Abstract
The article examines the rich and informative collection of papers from the conference as tribute to Joseph Slavenski. According to the author , the conference simulated the members of local both in middle and younger generations of musicologist. Each collection is carefully reviewed and analysis of the authors private personal life, his music, his attitude towards European identity, and his stylistic approach to modernism.
