Three-dimensional games are an indispensable tool in education and cultural transmission, offering users immersive experiences that facilitate learning through engagement and direct experience. The aim of this study was to design and implement an advanced cutscene sequencer in Unity 3D, targeted at educational and cultural games, to assist game developers in producing cinematic interludes, which are a key narrative element in games. The project methodology encompassed a detailed process of planning, design, and implementation. This involved the comprehensive use of various tools, including Unity 3D for game development, C# for scripting, Visual Studio for integrated development, Git for version control, Blender for 3D modeling, Substance Painter for texturing, and Audacity for audio editing. These tools collectively facilitated the development of a robust cutscene sequencer system designed to create engaging and dynamic narrative scenes. The project’s results indicate that the use of an advanced sequencer can significantly impact the efficiency and creativity of the game and educational material creation process, offering developers the opportunity to explore practically unlimited viewing perspectives. This tool enables the creation of rich and diverse visual experiences, which is crucial for engaging and educating players.

Sustainable development is socioeconomic growth that integrates political, economic, and social measures alongside environmental protection to meet the needs of communities and citizens without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. The sustainable development concept was initially based on three main pillars: environment, economy, and society. In successive years, this concept has been expanded to include new pillars. The awareness of these changes has influenced our research interests. The main research objective of this study was to evaluate the applicability of geographic information system (GIS) tools (data, tools, and multidimensional analyses) to the implementation of sustainable development principles in rural areas. The study covered rural and nonurbanized areas in Poland, especially farmland, forests, fisheries, and farms. The study presents the results of our research into environmental, economic, and social determinants of growth in the spatial dimension. GIS tools continue to evolve, which improves access to information and increases database managers’ awareness that highly accurate data are needed for spatial analyses. GIS systems allow us to formulate, in a structured and formal way, models that reflect both the current state and forecast changes that will occur in space. It is a very useful tool in the sustainable development of rural areas.

This study analyses urban areas which comprise an urban centre, neighbouring communes and municipalities. As an administrative unit, a city is an organism full of internal and external links and it undergoes constant change at the micro- and macro-levels. A city’s internal structure is modified over time as it responds to changes in the local environment and those changes often affect its neighbourhood. This article proposes a methodology for analysing the dynamics of urban spaces in five Polish cities which were surveyed in 2002– 2016. The proposed method is based on an analysis of the trend and the intensity of changes concerning geolocation data. The input data were obtained from national statistical registers kept for administrative units (municipalities and communes). The method was verified for a group of municipalities and communes, creating a uniform urbanised area (a city and neighbouring municipalities and communes). The analysis was based on the assumption that dwellings constitute the largest part of a city and that they are most susceptible to change. An observer examining the city from within will note that a critical level reached (an observer positioned in a rural area will report a decrease in the surface tension of the urban/rural boundary).

An intensive development of the road network has been noticed in Poland in recent years. Old roads have been renovated and a lot of new roads created. This is particularly easy to see from the number of built highways and city bypasses. The adaquate amount and quality of roads is essential to ensure the economic development of regions and entire countries. However, such line investments are an expansive element and have a significant impact on the environment, landscape, spatial planning and land management. Thanks to the use of GIS tools, we can, by performing appropriate spatial analyzes, limit the negative impact of the communication network on the environment, on the spatial structure of neighboring areas or influence the reduction of social conflicts arising in connection with the construction of a new road. The article presents an assessment of changes in the spatial structure of plots due to the construction of the city bypass. The preliminary stage of the research was the acquisition and segregation of information about the existing state and their analysis. In the next step, the surface effects of the construction of the bypass were analyzed and evaluated.

An observer examining the city from within will note that a critical level has been reached (an observer positioned in a rural area will report a decrease in the surface tension of the urban/rural boundary). In consequence, progressing residential development in areas adjacent to the city contributes to urban sprawl. In view of the above, a research hypothesis was proposed that residential area per capita is the most robust indicator of economic and spatial changes in an urban area.
