Purpose: Paper-based artifacts hold significant cultural and social values. However, paper is intrinsically fragile to microorganisms, such as mold, due to its cellulose composition, which can serve as a microorganisms' nutrient source. Mold not only can damage papers' structural integrity and pose significant challenges to conservation works but also may subject individuals attending the contaminated artifacts to health risks. Current approaches for strain identification usually require extensive training, prolonged time for analysis, expensive operation costs, and higher risks of secondary damage due to sampling. Thus, in current conservation practices with mold-contaminated artifacts, little pre-screening or strain identification was performed before mold removal, and the cleaning techniques are usually broad-spectrum rather than strain-specific. With deep learning showing promising applications across various domains, this study investigated the feasibility of using a convolutional neural network (CNN) for fast in-situ recognition and classification of mold on paper. Methods: Molds were first non-invasively sampled from ancient Xuan Paper-based Chinese books from the Qing and Ming dynasties. Strains were identified using molecular biology methods and the four most prevalent strains were inoculated on Xuan paper to create mockups for image collection. Microscopic images of the molds as well as their stains situated on paper were collected using a compound microscope and commercial microscope lens for cell phone cameras, which were then used for training CNN models with a transfer learning scheme to perform the classification of mold. To enable involvement and contribution from the research community, a web interface that actuates the process while providing interactive features for users to learn about the information of the classified strain was constructed. Moreover, a feedback functionality in the web interface was embedded for catching potential classification errors, adding additional training images, or introducing new strains, all to refine the generalizability and robustness of the model. Results & Conclusion: In the study, we have constructed a suite of high-confidence classification CNN models for the diagnostic process for mold contamination in conservation. At the same time, a web interface was constructed that allows recurrently refining the model with human feedback through engaging the research community. Overall, the proposed framework opens new avenues for effective and timely identification of mold, thus enabling proactive and targeted mold remediation strategies in conservation. The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to preserve and promote cultural heritage has experienced significant growth in recent years. Among the various areas of cultural heritage, numismatics have emerged as a particularly promising field where we can develop AI solutions. Numismatics refers to the study of coins, tokens, paper money, and medals, which play a critical role in understanding human history and culture. However, there are still limited resources available to help researchers and collectors in the identification of coins. This is due to the vast number of coins in circulation, which presents a significant challenge in developing smart tools for classification tasks. This paper aims to provide a contribution to this setting. In particular, we start by creating a new dataset called EURO-Coin, which consists of images showing the side of coins with reliefs and is designed to facilitate the training and testing of AI models for euro coin classification. Then, we propose two approaches that leverage Convolutional Neural Networks and self-attention layers to classify the country and value of the coins. In our experiments, we obtain an accuracy of 86.9% for country classification and an accuracy of 96.4% for value classification. One of the pandemics that have caused many deaths is the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). It first appeared in late 2019, and many deaths are increasing day by day until now. Therefore, the early diagnosis of COVID-19 has become a salient issue. Additionally, the current diagnosis methods have several demerits, and a new investigation is required to enhance the diagnosis performance. In this paper, a set of phases are performed, such as collecting data, filtering and augmenting images, extracting features, and classifying ECG images. The data were obtained from two publicly available ECG image datasets, and one of them contained COVID ECG reports. A set of preprocessing methods are applied to the ECG images, and data augmentation is performed to balance the ECG images based on the classes. A deep learning approach based on a convolutional neural network (CNN) is performed for feature extraction. Four different pre-trained models are applied, such as Vgg16, Vgg19, ResNet-101, and Xception. Moreover, an ensemble of Xception and the temporary convolutional network (TCN), which is named ECGConvnet, is proposed. Finally, the results obtained from the former models are fed to four main classifiers. These classifiers are softmax, random forest (RF), multilayer perception (MLP), and support vector machine (SVM). The former classifiers are used to evaluate the diagnosis ability of the proposed methods. The classification scenario is based on fivefold cross-validation. Seven experiments are presented to evaluate the performance of the ECGConvnet. Three of them are multi-class, and the remaining are binary class diagnosing. Six out of seven experiments diagnose COVID-19 patients. The aforementioned experimental results indicated that ECGConvnet has the highest performance over other pre-trained models, and the SVM classifier showed higher accuracy in comparison with the other classifiers. The resulting accuracies from ECGConvnet based on SVM are (99.74%, 98.6%, 99.1% on the multi-class diagnosis tasks) and (99.8% on one of the binary-class diagnoses, while the remaining achieved 100%). Microfluidic paper-based analytical devices (μPADs) have been widely used in point-of-care testing owing to their simple operation, low volume of the sample required, and the lack of the need for an external force. To obtain accurate semi-quantitative or quantitative results, μPADs need to respond to the challenges posed by differences in reaction conditions. In this paper, multi-layer μPADs are fabricated by the imprinting method for the colorimetric detection of C-reactive protein (CRP). Different lighting conditions and shooting angles of scenes are simulated in image acquisition, and the detection-related performance of μPADs is improved by using a machine learning algorithm. The You Only Look Once (YOLO) model is used to identify the areas of reaction in μPADs. This model can observe an image only once to predict the objects present in it and their locations. The YOLO model trained in this study was able to identify all the reaction areas quickly without incurring any error. These reaction areas were categorized by classification algorithms to determine the risk level of CRP concentration. Multi-layer perceptron, convolutional neural network, and residual network algorithms were used for the classification tasks, where the latter yielded the highest accuracy of 96%. The paper industry manufactures corrugated cardboard packaging, which is unassembled and stacked on pallets to be supplied to its customers. Human operators usually classify these pallets according to the physical features of the cardboard packaging. This process can be slow, causing congestion on the production line. To optimise the logistics of this process, we propose a visual recognition and tracking pipeline that monitors the palletised packaging while it is moving inside the factory on roller conveyors. Our pipeline has a two-stage architecture composed of Convolutional Neural Networks, one for oriented pallet detection and recognition, and another with which to track identified pallets. We carried out an extensive study using different methods for the pallet detection and tracking tasks and discovered that the oriented object detection approach was the most suitable. Our proposal recognises and tracks different configurations and visual appearance of palletised packaging, providing statistical data in real time with which to assist human operators in decision-making. We tested the precision-performance of the system at the Smurfit Kappa facilities. Our proposal attained an Average Precision (AP) of 0.93 at 14 Frames Per Second (FPS), losing only 1% of detections. This paper presents a convolutional neural network (CNN) to classify between the conventionally and organically cultivated Memecik varieties of green olives. The image forming method called the rising paper chromatography is utilized in preparing the images of Memecik varieties of green olives for CNN. In the rising chromatography method, 20, 30, and 40% sample concentrations were determined as the suitable concentrations for both organic and conventional olives. The concentrations of AgNO3 and FeSO4 were determined as 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 and 1% for both conventional and organic samples. The visual differences used for differentiation of different types of Memecik green olives are usually determined according to the regional color differences, the vivid color occurrence, the width and the frequency of bowl occurrence, the thin line, and the picks at drop zone by the expert assessors. The testing results in this study verified the effectiveness of the CNN methodology in differentiating between the organically and conventionally cultivated Memecik green olives. The newly designed neural network achieved 100% accuracy. Furthermore, this high accuracy achieved by CNN might suggest that it can be effectively used in place of the expert assessors. This paper aims to craft adversarial queries for image retrieval, which uses image features for similarity measurement. Many commonly used methods are developed in the context of image classification. However, these methods, which attack prediction probabilities, only exert an indirect influence on the image features and are thus found less effective when being applied to the retrieval problem. In designing an attack method specifically for image retrieval, we introduce opposite-direction feature attack (ODFA), a white-box attack approach that directly attacks query image features to generate adversarial queries. As the name implies, the main idea underpinning ODFA is to impel the original image feature to the opposite direction, similar to a U-turn. This simple idea is experimentally evaluated on five retrieval datasets. We show that the adversarial queries generated by ODFA cause true matches no longer to be seen at the top ranks, and the attack success rate is consistently higher than classifier attack methods. In addition, our method of creating adversarial queries can be extended for multi-scale query inputs and is generalizable to other retrieval models without foreknowing their weights, i.e., the black-box setting. This paper provides an overview of the applications of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) in the railway maintenance industry. Our research covers specifically the subdomain of railway track maintenance. In this study, we have analyzed the state-of-the-art of CNNs applied to railway track maintenance by conducting an extensive literature review, summarizing different tasks and problems related to the topic and presenting solutions based on CNNs with a special emphasis on the data used to create these models. The results of our research show different applications of CNNs within the scope, including the detection of defects in the surface of railway rails and railway track components, such as fasteners, joints, sleepers, switches and crossings, as well as the recognition of track components, and the continuous monitoring of railway tracks. The architecture of CNNs is fitting to learning spatial hierarchies of features directly from the input data, making them of great use for Computer Vision and other applications related to the topic at hand. The implementation of IoT devices and smart sensors aid the collection of real-time data which can be used to feed powerful CNN models to recognize patterns and identify complex events related to the maintenance of railway tracks. Since 2008, a variety of systems have been designed to detect events in security cameras. There are also more than a hundred journal articles and conference papers published in this field. However, no survey has focused on recognizing events in the surveillance system. Thus, motivated us to provide a comprehensive review of the different developed event detection systems. We start our discussion with the pioneering methods that used the TRECVid-SED dataset and then developed methods using VIRAT dataset in TRECVid evaluation. To better understand the designed systems, we describe the components of each method and the modifications of the existing method separately. We have outlined the significant challenges related to untrimmed security video action detection. Suitable metrics are also presented for assessing the performance of the proposed models. Our study indicated that the majority of researchers classified events into two groups on the basis of the number of participants and the duration of the event for the TRECVid-SED Dataset. Depending on the group of events, one or more models to identify all the events were used. For the VIRAT dataset, object detection models to localize the first stage activities were used throughout the work. Except one study, a 3D convolutional neural network (3D-CNN) to extract Spatio-temporal features or classifying different activities were used. From the review that has been carried, it is possible to conclude that developing an automatic surveillance event detection system requires three factors: accurate and fast object detection in the first stage to localize the activities, and classification model to draw some conclusion from the input values. Code smells violate software development principles that make the software more prone to errors and changes. Researchers have developed code smell detectors using manual and semi-automatic methods to identify these issues. However, three key challenges have limited the practical use of these detectors: developers' subjective perceptions of code smells, lack of consensus in the detection process, and difficulty in setting appropriate detection thresholds. While code smell detection using machine learning has progressed significantly, there still appears to be a gap in understanding the effective utilization of deep learning (DL) approaches. This paper aims to review and identify current methods for code smell detection using DL techniques. A systematic literature review is conducted on 35 primary studies from a collection of 8739 publications between 2013 and the present. The analysis reveals that common code smells detected include Feature Envy, God Classes, Long Methods, Complex Classes, and Large Classes. The most popular DL algorithms used are Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), often combined with other techniques for better results. Algorithms that train models on large datasets with fewer independent variables demonstrate exemplary performance. In this paper, we recognize serial numbers on banknotes using deep learning. The samples used in this paper are digital images which have been preprocessed with data labelling and data augmentation, e.g., scaling transformation, etc. The algorithms based on deep learning are proposed and have the stability for serial number recognition with complex backgrounds. In this paper, a pipeline of deep neural networks is established for the recognition of banknote serial numbers. Because high reliability is more important than accuracy in financial applications, DenseNet is set forth as the primary classifier, the scaling transformation of SegLink is put forward to locate the characters, the detection rate is up to 95.80%. Complex signals can be viewed as compositions of numerous sine waves with different frequencies and amplitudes. As the fundamental unit of perceiving image features, traditional Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) typically employ convolutional kernels without direct constraints. However, human perception of the world is inherently structured, relevant studies have indicated that considering the potential underlying correlation structures among data features or variables holds significant value, with particular emphasis on symmetric transformations in representation learning gaining attention in the field of neuroscience. Inspired by the process of human visual concept perception and classic image feature detection operators, when the convolution kernels have a similar scale to the objects, they produce larger responses. This paper introduces constraints on model parameters using centrosymmetric convolutional kernels. Under the influence of nonlinear combinations and local connections in neural networks, these kernels can diversely represent or perceive local image features. Experimental comparisons are conducted, and it is observed that the approach proposed in this paper not only enhances the convergence and accuracy of model, but also reduces the model solution space, resulting in an interpretable perception of local concepts. In this paper, a method based on transfer learning is proposed to recover the three-dimensional shape of cultural relics faces from a single old photo. It can simultaneously reconstruct the three-dimensional facial structure and align the texture of the cultural relics with fewer training samples. The UV position map is used to represent the three-dimensional shape in space and act as the output of the network. A convolutional neural network is used to reconstruct the UV position map from a single 2D image. In the training process, the human face data is used for pre-training, and then a small amount of artifact data is used for fine-tuning. A deep learning model with strong generalization ability is trained with fewer artifact data, and a three-dimensional model of the cultural relic face can be reconstructed from a single old photograph. The methods can train more complex deep networks without a large amount of cultural relic data, and no over-fitting phenomenon occurs, which effectively solves the problem of fewer cultural relic samples. The method is verified by restoring a Chinese Terracotta Warrior with facial cracks and a Buddha with a broken nose. Other applications can be used in the fields such as texture recovery, facial feature extraction, and three-dimensional model estimation of the damaged cultural relics or sculptures in the photos. Most face recognition networks based on convolutional neural networks are easily affected by nonlinear factors of expression and posture, and the single task cannot adapt to multi-task scenarios. In addition, there is still room for further utilization of convolution kernels. Therefore, this paper proposes a multi-task aided face recognition network with convolution kernel spatial collaboration. The network is based on GhostNet, and the auxiliary task branch of expression and posture is added, which reduces the influence of nonlinear factors of expression and posture on face recognition, and enables the network to recognize expression and posture so that the network can adapt to the situation of more tasks. On this basis, the convolution of convolution is improved to increase its generality on grouped convolution, and it is applied to the cheap operation of Ghost Module so that the network can further use the convolution kernel to learn additional feature maps. Finally, a multi-task feature fusion module is proposed, which combines the shared features extracted from the backbone network with the features of the branch network, and further utilizes the features between different tasks to improve the performance of each task. The proposed method was compared with the existing methods based on deep learning on different datasets. The experimental results show that the proposed method has better recognition performance in face recognition, and the model size and inference speed are close to the lightweight network, which is suitable for more tasks. This paper considers the area of digital forensics (DF). One of the problem in DF is the issue of identification of digital cameras based on images. This aspect has been attractive in recent years due to popularity of social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter etc., where lots of photographs are shared. Although many algorithms and methods for digital camera identification have been proposed, there is lack of research about their robustness. Therefore, in this paper the robustness of digital camera identification with the use of convolutional neural network is discussed. It is assumed that images may be of poor quality, for example, degraded by Poisson noise, Gaussian blur, random noise or removing pixels' least significant bit. Experimental evaluation conducted on two large image datasets (including Dresden Image Database) confirms usefulness of proposed method, where noised images are recognized with almost the same high accuracy as normal images. Clinical reports show that COVID-19 disease has impacts on the cardiovascular system in addition to the respiratory system. Available COVID-19 diagnostic methods have been shown to have limitations. In addition to current diagnostic methods such as low-sensitivity standard RT-PCR tests and expensive medical imaging devices, the development of alternative methods for the diagnosis of COVID-19 disease would be beneficial for control of the COVID-19 pandemic. Further, it is important to quickly and accurately detect abnormalities caused by COVID-19 on the cardiovascular system via ECG. In this study, the diagnosis of COVID-19 disease is proposed using a novel deep Convolutional Neural Network model by using only ECG trace images created from ECG signals of COVID-19 infected patients based on the abnormalities caused by the COVID-19 virus on the cardiovascular system. An overall classification accuracy of 98.57%, 93.20%, 96.74% and AUC value of 0.9966, 0.9771, 0.9905 is achieved for COVID-19 vs. Normal, COVID-19 vs. Abnormal Heartbeats, COVID-19 vs. Myocardial Infarction binary classification tasks, respectively. In addition, an overall classification accuracy of 86.55% and 83.05% is achieved for COVID-19 vs. Abnormal Heartbeats vs. Myocardial Infarction and Normal vs. COVID-19 vs. Abnormal Heartbeats vs. Myocardial Infarction multi-classification tasks. Traditional sentiment analysis focuses on text-level sentiment mining, transforming sentiment mining into classification or regression problems, resulting in a sentiment analysis low accuracy rate. Sentiment analysis refers to the use of natural language processing, text analysis, and computational linguistics to systematically identify, extract, quantify, and study sentimental states. Therefore, more scholars have begun to focus on speech recognition and facial expression recognition research, and extracting and analysing people's sentiment tendencies can improve sentiment recognition accuracy. Traditional single-modal sentiment analysis can no longer meet people's needs. Therefore, this paper proposes a multimodal sentiment analysis method based on the multimodal sentiment analysis method that can obtain more sentimental information sources and help people make better decisions. The experimental results in this paper show that the highest recognition rates of CNN-SVM, RNN-SVM, and CRNN-SVM were 76.8%, 71.2%, and 93.5%, respectively. It can be seen that CRNN-SVM has the highest sentiment tendency recognition rate in deep learning, so it is suitable to apply CRNN-SVM to sentiment tendency analysis system design in this paper. The average accuracy rate of the system designed in this paper was 91%, and the stability was also very strong, which shows that the system designed in this paper is meaningful. This paper proposes a weakly-supervised structural surface crack detection algorithm that can detect the crack area in an image with low data labeling cost. The algorithm consists of a convolutional neural networks Vgg16-Crack for classification, an improved and optimized class activation map (CAM) algorithm for accurately reflecting the position and distribution of cracks in the image, and a method that combines superpixel segmentation algorithm simple linear iterative clustering (SLIC) with CAM for more accurate semantic segmentation of cracks. In addition, this paper uses Bayesian optimization algorithm to obtain the optimal parameter combination that maximizes the performance of the model. Due to the uncertainty of weather conditions and the nonlinearity of high-dimensional data, as well as the need for a continuous and stable power supply to the power system, traditional regression analysis and time series forecasting methods are no longer able to meet the high accuracy requirements of today's PV power forecasting. To significantly improve the prediction accuracy of short-term PV output power, this paper proposes a short-term PV power forecasting method based on a hybrid model of temporal convolutional networks and gated recurrent units with an efficient channel attention network (TCN-ECANet-GRU) using the generated data of an Australian PV power station as the research object. First, temporal convolutional networks (TCNs) are used as spatial feature extraction layers, and an efficient channel attention network (ECANet) is embedded to enhance the feature capture capability of the convolutional network. Then, the GRU is used to extract the timing information for the final prediction. Finally, based on the experimental validation, the TCN-ECANet-GRU method generally outperformed the other baseline models in all four seasons of the year according to three performance assessment metrics: the normalized root mean square error (RMSE), normalized mean absolute error (MAE) and coefficient of determination (R2). The best RMSE, MAE and R2 reached 0.0195, 0.0128 and 99.72%, respectively, with maximum improvements of 11.32%, 8.57% and 0.38%, respectively, over those of the suboptimal model. Therefore, the model proposed in this paper is effective at improving prediction accuracy. Using the proposed method, this paper concludes with multistep predictions of 3, 6, and 9 steps, which also indicates that the proposed method significantly outperforms the other models. Segmentation of whole slide histological images through the classification of tissue types of small fragments is an extremely relevant task in digital pathology, necessary for the development of methods for automatic analysis of whole slide histological images. The extremely large resolution of such images also makes the task of increasing image resolution relevant, which allows storing images at a reduced resolution and increasing it if necessary. Annotating whole slide images by histologists is complex and time-consuming, so it is important to make the most efficient use of the available data, both labeled and unlabeled. In this paper we propose a novel neural network method to simultaneously solve the problems of super-resolution of histological images from ×20 optical magnification to ×40 and classifying image fragments into tissue types at ×20 magnification. The use of a single encoder as well as the proposed neural network training scheme allows to achieve better results on both tasks compared to existing approaches. The PATH-DT-MSU WSS2v2 dataset presented for the first time in this paper was used for training and testing the method. On the test sample, an accuracy value of 0.971 and a balanced accuracy value of 0.916 were achieved in the classification task on 5 tissue types, for the super-resolution task, values of PSNR = 32.26 and SSIM = 0.89 were achieved. The models based on convolutional neural network have achieved excellent results in image super-resolution by acquiring prior knowledge from a large number of images, but such models still have problems such as the features between layers in the depth network cannot be effectively fused, the number of parameters is too large, and cross-channel feature learning is impossible. Based on this, a deep recursive residual channel attention network (DRRCAN) model was proposed in this paper. To solve the problem that the information between different layers in the deep network cannot be fused effectively, this paper constructs a channel feature fusion module, which can effectively fuse the feature information of different layers. To solve the problem that the parameters increase sharply due to the increase of network depth, recursive blocks are adopted in this paper, which greatly reduces the number of parameters in the deep network. The channel attention is integrated to enable the model to learn features across channels. In addition, to avoid gradient explosion or disappearance, residual modules, long skip connections are introduced to improve the stability and generalization ability of the model. Hand gesture recognition (HGR) is the most important part of human-computer interaction (HCI). Static hand gesture recognition is equivalent to the classification of hand gesture images. At present, the classification of hand gesture images mainly uses the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) method. The Vision Transformer architecture (ViT) proposes not to use the convolutional layers at all but to use the multi-head attention mechanism to learn global information. Therefore, this paper proposes a static hand gesture recognition method based on the Vision Transformer. This paper uses a self-made dataset and two publicly available American Sign Language (ASL) datasets to train and evaluate the ViT architecture. Using the depth information provided by the Microsoft Kinect camera to capture the hand gesture images and filter the background, then use the eight-connected discrimination algorithm and the distance transformation algorithm to remove the redundant arm information. The resulting images constitute a self-made dataset. At the same time, this paper studies the impact of several data augmentation strategies on recognition performance. This paper uses accuracy, F1 score, recall, and precision as evaluation metrics. Finally, the validation accuracy of the proposed model on the three datasets achieves 99.44%, 99.37%, and 96.53%, respectively, and the results obtained are better than those obtained by some CNN structures. In the existing Mobile Crowd Sensing, the task allocation method based on sensing user trajectory only considers the sensing user's moving position, but ignores the user's other information, such as moving speed, environmental noise, and so on. To solve this problem, a task allocation method based on multimodal trajectory data fusion is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the characteristics of users' trajectory data in Mobile Crowd Sensing are analyzed, the effects of moving speed and environmental noise on users' acquisition intention are judged, and the speed grayscale image and sound grayscale image are established. Then, the velocity gray image and the sound grayscale image are fused to form the track grayscale image by using the Tow-Branch Convolution Neural Network. Finally, the sensing user selection is based on the grayscale image coverage similarity, to maximize the coverage. In modern deep learning, character recognition in images is a very important field of study due to its has many real life applications. The goal of this paper is to create the state-of-the-art character recognition model using a stacking ensemble of convolution neural networks (CNNs).To develop the proposed ensemble model, we evaluated several CNN models. The models were judged on how well they performed on the Chars74k dataset. The dataset contains 74,103 images divided into 62 classes with labels [A-Z], [a-z], and [0-9]. The accuracy distribution based on the dataset's subgroups (uppercase, lowercase, and digit) is shown in results. The proposed ensemble model achieves state-of-the-art performance with a maximum accuracy of 92.31% on complete dataset, 99.22% on Uppercase alphabets, 98.66% on Lowercase alphabets, 99.77% on Digits, 91.97% on Uppercase+Lowercase alphabets. On the complete and partial datasets, a comparison report between the proposed model and other existing approaches is also displayed. In many countries, agriculture plays a major role in the economy. The health of the crop is therefore very important, but there are many plant diseases that are difficult to diagnose. A close inspection is necessary in many cases, or an expert's advice is required. As a result, it is important to address diseases in plants. Several attempts have been made to develop programs that detect diseases in plants because of the ever-rising growth of computer vision and deep learning. This paper focuses on detecting diseases in guava fruits. We use a dataset with pictures of 4 common diseases found in the fruit namely Phytopthra, Red Rust, Scab, Styler and Root. With the help of transfer learning and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) this paper train various models on the dataset and compare the results. The results we evaluated using accuracy, precision, Recall and F1 score. We had multiple models with test accuracy of 99%, with highest accuracy of 99.62% for DenseNet169. This paper aims to propose a table tennis target detection (TD) method based on deep learning (DL) and multi-scale feature fusion (MFF) to improve the detection accuracy of the ball in table tennis competition, optimize the training process of athletes, and improve the technical level. In this paper, DL technology is used to improve the accuracy of table tennis TD through MFF guidance. Initially, based on the FAST Region-based Convolutional Neural Network (FAST R-CNN), the TD is carried out in the table tennis match. Then, through the method of MFF guidance, different levels of feature information are fused, which improves the accuracy of TD. Through the experimental verification on the test set, it is found that the mean Average Precision (mAP) value of the target detection algorithm (TDA) proposed here reaches 87.3%, which is obviously superior to other TDAs and has higher robustness. An edge-cloud computing collaborative dust concentration detection architecture is proposed for real-time operation of intelligent algorithms to reduce the warning delay. And, an end-to-end three-channel convolutional neural network (E2E-SCNN) method is proposed in the paper to facilitate intelligent monitoring and management of dust concentration in tobacco production workshops. This model, which includes three sub-networks-a local feature branch, a global feature branch, and a spatial feature branch, learns the detail texture, overall layout, and spatial distribution information of the input image respectively. A fusion of the three complementary features is performed at the end of the network for the final dust concentration regression prediction. The design, when compared with the single network structure that directly regresses the entire image, is shown to more fully represent the overall information of the image and enhance monitoring performance. A richly annotated image dataset of tobacco production workshops is constructed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. The prediction error of E2E-SCNN is compared with existing image estimation algorithms, dual-channel networks, and other methods on this dataset using indicators such as Mean Absolute Error (MAE) and R 2 . It is shown by the results that excellent performance is achieved by the E2E-SCNN algorithm, significantly surpassing other comparison methods. The paper demonstrates that the accuracy and robustness of dust concentration prediction can be greatly improved by using a three-channel convolutional neural network spatial information monitoring framework. In big data era, multi-source heterogeneous data become the biggest obstacle to data sharing due to its high dimension and inconsistent structure. Using text classification to solve the ontology construction and mapping problem of multi-source heterogeneous data can not only reduce manual operation, but also improve the accuracy and efficiency. This paper proposes an ontology construction and mapping scheme based on hybrid neural network and autoencoder. Firstly, the proposed text classification method uses the multi-core convolutional neural network to capture local features and uses the improved Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory network to compensate for the shortcomings of the convolutional neural network that cannot obtain context-related information. With the increasing number and types of global power loads and the development and popularization of smart grid technology, a large number of researches on load-level non-intrusive load monitoring technology have emerged. However, the unique power characteristics of the load make NILM face the difficult problem of low robustness of feature extraction and low accuracy of classification and identification in the recognition stage. This paper proposes a structured V-I mapping method to address the inherent limitations of traditional V-I trajectory mapping methods from a new perspective. In addition, for the verification of the V-I trajectory mapping method proposed in this paper, the complexity of load characteristics is comprehensively considered, and a lightweight convolutional neural network is designed based on AlexNet. Fault diagnosis of industrial processes plays an important role in avoiding heavy losses and ensuring production safety. Complex industrial processes often have many working conditions, and the actual industrial process often concentrates on certain working conditions. As a result, the running time of some working conditions is shorter, so the data of these conditions are difficult to obtain. However, almost all fault diagnosis methods based on Deep Learning (DL) requires a large amount of data. Therefore, it is a big challenge to realize the fault diagnosis of few-shot industrial processes. In order to solve these problems, this paper proposes a Deep Feature Transfer Fusion (DFTF) framework based on hybrid domain transfer learning. The purpose is to take few-shot working conditions as the target domain and carry out fault diagnosis for them. As the features of industrial process images are more complex, this paper introduces Pyramid Hybrid Vision Transformer (PHVT) model, which have stronger feature extraction capabilities and spatial perception, as feature extraction module. In order to improve the transferability of the model, this paper introduces the In-Cross Domain Hybrid Transfer Learning (ICTL) method. By fusing the general object features from ResNet50 which pre-trained under public dataset of common object and the features extracted from PHVT which pre-trained under industrial dataset of multiple working conditions, the adaptability of the model to different scenes is enhanced. Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), which is caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-COV-2), surprised the world in December 2019 and has threatened the lives of millions of people. Countries all over the world closed worship places and shops, prevented gatherings, and implemented curfews to stand against the spread of COVID-19. Deep Learning (DL) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) can have a great role in detecting and fighting this disease. Deep learning can be used to detect COVID-19 symptoms and signs from different imaging modalities, such as X-Ray, Computed Tomography (CT), and Ultrasound Images (US). This could help in identifying COVID-19 cases as a first step to curing them. Automatic recommendation of citations has been a focal point of research in scholarly digital libraries. Many graph-based citation recommendation algorithms have been proposed; however, most of them utilize local citation behavior from the citation network that results in recommending papers in the same proximity as the query article. In this paper, we propose to capture the global citation behavior in the citation network and use it to enhance the citation recommendation performance. Specifically, we develop a novel citation network embedding algorithm, ConvCN, to encode the citation relationship among papers. We then propose to enhance existing graph-based citation recommendation algorithms by incorporating ConvCN to improve the recommendation efficacy. ConvCN has been shown to improve the citation recommendation performance by 44.86% and 34.87% on average in terms of Bpref and F-measure@20, respectively. The findings from this research not only confirm that global citation behavior could be additionally useful for improving the performance of traditional citation recommendation algorithms but also shed light on the possibility to adapt the proposed ConvCN algorithm for other recommendation tasks that rely on graph-like information such as items recommendation in social networks and people recommendation in referral networks. This paper proposes an improved strategy for the MobileNetV2 neural network(I-MobileNetV2) in response to problems such as large parameter quantities in existing deep convolutional neural networks and the shortcomings of the lightweight neural network MobileNetV2 such as easy loss of feature information, poor real-time performance, and low accuracy rate in facial emotion recognition tasks. The network inherits the characteristics of MobilenetV2 depthwise separated convolution, signifying a reduction in computational load while maintaining a lightweight profile. It utilizes a reverse fusion mechanism to retain negative features, which makes the information less likely to be lost. The SELU activation function is used to replace the RELU6 activation function to avoid gradient vanishing. Meanwhile, to improve the feature recognition capability, the channel attention mechanism (Squeeze-and-Excitation Networks (SE-Net)) is integrated into the MobilenetV2 network. Experiments conducted on the facial expression datasets FER2013 and CK + showed that the proposed network model achieved facial expression recognition accuracies of 68.62% and 95.96%, improving upon the MobileNetV2 model by 0.72% and 6.14% respectively, and the parameter count decreased by 83.8%. Intelligent transport systems (ITS) provide various cooperative edge cloud services for roadside vehicular applications. These applications offer additional diversity, including ticket validation across transport modes and vehicle and object detection to prevent road collisions. Offloading among cooperative edge and cloud networks plays a key role when these resources constrain devices (e.g., vehicles and mobile) to offload their workloads for execution. ITS used different machine learning and deep learning methods for decision automation. However, the self-autonomous decision-making processes of these techniques require significantly more time and higher accuracy for the aforementioned applications on the road-unit side. Thus, this paper presents the new offloading ITS for IoT vehicles in cooperative edge cloud networks. We present the augmented convolutional neural network (ACNN) that trains the workloads on different edge nodes. The ACNN allows users and machine learning methods to work together, making decisions for offloading and scheduling workload execution. This paper presents an augmented federated learning scheduling scheme (AFLSS). An algorithmic method called AFLSS comprises different sub-schemes that work together in the ITS paradigm for IoT applications in transportation. In the field of remote sensing image interpretation, automatically extracting water body information from high-resolution images is a key task. However, facing the complex multi-scale features in high-resolution remote sensing images, traditional methods and basic deep convolutional neural networks are difficult to effectively capture the global spatial relationship of the target objects, resulting in incomplete, rough shape and blurred edges of the extracted water body information. Meanwhile, massive image data processing usually leads to computational resource overload and inefficiency. Fortunately, the local data processing capability of edge computing combined with the powerful computational resources of cloud centres can provide timely and efficient computation and storage for high-resolution remote sensing image segmentation. In this regard, this paper proposes PMNet, a lightweight deep learning network for edge-cloud collaboration, which utilises a pipelined multi-step aggregation method to capture image information at different scales and understand the relationships between remote pixels through horizontal and vertical spatial dimensions. Also, it adopts a combination of multiple decoding branches in the decoding stage instead of the traditional single decoding branch. The accuracy of the results is improved while reducing the consumption of system resources. The model obtained F1-score of 90.22 and 88.57 on Landsat-8 and GID remote sensing image datasets with low model complexity, which is better than other semantic segmentation models, highlighting the potential of mobile edge computing in processing massive high-resolution remote sensing image data. Accurate prediction of sea level height is critically important for the government in assessing sea level risk in coastal areas. However, due to the nonlinear, time-varying and highly uncertain characteristics of sea level change data, sea level prediction is challenging. To improve the accuracy of sea level prediction, this paper uses a new swarm intelligence algorithm named the sparrow search algorithm (SSA), which can imitate the foraging behavior and antipredation behavior of sparrows, to determine optimal solutions. To avoid the algorithm falling into a local optimal situation, this paper integrates the sine–cosine algorithm and the Cauchy variation strategy into the SSA to obtain an algorithm named the SCSSA. The SCSSA is used to optimize the parameter values of the CNN-BiLSTM (convolutional neural network combined with bidirectional long short-term memory neural network) model; finally, a combined neural network model (named SCSSA-CNN-BiLSTM) is proposed. In this paper, the time series data of seven tidal stations located in coastal China are used for experimental analysis. First, the SCSSA-CNN-BiLSTM model is compared with the CNN-BiLSTM model to predict the time series data of SHANWEI Station. With respect to the training and test sets of data, the SCSSA-CNN-BiLSTM model outperforms the other models on all the evaluation metrics. In addition, the remaining six tide station datasets and five neural network models, including the SCSSA-CNN-BiLSTM model, are used to further study the performance of the proposed prediction model. Four evaluation indices including the root mean squared error (RMSE), mean absolute error (MAE), mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) and coefficient of determination (R2) are adopted. For six stations, the RMSE, MAE, MAPE and R2 of SCSSA-CNN-BiLSTM model are ranged from 20.9217 ~ 27.8427 mm, 9.4770 ~ 17.8603 mm, 0.1322% ~ 0.2482% and 0.9119 ~ 0.9759, respectively. The experimental analysis results show that the SCSSA-CNN-BiLSTM model makes effective predictions at all stations, and the prediction performance is better than that of the other models. Even though the combination of SCSSA algorithm may increase the complexity of the model, indeed the proposed model is a new prediction method with good accuracy and robustness for predicting sea level change. Deep convolutional neural networks can effectively improve the performance of single-image super-resolution reconstruction. Deep networks tend to achieve better performance than others. However, the deep CNNs will lead to a dramatic increase in the size of parameters, limiting its application on embedding and resource-constrained devices, such as smart phone. To address the common problems of blurred image edges, inflexible convolution kernel size selection and slow convergence during training procedure due to redundant network structure in image super-resolution algorithms, this paper proposes a lightweight single-image super-resolution network that fuses multi-level features. The components are mainly two-level nested residual blocks. To better extract features and reduce the number of parameters, each residual block adopts an asymmetric structure. Firstly, it expands twice and then compresses the number of channels twice. Secondly, in the residual block, the feature information of different channels is weighted and fused by adding an autocorrelation weight unit. The quality of the reconstructed image of the proposed method is superior to the existing image super-resolution reconstruction methods in both subjective perception and objective evaluation indicators, and the reconstruction performance is better when the factor is large. Purpose: The main purpose of this paper is to change the structure of the SDP to include more fault information. Furthermore, improve the diagnostic accuracy and anti-noise performance of the bearing fault diagnosis method based on SDP. Methods: First, a multi-interval asymmetric dot pattern (MADP) is proposed by modifying the expression of SDP. Then, the improved SDP (multi-modal multi-interval asymmetric dot pattern, MMADP) is established by the MADP method fused with the multiple effective IMF components which are obtained through CEEMDAN decomposition. Finally, a bearing fault diagnosis model is established based on MMADP and convolutional neural network. Results: The effectiveness of the proposed fault diagnosis method is validated on the CWRU dataset. The results indicate that under Gaussian white noise with a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of above 4 dB and − 6 dB, the accuracy of the proposed fault diagnosis method reaches 100 and 93.3%, respectively. Conclusion: In this paper, a method (MADP) transforming time series signals into images is proposed, and a method for fault diagnosis of rolling bearings is formed through combination of CEEMDAN and CNN. The development of the Internet and big data has led to the emergence of graphs as an important data representation structure in various real-world scenarios. However, as data size increases, computational complexity and memory requirements pose significant challenges for graph embedding. To address this challenge, this paper proposes a multilevel embedding refinement framework (MERIT) based on large-scale graphs, using spectral distance-constrained graph coarsening algorithms and an improved graph convolutional neural network model that addresses the over-smoothing problem by incorporating initial values and identity mapping. Experimental results on large-scale datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of MERIT, with an average AUROC score 8% higher than other baseline methods. Moreover, in a node classification task on a large-scale graph with 126,825 nodes and 22,412,658 edges, the framework improves embedding quality while enhancing the runtime by 25 times. This paper presents an improved Fast-Segmentation Convolutional Neural Network (Fast-SCNN) and U-Net networks based on the channel attention mechanism. While ensuring the speed of network detection, the accuracy of image segmentation is also considered. The experimental results show that the accuracy rate of improved Fast-SCNN based on the channel attention mechanism is greatly improved compared with the original Fast-SCNN, reaching 88.056%, and the mean intersection over union is also improved to a certain extent, reaching 81.087%, and the detection speed is better than the original Fast-SCNN network. The accuracy of improved U-Net network based on the channel attention mechanism is 0.91805, which is better than the original U-Net network. In terms of detection speed, the improved U-Net network based on channel attention mechanism has greatly improved compared with the original U-Net network, reaching 24.02 frames per second. The dominant intrusion detection models in internet of things industrial internet of things cybersecurity use network-based datasets. The Modbus protocol is one of the most often targeted protocols and cyberattacks against IoT/IIoT devices have grown to be a major threat in recent years. Due to the intricacy of the protocol and the quick evolution of cyber threats, detecting these attacks using conventional techniques might be difficult. This paper proposes an architecture that consistently outperforms the state-of-the-art methods of performing intrusion Detection that includes binary classification of whether an intrusion occurred or not and multi-class classification that classifies the different types of attacks using an embedding layer in a neural network to model the register values. The best accuracy results were obtained with a convolutional neural network, with an accuracy of 98.91% in the Modbus Binary dataset, a fully connected neural network with an accuracy of 98.06% in the multi-class classification of the Modbus dataset, and long short-term memory neural networks with an accuracy of 99.97%, 99.7%, and 80.20% in Binary, multi-class, and multi-class sub-categories, respectively which conclude that the proposed architecture performs consistently better than the control NN. Three NN are designed with and without the proposed architecture. All experiments performed in this paper conclude that the proposed architecture performs consistently better than the control NN. This paper shows that a NN with an embedding function can effectively be used to model whether an attack occurred on a device and the class of attack that occurred. This network can be utilized in the future to lessen DoS attacks and other types of network attacks. In general, the data processing takes time due of manual intervention and it may distort the result because an error of processing may occur, so the aim of this research is to propose a new finding how to process rapidly a paper survey form to have the statistic result on time. The paper template design must have at least one question with "Yes" and "No" check box or radio button as response field. People have a liberal choice to reply: normal, no response or both. In each box in form can contain a different type of handwriting and the way to recognize them is within mathematics tools combined with neural networks. First of all, the physical paper which contents the information must be converted to image by digitization operation. Any type format of image is accepted then it will be handled by preprocessing module before coming to the Lite Convolutional Neural Network. Once the neural networks finish the treatment, a postprocessing module computes the information and insert into database. The singularity of this technique is the intervention of Lite Convolutional Neural Network as recognition tool which has more advantage compared with standard deep learning in terms of computation time, accuracy/precision and number of parameters.
