The article reports on the legal analysis of the possible abuse of the rights of a child due to the lack of criminal and civil law in circumcision as determined by the Tasmanian Law Reform Institute. Institute researcher Warwick Marshall states that there is no clear law in the penile foreskin removal in Australia. Moreover, it notes that malpractice of the medical removal procedure might cause horrendous consequences, citing reported suicide cases in men suffering from lasting complications.
