Science festival aims to spread the science culture and communication to wider sections of the society, to provide scientific knowledge to the participants and to comprehend the interaction between science and technology through activities. 30 regional and original events prepared by the units within our university, such as “Adventure of Rose Oil and Rose Water” and “Lavender Perfume” will be realized. The proposed activities include workshops, experimental applications, interactive applications, observation, competitions, collaborative group works, field studies, exhibitions and demonstrations, interviews, and sports activities to attract everyone's attention from 7 to 77. The event aims to present scientific knowledge to the participants within the framework of applied sciences. In addition to regional projects in agriculture, forestry, technology, and aquaculture science, participants at the Science Festival of Isparta University of Applied Sciences as well as activities such as “Reproduction of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants”, “Survival and Camping in Nature” and “Arduino” aims to provide. In order to enable the participants to take an active role in the realization of the activities, the activities were diversified in each activity using different types of activities. The scientific attitude scale was used to determine the gains, experiences, and opinions of the participants within the scope of the planned activities. In the study, the level of the science fair participants' attitudes towards science and gender difference in the attitudes of science fair participants towards science, and opinions and suggestions of the participants about the Science Festival are determined. Within the scope of that, the scientific attitude scale and an open-ended question is used. In the scientific attitude scale, there are 40 items structured to explain the nature of science, the way scientists work, and how the participants feel about science. After the survey items, an open-ended question was asked to reflect opinions and suggestions about the Science Festival. Also, a result of this research, it was determined that the attitudes of the participants towards science were high in a positive way, the participants found the organization productive and fun, and they stated that they could experiment, they wanted such organizations to continue by taking precautions during the pandemic process, suggested that more workshops be held at the next science festival.

Su yönetimi, toplumun suya olan ihtiyacının ve suyun doğadaki mevcudiyetinin yarattığı sorunlara en uygun çözümler arayan bir alan olarak kabul edilmektedir. Kentleşme ve nüfusun hızla artması, özellikle Etiyopya gibi gelişmekte olan ülkelerde su kaynakları ile ilgili birçok sorunu beraberinde getirmiştir. Sonuç olarak, milyonlarca insanın içme suyuna ve gelişmiş sanitasyona erişememektedir. Bu çalışma, Etiyopya'daki asıl su sorunlarının su kıtlığından çok su kaynaklarının koordinasyondaki zayıflıklardan, yeterli yetkilendirilmiş kurumların eksikliğinden, hızlı nüfus artışından, teknik, finansal ve hidropolitik sorunlardan kaynaklanma olasılığının daha yüksek olduğunu bulmuştur. Ülkenin doğal kaynaklarının paylaşımı, sınıraşan su kaynaklarının tahsisi ve yönetimine ilişkin politikası, yukarı ve aşağı havza ülkeleri arasında büyük sorunlar yaratmaktadır. Bu çalışma, mevcut sorunları çözebilecek ve ülkenin sosyo-ekonomik kalkınmasını destekleyebilecek gelişmiş yönetim mekanizmaları ve uygun yaklaşımlar önermektedir., Water management is considered to be a field that searches for optimal solutions to the problems posed by society's need for water and the availability of water in nature. Urbanization and rapid increase in population have brought many problems related to water resources, especially in developing countries like Ethiopia. As a result, millions of people do not have access to potable water and improved sanitation. This study found that the main water problems in Ethiopia are more likely to result from weaknesses in coordination, lack of adequate authorized institutions, rapid population growth, technical, financial, and hydro political problems rather than water scarcity. The country's policy on sharing its natural resources, allocation, and management of transboundary water resources creates major problems between upstream and downstream countries. The study recommends advanced management mechanisms and appropriate approaches that can solve the existing problems and promote the socio-economic development of the country.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, yem katkı maddesi olarak farklı düzeylerde kullanılan sumak (Rhus coriaria L.) meyvesi tozunun gökkuşağı alabalığında (Oncorhynchus mykiss) spesifik olmayan bağışıklık yanıtı, hematoloji ve hastalık direnci üzerindeki etkilerini araştırmaktır. Balıklar (35,67±0,88 g) dört farklı konsantrasyonda (1,0, 3,0, 5,0 ve 10,0 g/kg) sumak ilaveli yemlerle beslenmişlerdir. Sumak meyve tozu ilaveli yemle beslenen gruplar ve kontrol grubu arasında kırmızı kan hücresi sayısı (RBC), beyaz kan hücresi sayısı (WBC), diferansiyel lökosit sayısı (monosit, lenfosit ve nötrofil), hematokrit (Hct), hemoglobin (Hb), ortalama hücre hemoglobin değeri (MCH pg), hücre hemoglobin konsantrasyonu (% MCHC), hücre hemoglobin hacmi (MCV µm3) ve plazma lizozim, immunoglobulin M (IgM) ve toplam protein düzeyinde 60. günde önemli bir farklılık görülmemiştir. 8 haftalık besleme sonrasında balıklara Vibrio anguillarum ile deneysel enfeksiyon uygulaması yapılmış ve 21 gün boyunca kümülatif mortalite kaydedilmiştir. WOS: 000357657500001 In this study, we investigated the effects of enzyme-producing probiotic bacteria isolated from the gastrointestinal tract of rainbow trout on the growth performance, feed conversion ratio, and digestive enzyme activity, of fry (Oncorhynchus mykiss). Three isolates (G8/2013, T7/2013 and U5/2013) of candidate bacteria elicited the highest protease, lipase, and amylase activities, respectively. Isolates were identified as Aeromonas sp., Bacillus sp. and Citrobacter braakii by morphological, physiological, biochemical characterizations as well as 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis. The fry basal diet was supplemented with probiotics at varying concentrations; G8 group, Aeromonas sp. 1.72 x 10(8) CFU/g; U5 group, Bacillus sp. 3.01 x 10(8) CFU/g; T7 group, C. braakii 2.96 x 10(8) CFU/g and a mixed group (same bacterial concentrations), and control group (no bacteria). The rainbow trout fry were fed ad libitum in triplicate treatments with supplemented and non-supplemented probiotic diets for 70-days. The total bacterial count in the intestine was significantly higher in the mixed group (30th and 50th days) and U5 group (50th and 70th days) compared with the control group. However, there was no significant difference in weight gain, specific growth rate (SGR), feed conversion ratio (FCR), nutrient digestibility, or digestive enzyme activity among the groups. In this study, the effects of CaCl2 (2%) supplemented diet, rock salt (RS, 2%) supplemented diet and control diet (no supplement) on the weight gain, specific growth rate, daily feed intake, feed conversion rate, protein efficiency rate and serum mineral concentration (Na, K, Cl) were investigated in rainbow trout. RS was used for increasing the CAD and Na/K ratio of the control diet and CaCl2 was used for decreasing the CAD level of the control diet. A total of 300 fish, 2 replications for each treatment consisting of 50 fish with a mean initial body weight of 88.2 g were used in the experiment. The experiment lasted fifteen weeks. The diet supplemented with 2% RS improved significantly the weight gain, feed conversion rate and protein efficiency rate in rainbow trout compared to 2% CaCl2 supplemented group and control (P0.05). Dietary 2% CaCl2 supplementation did not significantly affect the weight gain, specific growth rate, daily feed intake, feed conversion rate and protein efficiency rate in rainbow trout compared to control diet (P>0.05). Na, K and Cl level of the serum and mortality rate were not statistically different among the groups (P>0.05). The dietary 2% RS supplementation produced a better growth and feed efficiency for rainbow trout compared to dietary 2% CaCl2 supplementation and control diet. Added RS to diet was appropriate for making cationic the diet and increasing the CAD level and Na/K ratio of diet.
