This research systematically reviews and evaluate literature on the interplay of the macroeconomy and house prices in the contemporary. The research recapitulates the ï¬ndings, data and models between and among the discussants in the extant literature to unearth new research gaps. The study analyzed 64 papers from thousands of scholarly papers from purposively sampled reputable database from 2015 to March, 2020, using a systematic review methodology. Based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the selected papers were categorized in relation to the direction of the impact to showing the nexus on the topic. It found that: both the macroeconomy and house prices impact on each other. However, macroeconomic variables were noted to impact on house prices more frequently than the opposite. To the best of the authors knowledge, this review is the first in recent past, to unembellished the dynamic relationship between the macroeconomy and house prices based on the direction in the contemporary. Particularly in the era where there are so much conjectures in the market of another financial crises. The study makes a contribution by identifying new research opportunities for future research and has practical implications to policy makers, researchers and property investors. Background: To explore the impact of passive smoking, cooking with solid fuel, mannose-binding lectin (MBL) gene, MBL-associated serine proteases 2 (MASP-2) gene, and gene–environment interactions on the susceptibility to tuberculosis (TB) in non-smokers. Methods: A total of 205 TB patients and 216 healthy controls were recruited to participate in this case–control study. PCR with sequence-specific primers (PCR-SSP) technology was leveraged to genotype rs7096206 of MBL genes and rs2273346 and rs6695096 of MASP-2 genes. Demographic data and information on exposures of participants were collected. Unconditioned logistic regression analysis was conducted to identify associations between the various factors and TB, and marginal structural linear odds models were used to estimate the interactions. Ag activation of the BCR may play a role in the pathogenesis of human follicular lymphoma (FL) and other B cell malignancies. However, the nature of the Ag(s) recognized by tumor BCRs has not been well studied. In this study, we used unbiased approaches to demonstrate that 42 (19.35%) of 217 tested FL Igs recognized vimentin as a shared autoantigen. The epitope was localized to the N-terminal region of vimentin for all vimentin-reactive tumor Igs. We confirmed specific binding to vimentin by using recombinant vimentin and by performing competitive inhibition studies. Furthermore, using indirect immunofluorescence staining, we showed that the vimentin-reactive tumor Igs colocalized with an anti-vimentin mAb in HEp-2 cells. The reactivity to N-terminal vimentin of IgG FL Igs was significantly higher than that of IgM FL Igs (30.4 versus 10%; p = 0.0022). However, vimentin-reactive FL Igs did not share CDR3 motifs and were not homologous. Vimentin was expressed in the T cell–rich regions of FL, suggesting that vimentin is available for binding with tumor BCRs within the tumor microenvironment. Vimentin was also frequently recognized by mantle cell lymphoma and multiple myeloma Igs. Our results demonstrate that vimentin is a shared autoantigen recognized by nonstereotyped FL BCRs and by the Igs of mantle cell lymphoma and multiple myeloma and suggest that vimentin may play a role in the pathogenesis of multiple B cell malignancies.
