Adhesive capsulitis, also known as frozen shoulder, is a condition characterized by shoulder pain and limited motion due to inflammation of the synovial lining and capsule. It is more common in middle-aged women and the non-dominant arm. Risk factors include prolonged immobilization, diabetes, thyroid disorders, and other conditions. This article reports a case of adhesive capsulitis caused by follicular lymphoma in a woman with no cardiovascular risk factors. The patient experienced shoulder pain and limited motion, and imaging tests revealed bone marrow abnormalities. A biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of follicular lymphoma. Treatment included shoulder hydrodistension and chemotherapy. The article emphasizes the importance of considering malignancies as a potential cause of adhesive capsulitis, especially in atypical cases, and highlights the need for early diagnosis to improve prognosis.
