In this study, Al2219 composites with varying wt.% of Si3N4 particles using a combination of stir casting and squeeze casting techniques have been explored. Al2219 alloy with 3, 6, and 9 wt.% of Si3N4 composites was examined for the microstructures through SEM analysis, which revealed an even dissemination of the reinforcement particles within the base matrix. Remarkably, did not observe any issues such as particle agglomeration, residual porosity, or other casting-related problems. The inclusion of ceramic particles in the squeezed composites led to significant increments in hardness, tensile and yield strength, and Izod impact strength when compared to the base Al2219 matrix alloy. Notably, during compression testing, observed a considerable increase in compressive strengths, albeit at the expense of reduced failure strain, as the concentration of hard ceramic reinforcement particles increased. In today's manufacturing industries, Metal Matrix Composites (MMCs) are in high demand owing to their valuable properties like high strength-to-weight ratio and resistance against wear. This research evaluates the wear properties of AA2219 matrix composites reinforced using varying amounts (2%, 4% and 6% by weight) of Si3N4 particles, fabricated by squeeze casting. Wear performance testing of the developed Aluminium Matrix Composite (AMC) is executed by utilising pin-on-disc equipment subjected to varying conditions of load and speed. This experimental research analyses tensile and microstructural behaviour followed by Al7475 (Al-Zn) metal alloy with 3 and 6 wt% of composites of B4C. The liquid metallurgical technique was used in this analysis for creating the Al7475 alloy with 3 and 6 wt% percentages of B4C particle composites. Additional techniques such as EDS/SEM were also employed in this analysis to determine the microstructural behaviour. ASTM Standards are followed to study the mechanical behaviour of Al7475 alloy with B4C-reinforced composites. The incorporation of B4C particles into Al7475 resulted in extreme characteristics in the field of the composite material thereby enhancing its maximum application. By combining different materials, the hardness and tensile strength of the composites improved. The current exploration work focuses on the fabrication of aluminum 7075 matrix composites built up with different weight levels of titanium carbide particles by a traditional stir casting process. In particular, the combination of high hardness and flexible modulus, low density, great wettability, and low synthetic reactivity with aluminum melt makes TiC particle an attractive material. From 0% to 6 wt.% of reinforcement is introduced in steps of 3 wt.%. Aluminum matrix composites are studied in depth to learn more about their microstructures and mechanical properties. TiC particles were uniformly dispersed in the aluminum lattice, as shown by scanning electron micrographs of the material's microstructure. As the weight of the TiC particles in the aluminum lattice increases, so does the density of the composites. The X-ray diffraction technique has also been used to detect the phase of TiC particles. As the amount of TiC particles in the aluminum matrix increases, the material's mechanical properties, such as ultimate tensile strength and hardness, increase at the expense of ductility. Joining of similar metal sheets of Al-2024 with and without hematite ore particulates in between the sheets was performed through the solid-state diffusion bonding process by means of compression testing machine. During joining process, heat was applied to the specimen through the customized die in which electric heating elements were inserted. The specimens were subjected to continuous compressive plastic deformation by using compression testing machine for different holding times. Microstructural analysis confirms that solid-state bonding depends on the process parameters used. The research paper reports on the processing of titanium carbide (TiC) strengthened aluminium metal matrix composite using a stir casting method. Al 6061 and TiC were used as starting materials for synthesizing Al-1.5TiC composite in a resistance furnace. The stir casting technique was followed owing to its simplicity and economic benefits. Microstructural studies were carried out using image analyser and micrographs revealed even dispersal of reinforcement in the alloy, while energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and x-ray diffraction (XRD) studies confirmed the presence of corresponding elements and phase in the composite. MMC based on aluminium (Al) were produced for light-weight applications especially in aviation and automobile areas. Present paper deals with the fabrication and mechanical performance of AA6061 matrix composites fortified with Al2O3 (alumina) and graphene particulates. Fluid metallurgy method namely stir casting route was employed for fabricating the hybrid composites. Al2O3p and graphene powder are mixed in different weight fractions in which graphene (1 wt. %) particle reinforcement is held consistent and Al2O3 reinforcement is differed freely with 5, 10 and 15 wt. %. Using optical analyser and SEM equipment, microstructural examination is carried out and the result reveals that the graphene and Al2O3 particles prevalently are homogeneously appropriated on the grain limits of Al matrix and Al2O3 particles are disseminated between graphene in the as-cast AA6061 MMC's. Detailed analysis on investigation of the microstructure and mechanical aspects of Al6061-graphene-Al2O3p composites is presented by following ASTM guidelines; results uncovered that with increment in reinforcement particles, there is an enhancement in the hardness, ultimate strength, yield strength and a decline in the elongation values was however noticed when contrasted with Al6061 alloy.
