Over the last decades, the emergence of new technologies has brought changes in all areas of social life, including the education sector. Among those, artificial intelligence (AI), after many years playing a secondary role, has recently positioned itself as one with the most capacity for disruption. The newest AI tools have the potential to meaningfully transform various education areas, particularly at the university level. This paper presents a comparative analysis of the opinions of media students from Spain and Serbia on the use of ChatGPT in the learning process. The aim of the work is to determine the similarities and differences in the opinions of students in relation to the following aspects: intention to use, benefits and challenges and potential for personalised learning. A qualitative research method, with structured written interview, was used on a sample of 40 students of the initial years of media studies from universities in both countries. The results indicate that there are similarities and differences in the opinions of media students about using ChatGPT for learning. The findings provide insight into the opinions of media students as key subjects in the learning process and can be a starting point for further research aimed at understanding the role of AI tools and their application in higher education. The paper analyses the Screening Proposal presented by the European Commission as part of the New Pact on Migration and Asylum. The aim is to clarify what would be new and old in the EU’s legal framework and practices at the external borders, focusing mainly on immigration detention. In particular, the study addresses possible changes and continuities in detention policies. The research conducts a legal analysis aimed at determining the level of legal certainty and identifying legal loopholes and shortcomings. In order to contrast the results of the analysis, the study focuses on the Spanish legal system on border and migration control. Specifically, the study analyses the impact of an eventual adoption of the Screening Proposal on the Spanish border detention system. As a result, the research highlights that the current detention mechanisms in Spain already fulfil the functions pursued by the screening and border procedures proposed as new in the Pact. Furthermore, the approval of the Screening Proposal would entail constitutional and legal amendments that would reduce the scope of migrants’ human rights and procedural guarantees at Spanish borders. The paper argues that, if the proposal is approved, screening and pre-entry border procedures still should meet a set of human rights basic standards and international obligations, according the current legal framework and the case-law of regional courts. EL CONTROL PREVIO A LA ENTRADA Y LOS PROCEDIMIENTOS FRONTERIZOS COMO NUEVOS DISPOSITIVOS DE DETENCIÓN EN EL PACTO DE MIGRACIÓN Y ASILO DE LA UE. LAS FRONTERAS ESPAÑOLAS COMO LABORATORIO DE LAS POLÍTICAS DE INMOVILIDAD El artículo analiza la Propuesta de Screening presentada por la Comisión Europea como parte del Nuevo Pacto sobre Migración y Asilo. El objetivo es aclarar qué hay de nuevo y de antiguo en el marco jurídico y las prácticas de la UE en las fronteras exteriores. En particular, el estudio aborda los posibles cambios y continuidades en las políticas de detención. La investigación lleva a cabo un análisis jurídico dirigido a determinar el nivel de seguridad jurídica e identificar las lagunas y deficiencias legales. Para contrastar los resultados del análisis, el estudio se centra en el ordenamiento jurídico español en materia de control fronterizo y migratorio. En concreto, el trabajo analiza el impacto de una eventual adopción de la Propuesta de Screening sobre el sistema español de detención en frontera. Como resultado, la investigación pone de relieve que los actuales mecanismos de detención en España ya cumplen las funciones que persiguen los procedimientos fronterizos propuestos como nuevos en el Pacto. Además, la aprobación de la Propuesta de Screening conllevaría modificaciones constitucionales y legales que reducirían el alcance de los derechos humanos de los migrantes y las garantías procesales en las fronteras españolas. El trabajo sostiene que, si se aprueba la propuesta, el screening y todos los procedimientos fronterizos previos a la entrada deberían seguir cumpliendo una serie de normas básicas de derechos humanos y obligaciones internacionales, de acuerdo con el marco jurídico actual y la jurisprudencia de los tribunales regionales. LE CONTROLE PREALABLE A L’ENTREE ET LES PROCEDURES AUX FRONTIERES COMME NOUVEAUX DISPOSITIFS DE DETENTION DANS LE PACTE EUROPEEN SUR LES MIGRATIONS ET L’ASILE. LES FRONTIERES ESPAGNOLES COMME LABORATOIRE DES POLITIQUES D’IMMOBILITE L’article analyse la proposition de filtrage présentée par la Commission européenne dans le cadre du nouveau pacte sur la migration et l’asile. L’objectif est de clarifier ce qui est nouveau et ce qui est ancien dans le cadre juridique et les pratiques de l’UE aux frontières extérieures. En particulier, l’étude aborde les changements possibles et les continuités dans les politiques de détention. L’étude procède à une analyse juridique visant à déterminer le niveau de sécurité juridique et à identifier les lacunes et les insuffisances juridiques. Pour contraster les résultats de l’analyse, l’étude se concentre sur le système juridique espagnol dans le domaine du contrôle des frontières et de la migration. Plus précisément, l’étude analyse l’impact d’une éventuelle adoption de la proposition de filtrage sur le système espagnol de détention aux frontières. Il en résulte que les mécanismes actuels de détention en Espagne remplissent déjà les fonctions poursuivies par les procédures frontalières proposées comme nouvelles dans le Pacte. En outre, l’approbation de la proposition de filtrage entraînerait des modifications constitutionnelles et juridiques qui réduiraient la portée des droits de des migrants et des garanties procédurales aux frontières espagnoles. L’étude affirme que, si la proposition est adoptée, le screening et toutes les procédures de pré-entrée aux frontières devraient continuer à respecter un ensemble de normes fondamentales en matière de droits de l’homme et d’obligations internationales, conformément au cadre juridique actuel et à la jurisprudence des tribunaux régionaux.

The role of artificial intelligence and its place in the new disinformation strategies is perhaps one of the most difficult issues to focus on nowadays, since we are at the beginning of a process of definition and ways of exploration. In this paper, first of all, we analyze the different approaches that are being applied to the regulation of artificial intelligence and that may affect the different disinformation strategies that are being identified. Secondly, we study how artificial intelligence is being used to identify disinformation content. In this regard, from the point of view of verification processes, one of the main challenges is when identifying deepfakes (images and video, mainly) linked to news cycles. From this perspective, a typology of deepfakes is proposed and its main characteristics will be described according to the verifications carried out by the Spanish fact-checking organizations. Finally, a set of recommendations will be presented to work from a media literacy point of view with the identification of deepfakes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper aims to analyse the level of commitment with the SDGs of large Spanish companies based on the information published in their Non-Financial Statements and their letters from the chairman. To achieve this objective and identify potential explanatory factors, a balanced sample of 58 Spanish companies, 29 listed and 29 unlisted, in 2019 has been used. The results of this study evidence: i) the greater commitment with the SDGs of companies which are exposed in the stock markets and those which are larger; ii) the relevance of the diversity into the boards of directors, in order to integrate the largest and the widest number of interests as well as those values and principles which are intrinsically associated to women directors; and iii) the greater emphasis on those SDGs related to well-known issues by these organizations, thanks to their greater experience in non-financial reporting, publishing documents such as corporate social responsibility or sustainability reports. The economic crisis has had an asymmetric effect on Spanish and regional/local economies. This study aims to analyze the strategies developed by cooperative wineries in Castilla-La Mancha (CLM) and their impact on performance measurements. The paper opted for an exploratory study based on a compilation of financial statements consisting of the traditional economic-financial profitability ratios (ROA, ROI, ROS) plus a specific analysis, Return of Owner Cooperative (ROC). We have also used two financial measurements: Liquidity and Leverage. Trade dynamism is the hallmark of wine cooperatives in CLM in terms of strategic action in the face of a crisis. Their resilience is patent in the conquest of foreign markets via low unit costs, which have been transferred to sales prices. The paper has implications for the understanding of the resilience of the agricultural cooperatives during the crisis period in question. The consistency of the results provides a context to promote the cooperative model as an essential factor in the social economy. This paper looks at a sample of small and medium entities in Spain and analyzes the effect of the vulnerability of sectors to insolvency on their survival and the probability that they will go bankrupt. We collected data from solvent and insolvent firms in Spain over the period 2012-2016, and grouped them according to the percentage of insolvencies by sector (highest, lowest, and a reference group). The results show that no differences in the endurance of the firms emerge among the groups, while some variables appear to be relevant when the logit analysis is applied. Survival depends on liquidity and size in all industries, but profitability and turnover are also essential for the group with the highest levels of insolvency. The probability of bankruptcy is mainly explained by turnover and short-term solvency. Size and turnover have negative effects on bankruptcy. Age is also a common factor, but with a different interpretation for each technique. The main contribution of this paper is the analysis of insolvency in the two dimensions of survival and probability according to the sectorial insolvency rate. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In the recent report The Impact of Influencers on Advertising and Consumer Protection in the Single Market the European Parliament mentions the use of nudity and sexual content and the role of perceptions and expectations towards body image and perfect images. What most moves consumers' attitudes and behavioral intentions is the credibility, attractiveness (both physical and in terms of familiarity and likability), expertise, trustworthiness, popularity, prestige and high power of the influencers. In Spain two White Papers on influencer marketing indicate that a common form of socialization, especially for girls and women, consists of showing a sexy or a perfect body and projecting an egocentric image. The aim of this research is to analyze the presence of self-objectification in top influencers in Spain and to identify its relationship with either social values of success and recognition or stereotypes. The methodology carried out has been a content analysis of 246 images of the first 14 top influencers that appear in the Report of the 500 most influential men and women influencers in Spain in 2022. From a previous literature review, the analysis has been conducted with a deductiveinductive research paradigm through coding with QSR Nvivo the following categories of selfobjectification: (1) sexy self-presentation; (2) appearance-centered attitude towards one's own perfect body - egocentric image; (3) stereotypical gender representation; and (4) success, social recognition, or popularity. The results show that self-objectification is more predominant in women than in men, and that it has an important correspondence with the self-perception of the professions they have as well as with age, being mainly belonging to the Z Generation. Both women and men who selfperceive themselves as having professions in which physical appearance is relevant (models or actors) tend to objectify themselves more. However, success and social recognition are more evident in those male influencers who emphasize their professional facet and do not resort to self-sexualization of their bodies (businessmen, advertisers or youtubers). El objetivo de este trabajo es exponer la forma en que la Unión Europea ha llevado a cabo la política de promoción de inteligencia artificial, en el marco del proceso modernizador de las Administraciones públicas en España, y más concretamente, de la Administración General del Estado español. La evolución de la innovación tecnológica asociada a esta tecnología data de principios del siglo actual. Su implantación en la Administración pública española lleva un camino paralelo al de la implantación en la Unión Europea, principalmente porque la tendencia de este modelo de innovación es que esté vinculada a los cambios en los ámbitos económico, político y social que sugiere su utilización, por la trasposición de directivas para su implantación (que también es característica de este modelo), y porque se puede considerar una tecnología inspiradora de nuevos avances en la forma de relacionar a las administraciones con ciudadanos y empresas. Son estos argumentos importantes para su consideración como motor de las políticas de promoción actuales de las Tecnologías de la Información y las Comunicaciones, no solo por ser tendencia en el mercado, sino porque de su buena adaptación depende que su gran potencial llegue a ser una realidad en el día a día de las administraciones.
