Suillus is one of the most important genera of ectomycorrhizal fungi. As a model for studying host specificity, its molecular fragments and nuclear genome have been analyzed. However, its mitochondrial genome has not yet been reported. In this study, we assembled five mitogenomes of Suillus and analyzed and compared their basic characteristics. Owing to the large number of introns as well as intergenic regions, the mitogenomic lengths of species of Suillus were greater than those of other species of Boletales. We identified two main patterns of gene order arrangement in the members of the order Boletales. The Ka/Ks values of 15 protein-coding genes were <1 for the mitochondrial genes of 39 Boletales species, indicating their conserved evolution. Phylogenetic trees, reconstructed using the mitogenomes, indicated that the genus Suillus was monophyletic. Phylogenetic results based on the internal transcribed spacer region and mitogenome were used to confirm the distribution of Suillus placidus in China. The results showed that the mitogenome was superior in distinguishing species compared with a single molecular fragment. This is the first study to investigate the mitogenome of Suillus, enriching the mitogenome information and providing basic data for the phylogeny, resource conservation, and genetic diversity of this genus. As a member of the pattern recognition receptor (PRR) class, scavenger receptor class B type 1 (SRB1) plays a key role in innate immunity. Grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idellus) ranks among the most extensively cultivated freshwater aquaculture species in China. However, little is known about the function of SRB1 in C. idellus. In this research study, a SRB1 gene was identified in C. idellus, named CiSRB1. The full-length cDNA of CiSRB1 is 2486 bp long, with an open reading frame (ORF) of 2486 bp encoding a 497 amino acid (aa) protein containing a conserved CD36 domain. The identified genomic DNA length of CiSRB1 is 20,042 bp, including 12 exons and 11 introns. The predictive analysis of protein interactions revealed that CiSRB1 could interact with the outer capsid proteins of typical GCRV strains. The tissue distribution of CiSRB1 exhibited age-dependent characteristics. CiSRB1 displayed the highest expression in the intestines and moderate levels in muscle, spleen, liver, and brain of one-year-old grass carp while maintaining relatively low levels in three-year-old grass carp. Following grass carp reovirus (GCRV) infection, notable upregulation of CiSRB1 transcripts was observed in major immune tissues (gills, intestines, spleen, and liver). Furthermore, significant differences were found between one-year-old and three-year-old grass carp, with lower CiSRB1 expression levels being detected in the older group. Additionally, a distinct response to GCRV infection was observed in one-year-old and three-year-old grass carp. It was found that one-year-old individuals had a mortality rate of up to 84% 6 days post-infection (dpi), whereas all three-year-old counterparts survived after GCRV infection. The analysis of GCRV copy numbers across tissues revealed substantially higher levels in one-year-old grass carp compared with their older counterparts, confirming the existence of age-dependent susceptibility to GCRV infection in grass carp. Combined with these results, it was speculated that the decline in cell-surface CiSRB1 expression with age may impede reovirus binding to host cells, potentially explaining why older grass carp demonstrated enhanced resistance to GCRV infection. The requirement of sustainable development has led to challenges for DTF (i.e., digital transformation of firms). Extensive studies have been conducted on how the personality traits of executives influence the behavior of firms. However, the effect of military experience on DTF has yet to be determined. This concern is addressed in this study from the imprinting theory (IT) and upper echelons theory (UET) perspectives. We aim to investigate whether and how military executives impact DTF. Analysis of data from listed firms in China between 2010 and 2020 indicates that military executives positively enhance DTF. This research also evaluates the moderating effects of symbiosis orientation and the market power of firms on the above relationship. Heterogeneity analysis reveals that the impact of executives' military experience on DTF is only significant in non-regulated, high-technology, and low-pollution industries. Our findings expand the literature on leadership and DTF. We introduce the concept of symbiosis orientation and examine the moderating roles of symbiosis orientation and market power in the above effect, which elucidates the interplay between organizations and the external environment. Our findings provide insights into enhancing digital transformation efforts by strategically selecting suitable military leadership for firms and further promoting the sustainable development of firms. The Chinese Loess Plateau has undergone extensive revegetation to restore degraded land and enhance carbon sequestration. However, soil organic carbon (SOC) sequestrated in the soil profiles of deep-rooted plants has not been fully studied. Here, we investigated the SOC within a 0–23 m profile in farmlands and apple orchards converted from farmlands with different ages (A5, <5 years; A10, ~10 years; A15, ~15 years; A20, >20 years) and the controlling factors on three loess tablelands (Changwu, Qingyang, and Luochuan). The results show that SOC stocks among farmlands and orchards showed no significant difference (p = 0.88); however, SOC stocks showed a trend with tree ages, i.e., a decrease for A5 and A10 but an increase for A15 and A20. For the vertical variability, the SOC stock was the highest within 0–1 m, regardless of the standing age; however, the SOC stock in this layer only accounted for 8.8% of the total SOC stock (97.93 ± 9.18 kg m−2). Climate accounted for 82% of the variations and controlled the changes in SOC in the 0–1 m range, while soil texture dominated the SOC in the soil below 1 m, accounting for 57% of the SOC variations. This study identified 13 GhTIR1/AFB members in G. hirsutum through bioinformatics methods and divided them into three subgroups by phylogenetic tree analysis. Motif and gene structure analysis showed that the genes in this family were highly conserved. Promoter cis-acting element analysis found that the promoters of GhTIR1/AFBs contained a large number of cis-acting elements in response to growth and development and abiotic stress. Further RT-qPCR results showed that GhTIR1/AFB genes responded to various abiotic stresses such as IAA, ABA, cold, and heat, and the expression levels of each gene changed obviously, especially Gh_D08G0763 (GhTIR1), which responded significantly to cold injury. Using VIGS (virus-induced gene silencing) technology to silence Gh_D08G0763 in the cold-tolerant cotton variety ZM36, it was found that the resistance of ZM36 to cold damage was significantly reduced. The physiological response mechanism of the Gh_D08G0763 in resisting cold damage was further analyzed through trypan blue staining of leaves and determination of enzyme activity levels. Alpha-ketoglutaric acid (α-KG), as an intermediate product of the tricarboxylic acid cycle, plays a crucial role in peptide and amino acid synthesis. In order to reduce costs and improve efficiency in the oxidative production of α-ketoglutaric acid, this study successfully synthesized and expressed L-glutamate oxidase (LGOXStr) from Streptomyces viridosporus R111 and catalase (KatGEsc) from Escherichia coli H736. Two immobilization methods and the conditions for one-step whole-cell catalysis of α-ketoglutaric acid were investigated. α-Ketoglutaric acid has broad applications in the pharmaceutical, food, and chemical industries. The specific research results are as follows: (1) By fusing the sfGFP tag, L-glutamate oxidase (LGOXStr r) and catalase (KatGEsc) were successfully anchored to the outer membrane of Escherichia coli cells, achieving one-step whole-cell catalysis of α-ketoglutaric acid with a conversion efficiency of up to 75%. (2) Through the co-immobilization of LGOXStr and KatGEsc, optimization of the preparation parameters of immobilized cells, and exploration of the immobilization method using E.coli@ZIF-8, immobilized cells with conversion rates of over 60% were obtained even after 10 cycles of reuse. Under the optimal conditions, the production rate of α-ketoglutaric acid reached 96.7% in a 12 h reaction, which is 1.1 times that of E. coli@SA and 1.29 times that of free cells. Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most common type of malignant tumor of the central nervous system, characterized by aggressiveness, genetic instability, heterogenesis, and unpredictable clinical behavior. Disappointing results from the current clinical therapeutic methods have fueled a search for new therapeutic targets and treatment modalities. GBM is characterized by various genetic alterations, and RNA-based gene therapy has raised particular attention in GBM therapy. Here, we review the recent advances in engineered non-viral nanocarriers for RNA drug delivery to treat GBM. Therapeutic strategies concerning the brain-targeted delivery of various RNA drugs involving siRNA, microRNA, mRNA, ASO, and short-length RNA and the therapeutical mechanisms of these drugs to tackle the challenges of chemo-/radiotherapy resistance, recurrence, and incurable stem cell-like tumor cells of GBM are herein outlined. High-density building environments and fast-paced working conditions in cities pose health challenges for office workers. Office-type pocket parks assume the social responsibility of providing restorative environments for office workers, and the soundscape is an essential element of such environments. However, there is limited research on soundscape restoration in office-type pocket parks. Therefore, this study focused on soundscape restoration in office-type pocket parks. First, on-site investigations explored the spatial characteristics of 55 office-type pocket parks while analysing the soundscape features of 12 representative parks. Notably, significant correlations emerged among the perceptual parameters of the soundscape. Subsequently, three dimensions were extracted through an experimental study on the restoration levels of soundscape elements in office-based pocket parks: attractiveness, coordination, and disengagement. Finally, this study explored the impact of spatial enclosures and interface characteristics on soundscape restoration levels. This revealed that the restorative effect of negative sounds, such as traffic, air-conditioning, and speech, is significantly negatively correlated with spatial enclosure. Therefore, the greater the enclosure, the lower the restorative effect of the soundscape. Birdsongs significantly enhance the attractiveness of grey spaces, whereas small fountain sounds are most coordinated in blue spaces. Objective: This study aimed to provide clinical evidence for lineage replacement and genetic changes of High-Risk Human Papillomavirus (HR-HPV) during the period of vaccine coverage and characterize those changes in eastern China. Methods: This study consisted of two stages. A total of 90,583 patients visiting the Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital of Fudan University from March 2018 to March 2022 were included in the HPV typing analysis. Another 1076 patients who tested positive for HPV31, 33, 52, or 58 from November 2020 to August 2023 were further included for HPV sequencing. Vaccination records, especially vaccine types and the third dose administration time, medical history, and cervical cytology samples were collected. Viral DNA sequencing was then conducted, followed by phylogenetic analysis and sequence alignment. Results: The overall proportion of HPV31 and 58 infections increased by 1.23% and 0.51%, respectively, while infection by HPV33 and 52 decreased by 0.42% and 1.43%, respectively, within the four-year vaccination coverage period. The proportion of HPV31 C lineage infections showed a 22.17% increase in the vaccinated group, while that of the HPV58 A2 sublineage showed a 12.96% increase. T267A and T274N in the F-G loop of HPV31 L1 protein, L150F in the D-E loop, and T375N in the H-I loop of HPV58 L1 protein were identified as high-frequency escape-related mutations. Conclusions: Differences in epidemic lineage changes and dominant mutation accumulation may result in a proportional difference in trends of HPV infection. New epidemic lineages and high-frequency escape-related mutations should be noted during the vaccine coverage period, and regional epidemic variants should be considered during the development of next-generation vaccines. Taking into account the effects of the immune response and delay, and complexity on HIV-1 transmission, a multiscale AIDS/HIV-1 model is formulated in this paper. The multiscale model is described by a within-host fast time model with intracellular delay and immune delay, and a between-host slow time model with latency delay. The dynamics of the fast time model is analyzed, and includes the stability of equilibria and properties of Hopf bifurcation. Further, for the coupled slow time model without an immune response, the basic reproduction number R 0 h is defined, which determines whether the model may have zero, one, or two positive equilibria under different conditions. This implies that the slow time model demonstrates more complex dynamic behaviors, including saddle-node bifurcation, backward bifurcation, and Hopf bifurcation. For the other case, that is, the coupled slow time model with an immune response, the threshold dynamics, based on the basic reproduction number R ˜ 0 h , is rigorously investigated. More specifically, if R ˜ 0 h < 1 , the disease-free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable; if R ˜ 0 h > 1 , the model exhibits a unique endemic equilibrium that is globally asymptotically stable. With regard to the coupled slow time model with an immune response and stable periodic solution, the basic reproduction number R 0 is derived, which serves as a threshold value determining whether the disease will die out or lead to periodic oscillations in its prevalence. The research results suggest that the disease is more easily controlled when hosts have an extensive immune response and the time required for new immune particles to emerge in response to antigenic stimulation is within a certain range. DNA polymerases are important enzymes that synthesize DNA molecules and therefore are critical to various scientific fields as essential components of in vitro DNA synthesis reactions, including PCR. Modern diagnostics, molecular biology, and genetic engineering require DNA polymerases with improved performance. This study aimed to obtain and characterize a new CL7-Taq fusion DNA polymerase, in which the DNA coding sequence of Taq DNA polymerase was fused with that of CL7, a variant of CE7 (Colicin E7 DNase) from Escherichia coli. The resulting novel recombinant open reading frame was cloned and expressed in E. coli. The recombinant CL7-Taq protein exhibited excellent thermostability, extension rate, sensitivity, and resistance to PCR inhibitors. Our results showed that the sensitivity of CL7-Taq DNA polymerase was 100-fold higher than that of wild-type Taq, which required a template concentration of at least 1.8 × 105 nM. Moreover, the extension rate of CL7-Taq was 4 kb/min, which remarkably exceeded the rate of Taq DNA polymerase (2 kb/min). Furthermore, the CL7 fusion protein showed increased resistance to inhibitors of DNA amplification, including lactoferrin, heparin, and blood. Single-cope human genomic targets were readily available from whole blood, and pretreatment to purify the template DNA was not required. Vibrio parahaemolyticus is the primary foodborne pathogen known to cause gastrointestinal infections in humans. Nevertheless, the molecular mechanisms of V. parahaemolyticus pathogenicity are not fully understood. Prophages carry virulence and antibiotic resistance genes commonly found in Vibrio populations, and they facilitate the spread of virulence and the emergence of pathogenic Vibrio strains. In this study, we characterized three such genes, VpaChn25_0713, VpaChn25_0714, and VpaChn25_RS25055, within the largest prophage gene cluster in V. parahaemolyticus CHN25. The deletion mutants ΔVpaChn25_RS25055, ΔVpaChn25_0713, ΔVpaChn25_0714, and ΔVpaChn25_RS25055-0713-0714 were derived with homologous recombination, and the complementary mutants ΔVpaChn25_0713-com, ΔVpaChn25_0714-com, ΔVpaChn25_RS25055-com, ΔVpaChn25_RS25055-0713-0714-com were also constructed. In the absence of the VpaChn25_RS25055, VpaChn25_0713, VpaChn25_0714, and VpaChn25_RS25055-0713-0714 genes, the mutants showed significant reductions in low-temperature survivability and biofilm formation (p < 0.001). The ΔVpaChn25_0713, ΔVpaChn25_RS25055, and ΔVpaChn25_RS25055-0713-0714 mutants were also significantly defective in swimming motility (p < 0.001). In the Caco-2 model, the above four mutants attenuated the cytotoxic effects of V. parahaemolyticus CHN25 on human intestinal epithelial cells (p < 0.01), especially the ΔVpaChn25_RS25055 and ΔVpaChn25_RS25055-0713-0714 mutants. Transcriptomic analysis showed that 15, 14, 8, and 11 metabolic pathways were changed in the ΔVpaChn25_RS25055, ΔVpaChn25_0713, ΔVpaChn25_0714, and ΔVpaChn25_RS25055-0713-0714 mutants, respectively. We labeled the VpaChn25_RS25055 gene with superfolder green fluorescent protein (sfGFP) and found it localized at both poles of the bacteria cell. In addition, we analyzed the evolutionary origins of the above genes. In summary, the prophage genes VpaChn25_0713, VpaChn25_0714, and VpaChn25_RS25055 enhance V. parahaemolyticus CHN25's survival in the environment and host. Emerging in-vehicle applications seek to improve travel experiences, but the rising number of vehicles results in more computational tasks and redundant content requests, leading to resource waste. Efficient compute offloading and content caching strategies are crucial for the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) to optimize performance in time latency and energy consumption. This paper proposes a joint task offloading and content caching optimization method based on forecasting traffic streams, called TOCC. First, temporal and spatial correlations are extracted from the preprocessed dataset using the Forecasting Open Source Tool (FOST) and integrated to predict the traffic stream to obtain the number of tasks in the region at the next moment. To obtain a suitable joint optimization strategy for task offloading and content caching, the multi-objective problem of minimizing delay and energy consumption is decomposed into multiple single-objective problems using an improved Multi-Objective Evolutionary Algorithm based on Decomposition (MOEA/D) via the Tchebycheff weight aggregation method, and a set of Pareto-optimal solutions is obtained. Finally, the experimental results verify the effectiveness of the TOCC strategy. Compared with other methods, its latency is up to 29% higher and its energy consumption is up to 83% higher. Tryptophan synthetase (TSase), which functions as a tetramer, is a typical enzyme with a substrate channel effect, and shows excellent performance in the production of non-standard amino acids, histamine, and other biological derivatives. Based on previous work, we fused a mutant CE protein (colistin of E. coli, a polypeptide with antibacterial activity) sequence with the sequence of TSase to explore whether its catalytic activity could be enhanced, and we also analyzed whether the addition of a DNA scaffold was a feasible strategy. Here, dCE (CE protein without DNase activity) protein tags were constructed and fused to the TrapA and TrapB subunits of TSase, and the whole cell was used for the catalytic reaction. The results showed that after the dCE protein tag was fused to the TrapB subunit, its whole cell catalytic activity increased by 50%. Next, the two subunits were expressed separately, and the proteins were bound in vitro to ensure equimolar combination between the two subunits. After the dCE label was fused to TrapB, the activity of TSase assembled with TrapA also improved. A series of experiments revealed that the enzyme fused with dCE9 showed higher activity than the wild-type protein. In general, the activity of assembly TSase was optimal when the temperature was 50 °C and the pH was about 9.0. After a long temperature treatment, the enzyme maintained good activity. With the addition of exogenous nucleic acid, the activity of the enzyme increased. The maximum yield was 0.58 g/L, which was almost three times that of the wild-type TSase (0.21 g/L). The recombinant TSase constructed in this study with dCE fusion had the advantages of higher heat resistance and higher activity, and confirmed the feasibility of adding a nucleic acid scaffold, providing a new idea for the improvement of structurally similar enzymes. Evaluating residual hydrocarbons is crucial for assessing shale oil and gas reservoirs, significantly impacting resource evaluation and exploration prospects. Previously regarded as lacking hydrocarbon generation potential, the Ediacaran Dengying Formation (Fm) microbial dolomite in the Sichuan Basin has been re-evaluated for its hydrocarbon generation capabilities. While understanding source rock characteristics is vital for petroleum resource assessment, a comprehensive analysis of the dolomite's source rocks, encompassing hydrocarbon generation and residual features, remains undocumented. In this study, we thoroughly analyze the total organic carbon and vitrinite reflectance and extensively utilize pyrolysis analysis, gas chromatography and isotopic analysis of the organic kerogen from the Ediacaran Dengying Fm dolomite samples. The findings affirm that the Ediacaran Dengying Fm dolomite indeed serves as a source rock with moderate hydrocarbon generation and residue capabilities. This microbial dolomite was formed in a reducing marine environment with high salinity. Characterized by an averaging TOC of 0.82%, the kerogen is primarily identified as type I, with a minor presence of type II, and underwent thermal maturation up to the post-maturity stage. Throughout its geological history, the maximum intensities for hydrocarbon generation and residues were 4.5 × 107 t/km2 and 3.2 × 107 t/km2, respectively. Additionally, cumulatively generated and residual hydrocarbon quantities amounted to 2.7 × 1012 t and 1.67 × 1012 t, respectively. This study indicates significant exploration potential for the Ediacaran Dengying Fm microbial dolomite. Consequently, the central region in the Sichuan Basin has been identified as a promising area for future exploration endeavors. At present, the COVID-19 pandemic is still ongoing globally and the virus is constantly mutating. The herd immunity barrier established by past infections or vaccinations is gradually weakening and reinfections are occurring. To evaluate the pandemic fatigue and vaccine hesitancy among people who have recovered from COVID-19 in the post-pandemic era, we conducted an anonymous cross-sectional survey study in China from 4 July to 11 August 2023, nearly 6 months after the last large-scale nationwide infection. Basic sociodemographic characteristics, health-related factors (smoking, drinking, and chronic disease history), COVID-19 vaccination history, and self-reported long COVID were obtained as potential covariates. A series of logistic regression models were performed to examine the association between pandemic fatigue and vaccine hesitancy toward the next dose of COVID-19 vaccines via crude relative risks (cORs) and adjusted relative risks (aORs) with 95% CIs. According to our results, of the 2942 participants, 1242 (42.2%) were hesitant (unwilling or not sure) to receive the next dose of COVID-19 vaccines. The average score on the Pandemic Fatigue Scale was 21.67 ± 8.86, in which the scores of all items in the vaccine-hesitant group were significantly higher than those in the vaccine-accepting group. Additionally, the higher the pandemic fatigue level among people who have recovered from COVID-19, the more likely they were to be hesitant to receive the next dose of the COVID-19 vaccines (moderate: aOR = 2.94, 95% CI: 2.46–3.53; high: aOR = 6.88, 95% CI: 5.49–8.64). Overall, more than 40% of the recovered participants were unwilling or uncertain about the next vaccine dose, with varying degrees of pandemic fatigue. Pandemic fatigue is a potentially relevant factor for vaccine hesitancy and may hinder the translation of vaccination intention into behavior. Considering the ongoing reinfection situation, implementing a health education plan to reduce pandemic fatigue and prioritizing vaccination issues for people who have recovered from COVID-19 may be key to promoting the reduction of the COVID-19 disease burden and ensuring the health and well-being of the population. Optimization algorithms are popular to solve different problems in many fields, and are inspired by natural principles, animal living habits, plant pollinations, chemistry principles, and physic principles. Optimization algorithm performances will directly impact on solving accuracy. The Crow Search Algorithm (CSA) is a simple and efficient algorithm inspired by the natural behaviors of crows. However, the flight length of CSA is a fixed value, which makes the algorithm fall into the local optimum, severely limiting the algorithm solving ability. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a Variable Step Crow Search Algorithm (VSCSA). The proposed algorithm uses the cosine function to enhance CSA searching abilities, which greatly improves both the solution quality of the population and the convergence speed. In the update phase, the VSCSA increases population diversities and enhances the global searching ability of the basic CSA. The experiment used 14 test functions,2017 CEC functions, and engineering application problems to compare VSCSA with different algorithms. The experiment results showed that VSCSA performs better in fitness values, iteration curves, box plots, searching paths, and the Wilcoxon test results, which indicates that VSCSA has strong competitiveness and sufficient superiority. Organic solar cells (OSCs) have gained increasing attention. Among the various directions in OSCs, all-polymer solar cells (all-PSCs) have emerged as a highly promising and currently active research area due to their excellent film formation properties, mechanical properties, and thermal stabilities. However, most of the high-efficiency all-PSCs are processed from chloroform with an active layer thickness of ~100 nm. In order to meet the requirements for industrialization, a thicker active layer processed from low-vapor pressure solvents (preferentially a hydrocarbon solvent) is strongly desired. Herein, we employ toluene (a hydrocarbon solvent with a much higher boiling point than chloroform) and a method known as sequential processing (SqP) to mitigate the rapid decline in efficiency with increasing film thickness. Instead of being merely an important embodiment of regional productivity, the manufacturing industry also serves as a significant sector of economic operation and the supply chain system that is highly dependent on resources and the environment. Studying the spatial pattern of the manufacturing industry and its environmental effect is extremely significant for optimizing the spatial layout of urban industry, allocating production factors in a rational manner, and promoting the green transformation of industry. In this regard, this study aimed to further reveal the spatial pattern characteristics of the regional manufacturing industry and its impact on PM2.5. Using data from micro-enterprises in the manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, its spatial pattern characteristics are explored and an econometric model is constructed to analyze the impact of the manufacturing industry on PM2.5 by comprehensively applying approaches including kernel density estimation, nearest proximity index, and Dagum Gini coefficient decomposition. Three research conclusions were drawn: (1) an obvious "core-edge" feature is present in the spatial distribution of the manufacturing industry in the studied area showing an apparent pattern of "high in the east and low in the west". The core density of the manufacturing industry in the central cities is significantly higher than that in the surrounding cities. (2) In the manufacturing industry and its subdivisions, the characteristics of spatial agglomeration are unveiled, while the agglomeration and spatial differences are diminished during the study period for the spatial equilibrium of the manufacturing industry. (3) A significantly positive impact is exerted on PM2.5 pollution that is not limited to local cities by the manufacturing industry, which, due to the development differences within the study region, is also heterogeneous. In view of this, policy proposals for aspects such as forging a green manufacturing cluster area, establishing an industrial integration development platform, giving play to regional advantages and technological potential, etc., are put forward in this study, so as to provide a useful reference for optimizing the industrial pattern and promoting the green transformation of industries. The Al–Sb–Sn ternary system was studied by combining experimental measurement and thermodynamic modeling. The three vertical cross-sections of Al–SnSb, Sn–AlSb, and Sb–AlSn were measured by Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC). Based on the Calculation of Phase Diagram (CALPHAD) method, the thermodynamic modeling of the Al–Sb–Sn ternary system was carried out based on the evaluated experimental data by FactSage. In complex industrial environments, the vibration signal of the rolling bearing is covered by noise, which makes fault diagnosis inaccurate. In order to overcome the effect of noise on the signal, a rolling bearing fault diagnosis method based on the WOA-VMD (Whale Optimization Algorithm-Variational Mode Decomposition) and the GAT (Graph Attention network) is proposed to deal with end effect and mode mixing issues in signal decomposition. Firstly, the WOA is used to adaptively determine the penalty factor and decomposition layers in the VMD algorithm. Meanwhile, the optimal combination is determined and input into the VMD, which is used to decompose the original signal. Then, the Pearson correlation coefficient method is used to select IMF (Intrinsic Mode Function) components that have a high correlation with the original signal, and selected IMF components are reconstructed to remove the noise in the original signal. Finally, the KNN (K-Nearest Neighbor) method is used to construct the graph structure data. The multi-headed attention mechanism is used to construct the fault diagnosis model of the GAT rolling bearing in order to classify the signal. The results show an obvious noise reduction effect in the high-frequency part of the signal after the application of the proposed method, where a large amount of noise was removed. In the diagnosis of rolling bearing faults, the accuracy of the test set diagnosis in this study was 100%, which is higher than that of the four other compared methods, and the diagnosis accuracy rate of various faults reached 100%. In Hawai'i, ecosystem conservation practitioners are increasingly considering the potential ecohydrological benefits from applied conservation action to mitigate the degrading impacts of runoff on native and restored ecosystems. One determinant of runoff is excess rainfall events where rainfall rates exceed the infiltration capacity of soils. To help understand runoff risks, we calculated the probability of excess rainfall events across the Hawaiian landscape by comparing the probability distributions of projected rainfall frequency and land-cover-specific infiltration capacity. We characterized soil infiltration capacity based on different land cover types (bare soil, grasses, and woody vegetation) and compared them to the frequency of large rainfall events under current and future climate scenarios. We then mapped the potential risk of excess rainfall across the main Hawaiian Islands. Our results show that land cover type has a very large effect on runoff risk as excess rainfall conditions are 234% more likely in bare soil and 75% more likely in grasslands compared to woody forests and shrublands. In contrast, projected shifts in rainfall intensity by end-of-century show little impact on these probabilities and thus, the risk of runoff. This indicates that the probability of excess rainfall is primarily driven by differences in land cover and not by current or potential shifts in rainfall patterns across the Hawaiian landscape. The ability to estimate the risk of potentially ecologically and economically costly runoff based on changes of land cover is useful for managers focused on invasive species control and restoration planning, especially for native and endemic ecosystems unique to the State of Hawai'i. Flow Direction Algorithm (FDA) has better searching performance than some traditional optimization algorithms. To give the basic Flow Direction Algorithm more effective searching ability and avoid multiple local minima under the searching space, and enable it to obtain better search results, an improved FDA based on the Lévy flight strategy and the self-renewable method (LSRFDA) was proposed in this paper. The Lévy flight strategy and the self-renewable approach were added to the basic Flow Direction Algorithm. Random parameters generated by the Lévy flight strategy can increase the algorithm's diversity of feasible solutions in a short calculation time and greatly enhance the operational efficiency of the algorithm. The self-renewable method lets the algorithm quickly obtain a better possible solution and jump to the local solution space. Then, this paper tested different mathematical testing functions, including low-dimensional and high-dimensional functions, and the test results were compared with those of different algorithms. This paper includes iterative figures, box plots, and search paths to show the different performances of the LSRFDA. Finally, this paper calculated different engineering optimization problems. Drought is the major abiotic stress that limits apple productivity and quality. To date, many important and divergent regulatory functions of miR156/SBP genes in plant growth and development have been well understood. However, little is known about the role of apple miR156 in response to abiotic stress. To better understand the functions of MdmiR156 in abiotic stress tolerance, we constructed the overexpression (OE) and short tandem target mimic (STTM) vector of MdmiR156n and performed its functional analysis through the characterization of transgenic apple calli and Arabidopsis thaliana plants. In this study, MdmiR156n overexpression significantly increased the length of primary roots and the number of lateral roots in transgenic Arabidopsis plants under drought stress. In addition, MdmiR156n transgenic Arabidopsis and apple calli had a lower electrolyte leakage rate and less cell membrane damage than WT and STTM156 after drought stress. Further studies showed that MdmiR156n overexpression promoted the accumulation of flavonoids and scavenging of reactive oxygen species (ROS) under drought conditions in transgenic apple calli and A. thaliana plants. Vaccines against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been in use for over two years, but studies that reflect real-world vaccination coverage and demographic determinants are lacking. Using a multistage stratified random cluster sampling method, we planned to directly explore vaccination coverage and the demographic determinants of different doses of COVID-19 vaccines in Beijing, especially in older populations. All 348 community health service centers in 16 districts were involved. We performed multivariable logistic regression analyses to identify demographic determinants of different coverage rates via adjusted odds ratios (aORs) and 95% CIs. Of the 42,565 eligible participants, the total vaccination coverage rates for ≥1 dose, ≥2 doses, ≥3 doses, and 4 doses were 93.3%, 91.6%, 84.9%, and 13.0%, respectively, but decreased to 88.1%, 85.1%, 76.2%, and 3.8% in the older population. Among all participants, younger (aOR = 1.77, 95% CI: 1.60–1.95), male (aOR = 1.15, 95% CI: 1.06–1.23), and better-educated residents (high school and technical secondary school aOR = 1.58, 95% CI: 1.43–1.74; bachelor's degree aOR = 1.53, 95% CI: 1.37–1.70) were more likely to be fully vaccinated. People who lived in rural areas (aOR = 1.45, 95% CI: 1.31–1.60) and held the new rural cooperative health insurance (aOR = 1.37, 95% CI: 1.20–1.57) established a higher rate of full vaccination coverage. No history of chronic disease was positively associated with a higher coverage rate (aOR = 1.81, 95% CI: 1.66–1.97). Occupation also affected vaccination coverage. Demographic factors influencing the rate of vaccination with at least one or three doses were consistent with the results above. Results remained robust in a sensitivity analysis. Given the highly transmissible variants and declining antibody titers, accelerating the promotion of booster vaccination coverage, especially in high-risk groups such as the elderly, is a top priority. Background: Because the incidence of endometrial cancer has been increasing every year, it is important to identify an effective screening method for it. The endometrial cytology test (ECT) is considered to be the more acceptable technique compared to invasive endometrial sampling. Methods: The study followed the Priority Reporting Project for Systematic Evaluation and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA-DTA) protocol. This systematic rating searched EMBASE and Web of Science databases for studies on ECT for endometrial cancer from the databases' dates of inception to 30 September 2022. All literature screening and data extraction were performed by two researchers, while the methodological quality of the included studies was assessed against defined inclusion criteria. And a third researcher resolves the disagreements. Results: Twenty-six studies were eventually included in this final analysis. Meta-analysis results showed that the diagnostic accuracy characteristics of ECT for endometrial cancer were as follows: combined sensitivity = 0.84 [95% confidence interval (CI) (0.83–0.86)], combined specificity = 0.98 [95% CI (0.98–0.98)], combined positive likelihood ratio = 34.65 [95% CI (20.90–57.45)], combined negative likelihood ratio = 0.21 [95% CI (0.15–0.30)], and area under the summary receiver operating characteristic curve = 0.9673. Taking into account the effects of the heterogeneity of the population and media coverage on disease transmission, in this paper, a hybrid HIV/AIDS model with age-structure, self-protection awareness and media coverage is formulated, which is made up of five partial differential equations (PDEs) and one ordinary differential equation (ODE). We establish the existence of the solution associated with the hybrid system and prove that the solution is unique, bounded and positive utilizing the semigroup approach. Based on the basic reproduction number R 0 , the threshold dynamics of this model are rigorously investigated, that is, there always is a unique disease-free steady state E 0 and it is globally stable when R 0 < 1 , that is, the disease dies out. Further, there exists a unique endemic steady state E * and it is locally stable when R 0 > 1 and some additional technical conditions are met. In addition, the uniform persistence of this hybrid system is demonstrated for R 0 > 1 , which means that the disease remains at the endemic level for a long time, which is not discussed in other age-structured infectious disease articles. Numerical simulations are also given to explain the main theoretical results, which suggest that age variability is a non-negligible factor in HIV/AIDS transmission, that is, the moment and scale of HIV/AIDS outbreaks are diverse for people of different ages, and media coverage can encourage people to take steps to avoid potential infection and control the spread of the disease. In this paper, a real-time scheduling problem of a dual-resource flexible job shop with robots is studied. Multiple independent robots and their supervised machine sets form their own work cells. First, a mixed integer programming model is established, which considers the scheduling problems of jobs and machines in the work cells, and of jobs between work cells, based on the process plan flexibility. Second, in order to make real-time scheduling decisions, a framework of multi-task multi-agent reinforcement learning based on centralized training and decentralized execution is proposed. Each agent interacts with the environment and completes three decision-making tasks: job sequencing, machine selection, and process planning. In the process of centralized training, the value network is used to evaluate and optimize the policy network to achieve multi-agent cooperation, and the attention mechanism is introduced into the policy network to realize information sharing among multiple tasks. In the process of decentralized execution, each agent performs multiple task decisions through local observations according to the trained policy network. Then, observation, action, and reward are designed. Rewards include global and local rewards, which are decomposed into sub-rewards corresponding to tasks. The reinforcement learning training algorithm is designed based on a double-deep Q-network. Rolling bearing health status monitoring is essential for identifying early failures and avoiding un-planned downtime in industrial systems. To overcome the problems of existing entropy methods with multiple faults that are easily confounded at different scales, a weak signal feature extraction method based on refined composite multi-scale weighted entropy is proposed in this paper. The time–frequency domain features are constituted into a multi-dimensional original fault feature set, and the feature sensitivity is evaluated in terms of four feature evaluation criteria, in order to filter out a sensitive feature subset. Three types of refined composite multi-scale entropy are combined with sensitive feature parameters, in a weighted manner, through the use of the Hadamard product operation. The effects of different combinations of feature parameters on the refined composite multi-scale entropy are analyzed through experimental validation. According to the analysis of the experimental data from two test stations, the fault recognition rate reached 100% and 92.22%, respectively, based on the RCMWE method, starting from the first features. The results indicate that the proposed method can identify bearing fault types under different damage states at any scale, with the fault recognition rate being more stable than that of other methods. The proposed method can effectively distinguish rolling bearing health and fault states, providing higher classification accuracy for rolling bearing fault types and fault damage degrees. Safe and effective vaccines for Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) can prevent the virus from infecting human populations and treat patients infected with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). In this study, we discuss the inhibitory abilities of primary and booster vaccine-induced antibodies inhibitory ability toward the SARS-CoV-2 wild-type strain, as well as B.1.1.7, B.1.351, P.1, B.1.617.2, and B.1.1.529. We confirmed these antibodies had the strongest inhibitory effects on the wild-type strain and cross-inhibition activities against other mutant strains after two inactivated vaccine doses. However, the B.1.351, B.1.617.2 and B.1.1.529 mutants exhibit antibody resistance in the vaccine serum. Antibodies induced by homologous inactivated vaccines (n = 92) presented more effective inhibition against tested SARS-CoV-2 strains (p < 0.0001), especially B.1.351, B.1.617.2, and B.1.1.529 mutant strains, which had strong immune escape characteristics. In addition, a heterologous booster vaccination (n = 50) of a protein subunit vaccine ZifiVax (ZF2001) significantly restored humoral immune responses and even showed an increasing response against wild-type, B.1.351, B.1.617.2, and B.1.1.529 than homologous inactivated vaccines. Our analysis of the humoral immune response elicited by the different vaccine regimens, including inhibiting antibodies, indicated that a booster, whether homologous or heterologous, could be essential for achieving greater efficacy against SARS-CoV-2. To explore the synergistic effects of modified biochar in the purification of herbicide-containing wastewater, the effect of biochar addition on the removal effect of the herbicide atrazine in wastewater was verified by the addition of biochar bags in a small reed bed-constructed wetland in the laboratory. The results showed that the addition of sulfuric acid-modified biochar could increase the removal rate of atrazine in wastewater from 50% to 70%, and the COD elimination rate in wastewater was from 66.7% to 86.7%. The addition of biochar to the constructed reed bed wetland improved the removal efficiency of total nitrogen and total phosphorus in the wastewater, and the outlet water from the constructed wetland reached the Class III level of China's surface water quality standard (the inlet water was inferior to Class V). The experimental design met the requirements of low-cost, generalized atrazine-containing wastewater treatment and thus could have the potential for wide application. Trichoderma strains have been successfully used in plant disease control. However, the poor stress resistance of mycelia and conidia makes processing and storage difficult. Furthermore, they cannot produce chlamydospores in large quantities during fermentation, which limits the industrialization process of chlamydospore preparation. It is important to explore an efficient liquid fermentation strategy for ensuring chlamydospore production in Trichoderma harzianum. We found that the addition of mannitol, glycine betaine, and N-acetylglucosamine (N-A-G) during liquid fermentation effectively increases the yield of chlamydospores. Furthermore, we provided evidence that chlamydospores have stronger tolerance to high temperature, ultraviolet, and hypertonic stress after the addition of mannitol and trehalose. Lipids are an important component of microbial cells and impact the stress resistance of microorganisms. We studied the internal relationship between lipid metabolism and the stress resistance of chlamydospores by detecting changes in the lipid content and gene expression. Our results showed that mannitol and trehalose cause lipid accumulation in chlamydospores and increase the unsaturated fatty acid content. In conclusion, we verified that these exogenous regulators increase the production of chlamydospores and enhance their stress resistance by regulating lipid metabolism. In addition, we believe that lipid metabolism is an important part of the chlamydospore production process and impacts the stress resistance of chlamydospores. This paper studied a class of coupling problems of material assignment, part nesting, kit delivery and parallel machine scheduling. The aim of this paper was to solve the scheduling problem of metal structural part processing and welding assembly with eligibility constraints. A two-stage mixed-integer programming model was constructed. The eligibility constraints took into account the material type of parts and nesting. The objectives were to minimize the makespan, maximize material utilization and minimize the kit delivery metrics (kitting time and numbers of earliness and tardiness of kits). A hierarchical optimization approach was proposed. The scheduling model was solved by using the Gurobi solver in the first stage, and the results were used to constrain the second stage. The second stage of the scheduling model was solved using an improved multi-objective genetic algorithm. Due to the strong coupling relationships among the sorting of parts, the sorting of each profile and the sorting of each material, a hybrid encoding and decoding mode was designed for part sorting with eligibility constraints. Finally, the proposed scheduling approach was applied to actual production cases. The data showed that when the number of components exceeded 300 (the number of parts was about 1500), the material utilization reached 95%. Peroxiredoxins are a family of antioxidant proteins that protect cells from oxidative damage caused by reactive oxygen species (ROS). Herein, the peroxiredoxin 3 gene from grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idellus), named CiPrx3, was cloned and analyzed. The full-length cDNA of CiPrx3 is 1068 bp long, with a 753 bp open reading frame (ORF) that contains a thioredoxin-2 domain, two peroxiredoxin signature motifs, and two highly conserved cysteine residues. CiPrx3 was ubiquitously expressed in all the tested tissues, while its expression level was altered significantly after exposure to grass carp reovirus (GCRV) and pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs). CiPrx3 was localized in the mitochondria of transfected cells and concentrated in the nucleus after poly (I:C) treatment. Transformation of CiPrx3 into Escherichia coli enhanced host resistance to H2O2 and heavy metals. Purified recombinant CiPrx3 proteins could protect DNA against oxidative damage. Overexpression of CiPrx3 in fish cells reduced intracellular ROS, increased cell viability, and decreased cell apoptosis caused by H2O2 stimulation and GCRV infection. Further study indicated that CiPrx3 induced autophagy to inhibit GCRV replication in fish cells. High-entropy alloys (HEAs) with high hardness are promising materials for advanced industrial manufacturing. In this study, the AlCrFeNiV HEA was designed and successfully prepared using a plasma instantaneous process. The hardness test showed that AlCrFeNiV had a high hardness of 1076 ± 15 HV, which was much higher than those reported in the literature. The microstructure of AlCrFeNiV was composed of two different types of body-centered cubic (BCC) structures, BCC1 (Al, Cr, Fe, and Ni) and BCC2 (enriched V and Cr). A mixture of different BCC systems produced solution strengthening, which was responsible for the superior hardness. Moreover, the reciprocating sliding wear behavior of HEA against Al2O3 balls under dry and lubricated conditions at ambient temperature was investigated. The wear rates of AlCrFeNiV against Al2O3 under dry wear and lubrication were 17.2 × 10−5 mm3 N−1·m−1 and 12.4 × 10−5 mm3N−1·m−1, respectively, which were of the same order of magnitude as the wear rates of BCC HEAs. Background: Currently, reported COVID-19 deaths are inadequate to assess the impact of the pandemic on global excess mortality. All-cause excess mortality is a WHO-recommended index for assessing the death burden of COVID-19. However, the global excess mortality assessed by this index remains unclear. We aimed to assess the global excess mortality during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: We searched PubMed, EMBASE, and Web of Science for studies published in English between 1 January 2020, and 21 May 2022. Cross-sectional and cohort studies that reported data about excess mortality during the pandemic were included. Two researchers independently searched the published studies, extracted data, and assessed quality. The Mantel–Haenszel random-effects method was adopted to estimate pooled risk difference (RD) and their 95% confidence intervals (CIs). Results: A total of 79 countries from twenty studies were included. During the COVID-19 pandemic, of 2,228,109,318 individuals, 17,974,051 all-cause deaths were reported, and 15,498,145 deaths were expected. The pooled global excess mortality was 104.84 (95% CI 85.56–124.13) per 100,000. South America had the highest pooled excess mortality [134.02 (95% CI: 68.24–199.80) per 100,000], while Oceania had the lowest [−32.15 (95% CI: −60.53–−3.77) per 100,000]. Developing countries had higher excess mortality [135.80 (95% CI: 107.83–163.76) per 100,000] than developed countries [68.08 (95% CI: 42.61–93.55) per 100,000]. Lower middle-income countries [133.45 (95% CI: 75.10–191.81) per 100,000] and upper-middle-income countries [149.88 (110.35–189.38) per 100,000] had higher excess mortality than high-income countries [75.54 (95% CI: 53.44–97.64) per 100,000]. Males had higher excess mortality [130.10 (95% CI: 94.15–166.05) per 100,000] than females [102.16 (95% CI: 85.76–118.56) per 100,000]. The population aged ≥ 60 years had the highest excess mortality [781.74 (95% CI: 626.24–937.24) per 100,000]. Conclusions: The pooled global excess mortality was 104.84 deaths per 100,000, and the number of reported all-cause deaths was higher than expected deaths during the global COVID-19 pandemic. Catastrophic health expenditure (CHE) is a major obstacle to achieving universal health coverage, and body mass index (BMI) is linked to both health and economy. We aimed to explore the association of BMI with the risk of CHE to provide advice for reducing CHE. We used national cohort data from the China Family Panel Studies, which comprised 33,598 individuals (14,607 households) from 25 provinces between 2010 to 2018. We used multivariate Cox proportional hazard models to estimate adjusted hazard ratios (aHRs) and 95% confident interval (CI) for CHE in participants at underweight, overweight, and obesity, compared with those at normal weight. Restricted cubic splines were employed to model the association of continuous BMI scale with risk of CHE. We found that families with female household heads at underweight had a 42% higher risk of CHE (aHR = 1.42, 95%CI: 1.16–1.75), and those at overweight had a 26% increased risk of CHE (aHR = 1.26, 95%CI: 1.09–1.47), compared with those at normal weight. A weak U-shaped curve for the association of continuous BMI with risk of CHE in female-headed households (p for non-linear = 0.0008) was observed, which was not significant in male-headed households (p for non-linear = 0.8725). Ginsenoside Rg1 is an important active substance isolated from the root of ginseng. In previous studies, Rg1 has shown excellent therapeutic effects in antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and metabolic modulation. However, the therapeutic targets of Rg1 are still unknown. In this study, we investigated the therapeutic effects of Rg1 on oxidative stress-related liver damage. The oxidative stress damage model was achieved by intraperitoneal injection of D-galactose (D-gal) for 42 consecutive days in C57BL/6J mice. Rg1 treatment started on Day 16. Body weight, liver weight, degree of hepatic oxidative stress damage, serum lipid levels, and hepatic lipid and glucose metabolism were measured. Proteomics analysis was used to measure liver protein expression. The differential expression proteins were analyzed with bioinformatics. The results showed that Rg1 treatment attenuated liver damage from oxidative stress, reduced hepatic fat accumulation, promoted hepatic glycogen synthesis, and attenuated peripheral blood low-density lipoprotein (LDL), cholesterol (CHO), and triglycerides (TG) levels. Proteomic analysis suggested that Rg1 may regulate hepatocyte metabolism through ECM–Receptor, the PI3K-AKT pathway. The epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and activator of transcription 1 (STAT1) may be the key protein. In conclusion, this study provides an experimental basis for further clarifying the specific mechanism of Rg1 in the treatment of oxidative stress damage-related liver disease. Nitrogen (N) plays an important role in the growth cycle of the potato, and is an important guarantee of yield and quality. Rational N application is one of the key ways to improve a crop's high and stable yield and economic and environmental benefits. The N nutrition level of potato regulates the gene expression of enzymes related to the N metabolism pathway, which shows the change of the activity of key enzymes in N metabolism, and finally realizes the regulation of N absorption and utilization. In this study, the key enzyme genes and enzyme activity of different genotypes of potato under different N supply treatments were identified, which laid a foundation for further exploration of the functions of each gene in the potato N metabolism pathway and provided theoretical basis for rational N application. The results showed that the relative expression levels of StNRT1.5, StNR, StNiR in leaves, StNRT2.5, StNRT2.4, StGS1-2 in roots and StNRT2.7, StGS1-3, StGS2, StGS1-4, StFd-GOGAT in leaves and roots showed that the levels of N-inefficient potato Atlantic (A) were higher than the N-efficient potato Yanshu 4 (Y), while the relative expression levels of StNRT2.5, StGS1-2 in leaves, StNRT1.5StNR, StNiR in roots and StGDH, StNADH-GOGAT in leaves and roots showed that levels in Yanshu 4 (Y) were higher than in Atlantic (A). At the same time, we especially found that the GDH activity in the leaves of the two genotypes of potato were higher at low N levels. Additionally, the activity of NR and NiR, and the activity of GS and GOGAT were correlated. In addition, the changes of key enzymes in different N metabolism showed a certain continuity with the advancement of growth and development, and some gene expression rules and enzyme activity changes also showed a certain consistency. Background: The immunogenicity and safety of COVID-19 vaccines among people living with human immunodeficiency virus (PLWH) are unclear. We aimed to evaluate the immunogenicity and safety of COVID-19 vaccines among PLWH. Methods: We systematically searched PubMed, EMBASE, and Web of Science from 1 January 2020 to 28 April 2022 and included observational studies, randomized clinical trials, and non-randomized clinical trials reporting extractable data about the immunogenicity and safety of COVID-19 vaccines among PLWH. Results: A total of 34 eligible studies covering 4517 PLWH were included. The pooled seroconversion rates among PLWH after the first and second doses were 67.51% (95% confident interval (CI) 49.09–85.93%) and 96.65% (95%CI 95.56–97.75%), respectively. The seroconversion was similar between PLWH and healthy controls after the first (risk ratio (RR) = 0.89, 95%CI 0.76–1.04) and the second (RR = 0.97, 95%CI 0.93–1.00) dose. Moreover, the geometric mean titer (GMT) showed no significant difference between PLWH and healthy controls after the first dose (standardized mean difference (SMD) = 0.30, 95%CI -1.11, 1.70) and the second dose (SMD = -0.06, 95%CI -0.18, 0.05). Additionally, the pooled incidence rates of total adverse events among PLWH after the first and the second dose were 46.55% (95%CI 28.29–64.82%) and 30.96% (95%CI 13.23–48.70%), respectively. There was no significant difference in risks of total adverse events between PLWH and healthy controls after the first (RR = 0.86, 95%CI 0.67–1.10) and the second (RR = 0.88, 95%CI 0.68–1.14) dose. Conclusions: The available evidence suggested that the immunogenicity and safety of COVID-19 vaccines among PLWH were acceptable. Morphodynamic variabilities of tidal flats (e.g., the variations of pattern, area, and topography) are a key issue in the management of coastal intertidal zones. In this study, the morphodynamic variabilities of the Lin-gang (Shanghai) tidal flat were investigated using waterlines extracted from multi-source satellite images acquired from 2013 to 2020. The waterlines were evaluated against in situ measurements. The results of our investigation indicated that the tidal flat was in a state of rapid accretion from 2015 to 2018, and in a state of erosion from 2018 to 2020. We found that the accretion of the tidal flat was most likely due to the protection of local vegetation, which prevents the sea bottom from eroding. However, storms have primarily been causing erosion since 2018. The potential mechanisms of the geomorphological variations were further analyzed using the empirical orthogonal function (EOF) method. The analysis revealed that the variation in the tidal flat was dominated by two modes. The first mode accounted for 55% of the variation, while the second mode accounted for 18%. The spatial distribution of the first mode was highly related to the artificial vegetation, indicating that the local variations in the vegetation prevented the sea bottom from eroding, which was dominant in the accretional phase from 2015 to 2018. The second model reflected the extreme meteorological events that resulted in potential changes in the tidal flat's pattern (i.e., transitioning to an erosion phase from 2018 to 2020). Mandarin fish has an XX/XY sex-determination system. The female mandarin fish is typically larger than the male. Sex identification and the discovery of genes related to sex determination in mandarin fish have important theoretical significance in the elucidation of the regulation and evolutionary mechanism of animal reproductive development. In this study, the chromosome-level genome of a female mandarin fish was assembled, and we found that LG24 of the genome was an X chromosome. A total of 61 genes on the X chromosome showed sex-biased expression. Only six gonadal genes (LG24G00426, LG24G003280, LG24G003300, LG24G003730, LG24G004200, and LG24G004770) were expressed in the testes, and the expression of the other gene LG24G003870 isoform 1 in the ovaries was significantly higher than that in the testes (p < 0.01). Five (except LG24G003280 and LG24G003300) of the seven aforementioned genes were expressed at the embryonic development stage, suggesting their involvement in early sex determination. The expression of LG24G004770 (encoding HS6ST 3-B-like) was also significantly higher in female muscles than in male muscles (p < 0.01), indicating other functions related to female growth. ZP3 encoded by LG24G003870 isoform 1 increased the C-terminal transmembrane domain, compared with that encoded by other fish zp3 isoforms, indicating their different functions in sex determination or differentiation. The rhizomes of Alpinia officinarum Hance (known as the smaller galangal) have been used as a traditional medicine for over 1000 years. Nevertheless, little research is available on the bacteriostatic activity of the herb rhizomes. In this study, we employed, for the first time, a chloroform and methanol extraction method to investigate the antibacterial activity and components of the rhizomes of A. officinarum Hance. The results showed that the growth of five species of pathogenic bacteria was significantly inhibited by the galangal methanol-phase extract (GMPE) (p < 0.05). The GMPE treatment changed the bacterial cell surface hydrophobicity, membrane fluidity and/or permeability. Comparative transcriptomic analyses revealed approximately eleven and ten significantly altered metabolic pathways in representative Gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus and Gram-negative Enterobacter sakazakii pathogens, respectively (p < 0.05), demonstrating different antibacterial action modes. The GMPE was separated further using a preparative high-performance liquid chromatography (Prep-HPLC) technique, and approximately 46 and 45 different compounds in two major component fractions (Fractions 1 and 4, respectively) were identified using ultra-HPLC combined with mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS) techniques. o-Methoxy cinnamaldehyde (40.12%) and p-octopamine (62.64%) were the most abundant compounds in Fractions 1 and 4, respectively. Aiming to resolve the problem of redundant information concerning rolling bearing degradation characteristics and to tackle the difficulty faced by convolutional deep learning models in learning feature information in complex time series, a prediction model for remaining useful life based on multiscale fusion permutation entropy (MFPE) and a multiscale convolutional attention neural network (MACNN) is proposed. The original signal of the rolling bearing was extracted and decomposed by resonance sparse decomposition to obtain the high-resonance and low-resonance components. The multiscale permutation entropy of the low-resonance component was calculated. Moreover, the locally linear-embedding algorithm was used for dimensionality reduction to remove redundant information. The multiscale convolution module was constructed to learn the feature information at different time scales. The attention module was used to fuse the feature information and input it into the remaining useful life prediction module for evaluation. The appropriate network structure and parameter configuration were determined, and a multiscale convolutional attention neural network was designed to determine the remaining useful life prediction model. The results show that the method demonstrates effectiveness and superiority in degrading the feature information representation and improving the remaining useful life prediction accuracy compared with other models. Background: Asymptomatic infections are potential sources of transmission for coronavirus disease 2019, especially during the epidemic of the SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant. We aimed to assess the percentage of asymptomatic infections among SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant-positive individuals detected by gene sequencing or specific polymerase chain reaction (PCR). Methods: We searched PubMed, EMBASE, and Web of Science from 26 November 2021 to 13 April 2022. This meta-analysis was conducted following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines and was registered with PROSPERO (CRD42022327894). Three researchers independently extracted data and two researchers assessed quality using pre-specified criteria. The pooled percentage with 95% confidence interval (CI) of asymptomatic infections of SARS-CoV-2 Omicron was estimated using random-effects models. Results: Our meta-analysis included eight eligible studies, covering 7640 Omicron variant-positive individuals with 2190 asymptomatic infections. The pooled percentage of asymptomatic infections was 32.40% (95% CI: 25.30–39.51%) among SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant-positive individuals, which was higher in the population in developing countries (38.93%; 95% CI: 19.75–58.11%), with vaccine coverage ≥ 80% (35.93%; 95% CI: 25.36–46.51%), with a travel history (40.05%; 95% CI: 7.59–72.51%), community infection (37.97%; 95% CI: 10.07–65.87%), and with a median age < 20 years (43.75%; 95% CI: 38.45–49.05%). Conclusion: In this systematic review and meta-analysis, the pooled percentage of asymptomatic infections was 32.40% among SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant-positive individuals. The people who were vaccinated, young (median age < 20 years), had a travel history, and were infected outside of a clinical setting (community infection) had higher percentages of asymptomatic infections. Screening is required to prevent clustered epidemics or sustained community transmission caused by asymptomatic infections of Omicron variants, especially for countries and regions that have successfully controlled SARS-CoV-2.
