To investigate the fracture behavior of slope rock masses under reservoir water fluctuation, several groups of constant-amplitude-cyclic loading tests and acoustic emission (AE) tests were conducted on two types of sandstone rocks, i.e., red sandstone and cyan sandstone, under both dry and saturated conditions. The variation in mechanical parameters, failure pattern and AE characteristics with water saturation and cyclic loading were systematically explored. The laboratory results show that water saturation causes: i) a notable reduction in peak stress (53.98% for red sandstone and 20.70% for cyan sandstone); ii) a considerable increase in failure strain (8.03% for red sandstone and 13.27% for cyan sandstone); iii) an elevated level of AE activity during cyclic loading phase; and iv) a significant enhancement in the occurrence of tensile failure. The statistical analysis of experimental AE waveform data demonstrates a discernible clustering of AE waveforms with low dominant frequency (L-type waveform) and those with high dominant frequency (H-type waveform). Dry rocks under cyclic loading exhibit the prevailing dominance of H-type waveforms, while saturated rocks display a shift towards the predominance of L-type waveforms. Moreover, both water saturation and cyclic loading contribute to the occurrence of L-type waveforms, which are closely associated with tensile failure in rocks. Based on this, cyclic loading is believed to substantially accelerate strength degradation and catastrophic fracture of rocks. In this work, we study the modulation instability (MI) and closed‐form soliton solution of the modified Korteweg–de Vries–Zakharov–Kuznetsov (mKdV‐ZK) equation with a truncated M‐fractional derivative. The mKdV‐ZK equation can be used to describe the behavior of ion‐acoustic waves in plasma and the propagation of surface waves in deep water with nonlinear and dispersive effects in fluid dynamics. To execute a closed soliton solution, we implement two dominant techniques, namely, the improved F‐expansion scheme and unified solver techniques for the mKdV‐ZK equation. Under the condition of parameters, the obtained solutions exhibit hyperbolic, trigonometric, and rational functions with free parameters. Using the Maple software, we present three‐dimensional (3D) plots with density plots and two‐dimensional (2D) graphical representations for appropriate values of the free parameters. Under the conditions of the numerical values of the free parameters, the obtained closed‐form solutions provided some novel phenomena such as antikink shape wave, dark bell shape, collision of kink and periodic lump wave, periodic wave, collision of antikink and periodic lump wave, collision of linked lump wave with kink shape, periodic lump wave by using improved F‐expansion method and kink shape, diverse type of periodic wave, singular soliton, and bright bell and dark bell‐shape wave phenomena by using unified solver method. The comparative effects of the fractional derivative are illustrated in 2D plots. We also provided a comparison between the results obtained through the suggested scheme and those obtained by other approaches, showing some similar solutions and some that are different. Besides, to check of stability and instability of the solution, the MI analysis of the given system is investigated based on the standard linear stability analysis and the MI gain spectrum analysis. With the use of symbolic calculations, the applied approach is clear, simple, and elementary, as demonstrated by the more broad and novel results that are obtained. The preparation of fused silica glass with microstructural patterns has attracted considerable interest, and the process chain of using nano-silica powders mixed with organic polymers to prepare composites for molding, degreasing, and sintering provides a good solution. However, the potential negative effects of organic residues cannot be avoided. In this study, a pattern stencil replication method with silica gel using high-purity quartz fibers as reinforcement is proposed for preparing micropatterned fused silica glass. The microscopic morphology and mechanical properties before and after silica gel drying and the optical properties of fused silica glass obtained by sintering were evaluated via transmission electron microscopy), three-point bending strength test, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction spectrum analysis, ultraviolet–visible and infrared measurements. The results showed that quartz fiber as a reinforcer could shorten the drying time of the gel and did not degrade the quality of the fused silica glass obtained by sintering. Laser confocal test results showed that microlens arrays were generated by template replication, demonstrating the feasibility of molding fused silica lens arrays with small feature sizes and providing new ideas for the preparation of bulk fused silica glass or micropatterned glass. The Li3LaMgTiO6 phosphor doped with Mn4+ was synthesized using the solid phase gradient temperature technique. The micro-structure and spectral properties were characterized through XRD and fluorescence spectrum analysis. The experimental results demonstrate that it exhibits a typical layered structure, and the gradient temperature technique can effectively modify and distort the crystal cell structure from tetrahedral to cubic system. This transformation alters the required octahedral structure for Mn4+, resulting in the splitting of 2A levels into 2Eg and 2T1, thereby enlarging the energy level spacing. Consequently, due to reduced non-radiative transition probability of 2T1 → 2Eg, a blue shift phenomenon will be formed in the fluorescence peak. By utilizing a 358 nm LED as a pump source, we observed this phenomenon in fluorescence peaks from 711 to 680 nm. Furthermore, by adjusting the gradient temperature zone, it is possible to obtain a full-width half-maximum (FWHM) rectangular fluorescence spectrum up to 100 nm with excellent homogeneity of light intensity, which holds great promise for applications in opto-electronics and crop fields. The utilization of the inversion-based algorithm for spectral decomposition using constrained least-squares spectral analysis (CLSSA) facilitates a time–frequency spectrum with higher temporal and frequency resolution. The conventional CLSSA algorithm is solved by optimizing an L2-norm regularized least-squares misfit function using Gaussian elimination, which suffers from intensive computational cost. Instead of solving an L2-norm regularized misfit function, we propose to use an L1-norm regularized objective function to enhance the sparsity of the resulting time–frequency spectra. Then, we utilize a faster, smarter, and greedier algorithm named greedy-FISTA to enhance the computational efficiency. Compared to the short-time Fourier transform, continuous wavelet transform, and the conventional CLSSA method, the sparsity-enhanced CLSSA with the greedy-FISTA is capable of achieving time–frequency spectra with higher resolution but with much less computational cost. The low specific speed centrifugal pump plays a crucial role in industrial applications, and ensuring its efficient and stable operation is extremely important for the safety of the whole system. The pump must operate with an extremely high head, an extremely low flow rate, and a very fast speed. The internal flow structure is complex and there is a strong interaction between dynamic and static components; consequently, the hydraulic excitation force produced becomes a significant factor that triggers abnormal vibrations in the pump. Therefore, this study focuses on a low specific speed centrifugal pump and uses a single-stage model pump to conduct PIV and pressure pulsation tests. The findings reveal that the PIV tests successfully captured the typical jet-wake structure at the outlet of the impeller, as well as the flow separation structure at the leading edge of the guide vanes and the suction surface. On the left side of the discharge pipe, large-scale flow separation and reverse flow happen as a result of the flow-through effect, producing a strong vortex zone. The flow field on the left side of the pressure chamber is relatively uniform, and the low-speed region on the suction surface of the guide vanes is reduced due to the reverse flow. The results of the pressure pulsation test showed that the energy of pressure pulsation in the flow passage of the guide vane occurs at the fBPF and its harmonics, and the interaction between the rotor and stator is significant. Under the same operating condition, the RMS value distribution and amplitude at fBPF of each measurement point are asymmetric in the circumferential direction. The amplitude of fBPF near the discharge pipe is lower, while the RMS value is higher. A complex flow structure is shown by the larger amplitude and RMS value of the fBPF on the left side of the pressure chamber. With the flow rate increasing, the energy at fBPF of each measurement point increases first and then decreases, while the RMS value decreases, indicating a more uniform flow field inside the pump. We consider the global well-posedness and decay rates for solutions of 3D incompressible micropolar equation in the critical Besov space. Spectrum analysis allows us to find not only parabolic behaviors of solutions, but also damping effect of angular velocity in the low frequencies. Based on this observation, we establish the global well-posedness with more general regularity on the initial data. The approach concerns large time behaviors is so-called the Gevrey method which bases on the parabolic mechanics of the micropolar system. This method enables us even to derive decay of arbitrary higher order derivatives by transforming it into the control of the radius of analyticity under a particular regularity. To bound the growth of the radius of analyticity in general L p Besov spaces, we shall develop some new techniques concern Gevrey estimates, especially an extended Coifman-Meyer theory, to cover those endpoint Lebesgue framework. The technology of p-type transparent semiconductors is utilized in various fields, and enhancing their performance holds industrial significance. Thus, improving the versatility and efficiency of the p-type transparent conducting oxides (TCO) has become critical for the semiconductor industries and technologies. To be used as hole carrier layes in optoelectronic devices, this study aimed to modify the physical features of nickel oxide (NiO) through a doping approach which may broaden and strengthen the usage of NiO. A cost-effective ultrasonic pyrolysis spray technique was employed for pure and lead (Pb) doped nickel oxide thin film production. The influence of the lead concentration on optical, structural, and morphological traits of the NiO nanostructures was examined via various analyses, including energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDAX), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Photoluminescence, UV–visible spectroscopy, X-Ray Diffraction, and Raman spectroscopy, were utilized to investigate the optical and structural characteristics of these films. In correlation, the X-Ray Diffraction results indicated that the Pb doping induced strain and altered lattice parameters of the grown nanostructures while the cubic phase of NiO maintained. The crystallite size of NiO samples ranged from 31.49 nm to 18.75 nm based on Pb doping concentration which was notably influenced by species and doping content. The UV–vis measurements demonstrated that optical parameters, such as optical band gap, were sensitive to Pb doping ratios. The Raman spectrum analysis confirmed the successful incorporation of Pb ions into NiO. Additionally, the intensity of the PL spectra decreased with increasing Pb content, offering potential applications as window layers in solar cells, smart windows, and other optoelectronic devices. Background: Studying the composition rules and evolution mechanisms of genome sequences are core issues in the post-genomic era, and k-mer spectrum analysis of genome sequences is an effective means to solve this problem. Result: We divided total 8-mers of genome sequences into 16 kinds of XY-type due to XY dinucleotides number in 8-mers. Previous works explored that the independent unimodal distributions observed only in three CG-type 8-mer spectra, while non-CG type 8-mer spectra have not the universal phenomenon from prokaryotes to eukaryotes. On this basis, we analyzed the distribution variation of non-CG type 8-mer spectra across 889 animal genome sequences. Following the evolutionary order of animals from primitive to more complex, we found that the spectrum distributions gradually transition from unimodal to tri-modal. The relative distance from the average frequency of each non-CG type 8-mers to the center frequency is different within a species and among different species. For the 8-mers contain CG dinucleotides, we further divided these into 16 subsets, where each 8-mer contains both CG and XY dinucleotides, called XY1_CG1 subsets. We found that the separability values of XY1_CG1 spectra are closely related to the evolution and specificity of animals. Considering the constraint of Chargaff's second parity rule, we finally obtained 10 separability values as the feature set to characterize the evolution state of genome sequences. In order to verify the rationality of the feature set, we used 14 common classification algorithms to perform binary classification tests. The results showed that the accuracy (Acc) ranged between 98.70% and 83.88% among birds, other vertebrates and mammals. Conclusion: We proposed a credible feature set to characterizes the evolution state of genomes and obtained satisfied results by the feature set on large scale classification of animals. There are great challenges in the field of natural product isolation and purification and in the pharmacological study of oligosaccharide monomers. And these isolation and purification processes are still universal problems in the study of natural products (NPs), traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), omics, etc. The same polymer-modified materials designed for the special separation of oligosaccharides, named Sil-epoxy-PEI and Sil-chloropropyl-PEI, were synthesized via two different methods and characterized by scanning electron microscopy combined with energy spectrum analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, zeta potential as well as surface area analysis, etc. Several nucleotide/nucleoside molecules with different polarities and selectivities were successfully isolated in our laboratory using stainless-steel columns filled with the synthesized material. In addition, the separation of saccharide probes and oligosaccharides mixtures in water extracts of Morinda officinalis were compared in HILIC mode. The results showed that the resolution of separations for the representative analytes of the Sil-epoxy-PEI column was higher than for the Sil-chloropropyl-PEI column, and the developed stationary phase exhibited improved performance compared to hydrothermal carbon, amide columns and other HILIC materials previously reported. The composition of gamma-ray burst (GRB) jets remained a mystery until recently. In practice, we usually characterize the magnetization of the GRB jets (σ 0) through the ratio between the Poynting flux and matter (baryonic) flux. With the increasing value of σ 0, magnetic energy gradually takes on a dominant role in the acceleration and energy dissipation of the jet, causing the proportion of thermal component in the prompt-emission spectrum of GRBs to gradually decrease or even be completely suppressed. In this work, we conducted an extensive analysis of the time-resolved spectrum for all Fermi GRBs with known redshift, and we diagnose σ 0 for each time bin by contrasting the thermal and nonthermal radiation components. Our results suggest that most GRB jets should contain a significant magnetic energy component, likely with magnetization factors σ 0 ≥ 10. The value of σ 0 seems to vary significantly within the same GRB. Future studies with more samples, especially those with lower-energy spectral information coverage, will further verify our results. According to the characteristics of the rotor system in an aero-engine and the vibrational test requirements of the aero-engine ground test, suitable vibration measurement sensors and test positions were selected. The vibration signals at the casings for the compressor and turbine of a twin-spool turbo-jet engine were collected under the states of maximum power and afterburning respectively, and the power spectrum analysis was carried out to determine the positions and causes of vibration. Furthermore, methods and preventive measures for eliminating vibration have been proposed. The results indicated that the main rotor vibration excited by mass imbalance in the twin-spool turbo-jet engine was significant. Rotor spindle misalignment or rotor radial stiffness unevenness also induced the vibration. The aerodynamic pulse vibration formed by the rotor blades of the first stage of the low pressure compressor was large, and rub induced vibration fault may occur at the turbine rotor seals. Based on the power spectrum analysis technology, the rotor system faults information including the type, position, and the degree can be quickly identified, and useful attempts and explorations have been made to reduce the vibration faults of the twin-spool turbo-jet engine. Electrical impedance dermography (EID), based on electrical impedance spectroscopy, is a specific technique for the evaluation of skin disorders that relies upon the application and measurement of painless, alternating electrical current. EID assesses pathological changes to the normal composition and architecture of the skin that influence the flow of electrical current, including changes associated with inflammation, keratinocyte and melanocyte carcinogenesis, and scarring. Assessing the electrical properties of the skin across a range of frequencies and in multiple directions of current flow can provide diagnostic information to aid in the identification of pathologic skin conditions. EID holds the promise of serving as a diagnostic biomarker and potential to be used in skin cancer detection and staging. EID may also be useful as a biomarker in monitoring effectiveness of treatment in individual patients and in therapeutic research. This review highlights ongoing efforts to improve mechanistic understanding of skin electrical changes, study of EID in a variety of clinical contexts, and further refine the technology to find greater clinical use in dermatology and dermatologic research. This work presents the results of the analysis of 27-day variations in the flux of galactic protons registered by STEREO, SOHO, and AMS-02 in 2015–2016. We calculate variations' amplitude using several different approaches and propose a description of its energy dependence in the range of magnetic rigidity from approximately 0.3 to 100 GV. We also analyse variations of the solar modulation potential, which is the only parameter of force-field model, and consider the possibility of describing the 27-day variations of galactic cosmic rays within the framework of this model. Among the directional angle calculation models of Bluetooth 5.1, the rectangular hollow array offers the advantage of shorter sampling time due to its fewer elements compared to traditional planar arrays. However, the antimultipath algorithms suitable for traditional planar arrays cannot be applied to rectangular hollow arrays. Therefore, this study proposes a virtual array filling algorithm, wherein four virtual matrices are inserted into the hollow matrix to transform the array into a uniform rectangular array. This algorithm ensures translation invariance of the rectangular array, enabling the application of the antimultipath coherent source algorithm to a rectangular hollow array. An algorithm for reconstructing Toeplitz matrices in two‐dimensional uniform planar arrays is also proposed. Through the analysis of the spatial spectrum and angle estimation results of various algorithms, the effectiveness of the signal angle of arrival estimation theory is verified. New strategies for converting signals between optical and microwave domains could play a pivotal role in advancing both classical and quantum technologies. Traditional approaches to optical-to-microwave transduction typically perturb or destroy the information encoded on intensity of the light field, eliminating the possibility for further processing or distribution of these signals. In this paper, we introduce an optical-to-microwave conversion method that allows for both detection and spectral analysis of microwave photonic signals without degradation of their information content. This functionality is demonstrated using an optomechanical waveguide integrated with a piezoelectric transducer. Efficient electromechanical and optomechanical coupling within this system permits bidirectional optical-to-microwave conversion with a quantum efficiency of up to −54.16 dB. Leveraging the preservation of the optical field envelope in intramodal Brillouin scattering, we demonstrate a multi-channel microwave photonic filter by transmitting an optical signal through a series of electro-optomechanical waveguide segments, each with distinct resonance frequencies. Such electro-optomechanical systems could offer flexible strategies for remote sensing, channelization, and spectrum analysis in microwave photonics. The authors showcase an optical-to-microwave conversion method using an optomechanical waveguide integrated with a piezoelectric transducer. Structure elucidation is a stage of paramount importance in the discovery of novel compounds because molecular structure determines their physical, chemical and biological properties. Computational prediction of spectroscopic data, mainly NMR, has become a widely used tool to help in such tasks due to its increasing easiness and reliability. However, despite the continuous increment in CPU calculation power, classical quantum mechanics simulations still require a lot of effort. Accordingly, simulations of large or conformationally complex molecules are impractical. In this context, a growing number of research groups have explored the capabilities of machine learning (ML) algorithms in computational NMR prediction. In parallel, important advances have been made in the development of machine learninginspired methods to correlate the experimental and calculated NMR data to facilitate the structural elucidation process. The massive binary HDE 228766 is composed of an O type primary and an evolved secondary. However, previous qualitative analyses of the composite spectrum have led to a wide discussion about whether the secondary is an Of or a Wolf–Rayet star. We use new observations and our novel QER20 package to disentangle for the first time the spectra of the two stellar components and obtain artefact |$-$| free reconstructed spectra, yielding the more accurate and reliable spectral classifications of O7.5 V((f))z for the primary and O6 Iaf for the secondary. The emission features of the P |$-$| Cygni profiles of the H  |$\beta$| and He i 5876 Å lines, present in the reconstructed spectrum of the secondary, show that this star is at an initial phase of its transition to the WN evolutionary stage. A previously unobserved variable emission, composed of at least four independent features, is seen since 2014 superposed to the H  |$\gamma$| absorption line. Our analysis reveals that these emission features originate from a physically extended region. This could be explained by an episode of enhanced mass-loss in the scenario of a non |$-$| conservative evolution of the binary. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The method of the two neutron monitors was used to analyze the parameters of the rigidity spectrum variations (RSV) of galactic cosmic ray intensity (GCR) flux in solar cycle 24 based on the data from the global network of neutron monitors. This method is an alternative to the least squares method when there are few monitors working stably in a given period, and their use in the least squares method is impossible. Analyses of the changes in exponent γ in the RSV of GCR flux from 2009 to 2019 were studied. The soft RSV (γ = 1.2–1.3) of the GCR flux around the maximum epoch and the hard RSV (γ = 0.6–0.9) around the minimum epoch of solar activity (SA) is the general feature of GCR modulation in the GeV energy scale (5, 50), to which neutron monitors were found to correspond. Therefore, various values of the RSV γ in the considered period show that during the decrease and increase period of SA, the essential changes in the large-scale structure of the heliospheric magnetic field (HMF) fluctuations/turbulence take place. The exponent γ of the RSV of the GCR flux can be considered a significant parameter to investigate the long-period changes in the GCR flux. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

As the driving source, highly efficient silicon-based light emission is urgently needed for the realization of optoelectronic integrated chips. Here, we report that enhanced green electroluminescence (EL) can be obtained from oxygen-doped silicon nitride (SiNx:O) films based on an ordered and tunable Ag nanocavity array with a high density by nanosphere lithography and laser irradiation. Compared with that of a pure SiNxO device, the green electroluminescence (EL) from the SiNx:O/Ag nanocavity array device can be increased by 7.1-fold. Moreover, the external quantum efficiency of the green electroluminescence (EL) is enhanced 3-fold for SiNx:O/Ag nanocavity arrays with diameters of 300 nm. The analysis of absorption spectra and the FDTD calculation reveal that the localized surface plasmon (LSP) resonance of size-controllable Ag nanocavity arrays and SiNx:O films play a key role in the strong green EL. Our discovery demonstrates that SiNx:O films coupled with tunable Ag nanocavity arrays are promising for silicon-based light-emitting diode devices of the AI period in the future. A novel binary compounds as 3-(1,3-diphenyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-2-phenyl-2H benzo [f] indazole-4,9-dione (10) and fused compounds as 2-hydroxy-3-(4-hydroxy-7-methoxy-2-oxo-1,2 dihydroquinolin-3-yl) naphthalene-1,4-dione (7) and naphtha [2,3-b] furan-3,4,9 (2H)-trione (6) based on Lawsone 'that plays as important precursor' was synthesized by reaction with 1,3-diphenyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carbaldehyde and halo-compounds, such as 2-chloro-acetyl chloride or 3-bromo-4-hydroxy-7-methoxyquinolin-2(1H)-one. Spectra and elemental analysis of newly synthesized compounds were investigated. The target molecules were showed easy access to antioxidant (calorimetrical measurement) and antitumor (Ehrlich ascites carcinoma [EAC] cells) activities. Geometrical isomers (enol, Keto conformers, and syn, anti-conformers) were achieved by density functional theory (DFT) that conformed to the spectral analysis of the investigated compounds. Landslide disasters frequently result in significant casualties and property losses, underscoring the critical importance of research on landslide displacement prediction. This paper introduces an approach combining improved empirical mode decomposition (ICEEMDAN) and singular entropy-enhanced singular spectrum analysis (SSA) to predict landslide displacement using a time series short-duration memory network (LSTM). Initially, ICEEMDAN decomposes the landslide displacement time series into trend and periodic terms. SSA is then employed to denoise these components before fitting the trend term with LSTM. Pearson correlation analysis is utilized to identify characteristic factors within the LSTM model, followed by predictions using a multivariate LSTM model. The empirical results from the Baijiabao landslide in the Three Gorges Reservoir area demonstrate that the joint ICEEMDAN-SSA approach, when combined with LSTM modeling, outperforms the separate applications of SSA and ICEEMDAN, as well as other models such as RNN and SVM. Specifically, the ICEEMDAN-SSA-LSTM model achieves an RMSE of 6.472 mm and an MAE of 4.992 mm, which are considerably lower than those of the RNN model (19.945 mm and 15.343 mm, respectively) and the SVM model (16.584 mm and 11.748 mm, respectively). Additionally, the R2 value for the ICEEMDAN-SSA-LSTM model is 97.5%, significantly higher than the RNN model's 72.3% and the SVM model's 92.8%. By summing the predictions of the trend and periodic terms, the cumulative displacement prediction is obtained, indicating the superior accuracy of the ICEEMDAN-SSA-LSTM model. Considering the nonlinear and non-stationary characteristics of sea-level-change time series, this study focuses on enhancing the predictive accuracy of sea level change. The adjacent seas of China are selected as the research area, and the study integrates singular spectrum analysis (SSA) with long short-term memory (LSTM) neural networks to establish an SSA-LSTM hybrid model for predicting sea level change based on sea level anomaly datasets from 1993 to 2021. Comparative analyses are conducted between the SSA-LSTM hybrid model and singular LSTM neural network model, as well as (empirical mode decomposition) EMD-LSTM and (Complete Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition with Adaptive Noise) CEEMDAN-LSTM hybrid models. Evaluation metrics, including the root mean square error (RMSE), mean absolute error (MAE), and the coefficient of determination (R2), are employed for the accuracy assessment. The results demonstrate a significant improvement in prediction accuracy using the SSA-LSTM hybrid model, with an RMSE of 5.26 mm, MAE of 4.27 mm, and R2 of 0.98, all surpassing those of the other models. Objective: Deep brain stimulation (DBS) is a promising approach for the treatment of epilepsy. However, the optimal target for DBS and underlying mechanisms are still not clear. Here, we compared the therapeutic effects of DBS on distinct septal subregions, aimed to find the precise targets of septal DBS and related mechanisms for the clinical treatment. Methods: Assisted by behavioral test, electroencephalography (EEG) recording and analyzing, selectively neuronal manipulation and immunohistochemistry, we assessed the effects of DBS on the three septal subregions in kainic acid (KA)‐induced mouse seizure model. Results: DBS in the medial septum (MS) not only delayed generalized seizure (GS) development, but reduced the severity; DBS in the vertical diagonal band of Broca (VDB) only reduced the severity of GS, while DBS in the horizontal diagonal band of Broca (HDB) subregion showed no anti‐seizure effect. Notably, DBS in the MS much more efficiently decreased abnormal activation of hippocampal neurons. EEG spectrum analysis indicated that DBS in the MS and VDB subregions mainly increased the basal hippocampal low‐frequency (delta and theta) rhythm. Furthermore, ablation of cholinergic neurons in the MS and VDB subregions blocked the anti‐seizure and EEG‐modulating effects of septal DBS, suggesting the seizure‐alleviating effect of DBS was dependent on local cholinergic neurons. Significance: DBS in the MS and VDB, rather than HDB, attenuates hippocampal seizure by activation of cholinergic neurons‐augmented hippocampal delta/theta rhythm. This may be of great therapeutic significance for the clinical treatment of epilepsy with septal DBS. The study aimed to develop a potential biomaterial for neuroregeneration by the electrospinning of the biocompatible polymer polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) with innovative functionalized boron nitride quantum dots (F-BNQDs) synthesized via green chemistry using the amino acid taurine as a functionalization. The F-BNQDs were characterized and were found to be 16-21 nm in diameter, showed good photoluminescent characteristics, and their elemental composition was confirmed by x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR), and ultraviolet spectroscopy. The PVDF with F-BNQDs was prepared at three different concentrations, and the resulting electrospun fibers were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, FTIR, thermogravimetric analysis, contact angle, biodegradation, water uptake, Schwann cell cytotoxicity, and cell behavior studies. The results of the study showed that the addition of F-BNQDs to PVDF resulted in enhanced mechanical properties, decreased contact angle, increased degradability, and water uptake. The lactate dehydrogenase assay revealed that 5% BN-PVDF had the lowest cytotoxicity. Fluroscent 4',6-diamidino-2-phenylindole (DAPI) staining showed that the increase in F-BNQD concentration up to 5% BN-PVDF enhanced cell behavior on the electrospun fibers. Therefore, the study concluded that 5% BN-PVDF would be suitable for further testing as a potential biomaterial for neuroregeneration in vivo. Due to its relatively low cost and remote detection characteristics, optical temperature sensing technology based on FIR has received widespread attention. At present, there is a lack of theoretical guidance on how to purposefully improve or guide the development of high-performance temperature sensing materials. Herein, the structure of a novel material K 7 MgSc 2 B 15 O 30 has been confirmed by the XRD analysis. Furthermore, the effect of Zn on the crystal structure and the photoluminescence (PL) properties of K 7 MgSc 2 B 15 O 30 :Mn2+ has been studied. The PL spectra analysis of a series of Mn2+ doped K 7 MgSc 2 B 15 O 30 luminescence materials indicates that two kinds of Mn2+ emitting centers (Mn(1) and Mn(2)) exist due to the two possible substitution sites Mg2+ and Sc3+. With the increasing of Zn2+, the intensity ratio of Mn(2) to Mn(1) improves from 1.01 to 1.88 at room temperature. Especially, the thermal stability of Mn(1) and Mn(2) gradually decrease with the increasing of Zn2+ contents, which can be due to the lengthening of Zn/Mg–O bonds and the lattice distortion of ScO 6 , respectively. Finally, their temperature sensing sensitivity has been enhanced by the doping of Zn2+, which has a close relation to the different effect of the thermal stability of Mn(1) and Mn(2). Traditional free vibration-based forward models generate theoretical dispersion curves under the assumption of planar waves, neglecting the influence of the actual source-receiver configuration. The 2D/3D discretization-based numerical wavefield modeling approaches can mimic real field scenarios considering active source-receiver information. However, numerical methods are computationally inefficient. This study introduces an active sourced semianalytical wavefield modeling approach for laterally homogeneous horizontally stratified media, incorporating source-receiver data acquisition layouts. The method considers a cylindrically spreading wavefield described by the Hankel function instead of the planar wave assumption. The approach considers both propagating waves characterized by real wavenumbers and decaying waves with complex wavenumbers, allowing for the calculation of surface displacements in both the far and near fields. The proposed model captures the complete wavefield, including source-offset effects and leaky waves, while maintaining computational efficiency comparable to any free vibration-based approaches. The method entails solving the eigenvalue problem constructed through the higher-order thin-layer method. Subsequently, it calculates the frequency domain vertical and radial surface responses at any desired location in space generated by a vertically positioned active source. The proposed method's overall performance is investigated on diverse subsurface profiles, including regularly dispersive media, low-velocity layer models, and a field cross-hole model. The Rayleigh wave's vertical and radial component dispersion images obtained from the proposed method are validated against the numerical approach. The proposed method is at least two orders of magnitude faster than the numerical approach. Notably, it addresses mode misidentification issues arising from modal osculation at low frequencies and effectively captures the smooth transition of modal energy from fundamental modes to higher modes. Note that the present method is limited to laterally homogeneous media. Methodology This study explored the antibiofilm as well as photocatalytic potential of silver (Ag) nanoparticles (NPs) synthesized using the cell-free supernatant of Lactobacillus acidophilus for the disinfection of multi-drug-resistant (MDR) strains of enteroaggregative E. coli (EAEC), Salmonella Typhimurium, S. Enteritidis and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) on exposure to LED light. In addition, the removal of toxic cationic dyes i.e., methylene blue (MB), rhodamine B (RhB) and crystal violet (CV) was explored on exposure to sunlight, LED and UV lights. Results Initially, the synthesis of AgNPs was verified using UV- Vis spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. The synthesized AgNPs exhibited MIC and MBC values of 7.80 and 15.625 [micro]g/mL, respectively. The AgNPs exhibited significant inhibition (P < 0.001) in the biofilm-forming ability of all the tested MDR isolates. On exposure to LED light, the AgNPs could effectively eliminate all the tested MDR isolates in a dose-dependent manner. While performing photocatalytic assays, the degradation of RhB was observed to be quite slower than MB and CV irrespective of the tested light sources. Moreover, the sunlight as well as UV light exhibited better photodegradation capacity than LED light. Notwithstanding the light sources, RhB followed zero-order kinetics; however, MB and CV followed primarily second-order kinetics. Conclusion The green synthesized AgNPs were found to be an effective photocatalytic as well as antifouling candidate that could be applied in therapeutics and wastewater treatment. Background: Diffusion kurtosis imaging is an advanced magnetic resonance imaging technique that reveals additional information on the microstructure and micro-dynamics of different brain masses without the need for contrast agents. The aim of this study was to provide a comprehensive analysis of the role of MRI diffusion kurtosis and to compare it with magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) and dynamic susceptibility contrast perfusion (DSC) in characterizing different brain masses, including gliomas, recurrent tumors, radiation necrosis, abscesses, and infarctions. Sixty-six patients with intracranial brain masses were enrolled in this prospective study. All patients were examined by conventional MRI sequences, DSC perfusion, MRS, and diffusion kurtosis imaging, with implemented b values which were 200, 500, 1000, 1500 and 2000s/mm2. Results: Mean kurtosis (MK) was higher (P < 0.001) in recurrent brain tumors than in radiation-induced necrosis; the optimal MK cutoff value for differentiation between them was 642 with 91.3% sensitivity and 85.7% specificity. Mean kurtosis was also higher (P < 0.001) in high-grade gliomas than in low-grade gliomas; the optimal MK cutoff value for differentiation between them was 639 with 91.6% sensitivity and 85.71% specificity. There was a good level of agreement between ADC and MD within the studied cases, with a correlation coefficient r = 0.815. MK had more sensitivity and specificity in differentiation between high- and low-grade gliomas, as well as RIN and tumoral recurrence, than MRS and DSC. Conclusions: Diffusion kurtosis imaging stands as an integral, noninvasive, and noncontrast tool for the characterization of various brain masses. Spectral graph theory explores the relationship between the eigenvalues and the structural properties of graphs. This study focuses on the fundamental matrices associated with simple graphs, specifically the adjacency matrix. This work contributes to the spectral graph theory literature by introducing a new family of simple connected graphs and investigating their eigenvalue properties. We examine conditions under which these graphs satisfy specific spectral properties, such as the strong antireciprocal eigenvalue property. Additionally, we construct another family of graphs from this new family, proving that each graph within this derived family satisfies the strong antireciprocal eigenvalue property. Pipeline transportation is the main means of transportation of oil, natural gas and other energy sources. During transportation, corrosive substances in oil and natural gas can cause damage to the pipeline structure. A non-destructive testing technology for pipeline corrosion based on electromagnetic ultrasound technology was proposed to improve the stability and safety of energy pipeline transportation systems. This technology utilized empirical mode decomposition and singular spectrum analysis to denoise electromagnetic ultrasound signals. The designed electromagnetic signal denoising algorithm completely removed mild noise pollution. When using this method to detect pipeline corrosion, the maximum calculation error of pipeline wall thickness was 0.1906 mm, and the lowest was 0.0015 mm. When detecting small area corrosion deficiency, the amplitude of the detection signal increased with the depth, up to a maximum of around 24 V, which accurately reflected small area defects. This non-destructive testing technology for pipelines can effectively detect the pipeline corrosion, which is helpful for the regular maintenance of pipeline energy transmission systems. Substrate-free electrodes are promising dry electrodes for long-term physiological electrical signal monitoring due to their ultra-thinness, conformal contact, and stable skin–electrode impedance. However, the response of substrate-free electrodes to various disturbances during electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring and the corresponding optimization needs to be investigated. This paper investigates the specific effects of various influencing factors on skin–electrode impedance and ECG during electrocardiogram (ECG) detection. The research utilizes substrate-free poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)/poly(styrene-sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) electrodes. The investigation employs several methods, including skin–electrode impedance comparison, ECG waveform analysis, spectrum analysis, and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) evaluation. To avoid the impact of physiological state differences in subjects at different times, relevant data were only compared with the same group of experiments conducted in the same period. The results demonstrate that the substrate-free conformal contact PEDOT:PSS electrode has more stable skin–electrode impedance and could obtain a more stable ECG than partial contact electrodes (the SNR of the partial contact and conformal contact electrodes are 1.2768 ± 4.0299 dB and 7.2637 ± 1.4897 dB, respectively). Furthermore, the ECG signal quality of the substrate-free conformal contact PEDOT:PSS electrode was independent of the electrode area and shape (the SNRs of the large, medium, and small electrodes are 4.0447 ± 0.4616 dB, 3.9115 ± 0.5885 dB, and 4.1556 ± 0.5557 dB, respectively; the SNRs of the circular, square, and triangular electrodes are 9.2649 ± 0.6326 dB, 9.2471 ± 0.6806 dB, and 9.1514 ± 0.6875 dB, respectively), showing high signal acquisition capability that is the same as microneedle electrodes and better than fabric electrodes. The results of clothing friction effects show that skin–electrode impedance stability was important for ECG stability, while the impedance value was not (the SNRs of friction and non-friction electrodes are 2.4128 ± 7.0784 dB and 9.2164 ± 0.6696 dB, respectively). Moreover, the skin–electrode impedance maintains stability even at a high breathing frequency, but the ECG signal fluctuates at a high breathing frequency. This experiment demonstrates that even when the skin–electrode impedance remains stable, the ECG signal can still be susceptible to interference from other factors. This study suggests that substrate-free PEDOT:PSS that could form conformal contact with the skin has higher skin–electrode impedance stability and could measure a high ECG signal even with a small electrode area, demonstrating its potential as dry ECG electrodes, but the interference from other physiological electrical signals may require better circuit design. Background: Medicinal plant-mediated combinational therapies have gained importance globally due to minimal side effects and enhanced treatment outcomes compared to single-drug modalities. We aimed to analyze the cytotoxic potential of each conventional treatment i.e., photodynamic therapy (PDT), chemotherapy (doxorubicin hydrochloride; Dox-HCl) with or without various concentrations of medicinal plant extracts (PE) on soft tissue cancer Rhabdomyosarcoma (RD) cell line. Methods: The Rhabdomyosarcoma (RD) cell line was cultured and treated with Photosensitizer (Photosense (AlPc4)), Chemo (Dox-HCl), and their combinations with different concentrations of each plant extract i.e., Thuja occidentalis, Moringa oleifera, Solanum surattense. For the source of illumination, a Diode laser (λ = 630 nm ± 1 nm, Pmax = 1.5 mW) was used. Photosensitizer uptake time (∼ 45 min) was optimized through spectrophotometric measurements (absorption spectroscopy). Drug response of each treatment arm was assessed post 24 h of administration using 3-(4, 5-dimethyl-2-thiazolyl)-2, 5- 5-diphenyl-2 H- tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay. Results: PE-mediated Chemo-Photodynamic therapy (PDT) exhibited synergistic effects (CI < 1). Moreover, Rhabdomyosarcoma culture pretreated with various plant extracts for 24 h exhibited significant inhibition of cell viability however most effective outcomes were shown by low and high doses of Moringa oleifera compared to other plant extracts. Post low doses treated culture with all plant extracts followed by PDT came up with more effectiveness when compared to all di-therapy treatments. Conclusion: The general outcome of this work shows that the ethanolic plant extracts (higher doses) promote the death of cancerous cells in a dose-dependent way and combining Dox-HCl and photo-mediated photodynamic therapy can yield better therapeutic outcomes. Ground-penetrating radar (GPR) is often used to detect targets in a construction environment. Due to the different construction environments, the noise exhibits different characteristics on the GPR signal. When the noise is widely distributed on the GPR signal, and its spectrum and the spectrum of the active signal are aliased, it is difficult to separate and suppress the noise by traditional filtering methods. In this paper, we propose a deep learning GPR image noise suppression method based on a recursive guided and dual multi-scale self-attention mechanism neural network (RG-DMSA-NN), which uses a recursive guidance module and a dual multi-scale self-attention mechanism module to improve the feature extraction ability of the image and enhance the robustness and generalization ability in image noise suppression. Through the application of noise suppression on the synthesized test data and the GPR data actually collected by the Macao Science and Technology Museum, the advantages of this method over the traditional filtering, DnCNN and UNet noise suppression methods are demonstrated. Background: A parotid abscess (PA) is a complication of an acute bacterial parotitis with a potentially life-threatening course. To date, data on the diagnosis and therapy of PA is sparse and mostly consists of case reports or case series. Therefore, this study aimed at comprehensively analyzing the microbiological spectrum and the therapeutic management in a bi-institutional setting. Methods: A retrospective clinical chart review was performed to identify all patients surgically treated for PA at two tertiary care centers in Germany. Data on demographics, clinical management and microbiological data including species identification, pathogenicity, type of antibiotic therapy, adjustment of antibiotics, antibiotic sensitivity testing, and smear test results were extracted. Intervention-related variables and etiology were analyzed for their statistical association with outcome variables. Results: Overall, 85 patients were included. Most patients (92.9%) underwent surgical incision. Around half of the patients (45.9%) were treated under local anesthesia. No facial nerve palsy was observed. The most frequently detected pathogens were Streptococci (n = 23), followed by Staphylococcus aureus (n = 6) including one case of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. Most patients (68.2%) received an aminopenicillin ± beta-lactamase inhibitor as empiric antibiotic therapy. In 6 cases the antibiotic therapy was modified after receiving the antibiogram. Four patients (5.2%) presented with recurrent PA. Etiology was idiopathic (42.4%), followed by tumorous (12.9%), obstructive, and immunosuppressive (each 11.8%). Patients with a dental focus (p = 0.007) had a longer duration of hospitalization. Conclusion: The results show that the surgical therapy of PA under local anesthesia is safe. A dental examination should routinely be performed to rule out a dental focus. This paper presents a deep-learning-based method to detect recreational vessels. The method takes advantage of existing underwater acoustic measurements from an Estuarine Soundscape Observatory Network based in the estuaries of South Carolina (SC), USA. The detection method is a two-step searching method, called Deep Scanning (DS), which includes a time-domain energy analysis and a frequency-domain spectrum analysis. In the time domain, acoustic signals with higher energy, measured by sound pressure level (SPL), are labeled for the potential existence of moving vessels. In the frequency domain, the labeled acoustic signals are examined against a predefined training dataset using a neural network. This research builds training data using diverse vessel sound features obtained from real measurements, with a duration between 5.0 seconds and 7.5 seconds and a frequency between 800 Hz to 10,000 Hz. The proposed method was then evaluated using all acoustic data in the years 2017, 2018, and 2021, respectively; a total of approximately 171,262 2-minute.wav files at three deployed locations in May River, SC. The DS detections were compared to human-observed detections for each audio file and results showed the method was able to classify the existence of vessels, with an average accuracy of around 99.0%. Background: Artemisia argyi is a traditional herbal medicine belonging to the genus Artemisia that plays an important role in suppressing inflammation. However, the chemical constituents and underlying mechanisms of its therapeutic potential in neuroinflammation are still incompletely understood, and warrant further investigation. Methods: Several column chromatography were employed to isolate and purify chemical constituents from Artemisia argyi, and modern spectroscopy techniques were used to elucidate their chemical structures. The screening of monomeric compounds with nitric oxide inhibition led to the identification of the most effective bioactive compound, which was subsequently confirmed for its anti-inflammatory capability through qRT‒PCR. Predictions of compound-target interactions were made using the PharmMapper webserver and the TargetNet database, and an integrative protein-protein interaction network was constructed by intersecting the predicted targets with neuroinflammation-related targets. Topological analysis was performed to identify core targets, and molecular docking and molecular dynamics simulations were utilized to validate the findings. The result of the molecular simulations was experimentally validated through drug affinity responsive target stability (DARTS) and Western blot experiments. Results: Seventeen sesquiterpenoids, including fifteen known sesquiterpenoids and two newly discovered guaiane-type sesquiterpenoids (argyinolide S and argyinolide T) were isolated from Artemisia argyi. Bioactivity screening revealed that argyinolide S (AS) possessed the most potent anti-inflammatory activity. However, argyinolide T (AT) showed weak anti-inflammatory activity, so AS was the target compound for further study. AS may regulate neuroinflammation through its modulation of eleven core targets: protein kinase B 1 (AKT1), epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), proto-oncogene tyrosine-protein Kinase (FYN), Janus Kinase (JAK) 1, mitogen-activated protein (MAP) Kinase 1,8 and 14, matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP9), ras-related C3 botulinum toxin substrate 1 (RAC1), nuclear factor kappa-B p65 (RELA), and retinoid X receptor alpha (RXRA). Molecular dynamics simulations and DARTS experiments confirmed the stable binding of AS to JAK1, and Western blot experiments demonstrated the ability of AS to inhibit the phosphorylation of downstream Signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3) mediated by JAK1. Conclusions: The sesquiterpenoid compounds isolated from Artemisia argyi, exhibit significant inhibitory effects on inflammation in C57BL/6 murine microglia cells (BV-2). Among these compounds, AS, a newly discovered guaiane-type sesquiterpenoid in Artemisia argyi, has been demonstrated to effectively inhibit the occurrence of neuroinflammation by targeting JAK1. This study analyzes coupled atmosphere–ocean variability in the South Atlantic Ocean. To do so, we characterize the spatio-temporal variability of annual mean sea-surface temperature (SST) and sea-level pressure (SLP) using Multichannel Singular Spectrum Analysis (M-SSA). We applied M-SSA to ERA5 reanalysis data (1959–2022) of South Atlantic SST and SLP, both individually and jointly, and identified a nonlinear trend, as well as two climate oscillations. The leading oscillation, with a period of 13 years, consists of a basin-wide southwest–northeast dipole and is observed both in the individual variables and in the coupled analysis. This mode is reminiscent of the already known South Atlantic Dipole, and it is probably related to the Pacific Decadal Oscillation and to El Niño–Southern Oscillation in the Pacific Ocean. The second oscillation has a 5-year period and also displays a dipolar structure. The main difference between the spatial structure of the decadal, 13-year, and the interannual, 5-year mode is that, in the first one, the SST cold tongue region in the southeast Atlantic's Cape Basin is included in the pole closer to the equator. Together, these two oscillatory modes, along with the trend, capture almost 40% of the total interannual variability of the SST and SLP fields, and of their co-variability. These results provide further insights into the spatio-temporal evolution of SST and SLP variability in the South Atlantic, in particular as it relates to the South Atlantic Dipole and its predictability. The infrared and laser Raman spectra of 4, 5-dimethyl-2-nitroaniline were measured and used for experimental spectrum analysis for current work. On a computational level, Hartree-Fock and density functional theory were employed to perform geometry and vibrational spectral analysis. Here, scaled frequencies are displayed in addition to IR, Raman intensities, and decreased masses. Utilizing HF/6-31+G (d, p), HF/6-311++G (d, p), and B3LYP/6-31+G (d, p) approaches, the various thermodynamical parameters are tabulated. These include entropy, enthalpy, and specific heat. Pipelines are an important transportation form in industry. However, pipeline corrosion, particularly that occurring internally, poses a significant threat to safe operations. To detect the internal corrosion of a pipeline, a method utilizing piezoelectric sensors alongside singular spectrum analysis is proposed. Two piezoelectric patches are affixed to the exterior surface of the pipeline, serving the roles of an actuator and a sensor, respectively. During the detection, the signals excited by the actuator are transmitted through the pipeline's wall and are received by PZT2 through different paths, and the corresponding piezoelectric sensor captures the signals. Then, the response signals are denoised by singular spectrum analysis, and the first several wave packets in the response signals are selected to establish a feature for pipeline corrosion detection. At last, the envelope area of the selected packets is calculated as a feature to detect corrosion. To validate the proposed method, corrosion monitoring experiments are performed. The experimental results indicate that the envelope area of the first several wave packets from the response signals, following singular spectrum analysis, can serve as a feature to assess the degree of pipeline corrosion, and the index has a monotonic relationship with the corrosion depth of the pipeline. Summary: Diatoms are a diverse group of phytoplankton usually dominating areas characterized by rapidly shifting light conditions. Because of their high growth rates and interesting biochemical profile, their biomass is considered for various commercial applications. This study aimed at identifying strains with superior growth in a photobioreactor (PBR) by screening the natural intraspecific diversity of ecotypes isolated from different habitats. We investigated the effect of PBR light fluctuating on a millisecond scale (FL, simulating the light in a PBR) on 19 ecotypes of the diatom Skeletonema marinoi isolated from the North Sea–Baltic Sea area.We compare growth, pigment ratios, phylogeny, photo‐physiological variables and photoacclimation strategies between all strains and perform qPCR and absorption spectra analysis on a subset of strains.Our results show that the ecotypes responded differently to FL, and have contrasting photo‐physiological and photoprotective strategies. The strains from Kattegat performed better in FL, and shared common photoacclimation and photoprotection strategies that are the results of adaptation to the specific light climate of the Kattegat area.The strains that performed better with FL conditions had a high light (HL)‐acclimated phenotype coupled with unique nonphotochemical quenching features. As an emerging research hotspot in contemporary remote sensing, hyperspectral change detection (HCD) has attracted increasing attention in remote sensing Earth observation, covering land mapping changes and anomaly detection. This is primarily attributable to the unique capacity of hyperspectral imagery (HSI) to amalgamate both the spectral and spatial information in the scene, facilitating a more exhaustive analysis and change detection on the Earth's surface, proving to be successful across diverse domains, such as disaster monitoring and geological surveys. Although numerous HCD algorithms have been developed, most of them face three major challenges: (i) susceptibility to inherent data noise, (ii) inconsistent accuracy of detection, especially when dealing with multi-scale changes, and (iii) extensive hyperparameters and high computational costs. As such, we propose a singular spectrum analysis-driven-lightweight network for HCD, where three crucial components are incorporated to tackle these challenges. Firstly, singular spectrum analysis (SSA) is applied to alleviate the effect of noise. Next, a 2-D self-attention-based spatial–spectral feature-extraction module is employed to effectively handle multi-scale changes. Finally, a residual block-based module is designed to effectively extract the spectral features for efficiency. Comprehensive experiments on three publicly available datasets have fully validated the superiority of the proposed SSA-LHCD model over eight state-of-the-art HCD approaches, including four deep learning models. In this paper, we construct a new 4 - D hyperchaotic system with a nonlinear term in the form of an exponential function. The system is derived from a modified 3 - D Lü system. Firstly, we discuss the qualitative properties of the proposed system, using tools such as hyperchaotic attractors, symmetry, dissipation, equilibrium points, and Lyapunov spectrum for analysis. Next, we present an adaptive controller for stability analysis of the system. An active controller is designed to achieve complete synchronization between two identical systems. To improve the accuracy of monthly temporal gravity field models for the Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) and the GRACE Follow-On (GRACE-FO) missions, a new series named HUST-Grace2024 is determined based on the updated L1B datasets (GRACE L1B RL03 and GRACE-FO L1B RL04) and the newest atmosphere and ocean de-aliasing product (AOD1B RL07). Compared to the previous HUST temporal gravity field model releases, we have made the following improvements related to updating the background models and the processing chain: (1) during the satellite onboard events, the inter-satellite pointing angles are calculated to pinpoint outliers in the K-band ranging (KBR) range-rate and accelerometer observations. To exclude outliers, the advisable threshold is 50 mrad for KBR range rates and 20 mrad for accelerations. (2) To relieve the impacts of KBR range-rate noise at different frequencies, a hybrid data-weighting method is proposed. Kinematic empirical parameters are used to reduce the low-frequency noise, while a stochastic model is designed to relieve the impacts of random noise above 10 mHz. (3) A fully populated scale factor matrix is used to improve the quality of accelerometer calibration. Analyses in the spectral and spatial domains are then implemented, which demonstrate that HUST-Grace2024 yields a noticeable reduction of 10 % to 30 % in noise level and retains consistent amplitudes of signal content over 48 river basins compared with the official GRACE and GRACE-FO solutions. These evaluations confirm that our aforementioned efforts lead to a better temporal gravity field series. Simple Summary: The current devices and methods for dosimetry of personalized photodynamic therapy of tumors have several disadvantages. For instance, they are unable to evaluate the entire tumor volume at great depth, and they lack the capacity to provide an accurate estimate of the effective light dose. Furthermore, they are limited by their ability to evaluate either only the photosensitizer concentration or only the hemoglobin oxygenation at a specific point on the tissue surface or the average value based on the finite tissue volume at little depth. Despite the advances in photodynamic therapy, the development of a precise and dependable methodology to ascertain the optimal light dosage for a given tumor remains a significant challenge. This is due to the pivotal role of light dosage in determining the efficacy of treatment outcomes. Significance: Despite the widespread use of photodynamic therapy in clinical practice, there is a lack of personalized methods for assessing the sufficiency of photodynamic exposure on tumors, depending on tissue parameters that change during light irradiation. This can lead to different treatment results. Aim: The objective of this article was to conduct a comprehensive review of devices and methods employed for the implicit dosimetric monitoring of personalized photodynamic therapy for tumors. Methods: The review included 88 peer-reviewed research articles published between January 2010 and April 2024 that employed implicit monitoring methods, such as fluorescence imaging and diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. Additionally, it encompassed computer modeling methods that are most often and successfully used in preclinical and clinical practice to predict treatment outcomes. The Internet search engine Google Scholar and the Scopus database were used to search the literature for relevant articles. Results: The review analyzed and compared the results of 88 peer-reviewed research articles presenting various methods of implicit dosimetry during photodynamic therapy. The most prominent wavelengths for PDT are in the visible and near-infrared spectral range such as 405, 630, 660, and 690 nm. Conclusions: The problem of developing an accurate, reliable, and easily implemented dosimetry method for photodynamic therapy remains a current problem, since determining the effective light dose for a specific tumor is a decisive factor in achieving a positive treatment outcome. The statistical analysis was conducted towards multiple pairwise comparisons, including a support medium (without cells) versus a support medium with nanoparticles, normal cells versus normal cells with nanoparticles, and, respectively, tumor cells versus tumor cells with nanoparticles. When generally comparing the ATR procedure and transmission measurement procedure for a broader frequency domain, the differentiation between normal and tumor cells in the presence of contrast agents is superior when using the ATR procedure. THz contrast enhancement by using contrast agents derived from MRI-related contrast agents leads to only limited benefits and only for narrow THz frequency ranges, a disadvantage for THz medical imaging.
