It is our pleasure to welcome you to the proceedings of the 13th International C- puter Society of Iran Computer Conference (CSICC-2008). The conference has been held annually since 1995, except for 1998, when it transitioned from a year-end to first-quarter schedule. It has been moving in the direction of greater selectivity (see Fig.1) and broader international participation. Holding it in Kish Island this year represents an effort to further facilitate and encourage international contributions. The international conference Personal Wireless Communications (PWC 2007) was the twelfth conference of its series aimed at stimulating technical exchange between researchers, practitioners and students interested in mobile computing and wireless networks. On behalf of the International Advisory Committee, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to the proceedings of the 2007 event. Wireless communication faces dramatic changes. The wireless networks are expanding rapidly in subscribers, capability, coverage, and applications, and costs continue to decrease. Mobile devices are becoming ubiquitous with greatly expanded computing power and memory, improved displays, and wireless lo­ cal and personal area connectivity. The PWC 2007 program covered a variety of research topics that are of current interest, starting with Ad~Hoc Networks, WiMAX, Heterogeneous Networks, Wireless Networking, QoS and Security, Sen­ sor Networks, Multicast and Signal processing. This year we enriched PWC with a poster session covering diversity topics related to wireless networks (e.g., fil­ ters, current conveyors, etc.). We would like to thank the International Advisory Committee members and the referees. Without their support, the program organization of this conference would not have been possible. On January 24, 1897, an event took place that would change Cuban culture forever: the first moving pictures were shown in Havana. A couple of weeks later, on February 7, the first movie was filmed on the island. Since then, cinematography and Cuba have shared peculiar and innate connections, as their beginnings roughly coincide and Cubans are living in both the age of independence and revolution and the age of film. This work is a filmography of every Cuban film (including documentaries, shorts and cartoons) released from 1897, the first year films were shown and made in Cuba, through 2001. Each entry gives the original title of the film, the English translation of it, director, production company or companies, year of release, black and white or color, total running time, writing credits if the film is based on a story or novel, animation credits if the film is a cartoon, music credits if music has been written specifically for the film, cast credits, and a synopsis and short critical evaluation. The work also provides comments on the relationship between Cuban film and history, and the changes that have taken place over the years in themes, topics, methods, and other aspects of filmmaking in Cuba.

For more than 20 years, the Cali cartel saturated U.S. streets with cocaine, ruining neighborhoods and lives while reaping millions in cash.
