used. In particular, how the quantiles of tourist arrivals impact quantiles of CO2 emission was analyzed. The empirical results suggest a combination of both positive and negative effects of tourist arrivals and CO2 emission in most tourist destinations. Predominantly, at both high and low tails, in the USA, Spain, Hong Kong, and Austria, tourist arrival has a positive effect on CO2 emission, whereas in the case of Canada, France, Germany, Mexico, and Malaysia, the association was negative. On the other hand, China, Greece, Russia, Japan, Italy, South Korea, Thailand, and Turkey have both positive and negative effects of tourism on CO2 emissions at low and high tails. This paper aims to examine the role of blockchain technology for the circular economy to enhance organisational performance in the context of China–Pakistan-Economic-Corridor (CPEC). A close-ended questionnaire-based survey of manufacturing firms was administered to collect cross-sectional data from 290 respondents, which has been analysed through structural equation modelling. The circular economy approach in supply chain management offers environmental as well as economic benefits to the organisations. With the beginning of the Industry 4.0 era, there is an emphasis on technology in every field. A relatively recent phenomenon of blockchain technology promises lots of potential improvement in business operations. According to our results, with features such as visibility, transparency, relationship management, and smart contracting, blockchain technology was found to play a positive role in the circular economy. Furthermore, green practices were found to have a positive nexus with environmental and economic pathways to the firms' performance, whereas environmental performance was also found to have a positive nexus with the economic health of the firm. This study aims to empirically evaluate the effect of low carbonation, crime rate, and logistical infrastructure on tourism and economic development of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) tourist countries through structural equation modeling for the sample period from 2011 to 2019. The proposed model presented six hypotheses among four constructs that suggest that logistic performance and renewable energy consumption positively affect tourism, whereas the crime rate harms tourism in ASEAN countries. As far as the economic growth of ASEAN countries is concerned, it is positively affected by logistic performance, renewable energy, and tourism. Thus, it can be concluded that better ecological conditions with less carbon emission through the use of renewable energy, efficient logistics services and infrastructure, and a peaceful environment with a low‐crime rate can boost the tourists' arrival, which in turn would be beneficial for the economy of ASEAN countries. The world faces a high alert of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), leading to a million deaths and could become infected to reach a billion numbers. A sizeable amount of scholarly work has been available on different aspects of social-economic and environmental factors. At the same time, many of these studies found the linear (direct) causation between the stated factors. In many cases, the direct relationship is not apparent. The world is unsure about the possible determining factors of the COVID-19 pandemic, which need to be known through conducting nonlinearity (indirect) relationships, which caused the pandemic crisis. The study examined the nonlinear relationship between COVID-19 cases and carbon damages, managing financial development, renewable energy consumption, and innovative capability in a cross section of 65 countries. The results show that inbound foreign direct investment first increases and later decreases because of the increasing coronavirus cases. Further, the rise and fall in the research and development expenditures and population density exhibits increasing coronavirus cases across countries. The continued economic growth initial decreases later increase by adopting standardized operating procedures to contain coronavirus disease. The inter-temporal relationship shows that green energy source and carbon damages would likely influence the coronavirus cases with a variance of 17.127% and 5.440%, respectively, over a time horizon. The policymakers should be carefully designing sustainable healthcare policies, as the cost of carbon emissions leads to severe healthcare issues, which are likely to get exposed to contagious diseases, including COVID-19. The sustainable policy instruments, including renewable fuels in industrial production, advancement in cleaner production technologies, the imposition of carbon taxes on dirty production, and environmental certifications, are a few possible remedies that achieve healthcare sustainability agenda globally. This endeavor explores the nexus between health expenditure, consumption of renewable energy, economic growth, and the quality of the environment in 10 central European nations from 2005 to 2018 utilizing the techniques of fully generalized least square (FGLS) and generalized method of moments (GMM) estimation. The outcomes reveal the significant association between health, economic, and environmental factors with green energy utilization. The utilization of fossil fuels negatively influences the quality of the environment and boosts the risk of several diseases associated with the undernourishment and respiratory system and thus increases the death ratio. Furthermore, the utilization of operations based on renewable energy usage exerts a substantial favorable influence upon residents of Central European (CE) nations and thus helps decrease health and pollution‐related expenses. This study is a scholarly effort to broaden the existing literature on the impact of transportation services, urbanization, and financial development on ecological footprints in Pakistan. Data used in this study covers the period of 39 years from 1980 to 2018. This study adopted the QARDL model to tackle the non-linear association of variables and test their long-run stability across the different quantiles. The findings of this study indicated a significant negative association of transportation services and financial development with ecological footprints in Pakistan at almost all quantiles whereas, the urban population was found to be positively associated with the ecological footprint in Pakistan. Results also justify the existence of the EKC hypothesis in the scenario of Pakistan. Policymakers are advised to frame strategies for investors to invest more in eco-friendly projects to curtail the ecological footprints in Pakistan. Minimizing the dependency of the transportation sector on fossil fuel, and increased use of energy-efficient appliances in the urban population would be beneficial to control the negative influence on ecological footprints in Pakistan. Relevant studies have indicated that water consumption behavior varies with respect to different settings and inhabitants, making the resource subject to scarcity or availability problems. This study aims to identify essential paradigms for routing water preservation practices as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) suggest. Responses were gathered from Karachi (Pakistan) to enable contextualization of past knowledge with its socio-environmental structure. The objective is to gain insights into the mentioned framework to identify the collective behaviors acting within the social groups. A survey based approach was adopted for collecting data, with observed responses amounting to 339 individuals under the simple random sampling technique, followed by inferential modeling to identify the forces present in society with respect to water consumption motives. The results following PLS Structural Equation Modeling showed that the dimensions sharing identities with pricing, quality, vicinity elements, diverse actions and societal criticality all had roles in regulating consumption patterns, some with consumption motives, some without and some with vary degrees according to circumstance ambiguity. Concerned regulations are suggested to focus on motive induction in society for awareness based water conservation. The purpose of the research is to test the impact of Advanced Manufacturing Technology (ADMATECH) on Management accounting (MACCT) along with the impact of both of these variables i.e. ADMATECH and MACCT on company's performance (CPF). Further the mediating role of MACCT system between ADMATECH and CPF was also analyzed. Data from 263 manufacturing companies of Pakistan was collected through questionnaire that was taken from different researches. ADMATECH, MACCT and CPF were taken as exogenous, mediating and endogenous variables respectively. To analyze the contingency model of MACCT practices different test were applied that includes validity, reliability and regression. For all these analysis version 23 of SPSS was used. The outcomes showed that the usage of ADMATECH has no effect on CPF i.e. there is an insignificant influence of ADMATECH on CPF. Further results showed that ADMATECH has an effect on the usage of MACCT system i.e. ADMATECH has a significant influence on MACCT system. So it can be said that implementation of ADMATECH stresses on greater usage of MACCT system. Results have also indicated a significant influence of MACCT practices on CPF. This means MACCT system help corporations to compete in competitive environment which ultimately improves CPF. Finally it was also found that the link between AMATECH and CPF was indirect via MACCT i.e. MACCT is a full mediator between ADMATECH and CPF. According to researcher's knowledge about Pakistan, the relationship between these three factors have not been explored in Pakistan. So the researcher has tried to find out the relation between these three variables i.e. ADMATECH, MACCT and CPF. The outcomes of this research will assist managers of these companies in determining whether the usage of ADMATECH is beneficial to increase CPF, with the mediating role of MACCT system. This research develops a dual-cycle ELV recycling and remanufacturing system to better understand and improve the efficiency of the ELV recycling and remanufacturing businesses. For the flawless operation of this system, the researchers employed evolutionary game theory to establish a game model between original vehicle manufacturers (OVMs) and third-party recyclers with the government involved. This research presents evolutionary stable strategies (ESS) that could promote an ELV recycling and remanufacturing system. Results show that OVMs' expected profit difference between choosing and not choosing authorization is crucial in their ESS. The licensing fee plays a part of OVMs' expected profit difference. Based on the results, optimal ESS could be achieved when the OVMs' expected profit difference between choosing authorization and not choosing authorization and the third-party recyclers' profit when paying the licensing fee are both positive. Then, the two groups' involvement in dual-cycle ELV recycling and the remanufacturing system can be ensured. This research implicates the government to devise appropriate reward and punishment strategy to encourage OVMs and third-party recyclers to collaborate for efficient recycling and remanufacturing systems. Particularly, the government is suggested to impose strict restrictions on OVMs to carry ELV recycling and provide support to promote recycling quantity standards.
