In this editorial, we briefly summarized the International Conference on Intelligent Biology and Medicine 2019 (ICIBM 2019) that was held on June 9–11, 2019 at Columbus, Ohio, USA. We further introduced the 19 research articles included in this supplement issue, covering four major areas, namely computational method development, genomics analysis, network-based analysis and biomarker prediction. The selected papers perform cutting edge computational research applied to a broad range of human diseases such as cancer, neural degenerative and chronic inflammatory disease. They also proposed solutions for fundamental medical genomics problems range from basic data processing and quality control to functional interpretation, biomarker and drug prediction, and database releasing. The article presents information about the 2005 Annual Meeting of the Mid-Western Educational Research Association (MWERA) that will be held in Columbus, Ohio, during October 12-15, 2005. The 28th International ACES conference was held during April 10—14, 2012, at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Columbus, Ohio. It was co-chaired by Profs. Jin-Fa Lee and Kubilay Sertel from The Ohio State University. This yearly conference, organized by the Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society, brings together hundreds of researchers, academics, practitioners, and exhibitors to discuss new trends and techniques for solving real-life problems, encompassing all aspects of electromagnetic waves. It also showcases the latest applications of established techniques and commercially available software packages. This year's meeting was a great success, with over 260 attendees from all around the world. The program included four plenary sessions and 28 parallel technical sessions. This article grows out of a workshop conducted at the XVI International Congress on PCP, Columbus, Ohio, in July 2005. Its intention is to show how qualitative repertory grids (Procter, 2002) are useful in mapping construing in a family. The article focuses on the Academic Business Library Directors' (ABLD's) meeting was held at the Fisher College of Business on the campus of the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, from May 2 to 5, 2003. Meetings were held at the Pfahl Executive Conference Center, which is part of the Fisher College of Business complex. The meeting got underway with greetings from Joseph Branin, Director of Ohio State University Libraries, who welcomed the participants to campus. The May 2 program was designed to give vendors an opportunity to speak to the group about their ideas and outlook on the information industry. It was an instructional session rather than being a sales-oriented gathering, with an emphasis on industry trends which impact libraries. This segment of the meeting was in addition to the traditional two-day meeting of the ABLD. On May 3-4, the group's agenda followed the established precedent of presentations, panel discussions and a business meeting. The ABLD Group visited the OCLC Headquarters in Dublin, Ohio on Monday morning, May 5, as the final activity of the weekend.

This article focuses on the conference titled Religion in Country Life organized by the American Country Life Association held in Columbus, Ohio. The first part of the conference was devoted to diagnosing the patient, to finding out what is wrong with the country church. It was agreed that before remedies could be applied, it would be necessary to find out the diseases from which the patient was suffering. The outstanding fact, the fact upon which everyone was agreed, was that the country church today does not serve the needs of modern rural U.S. The declining influence of the country church is due to its failure to serve the needs of rural people. Because the churches are failing to serve the needs of the people, the people are losing interest in the churches. It was unanimously agreed that this was the most successful conference so far held by the American Country Life Association. There were 260 members present; and, all told, around 700 people representing practically all the states and the Canadian provinces attended the discussions.

This article presents information about the National Women's Studies Conference, conducted by the Ohio State University at Columbus, Ohio, during June 26-30, 1983. There was a strong effort made by Judith Mayne and the organizers at Ohio State to do more to integrate film into the conference than in the past. There were about six panels ranging from the theoretical to the more practical applications of how to use a variety of women's films in the classroom, there were screenings every evening ranging from short experimental films to more traditional documentaries to experimental narratives. The conference was dominated by the intellectual traditions of the humanities, mainly English and History with a smattering of the Social Sciences.
